One shots I'll do whenever I'm bored.
Inspired by Miyavi's Onpu no Tegami (borrowed some lyrics) and the fact that I found out what an Electone is XD
I hate how I can't quite capture what I wanna express in this. Anyway, it's a really <i>really</i> incredibly vague fic so I'll leave it to you to decipher it's meaning.
Just Three Chords
<b> I’m no good…</b>
Returning back to TV TOKYO’s station was not her plan, but the manager’s orders were always final. The camera crew started to shove and push, each desperate to leave the warm and uncomfortable van. Being the last to clear out of the vehicle, she managed to avoid being part of the shuffle. It’s not that the afternoon’s photo shooting went poorly, but it had been a rough day, despite the countless times that she had done this. Certainly exhausted, if not a little irritated as well, she made her way to one of the lobbies on the higher level.
<b> But I hope you’ll listen.</b>
She sat herself down on the windowsill, looking down at Tokyo, having to squint her eyes to catch a glimpse of urban men and women in interesting getups. And here she thought her promotional video outfits were too much. As the sun began to set, she thought of her recent activities, especially her photo book that would be published soon. She also wondered about her juniors, how they were now that they saw each other less due to photo shooting sessions, radio shows and their own separate sub-groups. Their friendship seems to have thinned over the generations, causing her some her necessary worry.
Soon growing bored of people watching, she stood up and walked towards the corridors adjacent to the public room. However tired she was, she couldn’t help but grow restless by just sitting around and waiting for instructions. She continued down the crammed hallway, tracing an invisible line with her finger across the whitewash walls as she walked.
<b> It’s not much though, </b>
Unconsciously, she started humming a tune that she had never heard before. It calmed her down, and had caught her full attention as well. The melody was beautiful, yet melancholic, as if it’s composer was playing in pain, subtle with a little longing. Though probably not quite it, she did not know just how to describe this unknown tune. In a way, the wordless music sounded like an attempt to convey a message, one that she was not able to completely understand yet. Passing by the recording studios, it took her more than a second to realize that she had been humming along to the exact tune that was coming from the music room. Her ears had earlier managed to pick up the melody despite its volume.
<b> I hope it reaches you. </b>
Captured by the haunting music, she stood behind the thin translucent door. She closed her eyes in order to fully concentrate on this particular piano piece. It seems to be connected to her somehow, for some reason. Being a vocalist more often than not, it’s hardly everyday that she gets to fully listen to just the instruments themselves without having to worry about whether she is capable of eventually singing in harmony when they start recording, or if she is placing in enough emotions and power to her voice. She did not even have the time and luxury to actually listen to music itself like now. All she wanted to do for the next few minutes was to be in the shoes of the audience and enjoy, even if only for a moment. For once, she wants to truly understand what she was listening to.
<b> There are many things I had never said to you, </b>
The music itself on the surface seems complicated to someone like her, one who had never played an instrument before. Every note the pianist hit had a distinct amount of delicacy and strength applied, that she could at least feel. As soon as the song reached what seems like a chorus (as identified by her limited music vocabulary), she felt her heart skip a beat, as if taken by surprise. The music grew intense, like a sort of conviction had been made. It was unlike the abandoned and uncertain verses she had heard earlier. She felt rushed by the change of tempo, and compelled to do something rash. Her hand automatically reached out for the knob but relaxed just in time, resting there as the music began to slow down, reverting back to the same few notes from before the chorus, as if a promise was secretly being made. Each note held longer intervals now, and then quietly, it came to an unexpected end.
<b> Because I’m not always good with words. </b>
She opened her eyes as soon as she noticed that the playing ceased to continue. Little did she realize that a lone teardrop had made its way down her cheek, showing how much she had been affected by the emotions placed into the music. Intrigued by this mysterious tune she had fallen in love with, she was eager to know who the person behind the piano was. Composing herself quickly, she turned the knob. Most of the lights in the room had been turned off. It was a different room from the ones where she used to have vocal lessons in; this particular place was as big as a dance room, with a grand piano situated in the corner, spotlighted by a lone ceiling light. The somberness of the song still lingering in the air, adding to the already lonely atmosphere. Rather than ponder over what this room was meant for, she softened her footsteps and neared the piano.
<b> It is embarrassing. </b>
When she approached the end of the room, she was met with surprise and familiarity. The pianist sat on the bench, staring down at the keys of black and white and running her fingers over them in consideration. Her head was slightly tilted, likely to be deep in thought for not noticing that another person had entered the room. It was the first time she had seen this person like that.
“I didn’t know you played the piano…”
The newcomer spoke up. She came up closer to the pianist and stood by her side, brushing her fingers lightly over the few keys on the right end of the piano. Her unannounced arrival and action took the pianist by surprised, snapping her out of her dream state. She jerked from her seat and looked up, eyes wide opened.
“When did you get here!?”
“Just. Were you the one playing that… song?”
The younger girl shrugged and played a part of the piece that lasted only a few seconds. It was enough to answer the older girl’s question.
“I’ve only played the electone before, not much of a pianist actually.”
“Oh, I remember. It was beautiful though…”
The younger girl kept quiet at the compliment.
<b> So I put it in the form of music. </b>
“Did you understand it?”
“A Little."
“That’s good.”
“Would you teach me to play that song?”
The elder of the two asked, pressing down on the keys as though it’s a difficult task. There was a form of restrain on her part, yet she was interested in replicating the song through her own fingers. The younger girl stood up at the question and shifted a few steps away from the piano.
“I won’t.”
“Why not?”
“Because it was only meant for one person to hear.”
<b> Even if it was only like this, </b>
“That’s… unfortunate.”
“It’ll lose it’s meaning if someone else plays it.”
“I see… Would <i>you</i> play it again though?”
“Probably not.”
The novice pianist smiled bitterly at her friend and started to make her way out of the room without a second thought, leaving the other alone with the grand instrument. She who had been left in the room sat down on the piano bench and pushed her finger against the white keys. Once her friend was really out of range, she finally let out what had been going through her mind all this while.
“Something with this much pain in it shouldn’t be experienced twice…”
She whispered to the piano as she played random alternate notes, each growing softer and lasted longer as she guided her fingers down the keyboard. A coincidental yet fitting end to what the other had left off.
<b> I hope you would understand these three simple chords. </b>

BEAUTIFUL , I feel like crying for some reason.
-
Wow. I'm impressed. I really am. All the way down to my extremely sore toes.
This is...beautiful. I felt like I was right there, following the character as she moves from place to place, moment to moment. There's a feeling, a synchronized rhythm to it that lulls the mind into thinking it's really there in that frame in the story. This is the kind of thing that impresses me, and I try (and not always succeed) to replicate this sort of feeling.
Congratulations, you are now on my WIN list. ^_^
-
Oh gosh.........*sucks in breath* I'm....I'm....I... don't know what to say, except this touched me on so many levels. It's a beautiful fic and I think I know who the 2 in the story are. That is if you meant for them to be specific people :P
If the title of this thread means you write only when you can't get to sleep, am I mean to wish that maybe you would lose sleep more often? :P
-
Thanks, I'm really flattered and honored to get such responses. :) Especially to be on Estrea's WIN list XD
It is very very rare for me to write something like that, but I hope I can do at least a few more of such one shots.
It's not mean, because I want to write more myself :P and I did this at 5am, so yeah, I do need insomnia to write in this standard :banghead:
-
^ You reply fast, I like
Maybe we could meet up sometime, just to hang out and talk about H!P XD I love fangirling sessions :P
Oh, and did I ever tell you I  ya sig? (Did you make it?) TakaGaki FTW :)
-
Well done, very well done. ^_^
Very surprised to see who the pianist is, after all, it's definitely not someone you'd expect playing the piano, so skillfully, too. As much as it hurts, the part that I loved the most in this piece is definitely the distance you put between the two.
>The younger girl kept quiet at the compliment.
GAH! Loved it, loved it, loved it.
I love how you gave us a different view of her. Or rather, her off-mode, should I say. :)
Thanks again, this was an awesome read. :)
-
@lil_hamz : Yah well, I've nothing better to do but reply :P
Yep, I made the sig myself. And fangirling sessions? I'm a quiet fan though XD
@Sevii : Glad you enjoyed. I rather enjoyed writing a side that isn't usually shown in fics, which I want to try with the other girls too, some day.
What amuses me about the replies are how no one actually mentions who the girls are. That's interesting. :)
-
*points at your delicious sig*
Well.......... I'm not a fan of spoiling it for other people.. but.. XDDDDDD
-
Bravo, VEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERY nicely done. :thumbsup

Another song inspired (and lyrics borrowed/altered) one shot. Super random choice of character and hmm, it's finally October. :)
Probably not as great as the previous one, but I hope you enjoy it.
Dear…
How long?
Taking a quick glance at the clock on the wall, she noted that two hours had already flown by during the period she had been kept busy with schoolwork. Initially having the rest of the day free, she decided to confine herself to the library in order to do some catching up. Obligatory silence within the combined study hall was a welcomed change of environment from the usual fun and mess with her newfound friends. However, she could not help but be distracted by the thought of certain others. She contemplated.
Really, how long as it been?
She closed the resource books that she had been browsing through during her temporary visit and turned her head to look outside. It had been a good choice to pick the window seat. The weather had been pleasant all month, and the greenery right by her on the other side of the wall was convenient whenever she wanted to rest her eyes. Zipping up her jacket to keep out the cold from the library’s air conditioner, she made herself comfortable in her seat.
It has been awhile, but she tore out a piece of line paper from her notebook anyway and placed it neatly in front of her, gently stroking the sheet with her palm to press out nonexistent creases. Lifting a blue gel pen, she unconsciously started pushing the button of the pen as she lost herself to her train of thought, unintentionally annoying her neighbors with repeated clicking noises.
In her mind, she figured out how to start, but found herself stumbling against a writer’s block again within seconds. Tapping the pen against her cheek, she tried to return to her memories. Like a movie, wonderful and enjoyable scenes played back before her eyes, now in a nostalgic sepia color. The times they shared together on stage, off set, and during breaks. All of it dug up from the depths of her consciousness, bringing a tug to her lips as she recalled each and every one of them in detail, disregarding the fact that months and years had already since passed.
<i>I wonder if there are times where we happen to be looking at the same sky.</i>
She paused at her plans to include this line and mused at the thought. Looking out the window and up beyond the trees, she pondered over the idea of whether any, if not all of them are actually doing the same thing. It amused her to no end if that were to be true. She lowered her hand and allowed the tip of the pen to touch the empty sheet of paper. Quickly, she lifted it up as a new question popped into her head.
<i>If I shouted your names into the sky, will you hear it? If you were the one shouting, I wonder if I’ll hear it too.</i>
She wanted to try, although that’ll be silly. She’s no longer the comedian she was portrayed to be, but a student now, nothing more and nothing less. But, what if she did tried? Can they hear her across continents? Once again, she toyed with the idea and the possibility of that actually happening.
<i>Sometimes, I wish we could meet in dreams. Wouldn’t that be fun? I bet it would.</i>
She nodded to herself, pulling her pen away from the paper for the countless time, her thoughts never giving her a chance to actually get them down in ink. Spontaneous and joyous memories soon faded from her reverie, and she saw the tears and laughter they had once shared. Be it together or separately, it was nothing new to her. The tears presented to their beloved audiences during performances, during failures, during successes and finally, departures. Her concentration was cut short when a flock of birds fled from the tree, apparently given a shock of their life.
<i>You know, I wish I had wings, like a bird’s….</i>
The escaping flock gave her yet another significant idea to pen down. As the birds disappeared through the clouds, she resumed her thoughts. Particularly on the many times a shoulder had been lent to her to cry on, and the comforting words which accompanied the act, especially during her graduation, and that one time when she blamed herself on losing a game during their weekly shows. It disappointed her to find out that it had been discontinued and replaced. She felt her eyes grow wet, moved by the mere thought of the support they had all given her back then, and the irreplaceable bond that they had built with each other.
<i>…So that I could fly back as and when to return the favor. To be there for you all when you are upset too. Then we can together laugh at how silly we were to cry.</i>
As she dried her eyes, she got carried away by her own mind. She propped her arm up and tilted her head towards the window, resting a cheek against her palm. She looked up at the sky, randomly amused by how incredibly slow the clouds moved, but at the same time, it is gradually noticeable if one were to observe long enough. She thought of the sky without borders, how it is connected no matter where she is, or where they were.
<i>Do you think if we simply followed the clouds, we’ll be reunited again?</i>
Giggling at how great that would actually be, she suddenly remembered that she was still in the middle of something. Picking up the pen that she had abandoned and left to idle on the table sometime during her daydream, she looked at the paper and pressed on invisible creases again with one hand. Deciding that she had better start moving before she becomes forgetful, she glided her hand across the sheet of paper and began to write.
‘Dear, my friends.'

