OS Fics indexMASQUERADE PARTY Upon her arrival at Tokyo International Airport she immediately turns on her mobile phone because while inside the airplane it’s prohibited to use some digital devices it might interfere the communication signal while still on the air. This time she travelled separately with her assistants due to some peaceful reason that she wants to be alone. Only wearing a plain casual dress but still it made her look perfectly nice that made everyone turns their head and look at her. While stepping down on the escalator her phone rang.
“Moshi Moshi..” she answers
“Ah.. Atsuko Sama, we would like to inform you that we’ll going to be late, apparently there is an accident happening here on the road which cause a traffic going to there and we can’t shift roads to shortcut because me and the others are stuck in the middle already.. I really apologize for this..” Yuutan, one of her assistants called her.
“Sou desu.. Well I guess I don’t have a choice but to wait you here.. ” she sighs
“Sumimasen… This wouldn’t be long.. Just stay in safe place onegaishimasu and refrain from talking to strangers..” Yuutan reminding her safety
“Daijoubu.. I’m not a little girl anymore.. Don’t worry I’ll be fine.. Maybe I should just wander around here and eat I guess..”
“Please be careful Atsuko sama..” her assistant reminding her again while she just smile and turn off her iphone and start to stroll around. Seeing lots of souvenir stores and coffee shops inside the airport have astonished her, she wants to try all the cakes and desserts displayed in each block. While leisurely walking someone approach her.
“Ah ano.. hajimemashite.. Are you lost from your group?” A small girl that has ribbon on her hair asks showing a worry face.
“Huh..? Are you talking to me?” she pointed herself out
“Yes You standing in front of me.. ” the small girl nod
“Oh sorry to made you worry, I’m not involve in a group and I’m just roaming around while waiting to my service” she bowed to the small girl.
“Sou.. Sorry too making such a weird approach, I really thought you were lost because you keep on walking all around.. Is this your first time here in Japan?” the ribbon girl ask
“Nope..It’s my second time actually but I was too young then when I got my first visit here so I really don’t remember the place.”
“Would you mind if I invite you to have some hot choco it’s my treat since you’re a tourist in my country” the small girl showing her sincere smile to assure her that she’s not a bad person.
“Su sure..That would be nice..” she accept the offer without any hesitation. They both headed in the near café still inside in the airport. Time passed quickly as they chat and talk randomly about the delicious meals in Japan. When the tall girl’s mobile phone rang again she instantly responded, her assistant is now waiting to her outside looking for her.
“My service is here picking me up.. I better go now.. and Thank you so much for your hospitality.. I won’t forget you..” she stand and bowed to the ribbon girl whom she didn’t think asking her name. Actually they haven’t introduced their selves to one another they just talk and talk without noticing it. As she was about to go exit on the door the small girl called her.
“Chotto! I haven’t know your name..” she pouted
The girl just chuckled seeing her in that way like a child “Just call me acchan..how about you?” throwing the question back.
“Takamina.. call me Takamina desu..” smiling to her in response.
“See you aroud Takamina.. I hope we can meet again..” acchan then leaves the café swinging the door while takamina looking at her stepping inside the car leaving.
Takamina POV “
why does I didn’t ask her name at the start? I didn’t even ask her number or the place she was going to, I’m such a failure when it comes to this” she just back to her normal condition when someone shouted her name waving at her.
“TAKAMINA!!!!!!!” her best friend yuko , only taller an inch from her.
“Yuko! Finally your plane landed! I’m so early here you know and you’re late more than an hour” takamina shaking her head for disappointment.
“I’m sowee takamidget.. My flight has been delayed neee don’t be mad at me I have lots of gifts for you and im sure you will like it.. Well as a matter of fact being late must made you happy..am I right? Who is she by the way?” yuko saw the scene when acchan and takamina talking before saying goodbye
“She’s just a tourist here.. Just arrive too and waiting for her escort being late like you..” takamina look back to her
“Ja ja.. That’s enough of me.. You seemed interested on her.. Ahhh I know.. You like her? Are you?” yuko teasing her best friend
“Eh?? How can you say that, we just met” takamina denying while her face shows the proof
“Baka! That’s what you called crush on first sight! Kyaaaa ” yuko making a love gesture
“Wrong its love at first sight!” takamina corrected her
“SEE??? I know right!! I said that on purpose midget.. That girl caught you!” yuko giving her an evil laugh
“If I met her again without finding her, I’m going to admit your opinion” takamina frown dragging the squirrel teeth girl outside where they service was waiting for them too. While in the car yuko bring out a small envelope with a card and read the words on it.
