BRAKK!!!
Someone showed up from the door. Like I was used to it, I didn’t feel surprised though she opened the door so hard. I think my father who had meeting downstairs would probably hear it.
“Sayaka!” shouted that person at me. Like I knew what she was going to say, I just continued reading books and chewing gum.
I heard her footsteps, she walked closer and stood beside me.
“You did it again!” she said.
“Hah? What is it now Milky?” responded with lazy tone.
“I have arranged everything and you for many times ruined it that easy!”
The book that I read was getting into the interesting part and I was really into it. I didn’t hear what Milky said to me at all. Even half.
I saw my book flew away from my hands, Milky took it and threw it away.
“Hey!! I’m reading it, you know!”
“I’m talking here you know! How can you ignore me!”
“Okay…” I got up from my chair and stood in front of her. “…was it about the meeting this afternoon?”
“Yes! And I need your reason. I hope this time I can accept it.” Said Milky.
“Sorry Milky, I forgot.”
“5 times! You gave the same reasons for 5 times already!”
“I have anything else to do though. I’m sorry…I forgot.”
Milky sighed. “Sayaka, listen to me. I do this for you. I do this because I care. But….looks like you never appreciate for what I’ve done for you. I don’t need payback, I just need appreciation.”
“I don’t even want it you know? I told you not to trouble yourself.”
“Why you so mean to me?! I just want to help!”
“I don’t need such a help! Okay? You just waste your time coz it never succeeded!”
RING…RING… Milky’s phone was ringing. She didn’t even continue to have a mouth-fight with me. She picked it up.
After few seconds of talking, she hung up. She stared at me, honestly it melted my heart. She got such a beauty smile and yet those eyes of hers. So pretty… Somehow I felt that I have said something that so harsh to her. I should apologize, I think..
But suddenly Milky turned around and walked out from my room.
“Oi, where are you going?”
“Not your business!” she said and then left.
Oh god I hate myself. I think I did hurt her this time. But it wasn’t even fully my fault though. Milky liked arranging such a wasting meeting. For me and for some random guys. I know that she cared so much, but I wasn’t even interested to have one. We were friends since kids, Milky is cute girl, friendly, everybody likes her, she is quite famous around men. And me, not much talking, I play guitar and sing, sometime hang around but often just stay at home, and I’m not as interesting girl as Milky. Moreover, hmm…. I am a daughter of yakuza. But no worries, I could fight to defend myself. I’m strong girl.
“I want to go on double date with Sayaka!”she said. That was why she kept arranging such a wasting meeting for me and various guys. Yeah, Milky already got boyfriend… I am still happy because our time never decreased even for a second. She still had time to come over, had a chat, play with me, just like an old times.
I sat on my chair again and there was our childhood picture on the table. I kept staring at it, Milky’s smile was really pretty.
“Why you keep wasting your time? If only you know, when you’re around me, that is enough.” I said. You didn’t hear it wrong. Yes you’re right…I fall for Milky.
~At school~
“Hoi, Milky…” I followed her from behind. Milky didn’t even slow down, she kept walking forward. “You hear me right? Why don’t you stop?” I kept following her. Milky didn’t even stop.
“Oi….oi….Milky you mad? You’re mad right?” ignored.
I reached her arms and made her stop. “Why don’t you talk to me?” I said.
No answer…. “Hoi… say something.” I shook her body up. She still didn’t look at me.
Sighed, “…alright, I’m really sorry okay? I will do everything so that you will forgive me.”
“Really?” suddenly she turned around and smiled at me. Geh this girl..
“Yes. I promise.”
“Okay then… tomorrow get prepared for another meeting arranged by me, okay?” she winked at me. Arrghhh…. I guess I need to give up. I can’t if Milky got mad at me.
“Alright… as you wish…” waving white flag.
And then she was fine and we back to as we were before.
“Itadakimaaaaa~su…” Milky and I were having our lunch at my house. She said she liked having one at my house as it was delicious. I didn’t mind though, I’m happy she came over. After some minutes, my father appeared from nowhere. He just sat there and looked at us both.
“How are you, Miyuki?” he asked.
“Ah! Papa! I’m fine thank you!” since we were that close, Milky even called my father as papa.
“You always look cheerful. Glad to see it.” Milky just smiled. “Anyway, I really thank you for everything. You always take care of my daughter these times.”
“Ah, don’t mention it! I really didn’t do many things.”
“Since her mother died, Sayaka was lonely kid, always stay in her room, but when you’re around, she changes. I’m so grateful. Somehow, I fail to be such a good father for her.”
