Yoshino san, thanks for starting this thread. I have recently finished watching the series "Tumbling" which has a large cast, but Ryoko had a key role in the series and did a great job. I can't remember her charcter in My Darling is a Foreigner / Is He Turning Japanese? (2010), but she must have played the older sister of Mao Inoue's character???

And once again....Ryoko is from Okinawa, the land of beatiful actresses and singers...........

^^ Haven't seen Tumbling but may, think her drama Romes is going to be the next watch. What got me thinking about her(more) was watching Densha Otoko recently, unless you really knew what she looked like you wouldn't have regonized her as the nurse who was one of his Internet friends, to be honest first time I saw the film didn't know it was her.

Ryoko's new drama called Hungry! started last night, promo poster for it above plus at a interview for the show and a pic of her from the show's site.

Have seen the Densha Otoko movie too many times to count but hate to admit first few times watching didn't realize that was Ryoko as the nurse.

ちゅらさん / Churasan - An NHK television series that debuted on April 2, 2001. The show was very popular and led to versions 2, 3, and 4.

Above mentioned Ryoko played lead character "Eri Uemura". The fictional Eri was born on May 15, 1972. Ryoko wins "Best Actress" award at 30th Television Drama Academy Awards. Also winning are Tomi Taira (Best Supporting Actress) , 'Gori' (Best Newcomer), and Yoshikazu Okada (Best Screenwriter)

Sometime, 1996-Vocalist Chiharu Tomashiro and pianist Ayano Kinjou debut as duet with the name 'Kiroro' (derived from an Ainu word that Chiharu learned during a school visit to Hokkaido)

April, 2001- Kiroro provide music for the series.
