Yukirin... can you smile for me ? just me.. just for me. I want to see it. I really want. Even it means it should putting my life in danger.. I’m still want to see !!.. .Yukirin, i don’t ever think that all of this ‘things’ would being so bad to me. I never lossen my hope, I wouldn’t. I thought it was already writened on my destiny. About my life. about my sad life. I’m not being angry in here. I’m not a selfish person that would protested on this bound that sacrified my life. Yukirin, from time to times, i have learned something... I think this ‘thing’ is not a curse from god to me.. I think its just a little gift.. an escalation.. a sign that pretended god himself was cared and loved about me. I’m felt really thankfull with this life of mine.. maybe, for all of this time that I have.. I’m happy.

It such a sadness.
Mayu’s body was lying down on the hard ground of the street. Unconcious. Her simple white dress was doped with the dust from the streets. Merely she looked like an died people now, but still.. there is an light of beauty that we could see radiated from her face. Seems fragiles, but in the same time was stunningly.
In front of the unconcious body. There is another girl. She’s stunned from the scene. She just stood silently still processing the scene that she has seen. Looked doumbfounded while staring at the small girl bodys that lying down on the floor of the street.
“watanabe-san ?..”
Her voice break the silent. She’s wondering ? why this silent.. makes her scared.
“watanabe-san ?..”
She repeat it again. Her voice was shaking.
Firstly, Yuki thought that maybe the small girl just slipped from her walk. But as long as she not awoken from her place.. she’s felt worried. Nothing voice that coming out from the small girl.. nothing a call.. and nothing an scream that come out like when you ordinary slipped from your walk. And it was until.. the tall girl comes into an conclusion…
“watanabe-saan !!?..”
She’s running into the other girl while screaming her name. the terrifying feels was closen up on her face.
“oii… watanabe-san !?!? what’s happened to you !?!?”
Spontaneously Yuki grabbed mayu’s small body and bring it into her embrace. She try to shook mayu’s body like wanted to awake her. But there is nothing respond from mayu’s body. At this minutes, yuki could felt that the times was running slower than ever... she ‘s afraid. One thing struck on yuki’s mind, a stupid girl like mayu was not a typical people who’s smart on lying, moreover to pretending an act like this.. not.. nope. She’s not in the place to play now.
“oii.. !! woke up !! watanabe-san..”, she screamed her names.
Realizing or not.. there is an water that already coming out from Yuki’s teary eyes.
“oii.. please !! what happened to you.. !! mayu.. mayuu !!!”, Yuki’s cried. She hugged mayu’s body tightly. She becomes uncontrolled with her emotion.
“please.. please.. mayu..” she cried in agony. Her hug on the small girls body was tightened.
“Yuki-chan.. what happen !??” the old lady who’s realizing the sudden scene, running into the direction of the two girl..
“obaa-chan.. mayu… mayu…” , yuki didn’t have strongness in her word. She cried hardly that she even hard to speak.
“.. lets bring her back first..” the obaa-chan said.

Night.
Mayu still didn’t show any progress. She was still lying down unconciously. The usually hyper girl has changed into an silent.
“..you stupid girl.. why you yet wake up…”
Beside the unconcious body. The Raven Haired girl was protested in silence. She cant help but just looking at mayu’s unresponded body and doing nothing. Her eyes was swollen. Maybe she had crying for an hour.
Throughout the scene before, yuki was never left from mayu’s side. She’s still holding mayu’s hand. Tightly. Sit beside her, while hoping that the small girl would hurry to woke up and explained all of this mess.
“Please.. please.. at least .. give a respond mayu.”
She began to cried again. its not that yuki agreeing on her side. She didn’t want to cry... But it just cant helped, its just her body was acting on themselves. Deserved their own master, her mind was roughly betrayed yuki and bring her into an crying-sadly again.
Yuki herself didn’t have idea why she become so unemotionaly at this moment. it just weird and rare for her. its just like every moment when it was occurred to mayu’s presence and condition.. she always got a strange feeling in her heart.
“yuki-chan ?”
Suddenly there is a small call from yuki’s back. It was ratherly a light voice. But its enough to recalling yuki and bring her back to reality.
“Yuki-chan are you okay ?”
It was obaa-san who comes to check on mayu’s condition. Seems that yuki was too busy on mayu that she didn’t feel anything when the oba-san entered the room. Unlucky for yuki, she got red-handed still crying on mayu’s side when oba-san entered the room. Yuki then trying to wiped her tears fast, not wanting other people to see her weak side.
