Hmmm...not sure if want...

Sounds decent so far, but I think I'd like it a lot more at a slower tempo. Maybe it'll grow on me eventually...

After hearing the whole entire song in high quality my stance has been upgraded to "Do want!"

I still think it would sound better as a mid-tempo song, but overall everything still works. The video has a very "k-pop" vibe to it, and seems to show the group in a state of transition between a more mature group and the same Berryz we've known for the past few years.

Risako really stands out with the high ponytail and red dye job! But damn, Momo looks horrible with whatever her hair's supposed to be.

This. I always associate these type of 'goth' outfits with rock music (and related genres), but definitely not K-pop. That's what creates a miss match in my brain, so I'm unable to process it and listen to the song objectively anymore

The song to me isn't that great - the STYLE is cool, but I can't really recall any of the melody anymore...
Plus, what I can understand from the lyrics is all generic as hell... "THERE'S SO MUCH STUFF I WANT TO EAT~" "NEVER FELT THIS WAY BEFORE~"
Well I've heard all of this before

....But I like the video and the girls all look great :3

So this video has converted my roommate and my roommate's friend (who is a big AKB fan) into huge Berryz fans. I count that as a win! lol

Seriously though I was just watching it one day and my roommate was in the room with me watching it but she didn't really say much. Then the next day she was like "so I showed my friend the Want! video and she loves it too. We watched it like a million times yesterday." Both of them are in love with Risako and Miya though my roommate likes a lot of the other girls as well since she always sees me watching a ton of H!P videos.

In my opinion the "XYZ -> kawaii" and "XYZ -> ippai" lines are catchy as hell, with the following "ah~ ..." and that melody at this part (and dance move in the pv/perf).
The rest in between isn't that great for me as well, but okay.

Don't know about the PV in general but there are three things to mention.
- momochi hairdo change for once is nice, I prefer it this way but twin tail is also fine
- risako always has this kinda >:| face, don't really like it that much
- captain dance move at this one "ah~" part is fantastic and shows off her dance aura quite well in my opinion

I'm getting the singles but also thinking about getting the single-v. Already liked the making snippet from girls news #10 hello pro edition

Already that falls just short of the first week sales of "Be Genki", and it looks like this single could be on pace to do just as well as "Cha Cha Sing"!

I'm finding myself liking this song more each time I hear it, from the [noembed][/noembed]-like intro riff, to the funky rhythms of the verse sections and the high energy instrumental after the second chorus...this is definitely one of my favorite overall Berryz songs now. And the video definitely contributed to my recent increased interest in Risako, who had always been at the bottom of my member rankings for this group.

Any previews of the b-side yet? I read elsewhere that it sounds a lot like their early work.

I just listened to the b side on iTunes - it does sound like one of their older, happy-go-lucky songs

Somewhat disappointing considering the strong start, but it also didn't seem like the song got promoted much--certainly a lot less promotion than the previous single. I would've expected a bigger push from management since one would think single #30 would be a bit of a milestone release, but not too bad numbers for a Berryz song I suppose...it's one of their higher selling singles so far and has already completely outsold most of their recent releases.

Maybe they'll do better with yet another international cover song.

Yeah, #3 is a good rank, but I was mainly referring to sales numbers. This single sold decently but probably could've done better.

At the very least, the promotion it did get wasn't non-existent...here they are at Tower Records:
