Geez, I was hoping for some angst and crying and melodramatic shit like Miki telling Aya she loves her just as Aya swings the katana for the death blow.

Oh well, what you got is good too.

At this point, I can see why Aya initially reacted the way she did (i.e. by freaking out and pursuing Miki like a psycho). It was never about her feeling betrayed by Miki. It was just the shock and fear of knowing the person she cared about the most was the one thing she was trained to hate and kill without emotion. Definitely a major emotional struggle on her part. In the end, she had to see if she was strong enough to risk their friendship against her "job", which obviously, she is.

Oooooooooooooh can't wait to see how Reina/Maki/Yuko react when they find out about this.

Whew. I was worried Aya would kill Miki. There were so many close calls and at one point I thought that Miki was just going to see if Aya would really kill her! But I should have known better, shouldn't I? Aya loves her Mikitty even if she is a vampire. And the fight was so amazing. Nicely done, nicely done.

Well, the initial reason why Miki wanted to kill Reina was because Reina let it slip to Aya that Miki was a vampire. Now since that issue has been *ahem*, resolved between Miki and Aya Reina should be in the clear.

Notice I said "SHOULD BE". Knowing Miki she'll probably have some fun at Reina's expense over it.

I had a feeling that all of this aggressive behavior would lead to something spectacular.

I'm pleased that Aya and Miki didn't kill each other, but can a relationship between a hunter and a vampire really last? *thinks back to Buffy*Also, I must say, you should continue writing battle scenes, because they're so awesome and descriptive! I can practically envision everything that happens.

Anywho, wonderful chapter! I'm also wondering where this is going . . .
