The whatnow?

Thought I'd do a little rehaul on my old birthday countdown site and it got a little out of hand...

The scale grew from H!P/SNSD chicks to... everyone! In addition to the birthdates we can now store
a whole bunch of information and apply it to different forum-related things. It's no wikipedia, but it's pretty
handy for storing basic info, links, pics and stuff like that.

Anyway, go take a look around the site, click stuff, enjoy.

The people

There are a lot of different people in the database. Basically the people included can be anyone we talk about or oogle at
here in the forums in the various sub-sections and threads.

People are separated first into large umbrella categories, that currently are:

Actor - Actors/actresses of all kinds, TV/Movie/Stage etc
AKB48 - Everyone belonging to the AKB48verse and affiliates
Athlete - Athletes of all sports and kinds
Hello! Project - Current and former H!P and affiliates (Nice Girl Project, Tsunku & co, etc)
Idoling!!! - Idoling and affiliates
J-pop - J-pop artists and rest of the idols
Johnny's - Johnny's Entertainment dudes
K-pop - K-pop artists and idols
Model - Everyone who mainly poses in front of a camera, Gravure, Supermodel, Race Queen, etc
Musician - Musicians, that do not fit in k-pop or j-pop
RLD - Short for Red Light District, in short, porn! Fully clothed, however xD

Then people can have any number of tags that separate them into smaller groups.

The feedback

I'd be interested in all of your comments, feedback and suggestions for improvement. Just make a
post or if you want, toss me a pm. If you find some massive bug better just pm me first. xD

Take note that that site is under constant development. This means you should double-check all the errors you get,
and also that a lot of the information, especially descriptions and tag info, is just not "there yet".

Stay tuned for an update to the picroda within a few days.

To-do:
- the good old personal counters
- search functions
- some forum integration
- support for "just birthdate, no year known"

For some reason when I read this thread earlier I really didn't understand what the site was about and I was going to be like "Oh, could help deft with kpop maybe if needed??" but now I see...
(I wouldn't be very helpful/more helpful that current Hipstaz helping out when it comes to birthdays! D: )

Some additional stuff about being an editor:

You are not restricted to any specific category
You can edit/update stuff other people added
The editor interface can be a tad confusing sometimes, but...

Yeah we were thinking about that. Maybe to replace the Ajax Chat button since it seems to have kinda died after we got our new irc server up.

Looks nice and clean, good job

Maybe some RSS feeds either for groups or even individual ones (user can select a couple groups) would be a nice addition in the future.

Appreciated the tooltips, really the whole thing is just easy to use so I have zero complaints. It's a soul destroying job, having to look up beautiful ladies and all but hey, someone has to do it right?

Few changes to the editor:

1. You now have an option to specify a title for a person's forum link for clarification.

This should be used in those cases where the person doesn't have a thread of their own and you're linking to their group/sport/etc thread instead.
For example, Jaekyung from Rainbow, her forum link is to the Rainbow thread, so the title should be "Official Rainbow Thread" or similar
The title will be displayed along with the link on the info pages, tooltips and wherever else is appropriate.
Again, specifying this is not mandatory.

2. You can now add links (official sites, twitters, blogs etc) to group tags and categories with the tag editor.

Usage identical to the people editor.

I updated Team K, Team S, Team KII and added the Team Z and Not Yet tags.

If anyone is bored: Team E, SKE48 Kenkuusei, AKB48 kenkyuusei, NMB48 and SDN48 second gen members are still left to complete

I'd really like to see Team E complete, so SKE48 will have it's 48 regular members.

edit: oh and Team Dragon tags could be useful for future reference.

Even though these appear in the correct chronological order on the countdown page, they're out of order here.