Awwwwwwwwwww...so touching...
Is it Mako?
-
Wow, excellent, you could beat me (or are already beating me @_@) in conveying emotional scenes. I'm too hard-nosed and practical to write stuff like that. XD
Anyway, excellent work with description and I loved how you applied detail into the scene. It was subtle without being heavy-handed, and I enjoyed it.
Looking forward to more of this kind of work from you. ;) Good job.
-
What amuses me about the replies are how no one actually mentions who the girls are. That's interesting.
Oh, I wanted to. Believe me. But I didn't wanna spoil it for others who were reading. Plus, I assumed you didn't wanna reveal so obviously who they were.
This second 1 shot made my eyes water  I read it in the school lab and there were people who could see me, so I had to bite my lip and stop the tears from flowing in case I came across as some weird psycho XD
-
It's that touching? ;o I didn't actually intend to have it come across as sad or anything :-\
Mm, sorta don't wanna reveal anyone in any of my future one-shots :p
Don't think I'll be writing again soon though. I'm not feeling depressed enough, lol... or maybe I'm too depressed. Either way, until I find a good song to inspire me, any writing is on hiatus except blogging XD
-
Feel better soon. :(
I really love this second story as well.
The emotional roller coaster that went straight down hill, and only to climb at the end.
Nice work. :-)
Homesick will get you down like that though. ; ;
-
Inspired by the lack of guilt and a horrible temper.
Everything goes downhill in the middle and nothing to whoever that knows where the ending line is from :P
Changes
It smells of dusts, old furniture, late nights and plenty of nostalgia. Nothing seems to have changed since the last time she returned. Regretfully, she couldn’t recall when ‘last time’ was. A year, perhaps another two, but it doesn’t matter because an eternity was how it felt like. However, it takes more than just that to forget what she’ll always know as <i>home</i>.
With some difficulty, she pushed open the familiar door that had a cute entrance sign designed in what seems like crayon pasted to it. A corner of the paper had already turned yellow from age, and whatever that had been written on it had already been smudged and faded as well. A low creak echoed down the hallway. She shook her head with a smile; all this time and no one bothered to fix the fault. The room looked the same as before, but different too. Everything seems smaller, reorganized, and unfamiliar but familiar all at once. It was good to be back.
“I don’t think I can afford this visit…“
“Come on, how often do we get breaks nowadays? Stop thinking about work!”
“Alright, fine… I am already here anyway.”
Pulling her guest into the room, she pushed her down to sit on the bed. She then flopped backwards from the other side onto the bed, looking up at her long time friend. A second of observation was all she needed. From below, she took the chance while the other had her eyes wandering about the room.
Like unintentionally being caught in a trance, she gazed at the elder. The other’s untempered hair that is normally worn off screen, the light scent of perfume and soap, and the fabric of casual wear brushing lightly (perhaps not even touching, she wasn’t so sure) against her outstretched arms. Everything that she could sense, she registered them permanently into her very mind. Even the curious eyes that strayed from shelf to carpet, the calm breathing that could easily go unnoticed, the nervous and restrained fidgeting that betrayed that, as well as the guise that she couldn’t reach to remove. Like from behind a glass panel, she could only watch and not do anything. Trying to witness this was already too much to ask with the schedule and roster given by the agency, she couldn't complain.
“Is that you? You’re so different now…”
The mattress they were on shifted when the other stood up. She only noticed the emptiness beside her when the other’s afterimage shattered under her very voice. She sat up and looked on, snapping back to reality. Her colleague and leader had picked up a photo frame covered in a thin layer of dust and blew on it, revealing a childhood photo of the host. The twin ponytail the younger had long discarded, and the baby face that she had gradually outgrown was back once more within the snapshot. She heard her friend giggle.
“What’s so funny?”
“Huh? Nothing, I just find it cute, that’s all. Makes me think back a little.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah… Not that I don’t like your change though!”
“You’d better like it.”
The other joked, and the atmosphere reverted back to nothing but silence, nothing but comfortable silence as the elder of them both conveniently sets the frame down and moved towards the dresser with a sly smile that went unnoticed. The owner of the room thought of change, and secretly wished things were still the same as before, or would stay this way for a while. She didn’t really like the diversity of her friend, the toll that the other had taken upon herself recently without bargaining for some leeway. She didn't like how her once confidante wouldn't share thoughts with her like before. She didn’t welcome the change of the other, not when she couldn’t understand anymore. She couldn’t get used to the distance that had wedged itself between them without warning, but she knew that she really was in no position to speak. She had changed too, in some way or another.
“Do you still have it?”
“Have what?”
“That pajamas, the lizard one.”
Thankful for the distraction from her wild yet honest thoughts, she moved to the floor, crawling towards the dresser that the other was kneeling in front of.
“It’s a dragon! And I think it’s still somewhere around here…why?”
“I’ve always wanted to try it.”
“EH?!”
“What? It looked comfortable when YOU had it on.”
“That was years ago. But it is, though you probably wouldn’t look as cute as I had… would.”
“Nonsense. Now, where is it?”
“Sometimes, I wonder what you’re thinking.”
“I wonder too.”
As sudden and random as the conversation about who's cuter than who in a lizard costume came about, it was much better than filling her mind with disapprovals and selfishness. They were now occupied with childish and simple amusement, having fun without relating it to work, without having to put on fake smiles and try not to have their eyes sell them out. Even now, how much of that is actually true, she didn't want to realize. Any and all thoughts from before was shoved aside as time seemed to have turned back to when they were still themselves, without the weight of responsibilities on them. At least, that's how it felt to her. She thought for one last time before pulling the outfit from beneath all her old clothes, exactly where she remembered it to be kept. Perhaps…
Everything changes, but nothing is truly lost.
-
Damn, it's like they're visiting one of their childhood homes that they haven't been to in a while (due to the busy work schedules) and they're actually having a moment where they can just be regular "girls" instead of having to be their professional selves. It's almost like catching up on part of their childhood that they missed out on.
Picturing the scene makes me feel all gooshy and warm inside. :shy1:
-
Lizard costume?
Has to be Risa's :B
She looked so adorable in it, roffle xD
Striking again with Takagaki, huh? <3
-
Ah, Takagaki. <3
Your melancholy makes you creative. How familiar.
Good job anyway. XD
-
Hmm, yes. It always ends up Takagaki or something, I didn't really preplan this :x Just wanted to try to get my mind off things and I wanted to use a line i got off a comic book. XD
Your melancholy makes you creative. How familiar.
I'm hardly creative when in a good mood -_- *sighs*
I've been getting my creativity off horror/occult comics lately
-
Ahhhhh TakaGaki    I LOVE them :)
At first, I thought the owner of the room was Ai-chan. Then I went..."Ohhhh." :P
That PJs is a dragon suit? I always thought it was a dino
-
That was such a sweet story  I really love the last quote.. :yep: I don't remember where it's from but I have heard it before..was it from a song? or a movie?
if takagaki had a sleep over, risa could wear her dino outfit and ai chan can wear her sparrow costume! Then it would be a pure cuteness battle!
-
@Sukoshi: The imagery is funny XD and <333
The quote's from a DC/Vertigo comic, at least that's where I got it from.
@lil_hamz: I think it's a dragon, or so I've been told. I've wanted to get a cow one but screw paypal, ebay and creditcards >_>
Anyway! I need some info for another one shot I wanna do tonight, and I hope someone could help me out a little.
Where do the girls normally stay? o.o
Is Risa still doing voice acting currently?
Hmm, I think that's it. Thanks~
-
^ A cow PJ suit? Makoto? XD
If you mean stay as in live, I think Risa stays with her Grams in Tokyo. I don't know the exact location, I wish I knew though :P As for Eri, she most probably lives with her whole family since they are from Tokyo anyway. Apparently in a 3 or 4 storey house? Ai-chan stays in an expensive apartment block with her mom. Oh, I think Sayumi lives with her mom as well. Her sister is a kindergarten teacher, I don't know if she's one in Yamaguchi or Tokyo.
Since Athena is still running, I would think Gaki-san will be doing the voice acting for some time.
-
Yes! That one, the one Makochan wore XD It just looks so comfy, and I'd rather really wear that than the usual tshirt and shorts when I sleep :P
Now either i wait for someone to fill me in with the rest of MM, or I"ll make up imaginary homes for them XD But I hope I can finish it before tomorrow anyway. Thanks for the info ^^
Meanwhile~ *plots to work in UFA* :B
-
Linlin and Junjun live with different homestay parents, I think.
Umm... I don't know who Reina stays with, but a couple years ago, or maybe even just last year, she said on a radio show that she didn't have a room to herself here in Tokyo.. so... hmm. I'm thinking she stays with relatives or something.
I have no idea concerning Mitsui or Kusumi. Except that Mitsui makes her own lunch boxes? LOL.
Sorry, I'm of no help at all.
-
Ah!! I just remembered something. Koharu lives with her granny too. Who knows if their living arrangements have changed since then. But yup, this was what happened before.
If you ever succeed in working at UFA, you know I'll be bugging for some insider information about what the girls are really like XD
-
Provided UFA hires sound engineers :P or I could try to get a record deal with them if I go ahead with doing a major in music :o
haha, I'm crazy. Hmm.. Maybe in a few years, I'm starting my course in 2 weeks. <3
Anyway, weird fic from an inhuman point of view. I don't know, it was hard to end..
and Happy Birthday to me~ I'm still not legal enough to drink and drive.. meh..
A night with Mr Sandman.
Tokyo, Japan. It is the first half of October and somewhere in this metropolis, men wasted away their night in the company of wine and lust. Further downtown, juveniles come out to play with their toys and big words. In situations you would probably be familiar with, some are desperately hugging the Buddha’s leg while attempting last minute revisions. All of them, fighting against that which makes them succumb to dream. And you? I’m wondering why you’re still awake at this time, or something to that extent.
Round a corner and remembering to take a left turn, a girl who had recently become an adult rushes out of a building and flags for a cab. The roads were fairly deserted right now, and I wonder where she’s heading at this time of the night. She paced, from pole to pole, those same ones that held the taxi stand’s shelter up. Growing impatient, the girl in a simple white sweater and pink pleated skirt checked her wristwatch again, followed by the straining of her neck, in hope of catching at least a glimpse of any vehicle in the distance. As she waited, she thought and considered, whether to persuade the driver to give her a ride if it was a private car, or kick an existing passenger out and hijack the cab. Her pink and fluffy twin hair ties shook violently along with her head. That is unbecoming of an idol, she thought. She waited some more as her watched beeped, reading ‘11: 10PM Thurs’. She wished she could be in bed now rather than rush out for a recording.
Back in the building, which turns out to be a residential estate, what we’re looking for is really behind. In a modern multi-story house that smells of an Italian restaurant, everything was pitch black. The humming of a water filter was amplified in the empty hall, and behind that fish tank was the kitchen. Left over spaghetti, an empty packet of mozzarella and a bottle of digestive pills sat on the counter. But let’s ignore that and move on. In a room upstairs with more than enough books for anyone to ever finish and a portable karaoke set, there’s a sleeping beauty in the center of it all. Already deep in slumber, one wonders just how heavy of a sleeper she really is. Under the thick blanket, she was clad in an oversized t-shirt that seems to be customized specially for her. Surrounding the sleeping girl was a collection of soft toys ranging from bears, to rabbits, aliens and dolls. In her very arms was a giant turtle, which she hugged protectively and mumbled sweet nothings to. She stirred in her sleep, telling me that it’s time I find someone else to visit.
On the other side of town, but really just at the end of the neighborhood and in yet another multi-storey building, a young talent sat crossed legged in front of the couch. In t-shirt and shorts, she sat a bowl of salad on her lap (more meat than salad, really) and switched on the television, lighting up the entire room. She shouldn’t be wasting time away like this, but who could resist late night comedy acts together with their favorite food? She laughed hard, she giggled, and she tried many times to stifle both. It wouldn’t have been pleasant to wake up the other occupants of the house, and the least she could do was to be considerate when given a place to stay for free. Beside her were a stack of craft paper, and 3 boxes of different markers, pens and crayons. She thought it would have been nice to make her specialty -handmade cards- once the show was over, but little did she know that she would start to grow drowsy once she got into the second half of the act.
I wander some more, leaving the three girls behind to their own devices, dreams and fatigue. Passing by a window, we try to take a peek. Inside someone stood by her desk, holding a phone receiver to her ear. I could hear what she was saying, but I don’t understand. In her native tongue she spoke perhaps, and I simply watch on. In sweat pants and a shirt, she shuffled her feet nervously, sometimes smiling, sometimes not. She was reluctant to hang up, but a third yawn was the last straw. She bid farewell, a satisfactory smile on her sleepy face as she returned the receiver to its original place. Crawling into a bed, she laid still for a few moments, a small prayer escaping her lips. Slowly, her eyelids grew heavy and another gives in to the sandman.
Uptown, I feel closer to finishing my task. I could hear a distinct variation of expressions and tones from somewhere. There were exaggerated claims, soft sighs and girly chuckles. It was amusing to listen in on, but it really makes me curious about the visuals. I spied from behind the curtains, only to see arms flailing and papers flying when someone else came through the door. The occupant of the room shrieked in surprise and bent down quickly to clean up her mess while muttering apologies and promises to go to bed soon. On the floor, she slumped against her bed once she had tidied up, pulling down her pajama top that had rolled up during her rough movements. Sighing in frustration, she closed her eyes, reciting lines with specific emphasis in her head. Gradually, the practice stopped unplanned and I hope she wouldn’t have a sore back tomorrow morning.
Somewhere in a rich district, which I don’t really know why I’ve set foot into, a certain apartment caught my fancy. I see designer furniture and really nice wallpapers. I must say, whoever owns this place surely has taste. I wondered through the quiet corridors and found a room still lit. A woman sat up in bed, wearing a nightgown that made me a little shy, but let’s not get carried away. She was reading, rather intensely I might add and soft music played softly in the background, which she paid no attention to. Ironically, it made me a little lethargic too, but I must complete my duty nevertheless. I waited for her to lay down her book and turn off the lamp. I waited for her to sink into the blankets and close her eyes. I have waited a little longer than expected, but it never came. Out of patience, I let the woman be.
From where I stand now, I watch the city sleep. Like a creepy stalker one might personify me as, traveling on clouds and along with the wind, I had paid each of them a visit, or at least tried. Now that my work is done, I sprinkle dust into my very eyes and join them in their dreams.

