Drama.
If one would ask me out of the blue to promote the benefits of being alone, I’ll say, that word.
Drama.
With years of living alone, I never experienced that kind of dramatic things, except when Jurina remembers that she knows me and she has nothing to do in her life, she’ll decide to barge into wherever she feels that I am, and shares some of the dramatic things in her life. But after all this years, I managed to get over her dramatic encounters. So in the end, I’ve never had drama in my life. Remember when I was shot? It was Jurina who cried a lot. She was the one who has this so-called mixed emotions, and you know what I did? I just stared at her, and when I realized that she was being her usual annoying self, I told the security guard to throw her outside the hospital. Of course, Jurina was mad at me, but she being Jurina, she remained in my boring life. She just pouted and demanded a kiss from me, which I have never given, but still, I treated her lunch.
But of course, things are not just the same when you already live with someone else.
***
“You’ve grown up…” she looked at me longingly. As if she knew me for years not just two days ago, then suddenly disappearing, and appearing again.
You know the typical emotion and expression that your relatives have on a reunion? Those relatives that turned out to be your baby-sitter when you poop wherever you want, then suddenly, after long years, they see you, running a freaking huge company.
And if you think that I knew this by experience, you are wrong. I don’t give a crap about my relatives, vice versa. I just knew these craps by being forced to watch those dramatic things on TV with Jurina, who threatened to stay by another day in my house if I disagree with her.
Trust me, this, threatened me more than the criminal who shot me.
Having Jurina in your house means you have to pet her, make sure she doesn’t sleep anywhere, you need to make sure that she doesn’t use the yellow bar soap on a sandwich because she thinks that it’s cheese, you need to make sure that she takes a bath, and most of all you need to make sure that you walk her out at the park every morning so she won’t have her tantrums and bark all night.
These, are learned by experience, by the way.
“I’m sorry for not remembering you.” Yuki stared guiltily at the soup which I prepared for her. I sighed for the nth time of the day since she woke up from her slumber, not remembering me, again.
“It is okay, Yuki.”
She looked hurt for a bit, “I know that I have this weird disorder, that I’ll forget you after a day pass, but that doesn’t mean you won’t call me your mother.”
I sighed again.
Why did I even said that to her?
***
I woke up earlier than normal today. I fixed my appearance for a bit then walked towards the kitchen. Usually I call for delivery in order for my stomach to have something in it, but noticing that Yuki left some ingredients for her ‘Welcome Home’ wish last night, I decided to cook. Another thing about living alone, even when nobody teaches you how to cook, you’ll learn it by yourself, that’s when your instincts take over and your adrenaline realized that it should do something or else you’d die of hunger. Same thing goes for other house chores. In fact, me, who WAS living alone, has cleaner house than Jurina who have five maids with her to clean her house. That’s why Jurina always barges into my house, for she realizes that her junks will bury her alive in there when she did not go out and bother my life, as soon as possible. And she, being my company’s model and one of the board members, I have to accept her. I don’t need to make her feel at home though; she’s good at that already. I was setting the plates when Yuki woke up.
“Ah…who are you?” she asked me.
Diary, I know that she won’t remember anything that happened the days before. But somehow, somewhere, for an unknown reason, there’s a teeny-weeny voice that hopes that when she wakes up, she’ll smile at me, smelling the food that I was cooking, she’ll ask, “What’s for breakfast, Hubby?”
But then she did not. She forgot all of the things that happened that night. It hurt more than I can comfort myself.
“So you don’t remember me, huh?” it came out with more bitterness and coldness than I’ve expected.
“Am I supposed to know you? Who are you to me?” I know that she meant it as a normal question, just like someone would ask when he or she finds out that he or she just woke up on a strange place.
But to be asked by a person, who showed you how special you are the night before, just who the heck you are, hurts big time.
The teeny-weeny voice was hurt enough and decided to use every defense mechanism that she knows. Being cold. Showing that nothing can affect her. No one.
