Sped through Makai Senki this week. Will watch Soukoku no Maryuu tomorrow to complete this second saga. Probably will catch up with the current season in two weeks at the rate I'm going.

Still have one question left: Was Sigma the kid wearing the purple headband during that flashback episode? I know that the kid was in Leo's flashback as well and I wasn't sure if that was intentional or not.

^ Most think that's what they're trying to imply (the kid in the flashback had a scar on his arm and when Kouga saw the same scar on Sigma in the final fight, he recognized him.)

Also, in the episode where Kouga flashbacks to when he was a kid at that "training camp" with Baron, when the Horror came and "ate" Murasaki/Purple, we see a quick flash of what looks like glowing flower petals, which the same effect that we see later in Leo's flashback when his brother shows him the teleportation spell. So yeah, it was intentional. Sigma and Murasaki are the same person.

Finally finished Yami so Terasu Mono. Didn't expect to enjoy it without the original cast. Thoroughly surprised that I liked this season. Loved the western theme/lawlessness of VolCity. Only two major gripes with it though: the major villain and how weak he wasand Aguri's brief character development. Would have also like to see him use his bow as two swords. Nice coat though.

Nice to know where Soul Metal came from. I'd like to think this season is sometime far into the future and Priest Burai was the reincarnation of the samurai from Makai Senki. Hope we get to find out how the Garo armor lost its golden brilliance.

Onward to Tougen no Fue and Zero: Black Blood.....

Yeah, in terms of the characters, Aguri's story definitely got short-changed. The "bow as two swords" thing would've been cool as well, if they had been able to come up with the idea early on in the series instead of at the end of it.

In terms of how the Garo armour lost in brilliance, as soon as "Makai no Hana" was announced, there was quite a bit of speculation amongst online toku fans about whether or not they'd address it there. Guess we'll just have to wait and see (hell, I still have to work my way through Black Blood).

And a sneak peek at the new Uchuu Keiji/Space Sheriff being introduced in these upcoming movies, Estevan (apparently being played by Baba Ryouma, who is known for having played Ryuji/Blue Buster in Go-Busters). If the suit looks familiar, it's basically a re-coloured version of what they used for "Gavan Bootleg".

On it's own, the genre of Japanese tokusatsu (i.e. shows that have/feature the use of "special effects") is cool. On it's new, the long-standing British TV series Doctor Who is cool. However, putting the two together?

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah I'm going to say "no" to that one after seeing that.

Bit late but just started on Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger from Feb. 2013, okay through the first few episodes but don't watch as many of these series as I would like, you just have to give up so much time to watch one series compared to a regular drama. It was also the first one since Dengeki Sentai Changeman that didn't have a Deka Yellow.