“Masquerade Party huh?.. ”
“Sure is.. Marichan was preparing it for the whole time” takamina look at card too
“I wonder who are the visitors except us of course..” yuko
“Last time we talk she told me she’s going to invite a royalty” takamina
“Like a King? Or an Emperor?” yuko
“Kinda.. I’m not sure too.. Oh crap this party worries me, I Don’t have anything to wear yet..” takamina tilting her head
“Don’t worry midget, I’ve already prepared it just for you.. This one suits you..” yuko wink at her.
Shinoda Mariko owns most of the luxury hotels not just only in Japan, Every year she will hold an event in one of her hotels to give recognition. This year she decided the theme as a mysterious one, a masquerade party she taught this idea to hide one’s face wearing a mask so that it will be more exciting dancing with someone whom you never knew. Mariko invited the most prominent guests all over the world including her friends Takahashi Minami the CEO of the largest recording company, Oshima Yuko the famous cruise owner and Kojima Haruna yuko’s partner and fiancée.
Yuko and Takamina already check in on the venue since it’s a hotel, this isn’t a ordinary hotel because it’s only exclusive for those who’s in high society such as them. The party would be tomorrow evening and like them all the guest are arriving one by one signing their name for identification because mariko made it really secured so that no one can trespassed the event.
Yuko was the one who sign first “Yatta my nyna nyan is already here” seeing her lovers name already signed. Suddenly saying this, a tall girl was already in the lobby standing and waiting for her.
“yuuchan!! You’re late! You said you will arrive by 8pm, its already 10!” haruna scolding her girlfriend, while takamina was amused of the scene as always, she ignored the couple and sign her name out. After she finishes signing she saw a name that caught her attention.
Princess Atsuko from the kingdom of Akihabara, she awe as she saw this, mariko really invited some royalties and she’s already here, seeing the name already being signed she thought of this and headed her way to the couple.
“Yuko let’s go shall we? You two continue doing that in our room” takamina interrupting them
“Hai..” couple agreed. As they went to their room yuko brings out some stuff giving it to haruna and takamina.
“Yuuchan.. you really know my taste..” Haruna touching the jewelry set that yuko gave her
“Takamina.. you are going to wear that on the party, now open it!” yuko ordering her
“Eh?? What is this??” takamina growls
“It’s an outfit silly” yuko
“I know right! But why is this? I mean this type?” takamina
“You don’t like it? So you wanna wear some bulky gowns? While wearing a masque?” yuko
“No I’m not too!” takamina “but this is a tux? Do you think it will suit me?” she continues
“Of course it is..you’ll look good on it..” yuko
“Takamina…I find it nice maybe all the girls would like to dance with you tomorrow so kakkoiiii..” haruna imagining things while looking at takamina
“Haist.. Well said.. I guess I have no choice.. I should make my mask more mysterious so that no one would really recognize me” takamina set this as an idea for her masque
While on the other room, acchan arrived 30 minutes ahead before takamina. The princess is thinking hardly what she would wear at the event. Her assistant showing her 3 sets of gowns made her frustrated because as far as she would she doesn’t want to wear some extravagant clothing just to show that she’s a princess she didn’t even bring her crown with her. She wants to make it as simple as possible, so she requested another set of viewing from her designer to pick with. After finalizing what she’s wanna wore for tomorrow’s event she decided to explore the hotel again, she loves doing this especially when the place is new to her. Still wearing a plain simple dress while her assistant yuutan follows her from behind guarding her princess.
On the same floor, takamina decided to leave the kojiyuu couple to have their time and check if mariko is doing great for all her preparation. While takamina busy dialing mariko’s number on her phone she didn’t notice a girl coming who is busy on her mobile too blogging the pictures she just snap out. Takamina going to the south hall and acchan going north hall they didn’t see each other until their shoulders bump making them pause and looked one another. Takamina widened her eyes as she didn’t expect that the girl was her while yuutan was about to run after acchan when the princess glared at her assistant’s eye saying by the look of don’t interfere.