“I’m your daughter. Damn it.”
***
So that’s how it ended up in this way. I didn’t think that she’d believe it though.
Yuki looked hurt and guilty, at that time, I should be happy that I avenged myself.
But, What for? I knew it in the first place that she’ll forget me but I still allowed myself to be carried away. I stood up and walked towards the door that she was sitting near. I took a step away, but then I pivoted, wrapping my arms around her.
“Sorry, Mama-rin…” I whispered. I closed my eyes, then I felt a hand running through my hair.
“Let’s take a bath…”
Then I froze.
Crap.
***
I was almost late for work. Almost.
Because after that world-wrecking bath with the smoking pheromone goddess who is supposed to be my mother, I felt something tingly and hot, so I have to take the shower again, with the maximum coldness it can offer my skin. But it was cut short when Jurina called to inform me about the meeting that we’ll be having later. I tried my best to look serious so Yuki would figure out that she should leave, and she did, but not after some touches here and there. I felt hot again so I had to stay on the showers for a longer time. Damn it.
When my teeth started gritting, I decided to leave before I die from hypothermia. I just took a step outside when I heard Yuki approaching.
“Mayu…do you have any idea where my clothes are?”
I closed my eyes as tightly as possible, “Do you have any clothes on?” I was surprised on how hoarse my voice sounded.
“No.”
With that, my mind started the unwanted flashback of Yuki’s body while she was busy touching mine. Her hands roaming around my body, the way her nakedness hugged me as we stayed under shower, letting the droplets wash away the soap, and the way she looked at me.
I know that she thinks that I’m her daughter and she just wants to make up for remembering me. But her eyes somehow say another thing. It wasn’t make-up at all. Something more like…
Make-out.
“J-Just use..the…ahh…whatever you find out there.” I said as I ran for my dear life.
***
I sat in my swivel chair, with a cold coffee on my hand. A sudden change of taste.
I’ve had enough of hot things…or person.
I was about to take another sip when Jurina barged for the nth time in my life. She was beetroot red and she has a pair of cotton plunged on the openings of her nose.
“Did someone realize that you’re so annoying and finally gave you a kick in the face?” I said with an obvious teasing voice hidden in a poker-face, “And you’re an hour late.”
She gave me an incredulous face as if I have grown another head, “It’s your freaking fault, Watanabe.” She said with a glare that falls somewhere between bothered and teasing.
“What do you mean?”
“This.” She fished for her phone in the female suit that she was wearing and showed it to me.
It was a phone recording entitled, Mayu’s scandal.
“I called you in the morning right?”
I nodded.
She took the phone again and played it.
***
There was the sound of running water coming from a shower.
“Who’s that, Mayu?” It was Yuki’s voice, and from the phone, it was…husky.
“It’s Jurin..ahh..Yuki—ah…not there…”
Crap.
“Hmm…but you seem like earlier…you’re saying my name over and over again…”
“Stop talking Jurina’s listening..ah..do-don’t..aahhh…stop…”
“He~~ Don’t..ahh…Yuki…ahhh…Jurina…I’m coming….”
Then it ended.
***
“Damn you cyborg!! Do you know that I have to take another bath because of this!?” she scolded me, “Why did you not tell me that you already have a girlfriend!?”
“She’s not my girlfriend. It’s a misunderstanding.” I explained. The record was when Jurina called and that was when Yuki was tickling me before she leaves since I was having this ‘serious’ conversation with Jurina. And when I said I’m coming, that means I’m coming to the meeting that she was talking about.
“So who she is, Your FREAKING mother!?” she asked in sarcasm.
Well, Yuki is sort of my mother today.
Anyways, I glared at Jurina, “And who gave you the permission to record, Matsui Jurina?”
She gulped, “Ahmm…ahhh…that was hehehehe….”
And the last thing that can be heard was Jurina shouting as she watched her iPhone falling from the 27th floor of Watanabe Technologies.
