From the Neowing description we get to know that both DVDs will be different. There's nothing about a possible lottery event. But it does say this:

Hopefully, it this song will be a little disco-y like Egao Yes Nude(that's my one of my fave MM songs) or something a little slow,kinda like what Kuja said, As For One Day. They really need more LinLin,junjun,risa,and eri.

no title so far? oh well canpt be helped... i wish a cool song with a good amount of Linlin, Risa and Kamei and of course a good rythm but seriously, if is a ballad then don´t ever try to make a dance version for the PV.

this one better be better than mikan. i actually like berryz better than current momusu. momusu really needs to step it up. i think berryz and c-ute did a better job than momusu at kohaku in december which is pretty bad. momusu is supposed to be the main group, but those were the old days...

Resonant Blue,.... sounds like a slow, mid-tempo song.... maybe a ballad, preferably a pop or rock ballad. but, knowing tsunku, he'll probably turn it into a bubblegum pop with rock arrangements...
the title itself gives off a image.... i'm thinking exotic blue dresses with a dark background....
anywayz, that's my opinion, well whatever it is, i'm hoping it's gonna be a great one.

The title sounds like one that would be used for one of Shimatani Hitomi's grand, exotic-sounding songs like "Falco" or "Destiny ~Taiyou no Hana~" or last year's "Shinku".
I doubt that this single will sound that way, though, just because Tsunku doesn't do that sort of thing...I can see it being in the vein of Egao Yes Nude or Kanashimi Twilight, perhaps.

Tsunku, you compose a song like these again and I respect you again. More important, I respect Morning Musume again.

I have no idea how people can tell what kind of song we're getting from the title, maybe I'm just a bit slow on the uptake but this could be any kind of song; so far I have no idea what to expect.
I'm hoping I'll like it more than Mikan anyway, which I think most of us are. I didn't hate Mikan but t wasn't the most memorable of tunes and was just a bit too generic jpop for me.

Hopefully since Eri took some of Miki's lines in the autumn concert it indicates instead of it being Ai only on lead, Eri will take lead too? *crosses fingers* I'd also like some more Reina, she has really improved, but I'd love her to use that gorgeous mature voice she used in 'Kanashimi Twilight' in the summer concert. She sounded really grown up ~ ♥

According to the Japanese Wikipedia article about audio mixing, "track down" is when the raw audio that was recorded in a 4-channel or higher tracker gets reduced to 2-channel stereo. Or at least that's what I understood. :sweatdrop:

Of course Tsunku is the one who gives lines he is the one who produces all of MM's singles. He picks who sings what in each single. Nobody knows the girls voices better than he does.

^ He doesn't have control over the management's decision on the girls. But since he is the producer, he has control over the music he produces.
If you watch past asayan episodes, you'll know that he listens to all the girls sing 1 round for the whole song, than he assigns lead/harmony/chorus and lines to each girl.
As for management, it was very clear during UFA's sole decision (without informing him) to promote Yuuko as a Enka singer that shows Tsunku is not in control over who does what or who goes into which group.
Anyway i am going OOT :)

This song better makes me jump out of the chair. He gives an album song to MKB and a cover to Viyuden, C-ute and Berryz, and then he delays Resonant Blue so he can work on it for some more time. He had all the time he wanted, so the result better tops Go Girl KNV at least. :jerk:

And between Limited A and B w/ DVD and the Regular Edition w/o DVD (assuming), what exactly would be the difference between them, the cover or is there something one edition have that the others doesn't possess?
Of course i wouldn't u guys would know since no info has been release yet, but using the typical H!P releases as reference, assuming they do the same with all singles, what would be the difference?

- most likely different content for the bonus DVD
- possibly a photo card (Mikan had photo cards with all editions (regular only first press), Onna ni Sachi Are only the SingleV)
- possibly event lottery ticket (pretty useless unless you live in Japan and buy the single(s) in the first week)
For the exact details we'll just have to wait.

Every single purchased counts as one (1) sale. Buy the 3 editions = 3 sales. All the editions have the same track listing, so for charting purpose they are considered the same.

which one is actually cheaper, CDJapan or Yesasia?
ok so i order my Regular edition on CDjapan, price @ 1000 Yen, shipping 1500 Yen, total 2500 Yen or USD$23.63.
Yesasia.com list the regular edition USD $11.49, but i don't know how much is shipping and handling though, but from my recent purchase, $1.99.
ok so why is it that YesAsia is cheaper than CDJapan?

@BigDnm01: you choose the most expensive shipping option @ CDJapan. Airmail is much cheaper than EMS and it is usually as fast if not faster than YesAsia standard shipping (if shipped to Europe or North America).

i was also planning instead of pre-order like with the regular edition and have it counted on the first day towards the charts, i would buy it a couple days after release so it would count on the other day. how does that sound?

the composition sounds like tsunku chopped up 2 or 3 songs and mixed them together, resulting in quite a lengthy song , which is very good!! -> alot of PV goodness. The melody aka the chorus is not really memorable , like renai21 for instance. BUt my fave part is already the 'ueeueee' with the transition to the chorus. i wonder how the lines are distributed, though, since i only hear ai and reina.anyway, i had to whine a bit, but at the end it's a cool song.

