Holy crap I love the design and production value! One thing about the Garo franchise: they know how to do this shit.
Lemme comment as I watch?
Hmm, is it me or does it seem to hint at how Makai Knights get their armour forged? I mean, someone had to do it! It's not like magical armour sprouts from nowhere, and they did say that Makai Priests existed before Makai Knights in season 2, which meant that some enterprising Makai Priest(s) must have gotten together to fashion the first armour and start the trend. Of course, we probably might get no explanation (predictably), but it'd be cool if they delved into the history of Makai Priests and Knights at some point. Also, they not kidding about the Garo armour "losing its golden hue"...I'm going to be missing that shiny gold for most of the season, am I?
Aha, so it's "Volcity". Interesting, the shots of Kaneshiro Hospital other Kaneshiro-related things...I guess Volcity is under the control of the Kaneshiro family? Hmmm...I bet there's something wrong with them (duh
). Volcity, the perfect, peaceful, law-abiding city. Of COURSE there has to be a price for that peace.
Oh I like archer boy! So his bow is bladed as well, that explains how he fends off close range attacks.
And I really love how they summon their armour too.
Interesting, so the Horrors in Volcity aren't summoned through the traditional way -- aka via Gates of yin energy and the like. "It's as if they are being birthed somewhere"...wanna bet that Kaneshiro family thing has something to do with it?
Also, interesting that unlike the more or less solo hero Kouga was in season 1, they're going with more comrades/backup and working as a team of Knights and Priests. I guess if you have that many Horrors to fight it only makes sense. >_> Come to think of it, Kouga only usually fought one Horror per episode, with only the massive overkill coming in the last few eps. Whereas here I guess the massive overkill is spread out through the entire season. Hmm, they might be switching things up a little. I guess Garo will be turning into something like Kamen Rider? You know, turning into a decades-long franchise as long as someone is interested in it.
Well, I'm not complaining, always need more good toku in my life!
