Sahashi Yoshiyuki, her producer .. they dated and broke up once (it's said her family didnt like him).
but eventually they see each other again, worked on Cherish You (he was in the making DVD too... i should have known they made up).

Otani (Tadanobu Asano), a prodigiously talented writer, and his beautiful, faithful wife Sachi (Takako Matsu). While he is talented, his is a destructive lifestyle of heavy drinking, running up debt, and forming passionate relationships with women other than his wife. In order to repay one of those debts, Sachi begins to work in a drinking establishment called “Tsubakiya’, where she quickly becomes very popular with the customers, and shines more brightly with every day that goes by. Among those drawn to her are a regular customer named Okada (Satoshi Tsumabuki), a fan of Otani’s writing, and the lawyer Tsuji, an old boyfriend who once abandoned her.

As Sachi becomes almost unrecognizably beautiful, Otani burns with jealousy. Brooding over both his writing and his way of life, he resolves to commit suicide with his lover Akiko (Ryoko Hirosue). Sachi, finding out about this…

Dang , actually got to know her from watching doramas, thought she was very spunky cute in an old series called love generation starring herself n Kimu Taku.. its really sweet, i recommend it to ppl who wanna see more of her

but MAN! This movie "Confessions" blew me away....intense fucking shit. Matsu Takako in a role I never seen her before. The way she goes about her revenge....makes you think twice when drinking milk

^ Too bad the movie didn't make the final cut for the oscar.
There were 4 films that got cut before they narrowed it down to 5 best foreign language films. Confessions was one of them that got cut.
It is a great movie. Matsu Takako has become one of the best Japanese actresses.

^^ I agree! Confessions was so good, I almost had nightmares. It was so dark and depressing yet it opens up the possibility or reason why sometimes people do resort to the most desperate measures for the ones they love.