***
The meeting includes Haruka-san of the marketing department. That explains everything in the world. I looked at Jurina hiding behind my back. So that’s why she called me for this meeting. Believe it or not, Jurina is the company’s over-all department supervisor. That means all the company’s departments will report on her first before to me. I made that kind of system because I’d rather spent some hours with Jurina than to be stuck with other backstabbing humans in the company. And honestly, Jurina did very well in handling her job. The thing is, there is an exception to her superb ability, and that is the Marketing Department. Not that she can’t handle it, in fact, she was the department head there before I promoted her to be my over-all supervisor; her problem is the new Marketing Department Head, Haruka-san.
I don’t see the reason why though, because in my opinion, Haruka was even more productive than all the Department Head’s combined. I could even fire all the department heads and just have Haruka and Jurina and everything will work out just as fine.
We were on the elevator when I asked her about my concern.
“Look, She’s salty okay?” she stared at me as if it was more of a warning that a question.
I just stared at her.
“That means she’s poker-faced, usually doesn’t care about anyone, I never seen her smile, all I can remember on her face was her everlasting frown and scowl.” She explained.
“And so I am.” I reminded her.
She sighed, “True, but as we know, we all need some salt in our life, but two salts in one life is risky for my kidneys.”
I just shrugged. When we reached the meeting room, with the exception of Jurina and I, Salt Haruka-san was the only one in there.
I took a glace on Jurina and whispered, “As far as I remember, the company’s health insurance includes kidney operations.”
***
“In the survey conducted, the birth rate of the country increased by a significant amount, so it is recommended that the company will further invest to technologies that focuses on age zero to five years of age.” Haruka or Salt explained as the images powerpoint flashed from the projector. I was analyzing the presentation while Jurina was indulging herself with the pamphlet provided by Salt-san. It contained her proposed design and even the proposed budget. Jurina seemed to ignore the other details as she squealed because of the cute designs. I looked at Salt-san again, she can really do jobs of multiple departments.
“The distribution of sales is expected to---“ She was cut when her phone started to ring.
She looked at the phone, then, glared at it. She cancelled the call and went back to the presentation. But then it rang again. She did not even bother to look at the caller as she instantly cancelled the call. But unlike the first call she was a bit uneasy that moment. Jurina and I looked at each other, then I looked at Salt.
“It seems that you have more to present Sal---Haruka-san. So we decided to continue this meeting after lunch. For now the meeting is adjourned.” Jurina gave the most Salty-like expression in her face. I almost laughed because she looked like a woman on labor then suddenly remembered that the day was unlucky, thus tries to stop herself, or better yet, a constipated puppy.
But of course I had to be the cyborg that ruins everything.
“There’s no further meetings, Haruka-san. I reject your proposal.” I said.
She and Jurina looked at me in awe.
“There must be mistake, Mayu-san. Let me fix that.” she pleaded.
“There IS a mistake!?” Jurina said with shock that Salt actually CAN make a mistake.
“Fine. I’ll give another chance until 3 pm, any further than that, you’re rejected okay?”
I stood but before I left, the intercom announced something.
“To Watanabe-sama…you’re mother…is here?” the girl behind the voice was uncertain though. I thought for a while because I am 100 percent sure that Mrs. Watanabe, I refuse to call her mother, is still staying at some five-star hotel from a continent far away from Japan. Then there was a screech.
“I’m Mayu’s mother!!! Damn it. Why won’t you believe me, you old woman!?”
That voice was definitely familiar.
***
Yuki, or Mamarin was almost strangling the poor girl on the reception area in the lobby when we arrived—Jurina and I – Haruka dismissed herself and went somewhere.
I sighed.
“Mamarin.” I called for her attention. She instantly beamed when she saw me.
She looked at the receptionist and scoffed, “I told you so.”
She strode towards me with a confident smile that can par a model’s. Jurina’s jaw drop. I glared at her.
