As we enter the New Year, we should all think about keeping healthy.

Well, today there is a notification regarding Morning Musume's Yoshizawa Hitomi.
In April 2000 she joined as a fourth generation member, and in May 2007 she will graduate from Morning Musume.  The last day of Concert tour 2007 spring (~SEXY 8 BEAT~) will be her last day as a member of Morning Musume.

Her style in Morning Musume for 7 years has been based on a characteristic of funky singing ability, the ability to use rhythm in dance, (etc).  Utilizing those, in Morning Musume, her unique character was shown.
This agenda was carried out successfully, as she had enough skill to carry it out.
You might think this is a "prideful graduation".
We expect that she can extend her personality with graduation from Morning Musume.
And, that personality is a new breath of fresh air to H!P.

After her graduation, we would like to challenge her with various chances such as solo opportunities as well as new unit opportunities.

After her graduation, the new leader will be Fujimoto Miki, subleader Takahashi Ai.  

For now, we're focusing on making a hit out of Morning Musume's concert tour for this spring.  Everyone's performances are our top priority, so please continue to support us.

Err... If there is going to be a unit, I don't care what it's about or who it is with, I still love it. But I demand: ISHIYOSHI. I'm pretty sure that would sell and, if they get to be more advertised, even non-wotas people could buy it. After all, it gotta be hot.
Anyway. I still don't like the idea of seeing her graduate from Morning Musume, but maybe this really could take some of the stress off her shoulders and get healthy again...? That'd be good.
Ah, she was such a great leader <3 If only I could manage to go to her graduation concert...

I don't think it's about time. She's the best leader MM has had since Yuko and, f*ck, Tsunku is ruining that. Also, I can't see the thing that people keep saying she doesn't fit MoMusu.

... I'm really rather shocked. I was semi-expecting it, but thought it would be next year, and Miki would be the one to graduate this year (the whole GAM thing and all).

We were also talking about it the other day in irc, but I don't know if Yossi has what it takes to be solo, so I'm a little concerned on that end. She needs someone to play off of. A new unit would be nice. While Yossi is not my favorite member, I still really like her and I think she brings a lot of character to H!P so it'd be sad to see that leave. I still thnk she'll be a part of Haromoni though, so I'm happy about that

But good luck to Yossi and I hope she has a HUGE graduation. She really deserves it.

I just hate "graduations", that's all. We all know that they're bound to happen sooner or later, but it still hits you like a ton of bricks when it's announced.

Actually, I thought Iida was a good leader too; in any case, all 3 of them (Nakazawa, Iida, and Yossie; Yaguchi doesn't really count) were very good.

As for Yossie not fitting MoMusu, I think those people are referring to the 7th Generation (mid-2005) MoMusu onwards; it's either that or vice versa, i.e. the rest (or most of the rest) of the present MoMusu don't fit into the kind of MoMusu that Yossie was from...

:evil: Well, as usual, Tsunku puts a happy face on everything without stating the obvious.  Yossee's contribution, IMO, was stepping into a difficult situation when Mari bolted (or was forced to bolt, depending on what blogs you read) without any warning.  I think Yossee was the best leader the group ever had.
 
On the other hand, it would not surprise me if Yossee herself had a hand in this, since her style and personality was developing in ways that were decidedly non-momusesque.  All the same, MM won't be the same without her.  Of course, I say that everytime someone graduates because I don't handle change very well.