“Yuki-chan…” the oba-san mumbled yuki’s name.
In this moment, yuki just could give an weak smile for her.
“umm..” yuki shook her head while still smiling. “… I’m okay..”
Oba-san slowly walked to yuki’s side. The old lady was holding a trays that there was any food wich placed on there. She was coming to check on mayu’s condition. But also not to mention that she was bring some food for yuki who was yet eating any food for a day. Seems that yuki was too busy with paying attention on mayu that she forgot that she need to treat herself first.
Slowly the old lady put the trays beside yuki and sat beside her.
“I bring some food for you..”
“…..”
Looking at yuki who’s still puzzled, the oba-chan decided to make her move.
“what ? you didn’t want to eat ?.. Achaa~ !! yuki-chan !! I was trying so hard to make this dish..”
“no.. nope, its not like that.”
“so, why ?”
“its just.. obaa-san.. I’m sorry !!” yuki suddenly stood up and bowed to the old lady.
It makes the old lady surprised a bit, she stared to yuki’s figure before she give a soft smile to yuki.
“yuki-chan~..”
“I didn’t know how to give an thanks to obaa-san.. you really help us a lot..”
Yuki continuing her words while still bowed to the old lady. And the attitude from yuki somehow makes the oba-san smiled.. she put her hand on yuki’s head and gently stroked yuki’s soft hair.
“stop that yuki-chan~… you doesn’t need to thanks to me.” The obaa-chan said while ordering to yuki to take a sit beside her. “common sit here..”
Yuki lighten up her face and slowly move closer to sat beside oba-chan lady.
“you really worried about her, don’t you ? you want to protect her right ?” the oba-san asked while looking at mayu’s presence.
“……..” , yuki silenced while hearing those question. she suddenly feels heavy inside her heart.
“why ? whats your reason ?” Not give a break to yuki, the old lady have throwed the other question to yuki
“….” Yuki just silenced, she looked away. but her cheeks was blushed a little.
The oba-chan then chuckled a bit. “oh~ look at you, yuki-chan~ ..why suddenly blushing ?”.
“eh ? w-what ? n-no… I’m not blushing”. Yuki try to covering herself and avoided obaa-chan lady.
“See.. that’s your reason, yuki~”, the old lady tapped yuki’s head softly. “Your blushing face was the reason why you need to protect her”.
“…….” Yuki diverted her gaze didn’t understands, she still didn’t get what oba-chan means on her words, “i-I didn’t understands.. why ? My blushing face ?”
The old lady just laughed to see the young girl expression. she didn’t know that yuki-chan was the type who was hard to understands her words. Maybe yuki is a
smart girl, but she think that she was not really that smart in a problem like.. “love”.
“Find your answer..yuki~”.
It was more than enough for yuki.. oba-chan was already give an clue to yuki, and its good enough for her. Now its depend on yuki herself how she find her own answer. Therefore she hoped that yuki could find the best answer for herself. no..not only for herself, but also for… Mayu
“are we need to call a doctor ?” the oba-chan suddenly give an offer to yuki.
It makes yuki panickly refusing the offer. “no..nope.. doesn’t need to call a doctor.. if-…if you call a doctor, its just make us being a burden again to you.. don’t bother about that.. we’re fine now.”
“…..”
Yuki silenced for a while, then she looked at mayu. “she’s just tired.. she need to sleep… so, it doesn’t need to call the doctor”
At least it was the last point that yuki could says. She didn’t want to become a more bother to the obaa-san. The old lady has already give a very much help to yuki. And she didn’t want to burdened her more than this.
The obaa-can sighed. Slowly she stood up and walked to the door.
“oba-chan !?”
The old lady has opened the door when yuki called her.
“you want to protect her, don’t you ?” the oba-chan said and made yuki surprised a bit. “crying would not solving the problem yuki-chan.. you need to be strong if you want to protect someone who you loved.”
“….!!!”
It was like a punch for yuki. hearing those words somehow makes her heart sickened.
Those word from obaa-chan makes a point on yuki’s heart. She blushed hardly in her place. Yuki then throwed her gaze into other things, she avoided from oba-san eyes.
Looking at yuki who was desperately avoiding her eyes, the oba-chan then let out a sigh again.
“at least you need to eat, yuki.. you didn’t eat anything from morning” ,and with those last word, the oba-chan then walked away from the room.
On yuki’s side. She’s felt confussed. Her mind have loosen up…. And after silenced for a while..