Wow, this song is actually pretty good. I wasn't very excited about the new single so this is a pleasant surprise. I'm also wondering about the "uooooooo"s cause they are strangely nice. According to Kamei/Gaki the dance is very cool and mature so I can't wait to see that! I am having trouble figuring out who sings "hitori no asa". Sounds like the other low voices are either Mitsui or Koharu I really can't tell though! Anyways loving Resonant!!!

UPDATE:
not that anyone would care...
but i just up and pre-order the Single V. i already pre-order the regular edition. I read on the CDjapan or somewhere else that the dvds included with Limited A and B are both different. now i don't know how different, but i would also love to own all three.
since it will release on 4/16, which falls on a Wednesday, my regular edition would be on counted on that day. I'm planning to buy Limited A on thursday, April 17th, and Limited B on Friday.
fyi, this would be the first time i buy something MoMusu (or even H!P) and that i can actually contribute to their sales count and so-called popularity polls on Oricon. This makes me really excited and happy that i can now do something for the girls, in any ways possible, even in this small way. it's makes me not feeling guilty by not contribute before. Although i just bought both the MM 10th ANN DVD and the Album+DVD. not when i would count but still...
anywayz... sorry for rambling.

u so know how i feel right now. i'm spending a under $100 (maybe..) on just this single, and it's fine. I spent around $60 total on both the Morning Musume 10th Ann. album+dvd and DVD. and it's all good.
about this song... i've been listening since this morning and is still loving it. i'm not good at describing but.... i would say it a disco-pop like, mature not child-like, fun and very danceable, so a great dance is absolutely necessary. Tsunku wasn't kidding when he said this will show a whole new Morning Musume. although i don't think it's very different compare to their eariler or even recent singles, like ONSA, Kanashimi Twilight, EYN, Do it Now. i dunno japanese or whatever the hell they're saying, but io feel like it's fun (at least they seem like having fun, serious but playful.
very different from Mikan. Although i do love Mikan and been listening to more recently. I also love this style of music, too. guess i love both.
Since this is very different from Mikan and considering how Mikan did.... This one better kick ASS! there really is no reason to for this not to have amazing sales and popularity, REALLY!

ResB so that its populartiy will greatly increase for sale purposes. but as i heard the majour concert relating to ResB is begining of may - late april

Not sure what to think yet; was really disappointed when I heard it yesterday but it seems quite cool listening to it now. As shallow as it is of me I think I ned to see the PV to fuly make up my mind as it's likely to change what I think for better or worse. The tour is definitely starting in two weeks, on 3/22. I'm positively sure - I've got tickets, haha.
I think what you're talking about is the RB single release event, which I think is in May. I'm not sure, but I believe it's one of those buy-the-single-get-event-ticket things again - the first for MM in a while (but berryz + cute have had some recently).

Listened to it more times now ...I really don't like the song :sweatdrop: Some of the vocal lines have a bit of r 'n b vibe to it which sounds annoying to my ears. That combined with the old school 90s beat and strange instrumental bridge doesn't work for me.
But hey, I liked Mikan so don't listen to me! :lol:
I hope this song does well in the charts though, Mosume needs it.. well, maybe they don't, but it wouldn't be unwelcome.

I'm maybe a bit late, but the song sounds almost too good to be true. I loved EYN and ONSA and Kanashimi but all of those seemed oddly like something was missing. But this song, it's perfection.
PV's are always a big part of liking a song to me so I'm hoping for a good one. Like everyone has said a night-time outdoors PV and some fashionable clothes would make it outstanding. Please no huge fluffy dresses, normal clothing would be great. A PV with some kind of story could work too.

Watched it... what a disappointement. The dances are really sexy, but the whole PV is just dance moves! And Koharu really stands out, and not in a good way. Girl, this ain't one of your Kirari releases, stop grinning like an idiot.
There were a COUPLE of Jun&Lin shots, and no Aika shots. Congrats Sayu for getting the "help me" line at the end, that was good.

Song turns into a snore-fest when you hear it a couple of times, PV is shit just by watching it once, but the choreography is fucking ace. If it's executed properly by the members is another story.

I would be lying if I didn't say I was slightly dissapointed. Reina looks amazing which is a big thumbs up for me, I just wanna see more of the rest of the group though. But we already could tell from the preview that the song was dominated by Reina and Ai.
Not sure about the slightly crazy dancing in some bits though.