“Dad, don’t say that!” I said.
“Papa, you’re always being the best for Sayaka. Right?” I nodded.
My father just laughed. “Well, I have to go. By the way, Sayaka you must be careful. I think there are some people who dislike me right now. I’m just afraid that they will hurt you… Should I set bodyguards to guard you everyday?”
“No! I can take care of myself. I am quite fast at running though.”
“That’s my kid! But you still have to be careful.”
“No worries, dad.” And my father quickly walked away.
“Sayaka, isn’t that dangerous?”
“That is not. You know I can take care of myself. Don’t worry…” Milky then smiled and continued her meal.
I was lying down on my bed, waiting for Milky who went to bathroom for awhile.
Something was vibrating next to me. It was Milky’s phone. For some seconds, it continued vibrating. Kinda annoyed and curious, I took it and saw what it was actually.
It was an email coming from her boyfriend. Many unreads email came. I wonder what inside was. After arguing with myself, I decided to read the email.
I can’t wait anymore. Let’s do it, Miyuki!All emails written the same. What was it actually? What that bastard want to do with Milky? I really felt curious and started to think something bad would happen to her.
RING…RING… yabaii the phone was ringing. And it was from her boyfriend. What the fuck this bastard wants from Milky? Should I pick the call? No, I shouldn’t. But…I really want know everything! I couldn’t let anyone hurt Milky.
*doors opened*
“M-Milky?!”
“Ah, is that a phone call?” Milky quickly grabbed it. “Hello? Hiro what’s wrong? Hm? Email? I haven’t received any. Un… Just resend it, I will wait…okay, bye..” she hung up. Did they talk about that mail?
“Is that your boyfriend?” Milky nodded.
“He said he sent me message though.” She said as she scrolled her phone. “But…couldn’t find it…hmm…”
Well, on the right time I deleted all the messages.
Again, that bastard called her. After having short talk, they hung up. Milky stood up and got ready to leave.
“Where are you going?” I approached her.
“Hiro wants to talk to me. I have to meet him…” when she was about to open the door, I stopped her.
“Don’t go.” I said. Milky turned around, she tilted her head. “…don’t go, Milky.”
“Eh? Why? Why can’t I meet my boyfriend?”
“He’s no more than a bastard.”
“What? How dare you say that to him?”
“Because… he’s a bastard. Please Milky don’t go, okay? Just stay here with me.”
“Sayaka, I don’t understand… Tell me what happened?”
“I just….just don’t like him at first. That’s all.”
“Why do you suddenly come up with this conversation? Ah, I know. Don’t tell me you like Hiro too? I know he’s famous, many girls come after him…I just can’t believe I heard this from you.”
“Hah? Don’t conclude everything as you like! I didn’t even say that I like him!”
“You do! That’s why you always skip the meeting that I arranged! Ah, I get it now, Sayaka. I just can’t believe it.”
“Milky come on!” I held her arm. She just swung away my hand.
“I hate you…” after saying that, Milky disappeared.
“JUST DO WHAT YOU WANT MILKY, I DON’T CARE ANYMORE!!!” I shouted behind the door and I was sure she heard it. I sat on my bed and started to think.
“Just do as you pleased Milky. I don’t even bother to care anymore. Just…do what you like.”
I felt uneasy. I didn’t even want to care about her, but inside me couldn’t stop to tell me to follow her. What if something bad would happen to her? Those emails haunted me. What should I do? If I come for her, she would hate me more. They were couples right? If that is what her boyfriend wants and Milky accepts, so what is the problem? I felt so stupid, I felt like an idiot interfere between them… But… what can I do? I felt really jealous these times. I know Milky didn’t ever miss any second with me, but still when she left for that bastards, I felt hurt and lonely. If I tell her the truth, I might ruin our friendship. Moreover about what just happened, I didn’t know what to do. But…these times Milky was fine, right? I guess, I shouldn’t follow her. She would be okay. I felt really hurt, because this was the first time Milky said she hates me when we have quarrel. This is the end of me.
At a building which was located near the town, a couple just walked into it, the building which had a sign “Hotel” on it. They both got into a room no. 145. In some minutes, both of them were having such a light conversation, until the man started groping the girl’s body. For many times the girl showed unpleased action, but the man kept doing it and made the girl uncomfortable.
“Hi-Hiro… don’t.” said her.
“We are dating right? We have to do it…” he kissed the girl’s neck. She pushed her boyfriend. “Milky, you want it too don’t you?” Hiro kept moving forward and attack Milky.
