I've pre-ordered the CD+DVD & the CD-Album sets!
Don't need the regular version since CD is already included twice!
YesAsia actually costs less since it sometimes include Free shipping!
Priced out selection at both websites and YesAsia cost about $15 USD less than CDJapan and it includes free shipping!
At least CDJapan has the points promo but that's good for future purchases whereas YesAsia stopped coupons for return customers!

^ Haha, yeah. But I've taken a glimpse of some of their pictures - and of course, through this thread :P - and they seem to be really unique. I'd love to get my hands on some of the photos they have, for my gallery~ And for graphics! >_<
But yeah, I'm also glad the photobook's big. This is my first J-pop purchase, but I've heard from other forums that sometimes, photobooks are the size of like, CD booklets. :( I would be mad if I paid dang near 50 bucks for a little booklet. :lol:

To register, you click on "註冊" (the first button on the pink bar at the top)
Then you get to a page about rules or something, and you have to wait a few seconds for the "agree" or "disagree" buttons to appear at the bottom. (Agree is the one on the left.)
The first blank is for CAPTCHA. (The images appears after you click on the blank.)
The second is your username.
The third is your password.
Fourth is retype your password.
Fifth is your e-mail. (It has to be Hotmail.)
The sixth box you can check for optional "advanced options" to appear (like your birthday, MSN, forum options, etc.). I recommend you uncheck "Email 地址可見" which says "Show your email to the public". (It's set as "on" by default.)
I don't remember what comes after that (I'm not registering again!), so if you have any trouble more then I may be able to help!
"SCANDAL's Sushi" is a reference to TOMOMI always asking if they liked sushi when they were in Hong Kong, btw. :lol:
I thought I got some SCANDAL new fast, but that forum always gets it faster because their time zone is close to Japan's. :D

Well, don't be so quick to envy me. This is only my first time ordering, and I had to persuade my mom for months to let me order internationally. She was so worried and suspicious. :P
Besides, it's supposed to be my Christmas gift (my mom agreed to pay for it, and therefore has a say in when I get it. :smhid ), so I may not get it until then. AND I signed up for free shipping on YesAsia, which states that it may take a few extra weeks to arrive. :cry:
But anyhow, I am still thankful. I just don't want anyone to be envious. :oops:

Good for you, you will now experience your first time buying. I'm still waiting for my favorite Jpop artist to release an album for my first time, then go all out buying CDs of Jpop artists. I just hope when that time comes the CD+DVD is still available that is most likely won't happen. It just surprises that the CD+DVD is still available, the photo book really kicked off.

This summer I had a garage sale and planned on buying a ton of Ayu singles, but, it flopped, and I only made 10 bucks. That really burst my bubble. :smhid Someday I will stock up on lots of J-pop though! :D

It's my 1st time ordering too and I had to persuade my mom for I don't even know how long before she allowed me to order it, but I still have to pay it using my own allowance. It made a big hole in my pockets but its worth it for the DVD and photobook. :w00t:

I'm sorry, I didn't know. Well, its kinda fulfilling when you're a fan and you get their stuffs. I so want to order the special CD with the photobook (I should not have requested for a PS3, darn it!). It kinda leaves an empty space deep inside me not being able to have those. Photobook version XD that vid from earlier today made me realize how big and awesome it really is :P
Early bird discount is something which certain shops offer. Basically it means that if you pre-order something (i.e. are early with your order) you get a couple of dollars discount :)

And yes, the photobook is indeed....pure awesome. When I found out there were some lingerie pics of the girls in it, I was starting to get a sinking feeling about having been so quick to preorder the photobook edition. But now, knowing there's like....300 pages and it's so big and yeah.... :heart: No regrets at all~ :inlove:

Usually I order from CD-Japan, because they are fast and reliable. However, the PB version already sold out there.
I buy from Yesasia as well, since they have stuff like Photobooks, gashapons, plushies, in addition to multimedia. Their "free shipping" is a myth, since the products itself are generally a bit more expensive than elsewhere. Still, depending on the exchange rate they may still be cheaper than CDJapan.
I ordered from play asia this time, because it was by far the cheapest. I ordered from them before and I know they pack things properly, so no worries of any damage to the PB :)

Really?? Their prices are the same as YesAsia, you have to pay for shipping (which took three weeks for me), and you have to pay customs. (At least, I did.)
YesAsia takes less than ten days with their free shipping, and I never paid customs for them.
Ordered from CDJapan once, and it arrived the Monday after the release date with EMS shipping. (A lot of people say they get it on or before the release day!)

YesAsia takes less than ten days with their free shipping, and I never paid customs for them.
Now it's my turn to say: Really???? Thank god! I singed on for the free shipping for mine, and I've been convinced that it'll take like, 2 weeks after the release date to arrive. :cry: I hope it doesn't take longer than a week; I'm already too antsy....

I paid around 5 USD less than I would have on Yesasia, both including shipping. Not that much cheaper, but still :P
I never had to pay customs from any site I ordered from either. Yesasia ships through Germany, so that's no customs guaranteed.
The delivery time is also roughly the same for each shop, CDJapan being the most consistent @ 5 working days for SAL. (Which is pretty amazing actually). Yesasia sometimes is fast and sometimes slow, I had to very long for my AKB48 book. PA also takes around 5-10 work days from my experience.
Aw well, it's all good :P
edit: in the case of Scandal goods, the difference isn't much. But look at this for example:

^ I do too. It's, in my opinion, a sign of.... disrespect to the instrument? And it's a waste of a perfectly good, hella expensive piece of handicraft that someone pieced together so someone else could make awesome music. Which all of these people have.... It's just such a waste. I know they're rich and can flaunt their guitar-smashing around, but really.... I'll take those instruments, if you don't want them...! :sweatdrop:

Yeah, you create a bond with it. The only plus side is that it supports the theory that the bass in Shoujo S was indeed a Squier and not a Fender. Still, I would have loved to have it :oops:

Japan official release dates are on Wednesday, but they are really released on Tuesday, and sometimes even Monday if Tuesday is a holiday. (lol, I accidentally thanked your post when I meant to quote! :lol:)

I just never have anything to scan anymore. :P

Haha, I was looking for pictures of the CD booklets too since I'm unable to scan mine due to the fact my scanner is kinda messed up ( like I said earlier ). Wow your the 1st person to actually like scanning. My mom was always complaining about scanning things. :lol:

Sure it takes a while to do it (mine's old, not one of those new wireless ones - like my MOM has :smhid My dad got it for her for X-mas last year), and I have to resize it from unspeakable dimensions in Photoshop, but it's fun~ XD And I'd love to have CD booklet scans of SCANDAL. I found ones for Mi (http://www.mi-girls.com/home.html) (I mentioned that band briefly in the intro thread in the main forum), which shocked me, but yeah. None for SCANDAL.

If you have a DVD drive on your computer, you can use a region-blocking program (like AnyDVD) and watch any region DVDs. :)
CD drives can't read DVDs.

i afraid not. oricon chart always show the top 3 for the daily selling. the only thing we can see their selling will be the weekly selling. but that will have to wait till thursday i guess. :)

Which songs do you wish were on BEST*SCANDAL? I know there's a lot of fans upset not to see some tracks on their debut (and some upset to see those damned indies again), so...
For me, I'd have loved to see the two mini-single songs - S.L.Magic and TOKYO. I loved those a lot~ And, an official release of Playboy wouldn't be so bad either. =P
I'd have to say, though... S.L.Magic, TOKYO, and Koi no Kajitsu. :(

I don't think I will be getting it either. You can get posters in Hong Kong for like HK$10 so selling it for US$21 is a rip-off especially when they probably got them free with the albums.

I pre-ordered the CD with Photobook and the CD with DVD sets which arrived last week!
The CD is very good :D
There were ~2-3 songs which have a jazz-like melody which really surprised me!
Guess the group is slowly maturing and developing more of their musical style and tastes.
The photo book is .... a disappointment :(
The pictures were 1) slightly blurry, 2) grainy and 3) dark!
It looks like the band was photographed in a dark warehouse with the lights shut off!
It looked like an amateur took the pictures instead of a professional photographer!
It wouldn't be so bad if the pictures did not appear blurry!
Even advertisements had better pictures or better focus than the pictures in the picture book!
The picture book is a major let down and wasn't worth the extra money!
Don't know why the band chose a Circus theme for their covers but the best cover is on the regular edition CD!

Yes, the theme was 'pictures that could cause a scandal' which could explain the dark setting. All the pictures were taken by the girls themselves using simple camera's, which would explain why they aren't that professional looking.

@ MrMojo: Wow. You really think it's that bad? I mean, sure, some of the pics were absolutely ridiculous. So much black ink used, and the pictures were definitely blurry. But, seeing so many other photobooks, I can say this is the first one I've seen in which I think, "Wow, the artist really put an effort into pleasing the fans." Many of us fans were hoping - praying otherwise (well, some) - that it would be bigger than a CD booklet, some even are.
I still wish some of the 100s of pics weren't blurry and stuff, but as Barrie said, it was like.... provocative, scandalous images in a certain way.... And it felt... so indie, or something. :P They weren't perfect, carefully choreographed images. They felt real.
@ Barrie.... wow. A Korean version? =O I don't think I've ever seen a Korean release before~ And daw, no cheaper photobook? Oh well~ I wanted to get my friend a pb copy, but.... meh. I can't throw so much money away again. O_O I got Christmas to think ahead to. :lol:

Yes, the photobook, IMHO, was a disappointment considering the price which is REALLY expensive as it had to be imported into the States!
If the pictures were "clear" then I wouldn't have an issue with it.
Couldn't care less about some of the poses the girls were in. Liked to see them outside of the band's school uniforms!
Remember that the photobook was probably aimed at the "hardcore" fans who really couldn't care less about the photographic quality but wanted to see the girls!
Imaging paying over $60 for a good CD (which has good songs) but a lousy photo book in which most of the pictures came out blurry and dark?!
If anyone ever took pictures, how many would NOT delete the dark/blurry pictures and hope there was another chance to take that "certain shot" over again? It's an issue of the picture quality!
My review comments had more to do with the photographic quality of the prints of the photobook than the band!