Ai-chan go to bed!
This was very interesting, I like. :)
But where was Sayu going? Konya mo Usachan Peace? :D
-
That was totally random...and completely marvelous. :thumbsup
and Happy Birthday to me~

A night with Mr Standman.
After reading the story, shouldn't it be "A night with Mr Sandman"? :P
-
Happy Birthday inDeceit ~~
Yay, I'm glad I saved this story for the night time...I feel like I should go to bed after reading XD
You're so good at descriptions, you always manage to create a story that feels so real. Sayu shaking her head and Eri mumbling sweet nothings to her turtle plushie are my favourite scenes
hehe...one thing I kept thinking through out the whole story was that Mr Sandman is a very luck stalker...and then he even calls himself a stalker XD that was cute~
-
I really like the concept of the last story. Your writting style is great too, very smooth.
-
hugging the Buddha’s leg
That sounds like me XD
the girl in a simple white sweater and pink pleated skirt checked her wristwatch again
My first thought was, "They get to wear wardrobe outfits home?" Next came, "No wait, Morning Coffee's a red skirt not pink." :P
I'm guessing the 5 girls are 5th and 6th gens.
HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

But I really wanted to use this one too. *Looks at leaf and recalls Eri's PB* :D

^__^ Thanks for those.
Hm, I've been itching to do another long story. Tell me what you think of this plot:
A guardian of dreams reincarnates every 22 years until the end of time itself as a punishment for failing her duties. Born in the Showa period, the 100th reincarnate now exist in modern Japan in the form of a popular idol, with no memories of her past lives, her true identity, and the fact that she has a fixed life span soon to reach an end. On the other hand, the antagonist who had been equally punished was out for vengeance. As a loose apparition, it possesses various helpless and unsuspecting victims so as to track down the guardian’s incarnate in order to destroy her for good, and at the same time searching for a way to free himself/them from this eternal sentence. It is a race against time for the guardian, to save herself and everyone else, but it's easier said than done when anyone from friends to lovers could be her enemy.
Quick summary on the whole thing. Actually starting it is another story altogether though  I just wanna do something with dreams lately.
-
Interesting!!!!!!!!!!
Want to see more! :3
-
Interesting :B
But the concept is a little similar to my story in regards to reincarnation and it being an 'age-old battle' and stuff xD
-shrug- :B
-
You think? Hm..
Not really an age old battle though, because the antagonist never appeared or made any attempts for the last 99 reincarnations. *shrugs* There's a keeper guarding him/her/it. I didn't mention a lot of things in the summary, but I guess it's similar in the reincarnate part. I've been doing my research on myths in Japan and stuff, but ends up I have to come up with my own folktale for this =A=
Ah well. Feeling too much like shit to continue the prologue. Damnit, I wish I never found out about MM's trip to Taiwan >_>
-
Don't feel shitty, I felt shitty the entire day and bought a ticket.
-
Somehow I feel worse now -_- Considering how they might be visiting places where my relatives stay and I could actually be there ;_;
Ah well, I went to bed and felt better. There's always another chance anyway.
*goes back to prologue*
Just wondering, about this fic, who would you guys like to make an appearance? Coz I'm stuck with who's going to be what...
-
I nominate the 85ers + Aya, and the Melons :B
Aichan would be <3 too <333333
-
awesome idea, I can't wait to read it.
As for the characters, I was thinking you would pick ai chan for the dream guardian since she's 21 and born in the showa era. And of course i want the gorokkies in the story =D As for the antagonist I had this funny idea that it would be fujimoto since she's good at possessing things...erm...oh wait..I'm thinking of groping...XD well unless the antagonist is purely fictional, I'll just wait and see =D

