CDJapan just informed me that there will be dvd release of the newly created "Kago Channel".

I got that email too, I hadn't even realized I'd signed up for notifications...my only reaction is interesting. It's semi-cool the DVD will be published on the avex label and at the same time completely unsubstantial.

Kago will restart her singing career. She was at a movie opening event, where she mentioned that a song is scheduled to be released.

YES.
This is really exciting news indeed! I was waiting to hear something about a real singing career for her. I think she'll make an excellent solo artist as she has a beautiful personality and I've always enjoyed her voice, especially once she matured and really started using it (Like in W).

Kago Channel release thru Avex is at least suspicious.

English wiki says she's signed to "R&A Promotions Co" and Wiki.theppn says she's signed to "Mainstream"; nonexistent agencies according to the Internets, but whatever. The only real thing we have for now is that, no matter what management agency Aibon is signed to, she's releasing a DVD under avex. Quite interesting. A contract with Avex would explain many things, like Kago-chan's Goo CM, and her sudden "I will release four mini albums in April!~"

Kago Ai confessed on her blog that she is suffering from Ménière's disease. She assures the readers not to worry because it is not a dangerous disease.

Kago is going forward with her activities despite any health complaints. The second Kago Channel DVD is scheduled for release on December 19th. A day later she has an event called 「SPECIAL LIVE PARTY/X'mas 感謝祭2008」. She will sing and talk for her fans. They have the opportunity to buy goods including a limited edition of the 「LOVE BASKET 2008冬」 DVD.

Good news via Tokyograph: No Meniere's disease for Kago, just fatigue
