Vin Scully, the voice of the Dodgers since the franchise won its first World Series title in BROOKLYN (yep, he made the title-clinching play by Pee Wee Reese), signed an extension last week that will keep him in Dodgerland through the 2008 season.
He may be old but he's still better than three-fourths of the broadcasting crap I watch on cable TV. Focused, informed, and engaging, he's an all-time great. I'm glad that the noob ownership in Los Angeles did the right thing.
