Went and subbed Undergirls - Bara no Kajitsu. Cos I friggin love it.

Showing all the new gen girls that'll join the battle soon.
Great dance. Great costumes. One shots of members look really pretty. And the Takarazuka-feel quotes.

I already loved it when they performed it on the streamed Rinji Soukai concert.

The song also reminds me a lot of early Team B stuff. Emotional, some storytelling drawing up a picture, and a little dark.
Course, that doesn't stop Nao from exchanging smiles.

She's like smirking all through it while everyone has their cool face on.

Oh. I caught a dog barking sound in the background at 2:37 (at "story"). Probably an aftereffect from listening to it repeatedly for 15+ hours when subbing. Can anybody else hear it??

So, comparing sales for the last election single and this one:

So Sayonara Crawl is their highest ever selling 1st week single? Looks like the addition of voting tickets in Theatre Eds has marked a clear shift in people buying extra regular eds for votes to people buying extra theatre eds. However, the overall number is not too dissimilar, only a 100k increase, I would have thought more people would have jumped at the chance at the opportunity of a handshake ticket + vote. Maybe just shows the overall fanbase is pretty small compared to the amount of CDs sold.

On June 1st, "Sayonara Crawl" has sold 1.857 million copies and has exceeded the 1.845 million copies sold by SPEED's single 「White Love」 released in 1997.

Popular idol group AKB48's 31st single "Sayonara Crawl" (released on May 22nd) sold 109,000 copies in the second week, and the cumulative sales number for the single reached 1,872,000 copies.

It exceeded the previous best record for a female group's single sales --1,845,000 copies-- which SPEED had kept for over 15 years with "WHITE LOVE" (released in October 1997).

Until now, AKB48's best selling single was their 26th single "Manatsu no Sounds good!" which sold 1,822,000 copies cumulatively, but they were able to exceed it with the latest single in the second week! Moreover, "Sayonara Crawl" is also the best selling single for the first week release, which sold 1,763,000 copies. It's also the record holder for both male and female artists.

AKB48 had swept 6 singles categories for a female group, which included "total number of chart topping singles", "the number of consecutive chart topping singles", "total number of million-selling singles", "the number of consecutive million-selling singles", "total sales number for all singles", and "sales number for the first week."

And with their latest single, they added one more notch to their belt, "the cumulative sales for a single" category.