“Maybe oba-chan was right.. maybe I’m not strong enough for her” .
While give a last glance to mayu’s sleeping body, yuki then slowly touched the food that oba-chan have given to her… slowly but surely, she eat the food that oba-chan have prepared.

Few hours later.
Yuki entered the room.
Lets just say that after she’s finished her eating, she took her time to take a bath, and after a moment later…
“uwaah~ my body feels so good now.” Yuki said while stretched her arm in the air.
She then sighed a little, “oba-chan was right.. at least I need to take care of my body if I want to be strong...”
Then she looked to a girl beside her, “and protect her..”
It was mayu, and yuki have decided about mayu. Slowly, yuki bring herself to draw more closer to mayu’s body. She’s took mayu’s hand and holding it in her hands.
“mayu…”
“……”
“I promise.. I’ll protect you”.
Yuki staring at mayu’s presences deeply. Its bring an heavy feels to yuki’s heart. But for now, yuki have learned that she need to force herself to become strong for mayu. At least to controling her emotion.
It was a moment later… and suddenly a smile was formed on yuki’s beatiful face.
“Kawaii~…”
Realizing or not, those word was suddenly coming out from yuki’s mouth.
She looked at mayu’s face deeply.
“what a face~.. how can I put myself to be controlled when I saw this super-cute face of you..”
It was like the atsmosphere from yuki suddenly changed drastically when she uttering those words. Seems that nothing in the world could win from mayu’s
cuteness, doesn’t it ?.. even its that yuki.

It was a moment later, and after a few minutes staring at mayu’s face. Yuki finally coming back from her fantasizes.
“…!!!!” she shooked her head. “what are you doing yuki !!?” she shouted to herself.
Lets make it into yuki point of view..Yuki POV“For God sake !! what the hell are you thinking about, Kashiwagi !?!?”
I restrain myself while steped back from her sleeping figure.
“What a bad imagination that I have in here !?”
“Oh ..no !! no !! not looking in those face.. noo !!!”

“oh~… so cute.. mayuyu so cute~..” I felt like melting when I see those face of her.
“wait !!! no.. what I’m doing ?!?!”
“Behaving yourself yuki !! control your imagination !! control your mind !!”
I slapped myself. I try to take a deep breath. Inhale, exhale,inhale,exhale… but suddenly a thing was stroked my brain.
“eh ? mayuyu ? what mayuyu ? w-why I call watanabe-san… mayuyu ?”
I confussed with myself. This is weird. Those scene wich happened before is weird. Really weird.
I’m sure for god. That was the most craziest thing that happened on my life. me ? mayu ? and those imagination ? hahaha.. stupid yuki !!!!
I let out a sigh. “Hhh… maybe I was to stressed.” I try to convinced myself,
I stared at mayu’s figure. A sigh have come out again from me..
“mou~… you’re too cute you know !!”
Slowly but surely I walked into mayu’s side.
“ehm.. you know.. its not that.. you know .. I must protect you.. so..”
I’m feeling like a stupid. Why I’m talking into someone who was still unconcious.
Mayu, its your fault that you have those kind of face. How can someone not being.. arrgh.. like you, if you have those super-cute face on you. Look at yourself !! how could you still alive with those kind of eyes, those kind of cheeks, and those kind of nose.. wich perfectly combined and.. and.. most perfectly was .. was.. those.. ‘Lips’..
Suddenly those crazy imagination was coming again onto me..
“Kiss ?”

I slapped myself again, “just forget it yuki… maybe I just need to sleep to refresh my mind.”
I walked away and prepared myself to sleep. But.. for god sake !! I cannot sleep.
“ehm.. maybe I can sleep if I was in the same futon with mayu.. no ! not ! its not like I take some adventage from her condition.. its just.. I need to sleep, right ?”
Then I walked into mayu’s futon and lying down on her side. Slowly but surely I sneaked into mayu’s futon and try to sleep beside her.
“its so warm.. mayu, you’re so warm~”
No.. its not me.“ehm.. maybe one kiss before sleep ?.. on cheek ?” I smirked a little.
No !! its not myself !!*chu*
Noooooo !!!!! why I cant resist myself !!!! noooo !!“fufu~..” I almost nosebleed now. I kissed mayu !! on the cheek !!.
Nooo !! please, me… stop this.. this is wrong..“emm.. maybe once again ? because before was the left cheeks.. so now in the right cheeks ?”