“Yadaa!! Don’t touch me!” Milky pushed her boyfriend harder until he fell.
“You!!” Hiro stood up and locked both Milky’s hands as he already on top of Milky. “…you idiot girl. Don’t you understand when you are asked to go to hotel, it means we are going to do it.” He said smirking.
“But…but you said you felt sick…” said Milky clueless. Her tears started falling…
“Oh my… why are you crying?” he wiped Milky’s tears. “…but you look pretty when you cry…” again he smirked. He started attacking Milky and she couldn’t do anything except shouting at him to stop.
“YOU BASTARD!!!” finally after deciding what to do, I got to follow Milky. The scene I saw now really made me angry. How dare a bastard like him touching my precious girl. I can’t forgive him! I kept punching and kicking that bastard. I threw everything on the table at him and he really was defenseless.
“Stop Sayaka!!” Milky hugged me from behind and it made me stop. She sobbed behind my back. I turned around and there I saw Milky looked so messy. She looked terrible. It hurt me so much. I gave a hug and she hugged me so tight. I felt her body was trembling.
After that, I took her to my house. I offered her to sleep over and she agreed.
“Here… drink it.” I gave her a cup of tea, just to make her calm down a bit. She still looked shock. Milky didn’t touch the cup, she just looked down. “…oi Milky?”
“Sayaka, I’m really sorry…” she said. “…I doubted you. I said something harsh to you and you still come after me, save my life. I feel…I feel really bad. I don’t deserve your kindness.”
“Don’t say that Milky…” I hugged her, patted her head. “… I know you were just mad when you said you hate me and I understand.”
“Un..” she nodded on my shoulder.
“Don’t worry. From now, I will be the one who protect you from bad guys. As long as you can trust me…”
“I trust you, Sayaka…” I smiled and disengaged the hug.
“Now drink your tea…” she nodded and drank the tea immediately.
“Milky you want a cake?” I came back after clearing her tea up from kitchen, and I bought a plate of cake for her. I saw Milky lied down on my bed. I guess she already felt asleep. I put the cake on the table, I approached her. I sat beside her sleeping body and stared at her. She so kyuuuun while sleeping. At first I doubted, finally I extended my hand and stroked her hair. I touched her cheeks, eyes, and her lips... Of course I did it slowly so that she won’t wake up. Something inside me like pushing me, keep pushing me until I managed to kiss her on lips. When I realized, our faces were so close and I pulled myself immediately. Safe I didn’t wake her up. I walked away and I couldn’t believe for what I’ve just done.
“Unexpectedly, her lips is really soft…” I said and blushed at the same time. In the other hand, right after kissing Milky, she opened her eyes. She actually didn’t sleep at all.

“Sayaka, have you finished?”
“Not ye~t..” I replied. Milky was waiting outside my room.
“What took you so long?” Milky lost her patience and decided to come in. There she got me fixing my hair.
“So-sorry, Milky. I didn’t have any idea how to dress up and I’ve got to fix my hair right?” I said. Milky didn’t response. I turned to look at her and I got her standing there, staring at me without blinking. “Aaa…I know I failed. I shouldn’t try to dress up like cute girl. It’s not me at all…” I looked down. Milky might disappoint at me. I dressed like cute girl, with mini skirt and colorful shirt with brown boots. I always see Milky dress up like that and she looked really cute.
“Sayaka you’re so cute!!” Milky hugged me.
“Eh?”
“You do look great. Oh, you’re so pretty! I’m sure he will like it.”
“Will he? Well… glad to hear it.” I laughed. Then after Milky tell me where I have to meet him, she told me to leave now as it’s almost late.
I’m waiting at café and I’m alone. He hasn’t come I think. I took out my small mirror from my bag, I looked at it. I felt uncomfortable with this outfits. It’s not me. But… for Milky’s sake, I have to do it. I promised her never make her disappointed again. I will do everything just to make her smile.
“Sayaka?” someone approached me and stood next to me. I nodded. “Hi, I’m Tohma. Nice to meet you…” I smiled and he sat in front of me. Well, he’s not bad, I mean quite cool for guy. This is really Milky’s type I guess.
After having some chit chat, Tohma took me around. We visited many places and we spent some hours together. We didn’t realize it’s already dark and Tohma accompanied me home.
“That was great, I hope we could hang around again later.” He said. I just nodded. “See you later, Sayaka…” I was surprised as Tohma just landed quick peck on my cheek. Then he walked away. What?
“Ah, Milky you’re still here?” I walked into my room and put my bag on the table.