Halloween special
It was a dark and stormy night, one unlike any other. The room felt stale, unusually chilly. She watched lightning illuminate the crowded sky through the gap between window blinds, and counted the seconds until the next flash. Thunderclaps made her jump from her seat, causing her heart to pump faster, but she derived a morbid form of enjoyment from this adrenaline. It was an unfortunate night however, for she is stuck in the building until the rain clears. The clothes she wore were unsuitable for the weather; denim three-quarters and a top. She was now cold, alone and very hungry.
One more crack in the sky and she became blinded. The entire room went pitch black suddenly, and all she heard was silence, a dead tone hanging in the air. It made her a little nervous, to be unable to see even her own hands, to be unable to see even a hint of light, to not see at all. Her eyes had a hard time adjusting, but soon enough, she pushed herself away from the dresser she had been sitting at and got up. She dared herself to take her first step within the darkness, and when she did, she tripped over her own bag of clothes and fell to her knee.
She cursed under her breath, pulling her feet out of the clothes pile. It surprised her how much clothes she actually brought along. She made a note to remember that she had only one body and did not need 2-dozen sets of clothing a day. As she struggled to her feet, she heard a horrifying scream from outside. A scream that made her hair stand and spine shiver, something that even the chill couldn’t succeed at doing. Searching blindly, she picked out a familiar jacket and threw it over herself before reaching for the door. The knob felt like ice to her palms.
“Hello? Anyone around? Why is it so dark?”
She leaned against the wall and depended on it to guide her way, not trusting the light offered by the city outside. She couldn’t stand the atmosphere; it was just like a scene out of a thriller movie, or worse, horror. She whimpered at the thought and shut her eyes, motionless on the spot as she pressed herself against the wall as though her life depended on it.
<i>”Give me back my head~!”</i>
She heard someone yell from behind her, it came as an echo. She yelped, eyes flying open. She turned around quickly only to catch a glimpse of a fleeing cape and a glow of light. Ignoring the saying of how curiosity killed cats, she decided- no, that’s wrong. Without thinking, she followed the figure and turned the same corner as he, or she did. There was no one in sight, or at least as well as she could see, the corridor was empty when she arrived. She clenched her clammy fist and crept onwards warily.
Pulling back in time, she stopped herself from rolling down the stairs. She looked around and noticed emergency lamps lighting the stairway albeit a little too dim. Thanking her lucky stars, she carefully made her way down, holding on to the railings tightly. She took one step at a time, careful not to trip from being too cautious. She shuddered and held back screams whenever she felt something brush against her cheeks or touch her shoulder.
<i>”Owowow, shit, you’re stepping on my hand!”</i>
She heard someone yell from underneath her and there was something bumpy under her feet. She quickly jumped away onto the platform and saw someone lying on the floor, dressed in white and having some sort of maroon stain all over him or her. The person moaned in pain and was panting slightly, her hair in a gruesome mess. Ignoring all signs of humanity in the figure, she shrieked and fled down the stairs in a panic. Running through corridors and emergency exits, she had no idea where she was going. She was too frightened to even register what was going on or even stop to wonder.
After a very tiring run, she found herself in the lobby, which was dark as well except for the city lights beyond the enormous window. At a whim, she ran towards the first gap she could vaguely make out and was eager to squeeze herself into it. But, if it weren’t for a heavy hand dropping itself on her shoulder and immobilizing her, she would’ve succeeded. She felt herself tense up from fear and surprise as the hand trailed down to her midriff and wrapped itself around her, locking her left arm in place. There was a harsh pulling motion from behind as she fell against a lanky figure, the contact of skin making her shiver.
There was no warmth in this, not even from the other’s body itself. She was pretty sure the figure was female though, given the assets she felt with her back, which wasn’t much. She struggled to break free, but the hold on her was strong. There was a sudden grip on her free arm; completely taking her hostage in whatever crazy game the other was playing. She struggled even more, but it was all just useless shrugging.
<i>“I’m…hungry”</i>
The person behind her muttered dreamily into her ear, and then she felt warm breath caress the angle between her neck and shoulder. She took comfort in the heat, unafraid to blush because of the poor lighting in the lobby. She grew shy at the interaction, growing weak when the other from the warm air exhaled, and craving when she inhales. She wants to move away, but she can’t and it wasn’t due to the fact that she’s being held captive. There was a bittersweet smell from the other, something like grape, or maybe something else. Before she could figure out what it was, she felt something sink into her shoulder.
She gasped at the brief touch, and then she winced at the sharp pain. There was a wet sensation on her shoulder, though she wasn’t sure whether it was from her or the other. The further the object – seems to be a pair of fangs – went, the more weight was laid on her shoulder. Little by little, she leaned forward, and gradually she felt her legs grow weak and the grip on her loosen. But it was all too late when she tipped over and crashed into the marble floor. She had passed out upon impact, with the person she had been assaulted by earlier lying on her in an unconscious state, arms still around her body.
Voices were gathering by her ear, she could hear screaming, scolding and lots more. It was getting stuffy, and she had some difficulty breathing. She felt a sharp pain to her cheeks and more yelling. She tried her best to open her eyes, but her head hurts.
“Hey! Give me back the head- Koharu! Don’t slap her!”
“Do it again! I think it’s working!”
“ Mitsui!”
“Coming through! Coming Through!”
“Oh my god, someone stop Yoshizawa!”
“Argh, you got me wet!”
“Look what you did, now I have to refill the bucket!”
“Stop touching me! Takahashi, take over!”
“No way, it’s time you got your just desserts, <i>Aoi Tori</i>.”
“Why you… I’ll show you desserts when we’re through with this.”
“Maybe someone should give her CPR, hm?”
“Oh no, you don’t.”
“But whhhhhhhy!?”
“Because.”
When she finally opened her eyes, she felt like fainting all over again.
The entire room was decorating in cobwebs, pumpkins and plastic bats. In front of her, Risa was playing tug-a-pumpkin head with Aika, both red in the faces from the intensity of the game. Aika was dressed like a pixie, with a wand to boot. Risa on the other hand, her hair was in a mess and she was draped in white with purple stains on her, just like… almost like the woman she had met on the stairs. Everything clicked now, although she didn’t think Risa was deliberately trying to imitate Sadako. Koharu had her hand raised above her, almost in attempt to land a big one on her cheeks. She seems to be cosplaying Kirarin. Either that, or Koharu was just dismissed from school. She was relieved when the hand moved away.
On the other side of the room, Hitomi was holding on to a bucket that was tilted 90degrees to the front, and standing in a puddle of water, blinking dumbly. She was in a pimp suit, how fitting. And it comes with a purple hat and cane. Walking away from her was Ai, drenched to the skin in her angel outfit, reused from the old hello morning skits. Sayumi was in a similar angel costume and being led to the other side of the room by Ai, who was comforting the disheartened girl while shivering and sneezing and cursing the ‘damned pimp’.
To her side was a sight to behold. A very large blue bird was sitting on someone wrapped in a cape. Miki had her… uhm…wings folded and one feet tapping furiously against the floor, a sign of being very impatient. Underneath her laid Reina, leaning back against the couch in a limp, snoring quietly, unaware that her hand had crawled to Miki’s side to stroke the nice fabric. Annoyed for the hundredth time in the last 10 minutes, Miki slapped the hand away and turned her head to the side in frustration. She noticed that the girl everyone was worried over had finally woken up. Miki snorted at her.
“What are YOU looking at?! Want some golden ‘eggs’?”
She squeaked and scooted away from the angry blue bird.
“KAME! You’re alive!”
Risa dropped the pumpkin on Aika’s foot when she heard the squeak and rushed to her friend’s side and gave her a bear hug, much to Ai’s dismay as she was peeking back from her corner of the room.
“What… happened? Why are you all… are we doing a skit again?”
“No silly!”
Risa grinned and plopped down on the empty space beside Eri, putting an arm around the confused girl.
“It’s Halloween!”
“Hello Win? What’s that? A new hello! Show?”
“Not hello win, HALLOWEEN. You know, it’s a western thing. Costume parties, horror movies-“
“And basically many things that will scare your pants off.”
Miki interrupted, a mischievous grin on her face as she hopped off the unconscious girl, fed up with being frisked when that is her job. She walked away like a penguin; seriously making the attitude she was giving people before a joke. Hitomi followed behind to make sure that she does not spoil the event and burn the costume. As they left the room, Hitomi was unable to resist and started to poke Miki’s feathery behind with her pimp cane.
“Oookay… Why didn’t I know about it?”
“It was meant to be a surprise, but reception died when we wanted to contact you.”
“That sucks.”
“Yeah, you also passed out during the black out, poor thing.”
“Black out? Ah! The storm! By the way, what happened to your clothes? I almost thought it was blood.”
“Hah! Blood, good one. Reina spilled wine on me, now we’re out of alcohol for the party. Might as well.”
Risa shrugged and glared over at the unconscious girl, which was Reina. Eri looked over as well and noticed the familiar smell of wine, and grape. Reina was rolled up in a black cape, happily enjoying herself in dreamland while licking her lips and muttering chants of ‘yakiniku’.
“Yeah, we found her unconscious and drunk on top of you.”
“How did she…”
“Drank most of the wine. It was Fujimoto’s fault! But really, who knows Reina could get frisky when she’s drunk. Or move faster than an average human, we could barely find her until she passed out.”
Eri nodded. Elsewhere in the building, Miki sneezed and a golden ‘egg’ fell out from under her costume. Hitomi looked at the blue bird accusingly. What came next was… lots of hurt and tossing of magical poop. Back to the crowd, Sayumi had hopped back to where Eri sat and pats her on the head, glad that her best friend was feeling better already, although visibly upset that she couldn’t perform CPR on her. On the other hand, Ai had been tagging along behind and cleared her throat loudly.
“You know, we’re behind schedule for the party.”
“Oh yeah! It’s almost midnight. Come on, we should go. It’s all ready.”
“What about Reina?”
“Mitsui, Koharu, carry her.” Ai and Risa ordered at the same time.
The youngest two of the idol group gapped at their seniors. In the end, they still did what they were told. Each grabbing a pair of Reina’s limbs, they hauled her upwards and carried her off like a corpse. The drunken girl smiled clumsily in her sleep, revealing a pair of canine teeth. Eri noticed it straight away.
“See, you shouldn’t have slapped her!”
“What? You told me to do it again!”
“Shut up and move, she’s heavy.”
“Hoho! You called her fat, I’m telling.”
“I said heavy, not fat!”
Eri couldn’t help but laugh at the junior’s petty argument and how Reina would react when she finds out about it. Risa then instructed her to follow the girls to the party room while she accompanies a very wet and freezing Ai to change.
“We’ll see you later, okay? Come on Aichan! I think the Oni costume is still available.”
“No, I’m not wearing that! I’d rather wear the kindergarten costume than that!”
“Okay, kindergarten costume it is.”
“No, Risa! I take back my words!”
“Hmm... Actually, I’m thinking cat burglar. It should still fit. Stop being picky.”
“… God, I hate those producers.”
Ai gave up and allowed herself to be led into the changing room. Left to her own devices, Eri entertained herself by watching the two youngsters carry Reina off. She unconsciously felt the side of her neck, recalling just moments ago when she felt herself being bitten right there. There were two obvious lumps, which made her blush at how she secretly did enjoy the feeling a little.
Although, she wasn’t quite sure if fake fangs were sharp enough to penetrate her like that. She had to admit to herself though, she did feel a little different. But she'll save all questioning after the party. Right now, she's too hungry to want to say anything else.
A/N: This is.. soooooo random and bad. x___x

It was a dark and stormy night, one unlike any other.
Kowaii~.

Power outage/blackout?
”Give me back my head~!”
Hmmm...you don't hear THAT everyday. :dunno:
”Owowow, shit, you’re stepping on my hand!”