“One more second…that you stare at Yuki...you’re a dead puppy.” I warned her. Of course I did not mean to kill her or something. Maybe I could just hang her from somewhere.
She hugged me tightly, messed my hair and chuckled, “I missed my daughter…hmm…” she smelled me.
“What the heck is happening here?” Jurina reminded me of her annoying existence.
“There was a new candidate for over-all supervisor do you kn—“
“Okay, fine. I’ll shut up.” Jurina pouted, “But I never thought that you’re into roles of MIL—“
“Wanna die!?”
***
Yuki sat in my swivel chair comfortably. She smiled contentedly as she gazed at me.
“How did you know where I was working, Mamarin?”
“I saw your calling card and rode a taxi.” She smiled at me.
“What are you doing here, Mamarin?”
Instead of answering, she raised a box, that almost like…
A BENTO!??!?!?!?!
“M-M-Mamarin…d-did y-you cook t-t-that?” I asked.
Dear Diary,
Yuki managed to bring a deadly weapon into my office!!! I‘m going to die today.
“Yes~~” she said proudly, with hearts on her eyes.
I unwrapped the bento and saw a nuclear bomb. Okay, I was exaggerating but, that was actually better than describing the actual contents of the bento. There was this small bowl with boiling violet liquid with some white things floating on it. There were supposed to be fried fish, but all was left in the box were their remains—the fishbone. The only things I could still recognize were the rice, which was miraculously normal-looking thanks to rice cooker in the house, and the egg which was slightly burned, but somehow looked in a better shape compared to the fishbone. I took a pitying look at the fish. It died without a purpose.
I took the spoon with a trembling hand. I accidentally hit the bowl, and the violet liquid spilled on the cemented floor—burning a hole on it.
Holy Crap. I could see the lower floor and my employees looking curiously at the hole that came from the floor of my office.
Did Yuki just made that!? What if I had eaten it!? I looked at the fishbone and shivered. If I had eaten it, nothing will remain on me, not even my skeletal system!! And that fish would look like one heck of lucky thing to have its remains buried somewhere!!!
Out of nowhere, Jurina’s reminder of the Nuclear Technologies Department came into my mind. I took a glance, and sighed, if Yuki just don’t have her weird disorder, she can help with that department.
Yuki fidgeted and went to the bento, she took it and went to the trashcan.
“Stop.” I ordered her.
She looked at the ground as if it was the most interesting thing on earth. But at least I managed to stop her from disposing the bento. A part of said that I should just let her throw the dangerous thing, but as I saw the band aids on her hand, I decided to kick that part of me and eat the bento.
“That’s my lunch right? Who gave you the right to throw it away?” I asked as I walked towards her, taking the bento from her hands. I went back to my table and took the chopsticks. I finished it in an instant.
She looked at me in awe, “Did you like it?”
The rice lied to me, it wasn’t really normal at all. It was hard and not fully cooked. The egg was literally salty and there were some crispy things that I figured out to be the shells of the egg.
I smiled at Yuki, “Yes, I liked it, Mamarin.”
I didn’t lie to her.
If she asked if it was delicious, I would have said no. But she asked if I liked it, right?
***
Nobody had cooked for me before. Well, there were food cooked by my personal chefs or even those people from restaurants, but of course, that’s their job. When I was studying, my classmates, though all of them are rich as well, always look at me in awe when my butler or personal chef arrives to bring my own food.
They always wondered what food will I eat that day, who cooked it, and from country the ingredients were from. But as they looked at my lunch, I always found myself looking at theirs. I’ve always dreamed of tasting the octopus-shaped things, or even the rabbit shaped apples, or some even swan.
Mr. and Mrs. Watanabe have always thought that it’s just a waste of time for those kinds of things. Food is food. You eat food. That’s it.
So when someone cooks for you, gives their effort because they want to, it gives you a warm feeling. I like that feeling.
That’s why I’ve always liked Yuki’s cooking.
***
Yuki beamed when I told her that I liked her cooking.