“I’m waiting for you.” She smiled. Was it me or she looked a bit….different? I mean her smile was different.
“You don’t need to. We can meet tomorrow at high school. Want me to take you home?”
“Anyway, how was everything with Tohma? Isn’t he kind? Cool guy right?”
“Yea everything was great. Tohma is kind guy, I think he’s not a jerk.”
“Do….you like him?”
“Hah? Why so sudden?” I chuckled.
“I am just wondering… Hehe… well then, I heard enough from you! I’m leaving now. See you tomorrow Sayaka…” Milky gave her last smile and then started walking away. Seriously, something was wrong with her, but I don’t know what it was.
It has been more than a week that Milky seemed like avoiding me. Well, she did talk to me but not that much. She came over my place, but she was much quieter than ever. I don’t know what happened, when I asked she would say she is okay, nothing to worry. Then what should I do? I don’t know if it’s because of me? What have I done again this time?
Today as well, I hung around with Tohma. I’ve never been this close to a guy before, he was the first. He didn’t annoy me, he was kind, care, and really understood girl. I felt comfortable when talked to him.
*door open*
“Oh hi, Milky…”
“Where are you going?” Milky asked when she saw me with complete outfits.
“Going out with Tohma…”
“Again?”
“Yep…”
“Oh, you like him now, right?”
“Haha… no I don’t. We’re still friends.”
“Don’t tell me a lie. You always go out with him, almost everyday.” I heard Milky’s voice got higher. I looked at her.
“What’s wrong, Milky? You mad? What have I done this time now?”
“Oh, no I’m not mad at you who always ignore her friend and make her boyfriend as priority.”
“You are exactly talking about me. What do you want me to do this time?”
“Eh? I’m not talking about you. Who said so?”
“Nevermind.” I grabbed my bag and started leaving her.
I just don’t understand what happened to Milky? She’s really weird. Didn’t she arrange it for me? But why it seems that she is mad at me because I recently go out with Tohma? I got headache, I really don’t understand…

“Tohma, sorry to keep you waiting!” he just gave me a plain smile. He stood up from the chair and threw the roses he brought for me right at me. “…hey!” I shouted at him.
“I should just know it you’re really bad girl.”
“What? What did I do?”
“Are you satisfied having fun with me? When you know that I’m serious with you?”
“I don’t understand.”
“Stop fooling around! You’re best friend just texted me that YOUR BOYFRIEND has changed the meeting place. I think she mistook my number as your other boyfriends.”
“Who texted you? Milky?”
“I’m really disappointed.” Tohma then left.
Kkkhh!!! Why did you do this to me?!

“Milky!” I opened the door so hard. Milky was reading manga and I surprised her. “What did you say to Tohma?”
“What?”
“You know that I don’t have boyfriend right? Why you texted him like that?” she didn’t say anything.
I sighed, “I really don’t know what to do to make you happy anymore. You made me meeting Tohma and you ruined it all. Tohma now hates me is that what you want? He embarrassed me in front of many people, is that what you want? Are you happy, Milky?”
“Sayaka…”
“Get out…” I cut her sentence, I’m really in rage now. “…Milky get out. I don’t want to see your face…anymore.” She then walked away and ukh I heard her sobbing. Why is she the one who cries? Does it mean it’s my fault again? Why everything is my fault? Why nobody understands me? I’m just confused don’t know what to do. Until now I still love Milky. My feeling doesn’t even decrease, I just want her to be happy but I don’t know how. I followed what she told me, but she did this to me. Then can somebody tell me what should I do?
“I don’t want to see your face anymore.” The sentence got replied in my head. Oh god, I just said something cruel to her. I’m sorry, I was in rage. Now I wanted to talk to Milky. I got up from bed and it’s still early in the morning. I took my phone, dialing Milky’s number and I wanted to apologize. But…I couldn’t reach her. The phone was off. Oh she must be really sad and turned her phone off. Bless me.
Right after that, I received message from unknown number.

If you want your Milky safeWhat the fuck I got in the morning? Drrtt….drttt….another message came. It was a photo of Milky. She looked terrible with some bruises on her face. How dare they land a hand on Milky! I cant forgive them!! Without thinking, I took my baseball bat and get ready to safe Milky.
“Sayaka where are you going?” My father appeared at somewhere but I just ignored him.
I wasn’t frightened. I didn’t mind if I should die here because I was outnumbered. As long as I could save Milky and kick some fucking ass off who dare to touch her, I didn’t mind I die after that. As long as I can kill those bastards, I didn’t mind.