Vampire Sayu??? :mon scare:

Oh...so this was just the MM Halloween party? :?
But then, who grabbed Eri (assuming that it IS Eri).
On the other side of the room, Hitomi was holding on to a bucket that was tilted 90degrees to the front, and standing in a puddle of water, blinking dumbly. She was in a pimp suit, how fitting. LOL @ Yossi's "wet pimp" look.
To her side was a sight to behold. A very large blue bird was sitting on someone wrapped in a cape. Miki had her… uhm…wings folded and one feet tapping furiously against the floor, a sign of being very impatient.
Miki's the Bluebird of Happiness!!! :wahaha:
She noticed that the girl everyone was worried over had finally woken up. Miki snorted at her.
“What are YOU looking at?! Want some golden ‘eggs’?”
DAMMIT! WHERE'S THAT GOlDEN "UNKO" pic when you need it! XD
“What… happened? Why are you all… are we doing a skit again?”

POKING with the pimp cane!!! :pimp:

“Yeah, you also passed out during the black out, poor thing.”
Poor Eri. (http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c340/J-F-C/giggle.gif)
But wait a sec...we still don't know who grabbed Eri and bit her. (http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c340/J-F-C/blink.gif)

But it would be so cute! :D
“Hmm... Actually, I’m thinking cat burglar. It should still fit. Stop being picky.”
On second thought...
-
Hahaha! At first I thought it was a spoof of Cinderella (Korean horror film), but then it turned into something else entirely.
I liked how Ai and Risa suddenly got all bossy, and how Aika and Koha couldn't get along.
Nice one, really! :)
-
Aww, Kame!
Yes, random, but not bad. Not bad at all. XD
Miki sneezed and a golden ‘egg’ fell out from under her costume.
Lol! This just begs to be fanart-ed
-
I would draw, but meh.. Too lazy XD
Doing another fan work, though I should really finish up chapter 4 XD
Thanks for liking this, but I don't think I'll try my hands on attempting comedy anymore .__.
-
 Wooooow! Who knew it was Fang~y Reina! Fufufu....Kamei is an M, how unexpected. So...the different feelings that she has, s she gonna turn into a vamp soon? I thought for sure it's gonna be horror. You fooled me.
-
I present to you....
A Pointless OPV ;__;
My first time ever to edit a video and audio track.
I have no idea what I'm doing anyway. I used the speech to cover up my sloppily done song merging
It's been cut to only 2minutes+ long, because a 5minutes song is too much for a noob like me.
http://www.veoh.com/videos/v1403856ZWjH26WC
<s>I'd upload one with better quality .__. but internet hates me right now.</s>
-
You posted it! <3
-watches-
Hm, not too bad for a first timer. XD You should have included the clip from the MM Fanclub Tour in Hawaii this year though. The part where Risa was talking about her sleeping over in Aichan's room. XD Oh well. Good job!
-
Oh yeah, but I would if I understood which part was the sleepover XD
Uploaded one with a much better quality (omg this one has syncing problems D:), and also the clip of Nakazawa in Taiwan :)
-
Right before she called Ai-chan in a cavity inducing sweet tone is when she talked about her sleepover. lol.
-
This fic is really entertaining :D I started laughing as soon as I got what was going on. It took me some time to figure out who the main character was :P
I watched the opv. It's , like any TakaGaki related stuff is  No idea what was being said at the end though. Somebody tell me! XD I'm still waiting for MTV channel to screen that interview with MM in Taiwan. They better do it soon, I'm getting impatient XD
-
I'm still waiting for MTV channel to screen that interview with MM in Taiwan. They better do it soon, I'm getting impatient XD
Haha, me too! I've been recording the damned channel almost everyday, and that's like the only programme with good PVs to watch XD
I think it'll take awhile though, seeing how long they took to screen Yuuko's visit. Man, I hate and envy the host >_> lol
If I remember, I used a part from takagaki's futarigoto for the last part in the OPV. Something about Risa having problems and feeling blue, wondering who to talk to about it, and usually it's Aichan she turns to. I wanted to make it longer, but I ran out of clips XD;;
-
Another OPV!
http://www.veoh.com/videos/v1418642WwT29qfE
:)
-
^ You're on a roll aren't you XD I feel spoiled but keep em coming. More, MORE I say :D How long do you spend on them? And it's so cool that you can have all the member names in Japanese. What program do you use if you don't mind me asking :P The clips you chose are so suitable and fun, gosh I had this big stupid grin on my face the whole time. But it's a huge file, 495 mb?? :O
Oh and MTV is gonna screen that MM interview this week!!! Finally. I'm guessing it will be before middle of the week so keep your finger on that record button XD
-
yeah, I'm on a roll and I have completely run out of diskspace on my laptop, lol
I used iMovie HD and garageband, it came with the machine ^_^ The former program lets me add titles so I went crazy. And being so incredibly chinese, I had to have everything in Kanji or at least it's original language :X... almost everything.
The tough part is measuring each section to it's 0:00:01 second so that I can sync the original JKM video to the audio (veoh unsync'd it a little), hence making it look like a PV remix. I spent about the whole of Sunday on that, but it depends on the video. andddd yeah.. I'm blabbling. It's only my second try ever, and I'm glad it turned out alright. At this rate, I should probably have taken Film instead of Audio as a diploma course
Anyway, gonna try a gokkie OPV sometime later in the week when I'm done with Chapter 4 of the dream fic. That chapter irritates me D<
The programme's on in 2 hours! I'm going to go try my luck today xD
edit: I almost died for today's episode. interview on Friday ^__^
-
^ Yeah I saw it too. Ken-san was saying it will be on Fri!!! But I got school till 9pm every Friday so that sucks. I'll have to watch the repeat on Saturday. If I miss it I'll run myself into a wall XD
Ooooohhhh a Gokkie OPV?!?! I wanna seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee  Speaking of OPVs, I've got some ideas in my head for new ones but I don't have the time or a computer where I can hog and work on it uninterrupted :( I've been thinking of getting my own for a while now but being the techno retard I am, I'm afraid of choosing something totally wrong for my needs. Oops, now I'm blabbering, sorry :P
Have you seen some of the Korean TV shows that the girls went on? I posted 2 links in the Risa thread if you haven't. TakaGaki are soooooooooo gorgeous!!
-
I saw it!! :D and I'm like two days late in replying XD I've also (badly) recorded the interview on MTV last week.
(took away that dumb update, for anyone that saw XD It's just so bad.. lol )
-
Lol. Just caught up! And I have to say, All of your one-shots are simply fantastic
By the way, Your avatar kind of freaks me out inDeciet. But that's because I haven't had any sleep in the last 24 hours and it's about 12:30am right now.

