I don't get the the full article either, but I mean that the song is about Mongolians and not about the food. I can't imagine a full cover of the "Dschingis Khan" song... I can't imagine Berryz singing like that... but it seems to be somewhat related to Mongolians.
Where are the dudes from btw.? A stage play or TV show ? The articles says something but yeah...

16th can still be a good song , no indication that 16th sucks .. for now atleast ..
but to think by march Jingisukan gonna be a 2months old song(so to speak) and the competition of others hp release with in that small period of time .. i felt as if hp not even giving 16th a fighting chance pitting them with the others realease under such circumstances

That's the real secret of the FORCES OF GOOD that are workin' behind us !
I've listened to the original song quite a lot with fun & laugh, of course.
Not very far from the genki touch' like the old opening of Toei's anime... or some tokusatsu's opening.
And that's the point : "Berryz Kamen" was and is wonderful.
And NOW, the real cover song of this old funky disco song by our little Berryz.
Of course, I do hope that genuine catchy songs will be written during 2008 (like Special generation)... but, honestly, I prefer Jingisukan than Tsukiatterunoni. :P

Yeah it's not like they make covers everytime, isn't it the first one for Berryz? I don't know if they covered a Japanese song so far since I hardly know any... (excluding H!P covers). Gotta enjoy this one while waiting a bunch of months for a new single.
It's prolly difficult if you already don't like the original song tho ^^;
Also I don't think it was Tsunku's initial idea to cover Dschingis Khan to have more time for other groups, I rather think someone asked him if a group (or Berryz) can make the theme song for that play and maybe they even asked him to cover this song or if they didn't then it's still a good choice imo regarding the fact that it's funky and suits to a "Mongolian" play. My impression about the original song is that it was - or even still is - well known in Japan and somewhat popular but I don't know if it's really like that.
Hopefully this will result in even better sales.

Ha, sorry, It's hard to keep up to date with everything and I'm not a huge Berryz fan anyway (I mean, I like their songs but I'm not obsessed etc.). I couldn't even tell you all their names for example. :O :lol:

I just heard the preview. I pissed myself...seriously a little bit did come out.
It seemed obvious this would be a cover but I refused to actually believe it...I love how unecessary this is, and just can't believe that they've done this. I have to say though, I was hoping for a genuinely GOOD song so I'm pretty annoyed too. Let's face it, it will never top the original.

when I first knew that this was going to be a cover, I was shocked... when I listened to the original song, I was even more shocked, considering I liked the song, even if it was hard to imagine berryz singing it... but now that I listened to the preview, well... I must say I'm addicted to it! I can't take it off my mind... it's so cute and weird (in a good way) at the same time! I definitely want to listen to the entire version, and I reaaaaaally want to see the pv once it comes out :lol:

You're not alone. I think Kataomoi is one of their worst a-sides; if that sold, Jingisukan has to go over 50K XD

Oh man, if anyone owns this PV, it's Chinami-- she made me literally LOL like whoa, while the other girls made me crack a smile, but oh god, Chinami wins. She has the perfect personality for this kind of PV. But all the other girls did a SPECTACULAR job in this, too. I was impressed with Saki too! And Momoko's solo line near the end gave me CHILLS. Her voice was SO strong. A HUGE improvement from the last single.

i knew the original from Dschinghis Khan first... mostly the first version you hear is the better one, that's why i don't like the berryz koubou version. It's a bit funny, but it's the worsest berryz koubou single ever i think. :(

I'm really hoping for high sales but this single had very little premotion compaired to LALALA.
- LALALA was on Kouhaku, not Dsching.
- H!P website havn't even listed any media apperances for this Berryz single yet. LALA was on alot of tv shows. (Momo/Saki was on DAM Channel but no performance)
- They havn't played the whole song on Kiritsu. O__O
- LALALA was performed on both WH & H!P concerts this winter. Dsching has had no concert (although a stage performance)
- There have actually been some Magazine apperances but I don't know if it's more then usually. I know LALALA had many.
So compared to LALALA this single has had very little premonition so I won't be surprised if it doesn't sell as well, but I'm praying for it! :yep:

I really wished H!P would produce better DVDs, the picture quality of the Jingisukan SingleV looks like pure crap, almost like a webstreaming ripp. Massive edge enhancement, aliasing galore und a really horrible compression!! What a disappointment! :thumbdown: :thumbdown: :thumbdown:

Well now crappy cover is the new standard... So nothing miraculous happened - just another cover from the same cover maker - or a group of cover makers.