*chu*
Noooo !! not again !! someone please stop me !!!“emm.. nose ? okay~..”
No !! You’re just an pervert old-man kashiwagi yuki !!!!*chu*
#lets just say that yuki was almost kissed all of mayu’s face, ear, and neck.. except for one place..#“emm.. no.. nope, if I kiss her in there.. I will surely turned into a pervert .. no..”

End of Yuki POVYuki suddenly crawled on top of mayu.. she looked at mayu’s face deeply. Her mind was going out to who-knows-where !? Yuki was going crazy now !! somebody stop her, please !!
“mayu..”
Yuki’s face slowly drawn closer onto mayu.
“mayu..”
Second by seconds.. the time was running slowly than ever.
“mayu..”
It was an inch before their lips connected.. more closer.. more closer.. inch changed into centimeters.. centimeter changed into millimeters.. millimeters changed into mikro millimeters… and !!!
But suddenly..
“u-uh ?”
It was when yuki lips almost landed on mayu’s lips…
“eh ?”
She’s opened her eyes, “u-uhh ? … yu-yuki senpai ?”
“whooooaa !!!” yuki screamed while stepped back from mayu’s body.
Yuki’s almost got a heart attack from the sudden scene. It was really embarassing. she prefer to die at time like this. Getting red-handed when trying to kiss mayu ? there is nothing worse than that..
but lets forget about those story, it’s just a side story.
The truth is.. so complicated
A tears suddenly formed on yuki’s beautiful eyes.
“watanabe-san.. ? You’re awake ?”
“Y-Yuki senpai ?..” mayu’s voice sounded again, her voice was shaking. Ratherly it sounds like raucous and seems so weak. She was trying to get up from the futon while touching her head, maybe she still have an headache in there. But slowly.. while staring at yuki’s shocked expressions, mayu’s make an simple smile yet on her face. It was a simple smile, but yuki found out that it was just like mayu. A simple mayu. So simple that she found it was just beautiful. It just mayu who’s always force herself to pretend like it was ‘nothing to worry about..’
“Yuki-senpai …? What happ— mayu’s word was cutted cause suddenly yuki running into mayu and hugged her.
Yuki need a moment.. she need a little moment.
From their warm hug, It was mayu who could feels that yuki was sobbing in silence..
“Baka ! Baka ! Stupid !!” It was yuki’s first word wich coming out from her own mouth.
Yuki still hugging on mayu. she was crying. Crying on mayu’s shoulder. Crying while embraced her kouhai-body. Realizing or not, yuki becomes so uncontrollable at this moment. Maybe she have too much feeling on her mind at that times wich she couldn’t take it out.
“You stupid .. you make me worried.. you make me really worried !” yuki said again in the midle of their hug.
“Yuki..” Mayu just mumbling her senpai name.
Mayu try to break their hug first. She looking at those crying eyes of yuki. somehow she find out that it was cute. Sure it was cute, Yuki’s crying face was rare to be found by mayu. maybe if she have her camera she would took some photo of yuki right now. But a seconds from that, mayu found out that those reaction from yuki was all her fault. Suddenly her heart shakened. She felt gulity.
“G-gome..” mayu said in a low tone, she tried to wipe yuki’s tears.
“Baka..” yuki said in the midle of her sob. “why you apologize..”
An silence was filled on them until yuki finished her sob..
Yuki blushed in red now, she can believe it that she was crying in front of mayu. it was so embarassing.
“w-what happpened to me, yuki-senpai ?”
Yuki frowned her eyebrows. “…… !?”
Mayu looked at yuki still waiting for answer, “what happened to me before ?”
“what !?!? you didn’t remember anything ?”
“…..” Mayu shooked her head.
It was a really shocking scene. Yuki took a deep breath to calmed herself for a while. and after she feels she have more enough strongness..
“You fainted”. Yuki replied shortly.
“me..fainted ?”
The respond from mayu somehow makes yuki more worried.
“hh.. just forget about that .. I’m really worried you know..what actually happened to you ? what are you doing ? why you suddenly passed out like that ?” Yuki
showering mayu with so much questions. Her hand stroked mayu’s hair, she touched mayu’s face. She was acting like a caring mother who was worried with her child.
“is it because the sushi ?” suddenly yuki remebering the sushi that mayu had eaten before she fainted. Something stroke yuki’s mind. if the true motive was the sushi, why its just mayu who fainted ? why she herself not ? she eat those sushi too, right ?
But what yuki got from those long question was…. nothing. Mayu just laughed bitterly while answering like she was still playing with something.
