Ayame was a guest on Sekaiichi Uketai Jugyou (120107) and she really stole the spotlight. There were two AKB48 girls there as well (one of my favorites even), but Ayame really upstaged them. She looked amazingly beautiful. I gotta start watching her doramas and stuff.

Gouriki Ayame gives her Valentine’s Day Chocolate cake to 14 year old actor Thomas Horn

On February 14th, actress Gouriki Ayame attended a press event for the Oscar candidate film, “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” at a hotel in Tokyo. The young 14-year-old American actor Thomas Horn was also in Japan to promote the film.

Since it was Valentine’s Day, Gouriki explained that she tried to look mature and sweet at the same time for the event. She also gave Thomas Horn a handmade chocolate cake in the shape of a heart and said, “There was a lot of love that went into making this.”

He accepted the gift with an embarrassed smile and said, “I previously made a chocolate cake myself, so I know how difficult it is. Thank you very much.”

The starring actors in the film are Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock, which probably makes it difficult for new young talents such as Thomas Horn to gain attention. However, he plays a very important role and impresses with a great performance. Gouriki commented, “I was totally fixed on Thomas’ acting and was able to really empathy with his character. It was as if I was experiencing the same things myself.”

Thomas Horn explained how grateful he feels towards his co-actors and the team for supporting him so much through the filming and how fortunate it was for him to get selected for this role.

Gouriki attentively listened to his story and commented, “He sounds like he’s a very reliable person. I still remember how nervous I was when I played my first role, so I hope I can follow his example.”

She asked him to give her advice on how to get rid of the tension and he said, “I was just as anxious as well and questioned myself whether I’m really read for this, but the director always told me that I can do it. That’s when I started to think to myself, ‘Even if you make a mistake, you can always perform better in the next take.’”

“From now on I’m always going to tell myself that I can do it!” Gouriki replied with a smile.

Gouriki Ayame & Kikukawa Rei attend ‘Kimono Queen Contest 2012′

On February 18th, actresses Kikukawa Rei (33) and Gouriki Ayame (19) made their appearance ‘Kimono Queen Contest 2012’ in gorgeous kimonos at this event.

At this contest, Kikukawa wore a simple, white kimono while Gouriki wore an elegant, black kimono to this event. Regarding this annual contest, Gouriki stated, “I love kimonos. It was a lot of fun.” She added, “I think a white kimono is perfect for a wedding. I yearn for it,” and admired a traditional Japanese wedding.

Then Kikukawa, Gouriki’s senior at her agency, declared, “I hope she doesn’t get married before me!” In response to this light joke, Gouriki assured her with, “I wouldn’t, I wouldn’t. I would marry when I find time in my personal life.” Kikukawa then revealed, “I don’t have any plan of marrying just yet, I want to ask God when the time will come,” and smiled with this comment.

Gouriki Ayame chosen as new campaign character for “Vehicle Liability Insurance”

On February 28th, actress Gouriki Ayame attended a press conference for the “Mandatory Vehicle Liability Insurance PR Campaign” as its new campaign character.

Although she’s yet to obtain her driver’s license, Gouriki commented, “I want to go to the beach by myself. On my first drive, I want my friend to be in the passenger seat. With my friend, I want to go to Hakone.”

The “Mandatory Vehicle Liability Insurance” covers the insured person for damages caused to a third-party in traffic accidents. Gouriki will be featured in ads and posters to cultivate a better understanding for the insurance. Meanwhile, the CMs starring the actress will broadcast starting March 1st.

“In the car, I receive advice from my mother. It’s a place where we can converse naturally,” Gouriki shared. She also showed enthusiasm in her new role saying, “I want to convey it (the insurance) so that people in their teens will be able to understand it.”
