Concert just ended. It was amazing! I didn't manage to get a cd or go to the handshake event so I'm super sad about that (not gonna lie I cried a little) but the concert was seriously like the greatest thing ever so the trip was definitely worth it.

fhiwuehiaeua evrttgu´rgu everything about this is so amazing, I wanted to see their introductions especially cuz I knew it'd be super cute and funny and whoa the reaction to Zukki and her reaction to it hahaha

Thanks to everyone for screaming for all the members

But how are there so many videos of the live??? Weren't cameras banned??

How amazing that they did Tiki Bun too, I remember back in Paris Seishun Collection wasn't released yet, and we got the MV instead of a performance of it which disappointed me a little back then.

Btw those who met the girls 'n stuff. I want all the dirty deets. ALL!! I don't get bored reading about the girls' reactions at handshake events etc. so BRING IT

In my honest experience being with them, I think they were genuinely pleased with the people.  We were blessed in having them come here to New York.

As for the videos, they didn't say it upfront it wasn't allowed so many actually did take video.

I would like to say I don't like to "shake and tell" but Zukki and Eripon stood out.  Sakura's English is really good in person too :3

If you could tell by the hints, I got a ticket to do the handshake event but it was rather unorganized at times but can't complain XD

Well from my experience.  Sakura, Duu, Maachan, daiishi, Harunan, I just said arigatou and they said it back to me

Zukki smiled when I said daisiki which actually made my heart flutter a bit.

Riho, Eripon (intimidating aura XD), and Fukuchan I went the same thing but right before Sayu I had it in mind and said  sotsugyo omedetou

That was pretty much the handshakes in general but they smiled so wonderfully for their fans around the world that came to NYC

Now I feel accomplished for doing this... Memories will last forever :3

Full.report when I get home cuz I'm still in vacation mode, but here a quick recap of my handshake experience:

Started off fine with Sakura, gave her an "otsukaresama deshita" and "welcome to New York". Same with Kudo except I threw in "空港で見た" (I saw you at the airport) which she seemed to like. Again same for Maachan, except I called her "Sato-san" which was the first sign of me breaking down. Ayumi and Haruna were a bit of a blur. Got to Zukki, blurted out "ICHIBAN DAISUKI" while trying to compete with her for biggest smile; because of that, I completely forgot what I said to Riho, I almost forgot Eripon's name, and just nervously worked my way through Mizuki and Sayu to finish things off because I was just overwhelmed from seeing everyone in person. :nervous

For me the handshake event was amazing. I think I did pretty well remembering the things I wanted to say to everyone. I told Sakura her singing was awesome, gave Duu (my oshi) some candied pecans, told Ayumin that her dancing was awesome, and told the other members they were generally sugoi. But then I got to Eripon and said "Ganbatte Eripon" instead of "Ganbatte Ikuta" and when she corrected me (and looked almost hurt that I messed up) I was so stunned and embarrassed that I completely forgot what I was going to say to the rest. I had even learned how to say "I'll never forget you" to Sayu but I forgot. How ironic.

Btw, does anyone know who the people doing interviews were? They interviewed my friend and I as we left and I was just wondering if it'll show up on Hello Station or something.

Edit: Looking back on it I feel like I rushed through the handshake event. I was just so nervous. I only said like a few words to each girl. Weirdly enough, I probably spent more time with the girls at the end who I didn't know what to say to. I was pretty much just babbling variations on "anata wa sugoi" though :P Although I did shake Duu's hand again after I gave her the pecans.

It seems they had a video production team from a Fuji TV-affiliated company there shooting a documentary for SKY PerfecTV, a satellite broadcasting station in Japan.

How do I know all this?
Because I got their director's business card.

When did I do that?
It was after they interviewed me this morning.

Why me?
Because I HAD JUST FINISHED INTERVIEWING MORNING MUSUME '14!!!!!

That's right, JPHiP got an in-person interview with all the members!
I asked the translator not to translate their answers, since that would just eat up time that could be better used for more questions!

As a result, it may take a day or two to get the full translation and transcription of the interview out on the jphip.com front page.
In addition, we need to have the photos approved by their management before we publish, but just know THIS IS A THING.

Oh, and I got a personalized signed photo from the group, plus a promotional copy of the new single a week before the release date.
THIS IS WHY I LOVE JPHiP!!
THANKS DAIGONG!!!

Going to fly back home in a few hours, so if you have questions or comments, just tweet @Slackius and I'll try to get back to you when I can.
