On Sunday, the 5-member rock band BEAT CRUSADERS announced on their official website that they are splitting up. Their last scheduled performance together is in September.
In their message, they avoided using the word "breakup" but indicated that they are "spreading out." They also said that it was very difficult to explain their reasons for the decision.
The band will release a DVD single titled "Situation" on August 4. They stated that their final live performance will be on September 4 at the OTODAMA '10 music festival in Osaka. Before that, they also have performances scheduled at several other music festivals: SETSTOCK, Rock In Japan Festival, Summer Sonic, MONSTER baSH, and Sky Jamboree.
BEAT CRUSADERS was formed in 1997. They made their CD debut two years later, then finally signed with a major label in 2004.
