Choi Ye Na Reportedly Preparing For Solo Debut + Agency Comments
On August 10, Star News reported that former IZ*ONE member Choi Ye Na is gearing up to make her solo debut within the second half of the year.
A source from her agency Yuehua Entertainment shared to TopStarNews, “Nothing is confirmed yet,” and added, “Discussions are currently ongoing regarding Choi Ye Na’s debut.”
If confirmed, Choi Ye Na will be the second IZ*ONE member to make her solo debut. The first member to announce her solo debut was Kwon Eun Bi, who will be releasing her album on August 24.
Following IZ*ONE’s disbandment, Choi Ye Na has been appearing on several variety shows and gaining attention for her cute personality and appearance.
Yuehua seemingly later confirmed it:
On the 10th, Yuehua Entertainment, her agency, said, "Choi Ye-na is preparing an album for her solo debut in the second half of this year. A specific schedule is under discussion."

Yena is preparing a solo album! It's awesome news, although it's a little bittersweet since I expected (and wanted) her to join Everglow, one of my favorite kpop groups currently.
For those not in the know, Yena was a Yuehua trainee and participated in PD48 along with current Everglow members Sihyeon and Yiren. Many people expected her to join the group after IZ*ONE disbanded.
She definitely has the chops for solo stuff, but lawd that is still a hard route to take. Of course, since she has become a variety girl, it could be a better option. In any case, the more Yena the better.