When I first heard the radio preview I wasn't much impressed, but now after watching the PV I :heart: the song.
The dance, clothes, dark blueish color, Reina pimping = awesome XD
Only downpoint is that this is practically a two(three) girl show, the others are mainly faceless background dancers and their black outfits only add to the fade-into-anonymity effect. But I can live with it as long as it doesn't stay that way for the next singles.

Eri's dancing is sexy!!
(Besides Eri,) My eye kept focusing on Koharu~ ^___^ I actually really like this hairstyle on her. Makes her look more mature, like the opposite of Kirari stuff.
MAN Lin&Jun were basically invisible!! Aika too, but at least she was in the centre in the first shot.
Dance shot is okay with me otherwise, but the ones who dance in the back corners are bound to get ignored. So that's why I prefer having those separate close-up shots that almost every H!P PV has. T_T

I do like this PV we have, but I'm really hoping that this is just a dance shot. For such an awesome song to just have that is rather depressing. There truly better be an alternate version, or this being the alternate. I want to see more of the girls.

This is kind of what I'd been hoping they'd get to wear, nothing too flashy and looks like normal clothing, and not the bright tacky stuff from lives and whatnot. Aika looks fab! It really sucks that they focus on Reina, Ai-chan and Koharu, then give a bit of screen to Risa and Eri, vaguely show Aika and Sayu and completely forget about Junjun and Linlin D: It's such a pity too cause the outfits are really cool. And they reused the Shabondama puddle XD

I'm hoping they have multiple PVs, the hope is that maybe that's why the versions are both DVDs, but thats maybe me overwishing. It's not that I don't like the PV, I find it good enough... but lacking a bit... for one people are right, Aika, Lin, and Chun are barely ever in focus... and Sayu only has that one Help Me (which seems to be her thing now after this, doesn't it? She's 1 line yell girl!). But ya I'm hoping they do another version or at least that when this is performed live it has more focus on everyone.
I found it funny cause you an tell who the main singers are the song based on how much white they are wearing... Reina and Ai are wearing a lot and Koharu has a bit herself...lol.
Also found the camera a bit spasmatic sometimes...I'm a bit curious about the choice to do that...and also the lacking of a moving camera again... or at least different angles. I funny when I think about it cause some people thought Aruiteru was boring cause all they were doing was walking... but somehow the moving camera feels nice sometimes.
Hearing the song with agrayrainbow's subs actually helps me pick up the words... its an interesting song. It gets a pretty good score for lyrical entertainment from me.

I really, really like it but I'm disappointed at the same time. :banghead: This song and PV had so much potential but the "financial advisers" at UFA have struck again. The costumes and some of the choreography and dancing are brilliant.
And I think Ai is really talented, but I've seen so much of her that I'm really ready for her to graduate so I can finally see some other members in the spotlight (ERI, for crying out loud!). But she's the leader so I think she's going to be around for a while. Except for the whole mikitty incident, they tend to keep leaders around.
Koha stands out like woah in this PV. I think it's a good look for her and she could just drop the Kirari overpowering-cute stuff, for all I care.

That is one thing that is wrong with this song so far. Lack of 8th gen. Aika's had her few times to shine, but it seems like they just threw Jun and Lin in there to look good. Even at concerts. I know they are "exchange students," but let them participate!

Yeah, also according to the blog there are actually two different PVs for RB (like with The Manpower!!!). I assume that the other PV won't just focus on the dancing and have more close ups, etc. I think that's the version in editing.
I like the black/blue look of the PV, and the costumes. The choreography is OK but kind of jerky.

Risa, Eri, and Ai were all amazing.
I'm not amazingly enthusiastic about it because of one simple thing-- how long are they going to pretend that Junjun and Linlin aren't there?! Linlin has amazing vocals, and if they gave Junjun a chance, I think she could've shined in this PV because I think she has the capability to pull of the sexy mood they're going for in this PV AMAZINGLY well. Ai is also clearly capable of that (and she pulls it off perfectly), but god, what I wouldn't give to not just have Junjun being some blurry figure all the way in the back.
As for Risa, she's always one of the best performers in the group. I love all the heart she puts into her dancing. She looks really great. And Eri just keeps improving time after time, she's amazing to watch!
I generally liked the choreography, but, uh... I just had to laugh at Koharu at ~1:41 and on. She looks great, but I just can't take her seriously in a PV like this.

