TAKE PART IN THE HELLO! PROJECT 50 POST CHALLENGE
IN THIS THREAD!
How to post: answer to each 'challenge' question on the list. Either do one at a time or post several answers in one reply.
Wanted to do all 50 at once, but geez that's tough, especially since, for some of the more specific questions, depending on how "strong" your fanboy/fangirl-ness is for a particular H!P member/group, it's hard to come up with more than a sentence or two to say. Also, when you try to do a big endeavor like this, it's hard than it looks to go and do the whole mass at once.
So yeah, managed to get the first half done. Hopefully will get to the second half sometime within the next few days.
C1. Favourite current H!P group and why.
Morning Musume. I've said before that I believe in the concept of "leave the dance with the same person you came with". MM was what drew me into the world of JPop/JEnt and consequently, what lead me to joining JPH!P. Despite what some people may think, it's not some warped sense of "loyalty" or "stubborness" for me. My time here has exposed us all to a wide range of musical acts and what not, some of which have caused some members to "shift" their interests more to someone/something else than what they originally were interested in when they first joined. For me though, even with all I've seen/been exposed to and with all the new interests I have gained here, I still consider myself a Morning Musume fanboy first and foremost.
C2. Favourite current H!P member and why.
Probably Sayashi Riho (girl's got the on-stage confidence/presence needed to be an idol, add the numerous "little things" she does/has (like her love for cider [SHUWASHUWA PON!], her photobombing, the cute way she giggles at herself, etc) and random shit from her like
THIS, and...well...yeah...

C3. Favourite graduated H!P member and why.
MIKI-SAMA! MIKI-SAMA! OSHIOKKI KIBONNU!!!

Seriously, was there ever any doubt what I'd say to this?

C4. You may take 3 current H!P members to Tokyo Disneyland to frolic around. Whom do you take and why?
Yajima Maimi - cute/hot girl glomping me during some of the rides/scary attractions, duh

Sato Masaki - need an "imoto" character in the group

Okai Chisato - need someone to help drag Maimi into the rides/scary attractions

C5. The best H!P song for karaoke.
Probably Love Machine. Well-known by many, and vocally, easy enough that most people would be able to sing it.
C6. A Morning Musume album song that you really like.
We're talking an original MM song that was on an album, but not on a single, right? If that's the case, then for me it'd probably be INDIGO BLUE LOVE. Probably meant to be sultry/sexy in tone, but for me I found it more "soothing" than anything else.
There's also Aibon's version of
Da Di Du De Do Da Di! from the BEST SHOT Vol.2 DVD. Yes, technically this wasn't released on an album, and YES, it was first done by the entire group on the Second Morning album. Still...I like Aibon's version better. It really suited/worked well with her voice and vocal range. Very easy, relaxing song to listen to.
C7. A member who left before she really got to shine and whose departure made you sad.
Most, if not all departures/graduations from the group make one sad to a certain extent. Than being said, in terms of someone leaving "before she really go to shine", I'd have to pick
Murakami Megumi. She was, IMO, definitely poised and was being set up to be one of the front girls for C-ute. Unfortunately getting FRIDAY'd put a stop to that.

C8. A C-ute song that makes you want to dance.
I don't dance well, but for sure Tokaikko Junjou gets me bobbing my head up and down to the rhythm of the beat.

C9. A group picture (with any members, any era) that makes you smile.
Anything GAM.

Ok, ok, if I must. GIFs count as pictures, right? If so, then
this.

C10. Your favourite Berryz Kobo music video.
I have no idea why this was what I immediately/first thought of this PV after seeing the question:
C11. A hot picture of a hot H!P member (any era).
I had to stop using this as my WP after a few months because I was ending up just sitting back and staring at it for minutes at a time.

C12. Your favourite shuffle group song.
Akai Nikkichou
C13. Your all-time favourite H!P Egg/Trainee. (Note: graduates count! eg. Yui Okada, Mizuki Fukumura, Erina Mano, Kanon Fukuda...)
Probably Yuukarin (aka. Maeda Yuuka). I've never really paid attention to the trainees as much as I probably should have. Sure when one of them would get promoted or something like that, it would lead me to recognize them more, but Yuukarin was really the first that got me going "Who's that?"

C14. A cute blog picture of a H!P member, past or present.

C15. A horrible H!P concert outfit.
Too many to choose from.

C16. An awesome H!P concert outfit.
Military hotpants, fuck yeah.
C17. Your favourite H!P soloist, past or present.
Matsuura Aya. Unlike many wota who wanted her to keep her bubblegum idol image/sound forever, I actually prefer a lot of her later songs that she released when/as she tried to grow and mature as a singer. Don't get me wrong, her earlier stuff is still often fun to listen to, but when it comes to just showing off her actual singing ability, the later stuff blows the earlier stuff out of the water.
C18. Your favourite S/mileage song.
I've always liked the rock-ish vibe of this:
C19. A favourite H!P choreography.
Can't think of a better way to describe it, other than it's the "running man" like part of
Koko ni Iiruze!. Whenever they do the song in concert (especially if it's part of a big multi-group part of an H!P concert tour), this is what I look for.

C20. A H!P member (past or present) whose personal style you like.
Nacchi. From the few times that we've seen her on TV in her own "private" outfits, she can blend cute, elegant, pretty, and sexy together easily.
C21. Your favourite Melon Kinenbi song.
ROCK ON, MELON KINENBI!!
C22. A memorable live performance and why.
Remember when I said I preferred Aya's later "more mature singer" stuff to her earlier "bubblegum idol" stuff? Case in point. I know there are a lot of people who would find this type of performance to be "dull" and/or "boring", but there's something to be said about how she does this here, with nothing but the guitarist and tamborine to accompany her. If you want to hear Aya sing, THIS is Aya singing...pure, and unadulterated.
C23. Your favourite Berryz Kobo member and why.
Probably Captain. She's never really gotten the same "glory" as Socko, Miyabi, and recently Yurina have gotten, but despite that she's
C24. The best Buono! song.
No doubt there'd be debate/disagreements about what makes something the "best" song in an artist/group's repetoire, but for me personally, Renai Hunter is probably one of the few songs (not just for Buono!, but in H!P in general) that I would have a hard time getting sick of hearing.
C25. Your favourite C-ute member and why.
Can't really decide on this one. Chisa (Okai Chisato) is probably the one I watch for the most. Even though Maimi and Airi are the 2 main "front girls" of the group, Chisa's dancing skills (as noted by those "self-shot" videos of herself dancing that she put up on YouTube would show) as well as her strong, bold approach to her singing give her a "WTF TSUNKU! MAKE CHISA A FRONT GIRL ALREADY!" vibe.
