I read about this on the mixi blog of a Kanna wota who went to the handshake event in Osaka (where this happened). He was upset that some doinks had caused her to cry, but said it was supposedly because someone had insulted her (nothing about anyone ignoring her at the handshake part). However, other commenters who went to the same event said that nothing like that happened at all, and that Kanna was crying tears of joy because of the fans who cheered her on.

I'll post a comment to him later asking if the rumor from santos about wota ignoring her is true or not (and if it's true, how many ignored her). One commenter named 大☆橋 said that from what he could see there were quite a lot of people cheering and saying "Ganbare!". Though I don't know this for sure, at least until audio from the event comes out.

Edit: I posted my comment and he replied:

Basically he says that from what he could see, as well as from what other people saw, there wasn't anyone ignoring her. However, he says that there are always a few doinks at handshake events who ignore a member, and not only in this case.

Also, the video of her getting ignored that was linked on 2ch is from another handshake event from last year, just so you know.

The rumor seems to have originated from 2ch, and the original 2ch post passed off a video from an early 2007 handshake event as being footage from the current handshake event.

When it comes to 2ch posts it's generally best to not take them all seriously, because many people make up or embellish stories there (though there are true stories as well).

Another thing:

The original 2ch thread written about by santos said that this happened at a handshake event on the 6th, but according to the official H!P page there were no handshake events on the 6th! They were all held on the 4th.

Also, they do not tell us which city's handshake event it was. Real fan reports of idol handshake events usually give the location...

I bet somebody heard that "Kanna cried at a handshake event" and automatically assumed that it was because of something bad that wotas did...so they made up this story...

Even some of the wotas who went to the event had the wrong impression and were worried until they found out that it was nothing bad at all.

Good, cuz yesterday, I went on intlwota.com and read it on a blog. just reading it, I got upset of how she's been treated, and I'm not even a big fan of Kanna. I like her with, all of C-ute, but I don't really pay much attention to her, or C-ute, for that matter, except for Maimi, (who is awesome).
I'm not really interested in C-ute, but they do have some good songs that I listen to occasionally and that they are "c-ute." Overall I like them, but not in the level of MoMusu or Yossy, at least not yet.

Even so, reading that mad me so mad at the wotas that treated her that way. She shouldn't be treated that way. Even though I don't like the idea of them dating so young (or the Johnny's, though I don't think I hate them, probably jealous, maybe...), still I don't think she deserve that kind of treatment. She shouldn't be condemn of something like that, It's not like she did something really bad and inappropiate, like drugs.

The blogs linked by IntlWota also got their information from the 2ch thread.

I'm also glad that the situation was not as bad as it seemed from those blogs/2ch and that there were people cheering for her at the event. I would probably have been moved to tears, too.

There's always going to be doinks out there who claim to be fans, but from my own experiences with Kanna wotas (albeit online, reading their posts on mixi), the majority of them support Kanna even if they didn't like that she broke a rule. And they were just as worried when they heard about her crying as we were. The original mixi post that I screencapped above had some pretty strong words for anyone who would make Kanna cry.

Kinda cold to see a single without Kanna, yes. Like maybe they could've written her a PV role where she's sitting on a chair petting a cat and watching the girls dance from a screen like she's their boss. Then she could be ~somehow~ involved, even if she had no lines or took part in promotional work. OH WELL!

watched DVD Mag 9 ... me miss Kanna ... I missed her wackiness .......

since typical patients with hallux valgus can expect a 6- to 8-week recovery period ......

add a month or 2 to the 6 to 8 weeks period coz she needs to be FULLY healed ....

she probably will be able to make it to the H!P summer concert