^Thank goodness. But I did like this version though, it was ok. I didn' t real like Koha's outfit in this. So that was Ai's voice around the 1:19 mark(Thinking about the youtube radio rip) :wub:: I loved it. I actually thought the voice right after hers was Eri's and not Koha's. I love Eri's look around the 2:12 mark. I would cap it but it wouldn't look good enough. Oh, and LiniLin's twist at the end :inlove:

Energetic choreography, I really like it. White shirts for the people that sings, great, they need to be recognized among the Thriller dark. Nice looks from everyone. I wish Reina would straight her hair and have it like when she joined; the curls vanish her coolness, in my opinion.
Reina-Ai tandem is ok with me, as far as it goes with this song. XXI Century's Daite! had to have leads accordingly to the difficulty of the composition. I'm glad Tsunku understood Koharu is good in her Kirari character, but not too much in her Morning Musume role, and gave her only a few lines. I'd be the happiest men in the world if those lines would have gone to Eri, by the way, having Jun and Lin doing the parts Risa and Eri currently do.

i just watch the video over and over....
First off, yes the pv does need alot of work. If those who doesn't know who MoMusu is and watch this pv, they would think that that it is a 2, maybe 3 girls group (Ai, Reina and maybe Koharu) while the rest are backup dancer, really good and sexy/cute dancers, i might add.
-When will UFA starts get it through their idiotic brains that they need to also promote the other five non-lead singers and start giving them more lines every next singles? don't they know that if or when those three members will graduate and leave the group (hopefully pursuing a H!P career) things will get worse? for the future, they really should promote and start one or more of the other 5 members in the lead so as the give them experience as leads and also for a chance to let fans and others getting used to them asap. The girls have great potential and lots of love from fans, but seeing them turn out like this hurt us and the girls themselves.
Also, think how the girl feel? Maybe since they aren't as promoted as the other girl, they think that they'll never have the lead and won't try their best or felt lonely and saddened that it'll affect their work and performance. I might be over thinking it, but please see my point. If they felt they'll never have a chance, then they probably won't bother, but if they would start giving more lines among all the members or give them important roles, they'll see a glimpse of hope and really try their best and improve.
As much as i love Ai-chan and Reina (koha.... eh.....), i want to see the other girls shine and utilize the potential and beyond.
I blame UFA for their stupid management methods. IMO, Hello! Project have a lot of great potential and really are awesome, it's just they are managed by idiots who only thinks of the profits of now and not the future. they don't give the girls alot of chance and opportunity and almost overwhelms the fans with a few selected ones that it almost to the point of annoying (not the girls fault, though, mostly UFA)
With that said, i think the dance is cool, all of them are really incredible, gorgeous and sexy and beautiful. and great dancers. i love MoMusu more and more. the outfits are... how should i say it?.... dark, hip, sexy, sassy?
funny how both Reina and Ai have the same outfits on, though....
I really hope that the other version would be alot better.

I've been watching it over and over now... and reading the threads around the net about it, and really I've come to this kind of state where I'm fine with it and its enjoyable in some narrowed down level. I still have a problem with the spazmatic camera sometimes...shifting between 3 scenes really fast can be a little hard to bear for me... but other than that I kind of just see it as entertaining. I do miss the moving camera type PV which would allow us to see some focus on the girls in the back while its panning on, for example, Risa's "Baby baby" lines would be cool if it did a pan across her back to the front which would get whoever is behind her at the time, but knowing that they went with the stationary camera direction it seems fine.
I also marvel at the people who make the PV and their love of reflective surfaces...lol I don't know why.
Dang someplace already sold out of one of the versions? I need to preorder one but I can't decide which with them both being DVD types...
The thing is in the end I think, I didn't really care much about the PV... I mean I knew I liked the song well enough (pending the lyrics as I usually do), but I really want to hear it in concert or at a live performance more than anything else.

I think most of us are both amazed yet disappointed with the song and the PV. I love the song, but not everyone got to sing. Ai, Reina, and Kusumi, sung most of the song, Aika, Junjun, and Linlin didn't have a single line, just in the course probably. I'm waiting for a single like Koko ni Iruzee! to come out, a song where no one had a lead, a fair amount of lines for everyone.
Anyway, I've color coded the song. Thanks to Anton_91 for most of the lyrics, except for the last course and some other stuff I tried to do myself. So if it wrong, anyone can fix it. :)

So, I was looking at the color-coded lyrics for Resonant Blue^ and it made me sad. It's even more obvious with the color-coding how little most of the members got to sing in this song.

I like the song, but at first when they say "cry, cry, don't cry" I thought they were going to sing "Space Taxi" from "(T)Raumschiff Surprise -Periode 1", the line "high,high, heititei".

It felt too heavily overfocused on the 3 main. Which is kinda strange, since MM PVs are normally evenly focused to a basic degree. I'm all for Reina-spotlighting, but not so much that Ai+Reina deletes 90% of other members airtiime. :cry:
Guess it's just another bad job in color. In my first watch I didn't even notice 8th gen and only did in the 2nd watch (wow, they get 1 big friggin' second at the start! ;)). It would really make a great game of "Where's JunJun" after that.
But I did see the other members have their spots, better than nothing... :(