I didn't like the takagaki sketches I was planning to finish for christmas and I don't really like this particular one shot either (it's sloppily done) But it was either this nonsense or... angst, lol. Something to make up for the lack of update for my other fic anyway, I'm very tired lately.
OOCness (or you could just assume that Aichan's somewhat drunk, lol)
It all started with presents.
Takahashi Ai and Niigaki Risa were seated together on fuzzy carpet in the latter’s bedroom with boxes, wrapping paper, gifts and a pile of detached price tags surrounding them. They were only in their first hour of preparing for the annual Christmas Eve party tomorrow. They had both brought over the presents they bought individually to help each other in the wrapping. It was a cold night given the season they were experiencing currently. They were both wrapped to the toes just to keep warm, but constant exchange of words kept their mind off the chill.
“What did you get Sayu?” Ai asked while searching through the bags.
“Hair bands!” Risa grinned while secretly proud of her choice. She was sure that the narcissist could never have too many hair bands.
“You mean this?” The elder pulled out a similar item and examined it carefully, and very curiously. She was very much amused by what she found.
“No, not that! I meant hair ties. That’s just a free gift that came with one of these stuff I bought.” She frowned feeling embarrassed at the sight of object.
“Not bad,” Ai put on the item on her head playfully and nodded in approval, “Santa hats were getting old anyway.” She flicked the ornament hanging off the band and smirked.
“Risa, look. This is really convenient!” She crawled over to her friend and inched close to the younger’s face with a silly grin. “Heh, mistletoe.”
“Aichan!” Risa backed away, completely surprised by how close they were suddenly when she had turned her head to face the elder. She was also now slightly colored in the face. “Mistletoe? So what?” She responded, trying to keep her cool.
“You’re supposed to give me a kiss.” Ai pouted, the mistletoe attached to a spring on the hair band she wore bounced freely above her forehead.
“W-Wha? No way, that’s not counted!” Risa argued, backing further up against the dresser and almost ready to bolt if her best friend dared to try anything. She cursed that she didn’t have a Sayu-shield this time to save herself from the attacks of attempted kisses.
“But a mistletoe is still a mistletoe! So come oooooooon~” Ai whined, scooting close to her long time friend with big puppy dog eyes. “Just one!”
“Nooo… go away!” Risa jumped to her feet and ran to another corner of the room. Following suit, Ai started to chase after her despite the difficulty in running about within a crowded small room.
“Fine, I’ll do it then.” Ai laughed out loud, aiming her portable mistletoe at her sub-leader and puckered up her lips.
“You’ll never have your way!” The younger of the two declared and jumped up on the bed when her best friend attempted to pounce on her but fell forward instead onto the soft mattress.
“Baaaaaka…” Ai smirked, already having her victim cornered at the end of the bed without even having to try. She quickly got on her feet and advanced towards Risa, the wobbling bed making it dangerous to move about quickly.
“Shit…” Not the best thing to say, but what else could the young idol do at this point of time. Her body stiffened, and she grew nervous.
“Hah, got you!” Ai had her best friend against the wall, hands pinned to both sides to prevent her ‘prey’ from escaping again.
What was supposed to be an innocent friendly joke turned different when Ai spent a good five seconds to observe the prey she had finally caught. Those lips pressed together stubbornly seemed more tempting than the cheeks she had initially planned to land a small one on. She had never really kissed anyone before, so she wondered how it’d be like.
Was it even right to kiss her best friend like that- on the lips? The thought didn’t cross her mind at all. She felt like being impulsive for the moment, and she only had those 5 seconds that felt like half an hour to decide what to do.
On Risa’s end, 5 seconds too felt like a very long time. Foolishly thinking that it was safe, she relaxed her mouth and peeked open an eye. What she never expected was a pair of lips crashing against her own at that instant. Both eyes flew open at the touch. Caught unaware, Risa immediately became dazed. However, she pushed away immediately when she felt movement from the elder’s lip.
“You… That… oh my god.” Risa blinked, dumbfounded at what had just happened. She quietly sank down to her bed, knees joined together while her arms fell limply to her sides. Her heart was beating madly, and yet just seconds ago it was actually fluttering inside. She felt relieved and happy and then confused, utterly confused.
Also blinking to clear the fog in her head, Ai backed up a little only to fall back on the bed. She yelped at the fall with a hilarious expression, causing her best friend to giggle at the little incident. Both girls were still surprised by what one did and what the other felt, but the laugh managed to break the ice.
“Aichan? Why did you…” Risa started, touching her own lips and blushing harder.
“Uhm… Your lips made me do it?” Ai replied while rolling her eyes up to look at the ceiling rather than her friend.
“My… That’s ridiculous!” The younger frowned, unsatisfied with the answer.
“I’m sorry!! I didn’t mean to... but that’s the truth. Mmmm… Yeah, I swear that’s how it is.”
“So unconvincing,” Risa rolled her eyes at the last part. “But…does that mean that you… felt nothing?”
“Felt? Well… I wasn’t sure.” Ai rubbed the back of her neck, diverting her eyes to the edge of the bed.
“What do you mean you’re not sure?! How can you-“ Risa leaned forward as she spoke, irritated and for some reason mad at this subtle insensitivity.
“Wait, wait! Let me explain. You moved away too fast before I even realized I felt anything.”
“What kind of lame excuse is that?!”
“The honest kind? Maybe if I kissed you again for a longer time, I can give you a proper answer.” Ai placed a finger to her chin in genuine thought.
“You sneaky little…” Risa was ready to toss her pillow towards the absentminded girl, and forcefully too, just for good measure.
Sensing danger, the young leader shielded herself with her arms. Peaking through the gap between her arms, she looked at her best friend pleadingly, “Why not?! We both want to know the answer, right? I promise! One more just to make sure.”
Was it right or wrong to say that this woman’s mind work in a really strange but effective way? Whatever the gears were in the other’s head, Risa didn’t want to know. She sighed and gave in. What’s done was done anyway. It wouldn’t make a difference if done again, if there really was nothing between them… or was there? She was desperate to know as well.
“Fine, But I’m kicking you out of the room if you give me another dumb answer.”
“It’s your room, your rules.” Ai shrugged and got on all fours. She crawled towards the other until her hands were placed beside her thighs.
Time slowed down to them and Risa carefully removed the stupid headpiece that started everything from Ai’s hair since the hanging mistletoe was getting in the way. It felt like an extremely delicate and irresistible moment after that. Emotionally prepared, the familiar pair of lips landed right on the younger’s own. It was warm, soft but so very awkward.
At first just a chaste kiss, it quickly grew into something more when lips starting to move against each other. Then, it got competitive with the addition of tongues. Despite all that, it was still a very clumsy kiss on every level. But who cares, no one’s watching anyway.
Kisses trailing from the lip to the jaw line and finally to the neck prompted the hands to start going astray. But they never did go very far after that when the initiator was pushed away again.
“O-oi!” A protest was made between pants and deep breaths. “You’re getting carried away…”
“I had to make sure what I’m feeling in my stomach isn’t hunger.” Ai smiled, unashamed of her absurd excuse.
“That has nothing to do with anything!” Risa frowned and crossed her arms, looking away from the woman that stole kisses through mind games.
Sighing at the acknowledgement of how she’s running out of reasonable excuses, Ai leaned forward again to hug her friend, with some words she had promised to say. And a hug always works when someone’s upset, but she wasn’t so confident about it this time. Again on impulse, she felt this hug was important in a way that needed no reason.
“Promise we’re still friends if I told you how I felt?” She whispered into the other’s ear and received a hesitant nod. “Just so you know, I’m not going to say ‘I love you’ or anything mushy like that.” She started, only to hear a hitching sound and the muscles in the other's body tensing with disappointment. Afraid that Risa would violently try to break free, she tightened the hug.
“Let go…”
“You know, if I said those three words so easily, then it’ll be meaningless.” Ai ignored and continued to speak in a whisper, her eyes focused on her best friend’s hair. What made it annoying was the way she spoke. It was more matter-of-fact than it was emotional. “So each time I would say it, it’s like… how should I put this, I feel that I would love you less each time I say those three words…”
“You really love… Me?“ Risa froze and stopped wanting to struggle and run away. She now felt a heavy weight being lifted from her chest, but it could still be just a misunderstanding on her part, after all, nothing ever made sense with the other. But those words touched her deeply and she could feel her eyes burn a little.
“I would be unfair if I said it just to make you happy because sometimes I might not actually mean it, and I don’t want to do that to someone special to me… and-”
“I get it already!” She sniffed. It wasn’t as great as a dream coming true, but she felt happy even if the confession was about as weird as how the woman would just go into a talk on Japan History. At least this time, it had something to do about the both of them rather than some man and his many wives that Risa honestly don’t care about. “Is there anything else you want to say?” She pulled away and waited hopefully.
“Uhm.. Oh! Merry Christmas!” Ai smiled innocently and greeted cheerfully.
“… Idiot!” Risa cried out and leaned in to kiss her best friend senseless, a third for the sake for revenge for the earlier displays, another because Ai was being dumb on purpose and obviously stole those lines from some movie or another (at least she stole the right lines) and the last third could be cut down to tenths for all the little reasons Risa is not obliged to mention.
But, of all things she had wanted to hear and what the other could’ve said, she least expected this, especially when Christmas was technically still 2 days away.

Santa knows all.
Huddled against the wall on her couch, Rika held her knees close to her chest in a state of being half asleep and yet still struggling to stay awake. There is a nagging feeling in her chest, as though she is waiting for someone or something to show up, but she had no clue as to what she’s torturing herself for. She finally couldn’t keep it in any longer and yawned a great yawn.
It was half an hour before midnight, before Christmas would arrive and she wondered why she was alone on such a meaningful night. She looked at the Christmas tree she had set up with her sister just last week. The ever changing lights were very hypnotizing from her point of view and that star right at the peak made her sigh.
There had always been this desire to want that star since she was a child, and she would have it of course, when Christmas was over and when the tree would be stored back into the attic or some other place her father could find. They would let her keep it, because she is their precious daughter. But there wasn’t any point to holding such a pretty ornament when the season’s already over. The star never stayed in her possession for long as there was always a need to keep it in a safer place where it wouldn’t be defaced and would look as perfect as always for next Christmas.
Rika’s eyelids grew heavy and the silence of the room was no difference from a lullaby. Just as her head was about to fall forward, she heard shuffling and struggling from outside her window, which brought her out of her semiconscious state.
What was that?
She slapped herself awake on the cheeks and crept towards her window carefully to peek over the edge.
It had been snowing that night, why hadn’t she noticed? Realizing how a thin layer of snow now surrounded her home, she thought maybe it was just that that fell onto her roof and was making all that noise. But there it was again, echoing from just behind her in the living room.
“Uhm… Who’s there?” It came out as a squeak. She took the closest offensive object she could find – a tennis racket and walked towards where was lounging at just minutes ago. There was a lump of red in front of her couch, bent over in search of something in his or her equally red bag. Rika raised an eyebrow at the figure, was it a robber or some weirdo? Unthreatened by this strange sight, she lowered her weapon.
“Ah ha! Found it!” The figure threw their hand up into the air in triumph with a small box held within.
“Ah!” Rika screamed at the outburst and lifted her racket again.
The figure immediately turned around at the exclamation. Two pair of eye’s were wide opened in surprised, but seeing who they were facing, both relaxed and smiled.
“Where did you come from?” Rika dropped her racket before she started to advance towards the person. She recognized the other even with the ridiculous outfit the other wore.
“A crack in the wall, maybe the pipes, hmm…” The other thought carefully, pulling at their fake beard. “Oh, you said WHERE. In a far away cold country.”
“No, seriously, how did you get in?” Rika was growing impatient with the help of her sleepiness. She sat back down on her couch and yawned without taking her eyes off the other donned in red.
“If I told you, then there’s no magic to all this.” The person in red sat down beside Rika and smiled widely, although a little mysteriously.
“Yocchan, you’re being weird tonight.”
“Weird?” Yoshizawa shook her head, “I’m hurt, after coming all this way to deliver your present and you call me weird…”
“Present? You’re Santa now, huh?” Rika was growing sleepier by the second and she leaned down on her friend’s shoulder unconsciously.
“Isn’t the outfit obvious enough?” Yoshizawa wondered out loud, rubbing the missing huge belly under the red velvet.
“The beard is just… silly.” The older woman commented between yawns.
“I’m leaving if you’re just going to keep criticizing my fashion sense.” The grandfather clock in the house began to chime at the struck of 12. It reminded both of them of what day it finally is.
“No… don’t go,” Rika struggled even more to stay awake. She tugged at ‘Santa’s’ sleeves in attempt to keep the other from leaving. “I’m really happy that you came even if you did break into my house illegally…”
“You need a chimney, milk and cookies.” Came a respond that made Rika giggle.
“I’ll remember next year. There’s a present for me right?” Rika remembered as she turned inwards to cuddle against the outfit’s material comfortably. It was warm and better than her blanket.
“That’s right! Santa always comes with presents.” She opened her palm that had been holding on to a mini gift box all this time. She removed the lid and pulled out the accessory from inside.
“Yocchan!” Rika suddenly sat up when the object was held in front of her, “This is…”
“You wanted a star, didn’t you? It’s small but it’s yours to keep, and not just for tonight, or the holiday. Nobody would take it away from you.” Yoshizawa smiled softly and moved in to hug her friend from behind, pulling her in close.
“But how did you know?” Rika asked, touching the present with one finger and tracing its shape. She unconsciously leaned into the hug and wondered if what the other said had another meaning.
“Santa knows everything.” The other grinned widely.
“Then does she know what I’m thinking right now?”
“Yes.” Yoshizawa replied confidently and took the present from Rika’s palms. She had the older woman lift up her hair so that she could the gift on for her. Carefully, she closed the latch of the necklace and rested her chin on the other’s shoulder to take a look at it. “It looks really nice on you.”
“Thank you.” Rika sounded touched and her voice was quivering. She felt something wet trailing down her face.
”Did I do something wrong? Why are you crying?” The woman in red turned her friend around to check on her as well as wipe away the tears staining her lovely face.
“It’s just,” Rika quickly sniffed and wiped away the drying tears from her face, “I’ve been alone all night thinking that I’d just sleep Christmas away and then you show up and I got this…” She lifted the star symbol made of white gold from around her neck, “I don’t know if I should believe it because somehow I feel like I’m only dream-“
Yoshizawa suddenly frowned and swiftly, she planted a long chaste kiss on Rika to shut her up. After an eternity, she broke the kiss to breath. The other was pretty much dazed.
“Everything around you could be a dream,” Completely in control of the situation, she placed both hands on Rika’s shoulders. “But please don’t cry, because Santa’s here and that’s for real. Besides, I can pinch you if you really want proof.” She grinned and rubbed her finger and thumb together.
“Yocchan!” Rika scolded between sniffing and laughing. One thing she really can never believe was how the other can insert something that completely ruins the mood without feeling remorse. Regardless, she felt her heart flutter and she really wanted to feel the reality of this ‘Santa’. Without saying any more, she fell forward into a hug, resting quietly on the athletic chest.
“Merry Christmas, Rika-chan.” Yoshizawa Hitomi removed her beard and placed a soft kiss on her friend’s forehead. Rika closed her eyes to receive it, and she never did opened them again as she falls into a deep sleep finally giving in to how tired she was. She remembered to take note of how comfortable it was to be sleeping in the other woman’s arms. She could forgo her bed for this any day.
She didn’t wake up again until the next morning when the loud honking of a truck from outside jolted her out of slumber. She sat upright instantly in shock and didn’t calm down until she notices a blanket over her.
Was it really just her fantasy that happened last night?
She got out of the couch and was about to head for the bathroom when something fell from her lap. It was a small gift box and she wondered what it was doing in her possession. Suddenly she remembered the necklace and quickly felt around her neck, it was still there. Rika was starting to believe, but what bothered her was the missing person that made last night possible.
She carefully opened the box and found a key and a piece of paper folded inside. As she read the note, a smile crept up to her face.
HO HO HO! Once again, Merry Christmas Rika-chan!
I had to leave to deliver more presents to hopeful children.
Indefinitely yours,
Santa Yoshizawa ★
PS: I borrowed the key from your sister.