“emm~ maybe ?.. You know, I never eat rice, so.. maybe my body was not ready and react like rejected the rice~..”
At this time, yuki have an thought that maybe mayu just being joked or something, she didn’t ever know the truth and never being sensitive with mayu’s condition. She just hope that her thought was true, that mayu just passed out because too tired.
“Yuki.. I’m thirsty ?” ,suddenly mayu broke the silenece.
“….” Yuki was still silenced not responding to mayu. she have too much things in her head. She didn’t recognize her surrounding. She just being focused on
mayu’s eyes right now.
“Yuki-senpai ? Yuki !?”
The loud voice from mayu finally bring yuki back to the reality.
“eh ? w-what ? what did you say ?”
“I said ..i’m thirsty.. I want a water” mayu said while glared at yuki’s face. “I know that I’m cute.. but you didn’t have to stared at me so intense like that..senpai~”
Yuki blushed and looked away. she avoided mayu with walked away to take the water.
In other hands, mayu just laughed to see the attitude from her senpai. It was cute to see yuki being shy-shy like that.
“here.. your water” yuki said while offering a glass of water to mayu.
Mayu smiled happily, “thanks.. yukirin~”
It was a moment and yuki just looking at mayu. she still couldn’t believe that this all of things was really happened.
“Aaah~.. I didn’t really know that a glass of water would be so tasty like this.” mayu said while smiled happily after she finished her water. She makes an exagaratted face wich makes yuki found it was cute.
“……”
“emm ? is there something on my face ?” mayu asked when she knew that yuki was still staring at her.
“…..”
“Yukirin ?”
“hhh..” yuki suddenly let ou a sigh. “are you really okay ?” She cant lied to herself. Yuki was still worried about mayu.
Mayu just give a soft smile to yuki. she knew that she didn’t need to utter some word for this matter. A smile was enough.
And for yuki, While looking at those smile of her, it was more than enough to make her understands. “you make me worried you know..” she then looked away avoiding mayu gaze.
In mayu’s side, she was knew what yuki feels now. So, she decided to bring herself more closer to yuki.

“I’m okay now..” mayu said while take yuki’s hand.
The sudden movement from mayu makes yuki blushed.
“..yukirin~ ? why you blushing ?”
“..!! w-what .. I-I’m n-not blushed..”
“you are~..”
“I’m not !!!”
“but you~..”
“I said I’m not !!! stop that mayu !!”
“.. !!!” suddenly mayu silenced.
“w-what ?”, yuki confussed while looked at mayu.
“Yuki-senpai.. I’m not missheard right ?”
“…huh ?” yuki frowned her eybrows more confussed
“you called me… with just ‘mayu’ ?”
“….!?”
“finally you called me with my first name !!” mayu expression changed into the shocked one, “wooohhoo~ !! hoorayy !! finalyy yukirin called me with my first name..”
“w-what ?”, Yuki suddenly laughed for no reason. Looking at mayu being so energic like this bring a warmful feeling onto yuki’s heart, “oii.. stop that you hyper”.
“No.. I’m so happy now, finally yukirin called me with my first name”, mayu smiled happily while still acting like stupid dancing around the room. “Hooray~.. Hooray~.. Yukirin o matsuri~”
“what ? Y-Yukirin ?” yuki suddenly noticed something from mayu’s words. “me ? yukirin ?”
Mayu suddenly stopped and smiled to yuki, “yep~ I made a nickname for you.. and it was.. Yukirin~”
“w-what ? who’s say that I need a nickname ? and whats with that nickname ?”
“nande~.. you didn’t like it ?” mayu pouted cutely to yuki.
“i.. not.. urrgh.. whatever” yuki said while smiled and looked away.
Until that night. Finally yuki could smiled in relieve. She didn’t have idea about this, but when its just looking at mayu who was already awake.. its really calmed her. Mayu and her world, something that slowly changed yuki’s life. Maybe its just a little, but realizing or not... those feeling on yuki’s heart has grow bigger than she expected. Kashiwagi yuki.. recognized or not.. slowly there is warm thing that entering your heart and fill the emptiness in her heart.
“yukirin.. I’m cold.. can you sleep with me ?” Mayu suddenly asked and bring yuki back to reality.
Yuki laughed happily before glaring at mayu for the last time. “huh ? what a spoil child !? just sleep with youself you hyper !?
” then she walked to her own futon and get to sleep.
“mouu~ ..Yukirin !!!”