Okay, yeah you have a point. I looked up the color-coding for Mr. Moonlight and it was really completely dominated by Yossi (:heart:), Nacchi, and Gocchin. And I was looking at the color-coding for all the singles around the same time as Mr. Moonlight, and the large majority of them had Gocchin in the lead, so it's not really very different from Ai having so many leads now.
I don't know. I wasn't a fan back then so I don't know how people felt about Gocchin getting so much of the spotlight but I'm wondering if the reaction was similar to this.
But I won't budge on one thing: PVs have gone down the shitter. Mr. Moonlight's PV was imaginative and fun. But UFA is copping out big time lately. :banghead:

They released the 'Pink version' of Biyuuden's "Jaja Uma Paradise" first and it said on the video that it was another version, the one on DohhhUp didn't state it was any version, so maybe it's the official PV?

i read somewhere that the song sounds like something SPEED would make but i quickly forgot about reading it. Only upon hearing AND seeing this PV, it wnet back to me and i felt it really does have the beat AND visuals of SPEED.
if this is where Tsunku is planning to take MoMusu, i’m liking his plan very much.

It's not about the girls not getting lines in the song that i'm worried about, it's the lack of exposure in the PV which irks me. As for Mr. Moonlight and Roman and many others, yes there were only a few leads for each song. But the PV "contained" everyone even when there were like 15 members at 1 point.

I still don't know what to make of it so far...at first I wasn't so happy, then the song started to grow on me and even thought the PV wasn't perfect for me I still liked the song. Now though I'm finding I've already stopped listening to it which is a bad sign. Hopefully I'll get hooked on it again though soon enough.

I've actually been hoping they pull a Berryz/C-ute and the cw has either a more equal distribution (i.e. JUMP) or have some of the girls who never get lines kind of take it over (i.e. Berryz Kamen). Even if that doesn't happen, I'm hoping for something amazing. I can deal with Ai + Reina leads if the song is awesome, much like RB.

I'm actually hoping for something..."different", I'm not sure exactly what I mean by that myself but I just want to get something that's either odd or jumps out at me rather than something forgettable. Not really different in the way that Kanashimi Twilight was more like err....more something bizarre like the last song on C-ute's newest album (the ondo one), something like that would be awesome.

When Tsunku said he wants to create a "new" Morning Musume and make it a better group, I'm sure he's doing it one step at a time. Some people are complaining about the PV, but maybe he's starting off with songs first, making solid singles, then who knows, maybe the next time we'll get an awesome PV :)

I have to say that I agree with you, I'm being a indecisive idiot at the moment and I'm not fully decided on what I think on either song, both seem fine to me but neither of them have left me reeling from how brilliant or awful they are. Like you say though it really is contradictory to what Tsunku said in the past; and like I mentioned, he actually said the exact same thing before Mikan was released as well. I was willing to forgive that though since Mikan didn't have the sales that UFA would have been hoping for, nevertheless I would prefer if there was a bit more consistency in things.
I mentioned that I wanted something "different" for the B-side, and although it certainly isn't in the same vein as Resonant Blue that isn't what I really meant. I was hoping we would get a glimpse of what the "new" Morning Musume would be about. I can't say I dislike the song at the moment but it doesn't seem like anythin's been done to make people sit up and realise this is meant to be something new. The majority of people who hear the B-side won't even have that in mind unless they'd previously heard Tsunku's statement and that's my problem with it really. Maybe if I listen a few more times and I get it stuck in my head I really won't care about it in time but certainly for the moment I am a bit annoyed that we didn't get a big step forward like I was hoping, in fact it's a step back to the music they were making just a few years ago. Nothing wrong with the sound they had back then imo but it definitely isn't what I was expecting or hoping for.

although I agree that the B-side's does contradict what RB theme is, mature and cool, but i also really like Cheerful, fun, uplifting pop songs that is B-side. That feeling is MoMusu. MoMusu have that fun, bubblegum pop sound that i really like and enjoy. But i also enjoy their mature, kool sound as well. I love it that MoMusu/H!P can have different sounds, even if it doesn't sound original or authentic.
Tsunku mentions that RB is the start for a new MoMusu, and that's great as it may bring in and attract potential new fans or just music lovers. but imo, the b-side is something for the long-time fans, that are used to this style of music.

Maybe the b-side is also trying to prove the 2 sides of Momusu. The more mature, cool side and the cute and up-beat side. These are sides we know exist in Momusu and that they can pull off so well any time. The contradiction was (of course) on purpose.

The individual member pics are awesome sauce indeed; despite the fact they stand out so much in the PV I actually think Ai, Reina and Kohaur have the weakest pictures out of the set. Aika looks so much older like that and maybe it's just me but it actually took me a few glances in the PV to realise it was her who started at the front and not Sayumi who, also pulls of the image in an awesome way which I definitely didn't expect. 8) JunJun just reminds me a hell of a lot of Tifa from Advent Children there but it's LinLin who steals it for me. Don't know what it is but she looks hella good there. :wub:

in this week's FIVE STARS, Reina told details about the shooting of the Resonant Blue PV:
- all the members gathered to watch the pv when it was done and they all thought it was cool
- the filming started at 8 am and went on until 12 pm
- the filming was in February, so it was very cold and windy
- there were image scenes for each musume filmed at different locations: one musume was filmed on a rooftop, one in a fitness studio
- Reina's scene was just walking outside, so she thought it wouldn't take long, but they wanted a train to pass by in the scene, so they had to wait for a train to come every time so they could continue filming (in the end it took 3 hours)
- she was only wearing a mini-skirt and parka, so it was very cold for her
- later there was a scene where everyone danced wearing their favorite jerseys, Reina found it very easy to dance with a jersey
- that scene was supposed to be a rehearsal dancing scene, so the director told the members to make expressionless faces
- suddenly director suddenly stopped the filming and Reina thought "maybe someone made a mistake", but the director said Koharu was smiling too much
- Reina says that Koharu always has a smile on her face, so it's normal for her
- this version of the PV is a mixture of image scenes (which was filmed at different locations), an outdoor dancing scene (wearing their pv costumes) and a rehearsal dancing scene (wearing jerseys)
- in the scene where they were dancing outdoors, there was water everywhere on the floor to make it look more realistic, and it was very slippery (Sayu even slid and fell down once)

And i kinda understand the Dance Studio version, where they actually dance in the studio full of mirrors like that shown on the pv.

I love that they have outdoors etc. scenes (gaki looked fantastic :heart: ) and all the members were actually there this time so I don't feel like only AiReinaKoha fans can really like it. Some of the scenes didn't fit the song or could have been edited better. But hey, Aika and Junjun were visible, so I can't complain too much XD

The action scenes were so random that i thought it was annoying. aside form the soso editing, it would be more meaningfull to let each mini story coincide with eachother at one point or something. The camerastare was a bit awkward as well. Enough ranting. I want a studio dance lesson PV!

Though the new PV isn't all that great nor is it really a step up from the Dance shot version, but at least they are thinking out of the box and not doing the same old boring thing they've been doing for years.
only i wish that for the next single, hope they do a more meaningful PV, with an actually story if it's not too difficult.

After attempts to resist watching and waiting for my copy to arrive, I gave in... *is too weak*
I really like this version, though as others have mentioned I feel that they could have brought the individual parts together. I think after Sayu's "help me" it would have been really awesome if they could have had them all dancing in their outfits from their indiviual scenes instead of the black/white outfits. If they had done that, to me it'd be perfect.

I would also love to have the individual scenes linking up to each other but the pan away shots of individual/paired members were good. Absolutely loving this song and the effort they are putting into it. I hope people can feel it as well and support MM again for the right reasons.

Kamei and the pandas have still been seriously relegated though, they get absolutely nothing as an individual throughout either of the PV's at all, at least Risa has a car to herself...

To me it felt like all the solo/pair scenes WERE brought together when they all stared kind of sadly at the camera. I don't how much it links or doesn't link with the lyrics, but to me it seemed like the PV displayed how all the girls, even while chatting with friends and stuff, are still sad and lonely. And I was reminded of Seifuku ga jama wo suru too, but not too much to let it bother me. The bad editing also doesn't bother me (I don't notice it), so I consider this best PV after Sakura Mankai.

Just watched the Lesson Studio PV, I definitely like it better than the first one. definitely more scenes for the other girl and u can see their dance more clearly in the like than the Darkness.
when seeing how they pan the camera to the sides and the corners seem nice, i was also hope for a fixed front camera view where they all were staring..... but thinking back maybe it doesn't need one...

The girls looked great indiv/pair shots (Koha and that Reina PV finisher especially.) but that's pretty much it. It gives me an impression that it's a fan-made OPV :P
But it was kind of refreshing seeing those kinds of PVs (another ver. & studio lesson) from MM. Resonant Blue is a good song but I really didn't dig the the first PV when I saw it. Nice attempt UFA :thumbsup

Another version is good, but Resonant Blue's DANCE IS JUST SO FREAKIN' AMAZING and it doesn't do the dance justice because of all the switching. I still like it though.
Actually the night version+the studio version go to together but when you put the original the image is so different it doesn't really make sense. ^^

Seems like the most popular one is the Lesson Studio version. i agree.
the first official *dance shot* pv is all about Ai-Reina-Koha(maybe) and the not-so-much Risa-Eri-Sayu-Mittsi-Jun-Lin.
They second *Another Version* PV have more screen time for the other girls and does have some nice settings, yet it could've been alot better if they story of the girls actually connect or more interesting.
the third *lesson studio* have the girls in normal training clothes and dancing it out without a dark bg and dark clothes to blend in the bg. the girls look great and have a good amount of screen time for each one. we see alot of great sexy moves from each girl [bgcolor=#131313]as well as some flattering derriere shots[/bgcolor]. hehe... :oops: :bleed eyes:

Phew! haven't read this thread for a while so I just watched the different versions XD
I'm really happy that this time they really have an 'another' version of the pv and not just dance shot, close-up, medium close up or whatever. I think each PV have it's good points:
1. dance shot: really cool dance, and best editing out of the 3 pvs I've seen
2. another version: nice to see them in casual clothing, Risa looks gorgeous :heart:, and Reina's small smile at the end: :wub:. some fade to black transition could have been done better, but good editing overall.
3. lesson studio: more focused on the dance, really nice (and more closeups of Junjun :heart: although it's from the back, haha)

I didn't like the Another ver. PV as much as the Dance Shot, actually. It just seems really out of sink with the song. Maybe if I saw a HQ version of it it would be better. But the Lesson Studio version is PERFECT.

Gaki is a good dancer too (full of passion, etc), but still lack something (.... don't know how to explain .....)

About the theme of Resonant Blue ~
這次的主題是「早安少女組。第2章」
2008年是早安少女組。進入第11年的一年。為了替邁向20週年展翅飛翔的早安少女組。創造出全新感受，淳君在做了許多嘗試後，才完成了這首在早安歷史中不曾有過曲風的單曲。
誠如單曲的標題，本單曲想詮釋的就是「身處都市的孤獨感」。這首歌唱出了女生在都市中的孤獨感，就算週遭有朋友陪伴、生活在喧嚷的都市中心，或許正因為如此才感受到更多的孤獨感也說不定。

Just like the single's title, annotates “the lonely feeling in a city” - Even though the girls are accompany by friends and lives in a clamorous city, yet because of that, may even cause more loneliness.

The various editions of the single currently are at ranks 4, 5 and 12, but surely will rise later in the day. (Jbook charts cover only a limited amount of sales points, however they offer a good indication of nation wide sales.)

Just watched them on Music Japan.
It was half-lipsynced. Reina, Takahashi, and maybe Koharu were live. Well usually they do have some kind of studio help, but what stuck out was Risa's "baby baby", it was totally lipsynced or her mic wasn't on...they were probably singing overtop of the studio stuff too.
Their intro was very short, no talk. Their song was also very short, like at the end it kind of just cut off.
oh, and Takahashi's "ue"s sound really weird.

I can't hear "Fake" as well whenever I listen to the song, but that's probably due to the romanized pronunciation of the word? Remember, technically there's no "F" sound in the japanese language. The closest sound would be ふ, which is supposed to be pronounced more like "Hu" than "Fu". So keeping that in mind, "Fake" will probably sound like "Huae"...or something along those lines. o.O

"Fake" written in katakana would be フェイク (feiku). I was also surprised to find out that the word was supposed to be "fake" because I could not hear a k clearly.

even though sayu doesnt have lines in singles , she surely is a funny talker/ i think aika will also become more interesting in future talks. heck, they both have their own radioshows . Aichan on the other hand, is not fit to talk, just leave the singing to her. we all knew that anyway. And i love how junlin mingle with the rest. THey really have improved their japanese.

Just watched the making and Night scene version of RB.
The making was too short and more focused on the individual scenes rather than the interaction during shootings. I was looking forward to more hidden scenes during the dance lesson though.
The night scene version is actually the full version of the individual member scenes that you get to see in the another version PV. It was nice to be able to see the whole thing.
After looking through all the PVs and the single itself, i have to praise the staffs who were involved in this single for the inspiration and all the hard work.
PS: Utaban talk show is up on H!O, grab it!!

Utaban has been declining the last few years. The fact that they won't hold a pure talk segment with the guests without inviting other people is what's ruining it for most, but the show still have its moments. H!P should just skip talk segments from now on, though. They have too many restrictions.

Sure, they're idols, but that topic could have been hilarious if proceeded with properly. Same goes with the skateboard trick, when they were offered to volunteer as obstacles.

The girls could have worked better with the show, but I find the problem is also on the hosts' side. They could have TALKED to the girls, not bring up random/out of place kid talents.

Utaban sucks so much, it's not even funny. When I heard they were gonna be on Utaban I was like *shrug*, won't be woth watching... again.
Srsly if the hosts saw Momusu on Music Fighter or bothered to GIVE THEM A CHANCE, they would find out that these girls aren't plain. And about Risa and her asking to change the subject....maybe my japanese is still really basic, but from what I can get, the host did not ask when they would give birth, they asked if any of them was actually pregnant now, they of course said "NOOOOO", and he insisted with a "are you sure?" kind of remark....Don't know you, but to say that even jokingly to a bunch of girls that have probably taken the rap from management about the issue and on top of that are STILL UNDERAGE UNDER JAPANESE LAW (the only legal adult in the group right now as far as japanese law goes is Ai-chan, since age of majority is still 20) seemed a little....uncalled for. So Risa asking to talk about something else was the right thing to do in my opinion.

The sad thing is that no-one's really going to question over stuff like this and instead, like you say the finger will be pointed at the girls for being "plain". I've no problem openly admitting that the current members aren't as popular with the Japanese public as the older ones and that goes for the bands popularity as a whole too I guess; what does bug me is that these are the oppportunities that are able to push bands or artists into the spotlight but it just isn't being taken and that's no fault of the bands.
I think a lot of it is down sheerly to egotism, those working on the show are getting paid for this yet it seems more like a hobby for them, which is fair enough until it starts altering how they treat different guests. If staff think Momusu simply aren't worth it then why bother getting them on the show in the first place? Like I said, I' wasn't surprised to here these kind of reactions and I'm sure they'll be justified as son as I see the show myself but that isn't to say I'm happy about it.

Thank you. But even then, why bring up such a subject? Why insist on talking about former members? Can't the hosts talk about the meaning of the new single, make jokes about the "Another Version" PV or something? As said before, it was planned to have a really short segment, the kids are proof and the fact that the hosts could not bring up any other subject when the pregnancy talk died is another proof. As any person that saw the MF show can tell, these girls have some interesting things about themselves that any show host could easily explore if they wanted to (and I'm talking from my view as a former Assistant Producer for several shows here).

No, but for real. I even remember some older Utaban episode where (I think) there were older and newer generations as guests at the same time and the host said that the older generetions should visit more often for they're a lot more interesting compared to the current MM or something like that. I mean come on now, that's not doing any good for the girls but not for the show either. Who wants to watch a show where the hosts openly admit that the guests are boring? And the new odd segments really kill it for me.
The girls in current MM aren't afraid to bring up topics and discuss them theirselves. Just look at MF, I never thought any of the girls would actually ever bring up how the lines are divided between them, but Sayu managed to bring the humour out of it. So I think it is about giving them the chance.
If we leave out the Utaban thing I'm really happy that this single got so much promotion though. I'm starting to see "the new Morning Musume"

@DJ_MaiMai question, i don't think Oricon counts downloads in the US... only in Japan... btw does anyone knows how does Oricon count downloads? like on Yahoo or certain downloads site? How did RB did on those? and how about Taiwan and Korea? haven't heard much about those sales....

I actually like Tsunku's vr a little more... it's the arrangement. It feels a little more interesting and dynamic than the original. (Which just feels a little.. empty?)

i watched it again and it did happen. if they did not shoot the PV twice, then it must be that the tie is too loose and it swings around to the back or side often.

Well I am totally sure those a multiple shots. You can see it a lot with Tanaka when it changes angle from near to far, you can usually see that her hands are totally not at the same place (usually when she sings and it's near, she has her hands on her face, or really near, and when it's far they are doing the main choreography, and that's only one example). It's pretty much the same thing with her tie. It looks on the side during the far angle, and in the near one, it looks in the front.

But according to Reina on Mashup TV, the dance shot was taken at 1 go so they could not afford any mistakes.

Hum... well that's weird, maybe the dance studio version was a one shot thing, but I'm pretty sure the original pv isn't only one shot. Well, we could say there are two, the one with the static camera far from the group (that was probably taken in one shot) and the second shot with cameras moving and zooming on the girls.

Just listened to both RB Event recordings posted over at jpm....lol everyone should listen to them if possible. They are so funny XD
Highlights:
For the intro, they created a made up, insane story by each telling a part and passing the story on to the next person.
-During the first recording Ai chan had to speak in a scary voice but it was funny cause she kept saying words wrong and everyone had to correct her XD
-During the second intro recording, Ai chan was stumped so bad when it got to her turn that she started speaking Korean XD
-during the Cry Cry don kurai corner where they have to guess when the timer hits 10 seconds. Reina got 9.94 seconds! Reina has insane accuracy both times!
-Since Eri was MC for the cry cry don kurai segment she got to pick when everyone got their turn. When picking Sayu she called her Shige san even though Sayu hates that nickname
Eri - "next up is Shige san!"
Sayu - "Don't call me Shige san"
Eri - "Shige san <3"
Sayu - "dame"
Eri - "Shige san <3"
Sayu - "I hate that"
lol Eri calls her shige san a dozen times afterwards XD

-Eri tried to get 10 seconds by counting kame kame kame like on hm@ ...it went just as badly this time around too! XD

I don't think Sayu hates that nickname as actually it was given by Yossi. Probably she prefers Eri to call her Sayu.

Ah no, she really does hate the nickname. It's one of the things that she admitted to after many years. She said so on one of the xmas eps of yantan back in 2007...and when she was taking over for Miki on Young Town...Sanma was trying to figure out what to call her and when he was called her Shige san, Sayu told him directly that she hates the nickname. Shige means heavy so I think that's probably why she doesn't like it. And even though Yossie might have given her the nickname...on a recent dvd when yossie called her that..sayu didn't like it either XD