“She won’t come!!” Milky shouted at a guy in front of her.
“Of course she will come. You’re best friends right?” then he slapped Milky. “You and her embarrassed me at the hotel. How can I forgive you two! Especially her!” he slapped Milky again.
“You’re wasting your time! She wont come!” Milky shouted again. “We are not friends again! I hurt her yesterday…so….so you’re wasting your time!”
“Shut up!!” another slap. “…if she doesn’t come, then I should just kill you right? Then she would regret everything and suffering from it.”
“DON’T TOUCH MILKY!” I come from the door. Staring sharply at the bastard who touched my precious Milky back at hotel. I will kill him this time for sure!
“See who is coming…” Hiro looked excited. “So….they were defeated by a girl like you.”
“Your guards are nothing compared to me. I know I should just kill you at that time. And now I’m sure I will send you to hell. No one can stop me.”
“Idiot! Why you come!! Sayaka you’re an idiot!!” Milky was shouting at me.
“If falling in love with you is an idiot thing, I don’t mind to be called one.”
Milky just cried over there hearing my confession. Well, it’s really uncool to confess in a such situation, but….what else I can do?
“Wohooo…love story? This is interesting. Save your story later!” Hiro ran toward me and I ran toward him. I was so easy to avoid his fists and I did attack him with my baseball bat. He fell down. This was my chances to attack him and I didn’t miss it. I kept attacking him with my bat unstoppable. I heard he said stop and ask for mercy, but who cares? He touched Milky this bad and I couldn’t forgive him.
“Sayaka please stop I don’t want you to be a killer! Just stop, please!!” I ignored Milky. I was in rage and all I want is to kill this bastard.
“Sayaka, I love you too!!” when I heard that sentence, somehow my hands stopped moving. My body was frozen, I felt a bit of my body was trembling. Is that true?
Milky hugged me from back. She hugged me so tight…
“Please don’t dirt your hands for a jerk like him.” She cried. I turned back and I hugged her.
“Just what that bastard did to you? He hurt you this much, I can’t forgive him.”
“I’m fine, Sayaka. And I’m sorry….”
“Don’t apologize…”
“Sayaka!!” I heard my father’s voice from outside. He arrived with many people with big body. “I’m worried about you since you left so early in the morning. I asked my man to follow you. Are you two okay?” we both disengaged the hug.
“I’m okay, but this jerk hurt Milky this bad.” I said as I kicked Hiro who fell unconscious on the floor.
“Let me handle this. Sayaka, take Milky home. She needs to be cured.”
“Alright…” then I helped Milky to walk and we headed to my house.
~~In my room~~
I took my medical box and started curing her. She injured so bad.
“Slowly, Sayaka!” she said when I cleaned the dirt on her face.
“So-sorry…” but then we ended up staring at each other eyes. I extended my hand, rubbed her cheeks, touched every part of her face.
“I don’t know how I can continue my life without you…” I said.
Milky just smiled. She gave me a kiss on lips out of sudden and of course I was surprised.
“A revenge. You did kiss me when I slept.”
“What? Did I wake you up?”I blushed when I remembered the time when the first time I kissed her.
“No… I didn’t sleep at all. I just close my eyes, that’s it.”
“Omg… What a shame~~” I covered my face with both of my hands.
“I think from that time I realized my feeling for you. You’re always there whenever I need you. I know I’m selfish.”
“You’re not…” I put both my hands on her shoulders. “….as long as you’re happy, I am happy. I think you understand now why I always skip the meeting right? I’ve fallen for you and arranging such a meeting is like wasting time and energy.”
“Sorry Sayaka… I also ruined your relationship with Tohma. That was the first time when I was afraid to lose you. I felt so lonely, I know I was the one who arranged everything, but it was before when I realized my feeling for you. Why everything seems so complicated.”
“It doesn’t matter anymore. The most important is….you’re with me now, right?”
“Yes… I still don’t get it why you can fall for a girl like me.”
“Yeah me too… You’re not even interesting, careless, so easy to get upset, hmm what else?”
“Oh, you mentioned it all. Thank you…”
“Hehehe I’m kidding.” I attached my forehead on hers. “….I really love you. I don’t want to lose you…” then I captured her soft lips for few seconds. Feel so doki-doki at first since it was my first. I broke the kiss and so happy when I opened my eyes, I saw Milky in front of me. When she opened her eyes, I lost my words, I became shy, and blushed. Unexpectedly, Milky pulled me for another kisses. We held each other hands as we enjoyed the kiss which we shared together for the first time.
