That's really impressive and I believe a lot has to do with her vocal prowess and the wonderful selection of songs (and her popularity, of course). Perhaps her lack of reaction, i.e. innocence, towards the Shukan Bunshun non-story "scandal" also led to fans buying more copies to show their support for Yukirin.

Similar to Mayuyu, it seems like Yukirin enjoys more support as a soloist than a member of a sub-unit. It's been a long time coming for her since she is one of the AKB48 members who fans really wanted to debut as a soloist. Takamina and Masuda Yuka (graduated) being the others.
Rather than comparing it to the other soloist's debuts I prefer to compare it to their latest releases.
Both methods have their value, but in terms of sale predictions I feel the latter is more valid.
I still prefer to compare with the other soloists' debuts because we've seen how the solo debuts are always the ones which boast the highest sales as they have the most hype. But of course, it's always good to compare with other latest releases to track the recent sales trend.