“Mayu can I stay here?”
“In my office?”
“No…Yui-chan said that she’ll stay at the canteen.” She said.
I frowned, “Yui? Who’s that?”
“I met her when I was waiting for you in the lobby.” Yuki explained, “Then we became friends.”
I sighed, “Mamarin, you shouldn’t really talk to strangers.”
Fine. I am a bit jealous.
“Well, I don’t think a pregnant woman can hurt me. She’s just waiting for her wife to see her.”
Oh. So Yui is taken. I sighed in relief.
“Fine,” I looked at my watch and realized that I have more minutes before the meeting, “I’ll accompany you there.”
She beamed and embraced me, “Thank you, Mayu.”
***
The walk with Yuki earned me a lot of looks and whispers. Well, I don’t usually walk around with another person except Jurina.
“Yui-chan!!!” Yuki ran towards her friend. I noticed that Yui’s stomach was huge. I figured out that she’s almost on her time for laboring sooner.
When we reached her table, Yuki and I noticed her red eyes.
“Yui-chan, why are you crying?” she asked worriedly, “It’s bad for the baby.”
The pregnant woman smiled sadly, “She doesn’t want the baby…she said that it could die, for all she cares.” She started to sob again.
“Where’s your wife?” I can’t help but to ask. It’s already lunch time so her wife should see her at least right now.
“She said that she had more important things to do.” Yui explained.
“What a b*tch!?” Yuki’s aura turned black. It was freaking scary.
“Please don’t call her like that.” Yui pleaded.
I sighed inwardly. I really don’t understand those martyr wives. I mean, not all people who dies for the sake of others would have a monument or even a temple of their own. And there is a line between stupidity and heroic acts.
“But I don’t understand, she’s your wife right? And that’s your baby.” I asked.
I mean, even if Mr. and Mrs. Watanabe ignored me the moment I was born in the earth, at least they let me live.
She looked up into us, then down again.
“The baby wasn’t even hers or her approval.” She admitted.
“Then whose baby is that?” Yuki was also curious.
“Her brother’s.”
Now, that changed everything.
***
“Her family and mine are close.” Yui started, “We, her, I and her brother, grew up together. And some things got complicated, and her brother got me pregnant. Her family is conservative so they told my parents that her brother will fully take the responsibility for my baby. But at the day of the wedding, he disappeared and for the sake of the family ties, her family pushed her to marry me.”
I stared unbelievingly.
This is it, real-life drama.
Something that I usually avoid until Yuki stayed with me.
Yuki just hugged the crying woman.
“By any means…she should still support you, you’re married after all.”
She just smiled at me. The lunch was almost over so had to leave the both of them alone.
Yuki kissed me at my cheek and I went to my office with a ghost smile.
***
It was 2 pm when Jurina and I went to the meeting room for the presentation with Haruka. She was preparing something, but she looked at bit off, and she didn’t notice Jurina and me.
Her phone rang again and there was a grim expression in her face.
“Don’t you dare and touch her…” there was a threat in her voice that could scare any yankee off their pants.
She glanced at us, so she cancelled the call, “Shall we start?”
Jurina nodded uncertainly. But before we can even start on something Yuki came gushing into the room.
“S-S-She…t-ta-take…Yankee…Yui.” she said some words between her pants. Jurina and I glanced at each other, obviously not understanding what Yuki is saying.
“Yui…” We heard Haruka whisper before she dashed out of the meeting room. And since I am the CG, I need to confirm something.
“Haruka-san, the offer is good until 3 pm only.” I shouted.
She ignored me. She ran away. And never looked back.
***
In my entire life, I’ve chased after someone who doesn’t want to be chased, and end up in a Yakuza warehouse. Yuki suddenly felt like a superwoman and wanted to save Yui and Haruka, we rode in the car and thanked that Haruka used our company vehicle that has GPS on it so we can track it down, and after a few stops and turns, we ended up in our destination, a Yakuza warehouse. It was only then that we realized that we should actually call for the police. But that was too late because for some reason, Yuki magically went to the main entrance of the warehouse and pressed the doorbell.
The three of us, me Yuki and Jurina sneaked inside the said warehouse. Luckily there were no Yakuza people in there or so we thought. Because if that’s the case, the three of us won’t be tied up in a rope in front of Yakuza people watching us with lust-filled eyes. Then, no one will touch Yuki, and I won’t need to draw their attention to me by saying he’s an idiot. Well, I was only teasing one damned Yakuza but all of the six people in there were affected by it. And I won’t be here, inside the dark room, laid on the ground, as good as a kicked cabbage. I chuckled due to the weird analogy but I almost shrieked in pain when I realized that I shouldn’t chuckle because every inch of my body, damned hurts.
“Serves you right.”
My vision started to become blurry. But I can make up a shiny object that the man was carrying. A knife, a freaking sharp knife, and as weird as it may sound, the fishbone entered my mind. People say that if you’re on the edge of dying, your life comes in a quick flashback. But here I am, thinking about a fishbone.
I was reminiscing about the fishbone when I heard a loud thud. The man who was carrying the knife, now lays beside me, unconscious. I took a look on the person who did that, and I saw a…zombie?
It took me few more seconds to realize that she was Haruka-san. Her appearance changed drastically since the last time I saw her from the office. She was worse than me, aside her wounded body, she was dragging her left foot as she walked, there was blood flowing from her head and there was a deep cut on her right eyebrow and she can’t open her right eye. She looked as if she just came out from a movie whose genre is gory-action-suspense-thriller-supernatural-zombie-hero. Yuki came running after her. She almost fainted by seeing our states. Luckily, almost, because I’m sure Jurina can’t handle too much casualties.
She carried the both of outside and we met a panicking Jurina.
“She…she…she…” Jurina pointed at Yui whose lower part of her body is bleeding, and aside from that, she looked the same just like the last time I saw her from the office.
Then it hit us.
She’s laboring.
***
The four of us waited outside the deliver room like a normal family. You know, with the anxious parents, and grandparents or whoever was there.
I, as the mother of Haruka since Jurina said we’re both ‘Salty’.
Yuki, as the mother of the laboring girl.
Jurina as the close friend of both of the parties.
And, Haruka as the other mommy of the will be born child.
But of course, we’re not normal, at all.
I looked like a mummy instead of a mommy because of the bandage on my body. Yuki slept like a log since she managed to take a comfy seat; an earthquake can hit Japan again and she won’t wake up. And Haruka looked as if she rose from the dead, pacing outside the room. The doctors and nurses tried their best to bring the said girl to the emergency room for her wounds to be treated, but they just received a death glare or hard F-word in the face. Finally they decided to wait in a distance and wait for Haruka to make use of their service. However the janitors aren’t happy with that, the more Haruka zombie walks, the more blood to spill, the more to clean. The only normal looking on the bunch was Jurina who looked like she was the one on labor and not Yui. If only I’m not wrapped like an Egyptian undead, I’ll be laughing at her. She fainted afterwards, the nurses, all female, assisted her.
We waited for a few more minutes, a cry from a baby can be heard inside.
“Congratulations, she’s a girl.” The doctor said.
“I’m glad…” it was Yui’s voice.
I’ve heard Haruka sigh from relief. She lost consciousness with a smile on her face that if only Jurina could see, she’ll not be so afraid of her anymore.
After all, Salty people only offer that kind of smile to their special someone.
I only smile like that with Yuki.
***
“They’re love story is so cute, right?” Yuki finally woke, well she had to, “I can’t believe that Haruka-san
I nodded at her.
Haruka and Yui-san’s family are really close. The three of them including Haruka’s brother were childhood friends just like Yui-san told us from before. However, the truth is Haruka fell in love with Yui ever since they were kids, but Yui likes her brother. So, Haruka decided to leave the both of them. She became the top of a Yankee school for years. The thing is, being the top has it rules, the girlfriend of the top should defeat the other gang leaders in a death match. When Haruka’s parents asked for her to return, the feelings she still has for Yui just got stronger. She was there for Yui when her jerk of a brother hurts Yui’s feelings. Then one day Yui realized that she is actually in love, they admitted their feelings for each other. However, Haruka was forced to push the other girl away because she knew that the other gangs will hunt her down, since Haruka is the top. Yui was broken hearted, got drunk, the jerk brother got her pregnant, and the rest is history.
“So the reason why Salt is so bad to Yui is because…” Jurina trailed off.
“She knows that the gangs are still watching over them. If she became good to Yui, they’ll challenge her for a fight, Haruka knows that Yui will never win against gang leaders.” Yuki explained to Jurina.
“But how did they know that Haruka still loves Yui?” Jurina asked.
“They saw Haruka’s proposal. The targets are kids after all. That means Haruka is accepting the baby. She wants to make Yui happy.” I answered.
Jurina awed on the corner before her limo picked her up.
***
We were about to go to our car when we heard Haruka’s shriek.
We went to them but Yuki hugged me, I looked at her. She has a finger on her lips.
“Hush.” She whispered.
We took a peak, and saw Haruka and Yui.
Haruka was an a wheelchair, she and I looked like twin mummies. Yui was beside her with a contented smile in her face.
“Why did you pinch me, Yuichi…” Haruka pouted.
Salt pouted.
Unbelievable.
“Mayu…do you know, when I checked on Yui on the warehouse before I went to you, the Yakuza around her were knocked off unconscious?” Yuki whispered with a grin.
I looked at the couple.
“Baka…do you think I don’t know you’re the Top?” she smiled, “I knew that, so I trained hard to become strong. I’ve always admired the way you protect me when we were kids. So for that, I trained secretly. Your brother and I will always fight because I always disappear. At that time I thought that I really idolized you so I just shunned him off. But then, I realized, it was more than that. I love you. I know I might not be as strong as you, but I trained enough to be worthy of you…” She started to cry.
“Yuichi…” she touched Yui’s face.
“…t-that’s why…d-don’t think of doing anything on your own, okay? We’re married now. We’ll face everything together.”
“I was afraid that I’ll lose you…”
“You’ll never lose me. I won’t go. For the sake of all the kidneys in the world.” She smiled teasingly.
Haruka pouted, “Am I that salty?”
“Hm…” Yui made a thinking pose.
“Sorry for being salt—“
Haruka wasn’t able to continue whatever she’s saying as she felt her wife’s lips on hers.
“Nah. You’re sweet as well. But too much sweet is boring. I love it sweet and salty.” She said then pressed her lips to the girl on the wheelchair. It was gentle at first, then turned to hungry one.
“Yui..ah..n-not..there..ahh..” followed by moans and cries of delight.
“Damn…when you’re out of that wheeled thing, I’ll be looking forward to taste more of you.”
And that was cue to leave them.
***
We reached our house by ten o’clock. After a bath and a dinner, I made a phone call to Haruka.
“Haruka-san…about your project…it’s approved.”
“But why?”
“I just rejected it since you’re wavering. You’re happy about your project…but somehow scared. Now, I’m sure that you’re over it. And I’m sure your baby will like her things to be made by mommy Haruka.” I told her.
She said thanks to me and regards to Yuki.
***
Yuki laid at the bed, she looked at me, “How am I as your mom, Mayu?”
“It’s a secret, Mamarin.” I winked.
She pouted then dozed off to sleep.
***
While she was asleep, I leaned closer to her and pressed my lips against her forehead for a long kiss.
“I would like you as my mother, but I’d love it if you’ll be my children’s mother.”
I stood up to go at my room when I heard her whisper.
“Hubby…”
I took a glance at her.
Did she just?
But that’s impossible…
Possible or not,
My watch read,
