Chapter 29“Now for part 2!”
Eri kicked off the blanket and jumped out of bed all of a sudden and raced towards her closet situated at the other side of the room.
“There’s a
part 2?”
Pushing herself up to a sitting position, Sayumi watched with wide eyes at Eri who has started flinging clothes out of her closet in bundles.
“Ermm Eririn, what are you doing?”
“Come sit here and wait a while.”
Eri waved Sayumi over and made her sit inside the rather tiny wardrobe as she continued tossing out shirts, blouses, jackets and shorts onto the increasing pile on her bed.
Now sitting cross-legged on a small mountain of what she assumed was jeans, she had her leg tangled up with a towel, or bathrobe.
“You know this is weird right?”
“It’s really exciting. You’ll see.”
Grinning a really wide smile, Eri flung out more of her clothes onto her bed and onto the dresser chair that stood beside the bed before climbing in next to Sayumi, and squashing her in the process of trying to close the door.
“Aren’t you going to throw these out too?”
Motioning to the pile of clothes in a mess beneath her, Sayumi asked and tried to rescue her leg, which was falling asleep from numbness.
“There has to be some left in here for it to be
fun.”
Eri explained plainly and crawled nearer to Sayumi by feeling in the dark.
“Have you tried doing
it in a dark closet before?”
[Reina’s Room]
The moonlight that shone through the double glass doors of Reina’s balcony fell on the face of the figure lying on her side on the bed. Reina was sitting up as she admired how beautiful and peaceful Ai looked like this. The girl had what looked like a satisfied smile on her face as she slept.
“You’re so beautiful. It’s true.”
Reina leaned down and kissed the tip of Ai’s nose lightly, careful not to wake the tired girl up. Playing with the hair framing Ai’s face, Reina was completely immersed with contentment.
She still couldn’t believe Ai was hers even though you would have to kill her before she would ever admit it to anyone. Her pride would never let her and it had always been her nature to show only her tough side.
“I really love you.”
Lying down now snuggled close to her companion, Reina put an arm around Ai’s waist and proceeded to fall asleep like this. It wasn’t a very comfortable position for her but it didn’t matter. Being close to Ai like this was what did.
[A Week Later]
With only two days left before Asami’s graduation concert, things had gotten depressing at recordings and the atmosphere at the apartment block was just as miserable.
It was probably the time to not do anything stupid but Sayumi didn’t know what she was about to do soon would be the start of a whole chain reaction.
[Sayumi’s Balcony]
It was eleven o’clock at night and Sayumi has been watching her for the past 30 minutes from her balcony. Convinced that it would be fairly safe to approach her at this time of the night, the girl decided to put on a coat and go downstairs.
At the ground floor, Sayumi cautiously tiptoed up to her fellow rokkie who was sitting quietly in the swimming pool.
“Reina.”
Sayumi called out to Reina in a low voice but the reply she got wasn’t the low key one she was hoping for.
“Wha….WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!”
“Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.”
Putting her index finger at her lips, Sayumi urged Reina to keep quiet.
“Keep it down will you, it’s eleven at night!”
“GOD Sayu, you scared the crap out of me! So you know it’s freaking late now too do you. Why the hell are you sneaking around calling my name like that?”
Reina was annoyed, really annoyed with Sayumi for interrupting her little moonlight dip. Her mood was all ruined now.
“I needed help on something.”
“You couldn’t pick a better time could you.”
Reina’s yankee mode was apparent but Sayumi wasn’t the least bit deterred. She was determined to get what she wanted tonight.
“Sorry about it but I needed some er…. lessons on how to….
make Eri happy.”
