I don't know about their Japan activities. After the 3 shows, thre's pretty much nothing left? Unless they do events. In Japan, they usually go on a show just once, not every week like in Korea.
From the pic you posted, the one between Sica and Seohyun might be Sunny and bottom left is probably Hyoyeon. The rest are so hard. I'm guessing...in the second row, Yuri then Taeyeon. And in the bottom row, Hyo, Yoona and Sooyoung. :-\

The style is awesome but the implementation is sloppy. Like the floor and background look slapped together, and their faces look overly bright like they were pasted onto their bodies but their legs look shadowy and splotchy. Plus the odd spacing and busyness makes my OCD flair up. :lol: Don't they have someone doing quality control? :doh:

C'mon, we all know they suck at graphics! Tour poster with original gray background not deleted, that whole Japanese planes controversy, etc. I doubt they have people doing quality control in this area. :lol:

Still bugs me even though I expect it. :banghead: In all the solo shots it's green screen then on the cover you got a floor and green screen. It was the first thing I noticed so someone else down the chain of command must have noticed too. It would be an easy fix, I think even I could do it, but I would probably just find something else to nit pick. lol
By the way I heard the MV teaser will be out on the 24th. 8)

SM is just a glitzier version of H!P with more talented idols and Kpop music. Otherwise they have the same formula PVs and shitty photoshopping. This is like mashing the Berryz Kamen, Madayade, and Seishun Bus Guide concepts together and adding the cheesiness of Furare Pattern anyhow, albeit 1000x hotter. :lol: It's like Berryz on Old Spice. :grin:

Wow I actually love it (besides Yuri and Yoona's bangs) And the photo editing is 1000x better than the album jacket. ^_^
The outfits are kinda boring compared to the shagadelic ones. Taeyeon just looks amazing though.

YesAsia has the CD available for pre-order. It's not clear to me if they ship the first press edition with poster. To be certain I pre-ordered via eBay from a seller in Korea who ships the first press with the poster in a tube.

Preordered. :thumbup This is pretty much exactly what I was hoping for when I saw the concept and what not. Just need to hear the other songs on the album now.
Love the deliberate tempo and all the surf guitar reverb, brass and other 60s style in the instrumentals.
"WOAAAAAAAA YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaa" from Taeyeon got me too. Then it goes into Trot mode. 8) It' got some flair.

I like My Best Friend since I'm a sucker for that type of stuff. Sort of the same vein as Way to Go and hahaha. Wake up is like a more bad ass mix of Chocolare Love and RDR although not as good as Chocolate Love. Snowy Wish seems sort of Christmasy. Sort of has that vintage SNSD style but kind of bland. I did feel the same with Etude and it grew on me a bit. I hope they use Mistake as the secondary stage song. :grin:

Sounds like the same thing as last year when Taeyeon was on a show and they screwed up the live mix on the broadcast. It sounds fine in all the fancams but the broadcast you can hear all the bg noise like boots clomping and the quality of the mics is scratchy.
Also wtf!? That lady that played Yoona's real mom in her drama, what a bitch! Yoona was soooooooo freaking nice to her and even bought her a gift and made a personal note but she looked pissed off during the performance. :lol: Afterward I guess the MC told everyone to be more lively or something. Looked like the times when kpop bands performed in North Korea XD (although I think in general North Koreans are a little more lively than actors).

The crowd was really awkward :( Most people were like not smiling and some tried to smile but faking it :smhid I can imagine the perf was pretty shitty for the girls if they looked the crowds expressions, but they handled it like a pro and the perf itself was good :)

Yuri & Tiffany battled for “Mistake”
SNSD’s latest track on their “Hoot” mini-album, “Mistake,” earned much attention after its release for being written by member Yuri herself.
The members revealed in a recent interview that Tiffany and Yuri had to battle one another in order to get their lyrics included in the album. The members stated, “They both battled until the very end, although Yuri won. Yuri’s lyrics about a heart breaking crush must’ve fit better with the song than Tiffany’s lyrics about never ending love.”
Yuri stated, “I’ve always wanted to personally contribute to the album. Lyrics that I had already written up fit well with our new song, so it was a great chance and opportunity. It was very different watching us perform a song that I wrote, as it almost made me choke up.”
When asked whether her lyrics stem from personal experience, Yuri shook her head before answering, “I have a habit of writing down things on a memo while reading. These lyrics were influenced by some notes I took from a book.”
Member Tiffany added, “I like writing as well. Should I receive another opportunity, I will take it and go with something stronger.”
The remaining members expressed their desire to participate in their next album production as well. Taeyeon has been busily studying about writing music, while Seohyun has been taking lessons on jazz piano.
The group claimed that their goal was to produce an album with nine different songs written and composed by each of them. The title track will be decided by a game of rock, paper, scissor.
I hope they'll continue to give the girls opportunities to write and compose their own songs for future releases.

This is Cyworld's digital chart. Notice how the mp3 buttons are gray? Apparently, mp3 is not available to download on Cy, and that seems to be the case with all SM artists. It's probably the deal between SM and Cyworld. I thought it was already hard for SM groups to lead in digital points since they usually did worse than groups from other labels but they made up in CD sales, but now it's even harder since they're not on Mnet chart and they will never do good on Cy since there's no mp3 to download. Sometimes I think SM doesn't care that much about awards, money means more, of course. Fans have to work harder because awards mean bragging right :lol:. Being idol fans is hard work and requires lots of money. :lol:

SM is about the money and they can make a little more by doing their own distribution. It might be short sighted as far as awards and some other things like opportunities in movies and dramas go because of the influence CJs has there. In the long run they will probably have to cave just because CJ/Mnet are so huge in the entertainment industry compared to SM. Even with how SM has been raking in money hand over fist the last couple years.
And they have had all kinds of problems with MP3 steaming being borked. People were complaining during Genie but I guess they lost like 10-15% sales off some of the digital charts because of it. Another thing I never understood is why SM blocks the MVs on Youtube from showing up in the searches or any of the most viewed/recommendation lists. Seems like you can only find videos by being linked to it. :huhuh

Hmmm, I never knew about the youtube searching thing since I subscribed to their channel. But if the vid is unlisted, it won't show up on subscription list anyway, so maybe it's the keywords? I knew that SM didn't put "SNSD" in Hoot's tags at first but they did after fans were talking and now it shows up on my search just fine.

The companies don't do the searching/reporting themselves. They hire other companies to do it, I guess they messed up. It has been known for some the parent companies to make unofficial secret youtube accounts to post videos and then take them down so they can get the free publicity of the video being out there and still keep their copyrights held really strictly.

I think Hoot was only leading on Melon on real-time. When I checked the daily chart, they were always behind 2AM. I didn't check everyday though. And now they're starting to fall on other charts too but I don't know who's topping with new releases, like on Melon, #1 isn't 2AM anymore either. And yeah, I saw Nate's ringtone ranking earlier today and they were far ahead with 5 digits while everyone else is 4.

I feel bad for 2AM since they have the second most second place finishes on music shows all time (and their songs have done the best of any of the boy bands this year if you look at the popularity indicators like ringtone sales) but then again SNSD has the most runner-ups. :lol:

Finally listened to 'Hoot' and the rest of the mini album today for the first time. Have to say that I'm a lot more impressed than I was with Oh! and RDR :yep:
I'd say my favourite album release of theirs since Girls' Generation :thumbup
Loving 'Hoot' (really does remind me of the Bond films, haha), 'Wake Up' and 'My Best Friend'. MBF reminds me of Jesse McCartney for some reason XD
Now just to watch the MV for 'Hoot' :shakeit:
