they haven't been on HEY!x3 since........... 2005?
last time on MSta was Kanashimi Twilight, Yossy's last perf.
I don't remember a Mikan perf+talk on Utaban, is there one? i dunno

Yeah, they did do Mikan on utaban. On youtube they had a clip of them doing some sort of quiz.

Thanks so much for the download!

I'm not exactly blown away by the song but first impressions are that I do really like it, it does mae me laugh though as it really reminds me of the kind of songs they were making around 2003 yet Tsunku said this was the mark of a "new" Morning Musume...saying that, he did say that before Mikan was released too.

But yeah I like the sound of this, can't wait for the full version.

I'm glad this single also got a strong b-side. Like hanabi said, it sounds like it could also be an A-side. It's just all around fun and catchy and the kind of stuff I've been missing from Morning Musume lately.

When Tsunku said he wants to create a "new" Morning Musume and make it a better group, I'm sure he's doing it one step at a time. Some people are complaining about the PV, but maybe he's starting off with songs first, making solid singles, then who knows, maybe the next time we'll get an awesome PV

Jun Jun and Eri sound really good! I think Tsunku is doing a really good job at rebuilding MM. Resonant blue is pretty amazing you could tell he took his time and really wanted to create something catchy and groovy for MM. The PV is still a work in progress Tsunku said he was working on 2 versions. The first is a dance shot and the second will be like a story. Reina said on her radio show that her favorite part of the PV was when she was walking in a dark tunnel so I guess that will be in the alternate version.

I swear this gave me a nice honest smile. go tsunku go and make me eat my words!

The b-side was nice. I always think that MM songs (from their beginning till now) differ with other jpop, is they give a support/uplifting feel. which is great for a wake up call or for listening when unhappy.

Ok, here's what the problem is. Resonant Blue has a very mature sound to it and they also look mature and confident look in the video. This would be a good direction for MM in my opinion, because there are already enough kids units and lack of more mature groups (especially after Goto's and V-u-den's retirement).

This B-side sounds so childish, completely opposite of the a-side. Not the direction I (and from what I understand from Tsunku's statements (which seem worthless now)) want MM to follow. It's so contradicting.. how could you create a "new" Morning Musume and have this song as a B-side. I was disappointed with RB, but that's because the song is not my style. However, I appreciate it's mature sound, which is completely lacking in the b-side.

I have to say that I agree with you, I'm being a indecisive idiot at the moment and I'm not fully decided on what I think on either song, both seem fine to me but neither of them have left me reeling from how brilliant or awful they are. Like you say though it really is contradictory to what Tsunku said in the past; and like I mentioned, he actually said the exact same thing before Mikan was released as well. I was willing to forgive that though since Mikan didn't have the sales that UFA would have been hoping for, nevertheless I would prefer if there was a bit more consistency in things.

I mentioned that I wanted something "different" for the B-side, and although it certainly isn't in the same vein as Resonant Blue that isn't what I really meant. I was hoping we would get a glimpse of what the "new" Morning Musume would be about. I can't say I dislike the song at the moment but it doesn't seem like anythin's been done to make people sit up and realise this is meant to be something new. The majority of people who hear the B-side won't even have that in mind unless they'd previously heard Tsunku's statement and that's my problem with it really. Maybe if I listen a few more times and I get it stuck in my head I really won't care about it in time but certainly for the moment I am a bit annoyed that we didn't get a big step forward like I was hoping, in fact it's a step back to the music they were making just a few years ago. Nothing wrong with the sound they had back then imo but it definitely isn't what I was expecting or hoping for.