Been riding the train lately.
It's a little hard to write this :/ but enjoy!
Train Ride
Most of the passengers lifted their tired heads at the ring of the bell, and the followed announcement of the next stop. Some readied themselves by gathering their belongings or rising from their seat, and to those that were not intending to alight, they lowered their heads again.
It was a slow, peaceful journey within the cabin. Different from the sardine packed rides that most evenings bring. And some would also notice how spacious the train actually was, or clean even. And also how bright it really was, and quiet without the massive crowd. It was almost surreal, in a way.
Her name was Tanaka Reina; she repeated in her mind as she read the kanji printed on her schedule of the month. She held the work folder close to her like a buoy.
She was a Morning Musume- the ideal Musume, as her producer had once stated.
She was an idol; a celebrity, and she was taking a public train home.
Not that she had expected something more luxurious that was worthy of a famous figure. Reina wasn’t a materialistic girl like that.
She had always taken the train home as a child and into her early teenage years, and almost every other day after that. It simply was that, being in a half empty train cabin was something new to her given the busy life people in Tokyo frequently had.
She liked this new experience.
There were times when Reina was fond of observing people, especially from the higher levels of the arenas where Morning Musume or Hello! Project would have their concert tours at. Standing behind clear glass to watch the audience wait patiently for admittance. It was fun, to see the antics that fans can some up with while they fill up their time. She had once wanted to join them, wishing that she was just another ordinary girl.
But of course she did like her current status as an idol, and very much too. Reina wouldn’t exchange it for anything else in the world.
Right now in the train, there weren’t any interesting acts to watch, nor can she burst out into a song under the pretense of rehearsal. She felt nothing more than being incredibly bored. Perhaps she could practice the art of observation. Reina perked up at the idea and turned her head to the side to find a subject.
It was only then that she realized how she wasn’t alone to begin with.
She was in fact wedged between an elderly woman and to the right, the leader of Morning Musume.
Takahashi Ai was her name, and she didn’t need a tag to know that. They had earlier plan to travel back together, because it was along the way.
Her leader, a woman with an extraordinary presence was seated comfortably beside Reina with her eyes closed. Her chestnut hair having grown slightly longer than it was after that (rather surprising) change in length was now resting gently on her bare shoulders. The calm unmoving expression on her was somewhat alluring.
Reina noticed the gloss on her lips, and the fading makeup around her cheeks. The apparently sleeping form of Ai was mesmerizing, as it is captivating when the woman was putting in a hundred and fifty percent of her effort when on stage.
Even if doused in sweat, or bothered by the arena’s heat, or even if she had a troubled day, Ai was always working hard. For the sake of being an idol with a contract, for the sake of the group she was dedicated to, or amazingly even, for herself.
But Ai wasn’t the ideal idol that Tsunku had planned of. She did not even have an amusing character. Neither does she make good first impressions at times; at least that’s what Reina thought.
Ai was, to say the least, ordinary.
How was it that this woman could play her role so well? It wasn’t simply talent. Reina wanted to know how it was possible. She could push twice as much of an effort into her performances, but it’ll always differ from her leader’s.
She blinked suddenly when she noticed a smile creeping onto the older woman’s face. Every movement and change from Ai intrigued Reina now.
Why was she smiling?
What is she thinking of?
Reina stared long and hard at the unknowing woman, shifting her eyes about as though to scan the other from head to toe.
She noticed white wires dangling beside Ai’s parka, but that doesn’t explain anything other than telling her that her leader was listening to an mp3.
She looked further down; pass the bulky pocket of the outerwear and to the slender feminine hands of Ai. Her fingers were tapping against the fabric of her coat in rhythm.
Does her leader like the particular song she’s listening to?
Reina was as curious as a cat now. She wanted to know what song it was as well.
Without thinking, she leaned over Ai to reached for her earpiece on the other side of her head.
Feeling the sudden weight on her lap, Ai jerked up in surprise and snapped her eyes open. She could see skin as well as smell the sweet fragrance of a brandless perfume. She recognized the curls that were bouncing in front of her, and the glitter that stuck to alternate strands of brown hair.
She had wanted to call out for the girl only to refrain herself when Reina had finally gotten off her. As curious as she was, Ai remained observant on the young idol with half opened eyes. She felt the wire connecting to her earpiece shift and came to conclusion.
Reina had successfully pulled the right earpiece off from Ai’s ear without asking and like an excited kid, she quickly places it securely into her own ear.
Amused by the child-like behavior of her friend, Ai widened her smile and closed her eyes again, hoping that Reina might like the song she was listening to.
It took awhile for her to adjust to the music, but Reina was sure that the song was unknown to her. Making sure that the earpiece was still in her ear, she took a quick glance at Ai’s relaxed position and proceeded to do the same.
She gently closes her eyes and listens to the lyrics of the song carefully.
Is this how it is like to be like Takahashi Ai?
Even if to just listen to the same music, to sit in the same position, to breath in the same pace, is it the same?
It might be, but there was still something different that Reina couldn’t pinpoint. To be like Ai was nothing from being ordinary, even if to mimic something so mundane and simple as what she had just done.
The bell rings again, announcing a new station. As usual, passengers eagerly get ready to alight. The shuffling of feet was apparent, showing that quite a number of passengers were now waiting for their stop.
But to the girls connected by a mere white wire, shut away from the noises of the world, that stop never did seem to arrive.

Awwwwwww...:)

The number of replies make me sad  lol, kidding. Better than nothing, no?
Anyway, been having blocks recently so I am here to ask for help.
Right now, I'd be willing to write any pairings in any situation, so suggest away.
Currently working on an IshiYoshi one though. Would prefer not to have to do the same pairing more than once until it's actually done. :)
-
Maki/Reina or Maki/Nacchi or Maki/Shiba or Maki/Miki... I'd be really really stoked with either the first or the last though :D
I love your one shots especially TakaGaki moments
-
OMG I LOVED THE ISHIYOSHI! MADE Me NEARLY CRY! (scratch the nearly ;) But sadly I have no time to comment on the other new one as my mom is currently dragging the computer chair away from the desk XD Sorry, I will read it asap though, and comment on that one too, but for now the ishiyoshi is so cuuuuute, and I love Yoshi more now! Im probably gonna have dreams about this, buut maybe me instead of one of those :) jks, jks..... Hey, you should write a story about how Miki spent her Chrissy, maybe with Aya, maybe not...... Anyway, thanx for updating and GJ!
-
Maybe I'll take up writing Miki for this christmas, lol.
As for the suggested pairings before of Maki/someone =x I'll write it, eventually. You'll see :P
-
Oooh, I just read the train one! It was awesome! I loved it, it was so sweet.. I like how you left like, everything to the imagination. Slight hints of Takanaka and the whole sweet contentment in merely being in each others presence which most other stories lack, and how Reina realises that she doesn't really want to be like Ai, just with Ai, and the whole starting out saying that Ai looks normal and how to Reina she is evevrything but normal.............. So sweeet :'( Bravo! Bravo!

Aichan?
“
yay takagaki :cow: i loved it especially this part that sneaky little devil.... i approve :mon thumb:

Implied pairings, but I like Sayu more so she gets the lead here :D
The turtle to the hare.
“How’s this?”
“Mmm, pink doesn’t fit you that well.”
Her honesty made the girl before her frown in disappointment. After watching the other spin round after rounds in hopes of convincing herself into liking the dress, it just wasn’t possible. Pink wasn’t the girl’s color, or perhaps the girl just wasn’t meant for pink. Either way, Kamei Eri needed a different outfit, and Sayumi wasn’t too ready to help.
“Just wear something normal, like what you always wear during outings.”
“But that’s normal! I want to impress. Today’s important!”
“Of course it is.” Sayumi’s voice was dipped in enough sarcasm to drown the world. She rolled her eyes and returned to her opened wardrobe in search of something fitting, and at the same time taking her own sweet time to do it.
Eri had been invited to lunch, hence the clothes fitting that had started since an unholy hour of the morning. Normally the girl wouldn’t spend this much time on clothes, but naturally, it made sense. After all, she was invited by none other than the other half of GAKIKAME, the <i>‘Gaki’</i>. Sayumi scoffed at the thought.
“Have you caught a cold, Sayu?”
“What? Oh, no. It was just dusty in here.”
She should’ve scoffed with more discreet. Whatever. Sayumi always knew there was something between those two. The closeness irked her no less. Risa has her Ai-chan, Sayumi thought. So why take Eri away from her? Of course, there was always Reina to pester if she needed friendship, but that wasn’t the case. Eri was the turtle to the bunny (Hares weren’t as cute), and brats wouldn’t treat a poor gullible turtle well! Sayumi felt sorry for her best friend, believing that Risa would break her heart someday. But really, it was just jealousy eating into her. Or is it? Images of Risa and Ai started popping into her head.
“Sayu, have you found anything yet? Were you even doing anything?!”
Eri had been towering over Sayumi for some time, watching the girl below stare into the darkness of her closet while resting her arms on a pile of t-shirts. Having enough of waiting, she proceeded to interrupt the younger girl.
“I was looking for your outfit, what does it look like I’m doing?”
“Uhm, falling asleep on your clothes?”
“Argh! You’re so picky! Here!”
Pretending to be irritated, Sayumi picked something out of random and flung it at her friend. She had hoped it was something ugly that would waste more of Eri's time, but man, was she horribly wrong. It was a white one piece with floral patterned embroidery by its’ hem.
“Sayu! This is great! Thank you!”
Eri caught the dress and had already started holding the one piece up to her chest while spinning around before the full-sized mirror, waving the outfit about as if she was dancing with it. The jealous girl had to admit, even if she just held it before her, the dress did suit the other quite well. It was suitable for the weather and made her best friend look completely innocent, beautiful even.
‘Well, shit’, she thought in the end of it all. So much for wanting to delay Eri’s ‘date’.
“Why didn't you show me this early?” Eri spun around and looked at Sayumi with mock anger. A shrug of the shoulder was all that the narcissistic idol could do. She never knew the dress existed in the first place, and she’s beginning to hate its existent now.
“Guess I for-…” Everything prompted to shut down immediately when Eri started to strip herself of the undesired pink dress in front of her best friend. As shy as the girl was, changing in front of her friends was an exception. What was there to hide anyway? Sayumi on the other hand was seated on the carpeted floor watching with her mouth hanging open.
She wanted to go up to Eri and touch her, hold her, and keep her from leaving the room. She wanted to push her down against something, anything, and ravage her. And when they would next open their eyes, Sayumi hoped that Eri would’ve come to her senses and cancels that date she had which was already over by then anyway. And finally, Sayumi wished she could do these.
But she was Michishige Sayumi. She wasn’t weak, or blatantly desperate. She was cunning, smart, pure evil behind the shamelessly cute mask. She can’t possibly admit that she wants to beg for her best friend to be hers alone. No, of course not! In fact, she wanted Eri to come to her instead, willingly too.
When she next blinked, Eri was already dressed.
“Hey, how is this? I think it’s lovely.”
The girl was delighted as she observed her entire self through the mirror. Blushing at how pretty she felt in the dress as well as at the body contact she felt suddenly. Sayumi had appeared from behind without a word and had her arms wrapped around her best friend. One arm snaking down from Eri’s shoulders and the other came from under the arms and around the other’s waist. Full of pretense, Sayumi touched the strap of the one piece delicately and hummed with empty thoughts. Her other hand started to fiddle at the small folds around the waistline.
“It looks good, feels comfy too!” <i>Ah, you feel nice...</i>
“I’m sure Gaki-san would like it.” <i>I hope she doesn’t.</i>
“Yup. It’s lovely.”
Sayumi stopped with her light frisking and backed away, reluctantly letting go of her best fiend. Behind her cuteness, and behind the shrewdness, was a new part of her that truly wishes for Eri’s happiness, and nothing satisfies her more than that. Knowing Eri, the girl would smile the brightest if she were punctual for her date.
“You’ll be late if you keep ogling at yourself in the mirror, you know that?”
“I’m not ogling at myself!”
“Whatever. Now get going before Gaki-san thinks you stood her up.”
“She wouldn’t do that!”
Sayumi gave a face and shrugged, forcing a laugh when she saw Eri stumble over the clothes strewn over the floor in an attempt to rush to the door. The poor girl fell for the threat.
“Guess it’s time to say bye…” The younger idol mumbled, when a thought hit her. “Oh, wait! Eririn!”
Grabbing something from the closet, Sayumi rushed after the girl and managed to catch her in time.
”It’ll be cold if you’re going to stay out for too long. Here, wear this.”
“Ooh, you’re so thoughtful. Thanks!”
Helping Eri put in the denim jacket, Sayumi finally waved goodbye to her friend and locked the door behind her after entering her house again. The jacket was a good idea, she mused to herself. She wouldn’t want Risa to stare at Eri’s bare arms like what she herself did earlier after all. It’ll be her loss to benefit her sub-leader. Smiling with a moment’s worth of satisfaction, Sayumi returned back to her room to clean the mess that she did not make.

Awww, cute! Sayu is such a good friend. She wants Eririn to be happy, rather than make herself happy. And her being jealous of Gaki is hella funny. The cunning and pure evil thing is awesome!!! :wahaha:
-
Lol, what a cute one-shot... I love evil Sayu, the way I was reading (as in the 'tone') her thoughts cracked me up so much
It never fails to amuse me how oblivious Eri is either XD I hope Gaki only invited her as a friend and not as a proper date... Must think of Ai (and Sayu) after all ;)
Oh btw, you still owe me a Maki fic :P
-
Oh yes..that one was a little hard to do XD But it'll come when it comes. I'm a little slow (make that extremely) with updating nowadays.
Maybe there'll be an Ai-version to this date thing too...
-
evil bunny =
I like how sayu wins a little in the end but still..poor Sayu...I bet Ai chan was feeling the same way! Ai chan and Sayu should go out with each other right now! The best way to battle jealousy is with more jealousy after all =D
-
Aww jealous Sayu :D Its cute seeing Eri so flustered over a date with the Gaki
However *crosses fingers for takagaki* XD Its pretty obvious what my pairing preferences are :P
-
Ehhh how many of the awesomeness have I missed? *asks dumbly* Damnit!! A lot!! On the bright side, I get a bigger portion to read at one go?? Lol.
Well, well, Sayu has been raising up my ranks recently so this is a nice fic to read. It's incredibly funny too. I think you've improved. Not that you're weren't good before. But now, WOAH. I think I need to print this out and admire when the computer is off XD
-
awww sayu
... ai pov!!! that would be awesome!!!
-
Well, no Ai-POV, no Maki/someone this time.. but I hope this 3 in 1 makes up for it
Ai-pov for GakiKame's date will come soon enough, and I'm hoping to include Maki/someone in a series fic instead :D
So, anyway... 3 random short shorts :) Prompts are such block breakers :P
1. Beginnings.
“Could we start from the beginning?”
The coach’s displeased clapping startled her and broke her concentration. Suddenly losing her balance, she tripped over her own feet and was expecting to meet the tiled floor face first. But! Well… her face did meet something, but it wasn’t hard. It was actually quite soft! She realized that she had fallen against another body with arms gripping onto her own.
“Is Niigaki alright?” The coach called from the front of the room after witnessing the unfortunate fall.
“I think she sprained her ankle!”
“But Ai-chan, I didn’t…” Risa whispered to her friend, but was interrupted by the coach again.
“Why don’t you help her to the side first. Everyone else, from the beginning!”
“Ai-chan?” Risa called out of curiosity as Ai held her perfectly fine body close to her. “But I’m alright!”
“Ahh... Well, I didn’t feel like slacking alone.” Her best friend grinned and continued walking as snail pace.
2. Ends.
“Let’s put an end to this.” Ai spoke, cold and determined.
“You can’t do that!” Risa jerked up, anxiety in her eyes.
No, it would not just end like this. It couldn’t. Her thoughts were broken to pieces when the slamming of the table brought her back to earth.
”Ai-chan… No fair…”
“I’m sorry.”
“You’re so heartless…”
“All is fair in love and war, my dear.”
“Damn you…” Risa grumbled and toss her hand of poker cards on the table before storming away. It was already their 20th round but Ai was still relentless to letting her girlfriend win a bloody card game, not even once.
3. Not Enough.
The weather had gone chilly in the past few days, and a lot worse during the nights. And as if the cold wasn’t tough enough to battle, the girls had long nights ahead of them full of struggles and domination.
“Ai-chan! I’m trying to sleep here!”
“I know~ but I’m cold.” Ai tugged at the blanket towards her again, rolling Risa out from under the covers to wrap herself up like a sushi roll.
“Yeah, as if I’m not.” Risa pulled violently at the edges of the blanket, flipping Ai over.
“Don’t hog the blanket! There isn’t enough for me.”
“There isn’t enough for any of us.” Risa spoke matter-of-factly.
“Gaki-chan~” Ai whined, but her best friend only kept quiet, snoring quietly. “Fine, have it your way.”
After 5 minutes of silence and what she hoped to be peace that would last for the next 10 hours or so, Risa sadly felt movement from behind her. She held on to the edge of her blanket tightly just incase another tug-o-war were to happen again. As expected, she felt the other end of the blanket to be lifted up and she tensed only to relax again when she felt arms wrapped around her stomach, one leg thrown over her own and heat brushing against the crook of her neck from behind.
Smiling like an idiot, she closed her eyes again. The two girls were both feeling warm and fuzzy right now, which was more than enough.

Oh..i like the last one..not enough!! XD
-
Awww, so much cute TakaGakiness... Glad you got your brain switched back to that mode (from GakiKame), we always need more of them and I know you agree ;)
Glad you haven't forgot about my Maki fic, and I'll stop bugging you about it seeing you have plans :P
Back to these ones, I can imagine Ai being pretty much to oblivious to how she should let her gf win a game, as well as being too competitive, but Gaki will forgive her each time!
The 3rd one was the cutest, felt like "the night after THAT poker stad off"
-
Those were three great short shorts  *sings* who likes short shorts? We like short shorts!
I think I liked the last one the best too.
Write more!
-
OMG!!!! Takagaki!!! So cuteeee! Love it!!!! I think I've gone crazy!!!!
The last one is the cutest but the second really got me! XD
-
second one was my favorite i laughed so hard... but the third
-
so cute  I like how Ai chan knows how to win in all 3 stories~ warm and fuzzy :shy1:
-
Thank you all for liking it XD
I didn't realize that Aichan was winning in all three fics until Sukoshi mentioned it though XD That's cool.
I'd initially wanted to do a 50 takagaki short shot, but... knowing me, that'll probably take 50 years :P Still, I'll try to do more short shots and update in bulk! Then maybe I can rename this to "When Takagaki attacks" lol...
Well, off to do Ai's POV~

^
I'd say that Risa's doing quite well in the 3rd one as well. 8)
“Ai-chan?” Risa called out of curiosity as Ai held her perfectly fine body close to her. “But I’m alright!”
“Ahh... Well, I didn’t feel like slacking alone.” Her best friend grinned and continued walking as snail pace.
Risa = :dunno:
Aichan = :mon misch:
JFC = :thumbsup
“You’re so heartless…”
“All is fair in love and war, my dear.”
“Damn you…” Risa grumbled and toss her hand of poker cards on the table before storming away. It was already their 20th round but Ai was still relentless to letting her girlfriend win a bloody card game, not even once.
Well, now that they've gotten the "war" part out of the way...time for... ;D
Hey, everyone knows that body heat is a perfectly natural way to combat the cold. O0

Beginnings
I liked this one the best. For some reason I can picture that really happening and it's quite funny with Ai-chan crushing Gaki during PE XD
Ends
At first I thought Ai was going to break up with Risa. Then I went "ooohhhhhhhhhh" Lol. Great one there letting readers think otherwise.
Not Enough
When they fight over the blanket like that they are like an old couple  So very Cute
