But yay for a new, English-language SCANDAL forum!  There's Sushi for people in Hong Kong, this one French one, for, well francophones, and of course that one Indonesian one. But this is the first SCANDAL forum I've really heard about. And it's so new~ =3

Photobook version  that vid from earlier today made me realize how big and awesome it really is 

Early bird discount is something which certain shops offer. Basically it means that if you pre-order something (i.e. are early with your order) you get a couple of dollars discount

^ No way! I didn't get that. Then again, I used YesAsia, maybe they don't do that...? Where'd you order it from, if I may ask? 

And yes, the photobook is indeed....pure awesome. When I found out there were some lingerie pics of the girls in it, I was starting to get a sinking feeling about having been so quick to preorder the photobook edition. But now, knowing there's like....300 pages and it's so big and yeah....  No regrets at all~

Usually I order from CD-Japan, because they are fast and reliable. However, the PB version already sold out there.

I buy from Yesasia as well, since they have stuff like Photobooks, gashapons, plushies, in addition to multimedia. Their "free shipping" is a myth, since the products itself are generally a bit more expensive than elsewhere. Still, depending on the exchange rate they may still be cheaper than CDJapan.

I ordered from play asia this time, because it was by far the cheapest. I ordered from them before and I know they pack things properly, so no worries of any damage to the PB

Really?? Their prices are the same as YesAsia, you have to pay for shipping (which took three weeks for me), and you have to pay customs. (At least, I did.)

YesAsia takes less than ten days with their free shipping, and I never paid customs for them.

Ordered from CDJapan once, and it arrived the Monday after the release date with EMS shipping. (A lot of people say they get it on or before the release day!)

Don't worry, I've ordered some irregular-sized things from YesAsia before, and they've arrived perfectly fine. (Lee Hyori's GIANT It's Hyorish limited edition, Ayumi's A COMPLETE 3CD+DVD box, alan's Mandarin album)

Now it's my turn to say: Really????  Thank god! I singed on for the free shipping for mine, and I've been convinced that it'll take like, 2 weeks after the release date to arrive.  I hope it doesn't take longer than a week; I'm already too antsy....

I paid around 5 USD less than I would have on Yesasia, both including shipping. Not that much cheaper, but still  

I never had to pay customs from any site I ordered from either. Yesasia ships through Germany, so that's no customs guaranteed.

The delivery time is also roughly the same for each shop, CDJapan being the most consistent @ 5 working days for SAL. (Which is pretty amazing actually). Yesasia sometimes is fast and sometimes slow, I had to very long for my AKB48 book. PA also takes around 5-10 work days from my experience.

Aw well, it's all good  

edit: in the case of Scandal goods, the difference isn't much. But look at this for example:

Pardon for the question, I'm a total newbie when it comes to ordering internationally. Why in CD japan the photo book is out of print while in others it's still available? I mean is that still okay?

^ I do too. It's, in my opinion, a sign of.... disrespect to the instrument? And it's a waste of a perfectly good, hella expensive piece of handicraft that someone pieced together so someone else could make awesome music. Which all of these people have.... It's just such a waste. I know they're rich and can flaunt their guitar-smashing around, but really.... I'll take those instruments, if you don't want them...!

Yeah, you create a bond with it. The only plus side is that it supports the theory that the bass in Shoujo S was indeed a Squier and not a Fender. Still, I would have loved to have it

^ Exactly! >_< It feels like such a waste. I wouldn't go smashing my keyboard around...wait. Never mind, that doesn't make sense.  Well, rephrase: If I HAD a guitar (and I so wanted lessons a few years back, as well as an acoustic  ), I wouldn't treat it like crap. You do develop a sort of bond with your instrument, I should think. Unless you're like, a legendary rock star and have a million different guitars, and a million different that you use in your concerts. But still.... even though it's affordable for them to be able to do that, I still.... yeah. Enough with that!

Yesasia usually sends you an email to say that they have dispatched your order and you can also check it online in "my account". From my past experiences, they usually don't ship out early. However sometimes they ship it a day early. It used to take about a week for my orders to arrive but for some reason its been taking longer recently.

I'm hoping YesAsia will stock the Hong Kong version of the album (CD+DVD) because apparently it comes with a poster.