“Acchan?? Wh what are you..” takamina couldn’t talk properly as she felt happy seeing the girl again she can’t blurt out her words
“Takamina! Nice to see you again..” Acchan greeted her with a smile on her face, that was the sweetest smile she gave to takamina, that the small girl stun and lightly blush
“Me too..It’s happy to see you too..Really..Im happy..” takamina muttering her words, before she could ask again another question someone scream her name interrupting them again
“Takamina!!” she turns as someone called her, she saw it was mariko
“ahh sorry for disturbing..I need your help!! Please come with me right now I have a problem..” mariko dragging her that she can’t resist, while mariko taking her she looked at acchan and mouthing her lips “can we meet again?”
Acchan surprise by the scene bite her lower lip before smiling “sure..see you around..” the princess gestures her hands waving to the small girl being dragged up.
“Marichan.. Honestly is this what you called a problem? You need me by just tasting the menu for tomorrow’s party? What the heck you ruined my moment there” she deeply sigh in regret, still thinking on acchan’s face, but on the other part of her mind she’s really happy knowing that she and acchan were on the same place, she will definitely meet her again within this hotel.
“But Takamina you’re good on this specially on desserts.. So I trust you.. Now taste the one that you like, what will you choose will be the one were going to serve at the party” mariko showing her sympathy on her eyes begging the midget
“Alright alright.. But tell me.. The girl I’ve met there, is she one of your visitors?” takamina
“Hmm well I really didn’t see her face that clearly.. So I don’t know..” mariko
THE PARTY
“Takamina! You’re taking so long to dress up your outfit we are going to be late! Come on out now!” yuko pouting her lips looking at the door where takamina is in.
“I’m going out..” takamina making a dork face
“Sugoii!! You so handsome takamina!” haruna praising her
“Don’t look at her nyan nyan.. See it really suits you my friend” yuko giving her a pat. Takamina is wearing all black that really suits her make her not look small but more like a handsome guy. Her mask is black too covering her face really makes her mysterious like a phantom searching for her rose. Haruna wearing a red gown and yuko wearing light mint colored dress that makes her look so cute even more. As they arrived at the venue hall, all of the guest are wearing mask it’s really difficult to identify each of them. Someone moves closer to them and make a manly voice frightening the three of them.
“Can I join you?” said the husky voice to them
“Eh.. who are you? ” yuko clings to haruna afraid on the voice
“HAHAHAHA it’s me.. you’re really easy to tease yuko..” mariko laughs at them revealing her face.
“Marichan! You got me there” yuko, while takamina didn’t react as she knows it was mariko because the height and the hair is so obvious. Marisko is also wearing a tux so takamina felt kinda relieve as the host of the party itself dress like that.
“You guys move forward we will about to start” mariko telling them to go to their table at the front. When they got their takamina was just letting her eyes do the work busy inspecting the people around, playing a guessing game in her mind if who’s behind that mask. Until another guest arrived wearing all blue from her mask to her dress to her shoes. She’s very stunning on that outfit, an aura of a gorgeous girl behind that mask.
The ushers were guiding her in the table which was located beside takamina, yuko and haruna’s table. As the small girl examining the just arrived guest she can’t configure who it was, she just let her curiosity set aside as the event started. Mariko giving some welcome speech and talking about some business related topics and more. After when the dinner was served the dance will about to start, this was the main event of the party, dancing to someone you didn’t recognize.
“I wonder who is the princess here..” yuko whispers to her best friend
“I wonder that too, it’s really hard to guess on this event..” takamina replied
“I hope I will be able to dance her” yuko saying her motive
“eh? How about nyan nyan? I guess I will be dancing with your fiancée huh.. ” takamina
“No way! She’s mine.. Alright the princess is yours, if you could find her though..” yuko stuck her tongue out
The rule of the dance is simple if you have no partner then you must draw inside the box, the box contains 2 pairs of colors. Whoever has the same color with you shall be your partner. Takamina pick her color as she has no partner obviously, she had picked the color red. The mysterious girl draw in the box too as she has no partner also. Surprisingly she caught the same color as takamina which was red, the small girl felt nervous and gulps as this girl wearing all blue showed her the color too.
