Stephen Chow rocks . I watched king of comedy last weekend and the funniest part by far is the one where he snaps that little boys dick with his finger and with the stick.
Thats so fucking crazy :D

WOW. Kung Fu Hustle is leading the way, nominated for 10 Golden Horse awards:
http://film.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/Guardian/0,4029,1595627,00.html

A fan of Hong Kong movie star Stephen Chow has admitted he illegally kept his idol's lost identification card, according to local media and a court document seen Thursday.

Currently, I'm watching his old TVB serials. Justice of Life (Ta loi ji kong wu); the whole character of "Ah Water" exemplifies what makes Stephen Chow so great. His "son of a bitch, playah, jackass" attitude. Then he just breaks out into Canto Opera. GENIUS!! XD XD

sooo want to get these VCDs and make some clips: http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/pid-1001810510/aid-10762/section-videos/code-c/version-all/did-3090/

wow retro.

i remember when I was rewatching the really old but classic Legend of the Condor Heroes 1982 version he appeared as an extra, a random begger that gets killed after 5 seconds of screen time.  It was so hilarious, I was like "hey wow there's Chow...hey he died"  ah the man is funny even when he didn't mean to be.

^ I KNOW!! Just one look cracks me up...in "Justice of Life" he's like trying to woo Teresa Mo, and he just gives her a ice cream sandiwch and considers that treating her to lunch "Women jun yee tum (are easy to woo)" he snickers!! My hero! :w00t:

He may be typecasted but he's a pretty good actor. That whole Tom Hanks thing...Sing Yeh has to do more dramas if he wants to do the Jim Carrey thing.

I'm itching to see some of his "darker" cop stuff like this one directed by John Woo:

Ng Man-Tat Said He Would Reunite with Stephen Chow in KUNG FU HUSTLE Sequel (MonkeyPeaches Exclusive)

October 23, 2005

Ng Man-Tat who played the second leading role in all Stephen Chow’s movies since 1989 and did not show up in Chow’s latest hit Kung Fu Hustle. Reportedly, Chow did not ask Ng to join the project even though Ng made himself fully available. Last week Ng Man-Tat told Taiwanese media that he had put the unhappy incident in behind and had begun talking with Stephen Chow for joining the planned Kung Fu Hustle sequel.

Poor Man Tat. he practically begged to be in Shaolin Soccer too. My cousin said they used to hang out all the time in the Metrople Hotel before they made it big. The whole TVB series "Justice of Life" previews what chemistry they have ...and no other co-star has equalled that yet.

Now that we're back in da game. Time to add some of this to the first post.

DOWNLOAD HIS MOVIES!!

one of my favorites...."TRICKY BRAINS"

DOWNLOAD

There are a TONS of Stephen Chow movies I could recommend, comparing them to his recent CGI stuff, they seem real cheesy but that makes them EVEN FUNNIER.

and more "Fahn Bahn" to come if there's any interest!

Anyone know when Kung Fu Hustle 2 is coming out? I've watched my DVD of that twice so far.  Hilarious movie that'll probably never get old for me.

i think stephan chow wont be as funny as he was back during the day. its simply because he is aging. u just dont see that childish side of him in his later movies. when he was in his prime, he was able to be more wacky and dumb. thats the reason i liked his actin back then.

i recommand u guys check out his dramas during the 80-90s. they were all very funny. he had great sense of humor back then.

Kung Fu Hustle was actually below my expectations, I guess because everyone else had been hyping it up, so my expectations was quite high. Yeah, I find his older movies funnier because he was way more wackier and the jokes are much dumber/funnier. Tricky Brains is an absolute classic (he works so well with Andy lau), and I also love the 007 and 008 movies. The 'evil gun' and the dissecting alien parts will stay in my head forever.

Does anyone know how much Kung-Fu Hustle sold in NA?  It was fairly popular at the movie theaters here.  ( Usually sold out. )

They need to hurry up and make Kung-Fu Hustle 2.

I enjoyed Kung-Fu Hustle too.

I got it on DVD - not sure if it said anything on the back or not.

I'm glad that Chinese cinema is finally becoming more mainstream in North America though.

I must admit,  I was actually surprised to see it doing so well...

I went,  not even in the first week,  and it was sold out.

I'd be guessing that they will release Kung-Fu Hustle 2 in theaters...

Besides that,  I'm not really sure.  I'm guessing he is a pretty much sure shot to have releases in NA now.  ( Especially since Shaolin Soccer and Kung-Fu Hustle showed well with the NA Audience. )