The dance started the song was ballad all the pair started to dance some were sweet and some were shy just like takamina and her partner. They didn’t even talk for the whole dance, they just sway their bodies according to the rhythm and avoiding each other’s eyes.
Takamina POV “
her scent is familiar”
Finally drinks are served the dance would be stop for a while to have some tossed to each other. Yuko and haruna were busy snuggling one another, mariko were talking to some of the guests also, takamina noticed her partner going somewhere, she followed her and found the girl on the veranda viewing the city lights sparkling in the night.
“Ehmm.. May I join you..” takamina finally spoke ofeering a girl a glass of wine.
“unn..” the girl just nod and take the glass
“It’s so beautiful isn’t it? I love this kind of view also.. so relaxing..” takamina open up a topic first
“I agree..” she softly spoke “This is a beautiful country..” she added
“So you’re not from here?” takamina
“Hai..I came from another country..” she answers, all of a sudden takamina remembers acchan by saying this, she look at the girl closely and observe the resemblance of their smile as she recalls acchan’s face on her mind. DEG she felt weird thinking of the possibility that this girl is acchan, she really think hardly how could she ask a proper way to remove her mask and show her face.
“Ano..Would you mind introducing one another.. I mean.. the party is almost done and I guess we can now remove the mask to properly commence each other” takamina bringing her confident to highest level to say this. When the girl was about to answer someone came in from their location and bowed to to her.
“Princess I thought you’ve gone somewhere.. please let us know if where are you going..” the person bowed
“Gomen.. I’m just here breathing some fresh air.. Don’t worry just go back inside I won’t going anywhere” commanding the person, as it leave right away leaving the two of them alone.
“You’re the princess? Maeda Atsuko?” takamina can’t hide her expression, and then she bowed “Nice to meet you, your highness”
“Onegai..don’t do such formality I’m here as a guests don’t treat me special..” acchan
“But you are special..” takamina
“No I’m not.. I’m just a human like you.. Being born as a princess..” she smiles then removing her mask slowly “I’m Maeda Atsuko from Akihabara.. yoroshiku..” she bend her legs holding her dress, bowing a princess style. Takamina’s heart was thumping she can’t barely manage it, the girl from the airport, the one that yuko teases her as crush at first sight was a princess? That’s all she thought seeing the face she wanted to see and finally no one is interrupting them.
“Acchan..” She spoke with shaky words grabbing the girls’ hand and say “I’m Takahashi Minami yoroshiku..” slowly she untied her mask revealing her face “They called me takamina too..” giving her warmest smile showing her dimples.
“Takamina?? What a coincident is this.. I mean since yesterday at the airport right? Then being you as my partner in the dance and then here?” acchan can’t hide her surprise looking at person in front of her, happiness is in their eyes words can’t express.
Takamina POV “
yuko’s right this is love..”
They spend the night knowing each other more this time in details and this time no more disruption calling one another by their first name not by their nicknames. The following daysTakamina toured acchan in the city showing her the beautiful sceneries of Japan. It’s more like a date if you imagined it since only the two of them were strolling for the whole week. Until the time when acchan was about to leave and go back to her country.
“Atsuko.. Will you ever come back here?” takamina
“Of course I will, I just need to set things up back there, I already told my mom about this.. and minami..” acchan
“Hai?” takamina
“I want to live here…” acchan
“Really? Is your parent ok with that? I mean your kingdom? You’re the heiress right?” takamina
“No I’m not I’m the second daughter, so the kingdom is not my responsibility.. I’m asking you if you want me to live here..”acchan
“I really really really do atsuko.. Just now I don’t wanna let you go..” takamina
“I’m happy to hear that..wait for me.. It won’t be long..” acchan
“I will..and when you’re ready to come back here, I will be the one to pick you up in your kingdom..”takamina
“Keep your word minami.. I’m expecting that..” acchan kiss her on the cheeks, the she heard her flight announced by the attendant. When she about to go and leave, takamina grab her hand reaching her waist and kissed her on lips, as the princess replied the kiss lasted some moments that all the people stared at them in awe feeling their love to one another. No need to say the words that they like each other, their actions speaks from it.
“Take care my princess.. I’ll be waiting..” takamina pulled out the kiss
“I will return.. That’s a promise..And I’m gonna make sure we will not be parted again” acchan looking at her and lean a last kiss on her lips as she leave waving to her midget.
