Chapter 1
It started as raindrops. Then it became like a drum with the constant, heavy beat.
That's how it felt. Then again, that feeling had made me anxious.
"Sacchan! The order is up!"
The voice brought me back to this world as my hands grabbed the tray as I glanced at the ticket with my mind set on the table. The usual elderly couple ordering a simple shio ramen as I placed it down and handed the first bowl to the woman and then to the man. The courtesy smile always comes accustomed with my delivery before heading back to the waiting area.
It was the fact that I had imagined everything seemingly going perfectly well in life. There was nothing that seemed to bother me until the moment a young couple had come inside the restaurant. My heart seemed be deflated by the sight of them like someone had squeezed the life out of it. They walked to my station of all places as I held the tray in one hand and take out the notebook from my pocket.
The order came clear but the gibberish they were talking made me want to get the better knife and slit their throats or at least give them water to stop the talking as I stood there staring at them while they playfully argue with each other about what would seemingly be great. My mind had wondered off when they were in discussion and gave them a simple suggestion of a large bowl of shio ramen to soothe both of their stomachs.
As I came back to the waiting area to get my order in, a seat had opened up as I rushed it into the computer and ran back to the table to get the bowls. I never liked to rush through it but seeing the slowly forming line, it had developed to be a good day for ramen as the soothing breeze had come through. Once everything came on my tray, I delivered it to the dishwasher, Aika-chan who usually was quite blunt when it came to my service but she was quiet, staring at me for a bit before I ran back with the warm rag to wipe up the table for the next customer.
“I got this one~”
Hearing the voice of Haruppi was a relief yet I grew to wonder why she hadn’t clean up the table beforehand. My mind went away again as the group of four burly men had taken the seats. Their stench had made me wonder if they were foreigners and Haruppi being the usual happy person had her smile wiped off instantly as she ran to get the water with the sour look on her face.
The restaurant itself was usually busy and the fact that evenings were the worst part of the day to work ever. They left it for the younger ones as they could gain experience with scheduling but being on the lowest end of the totem pole, I found myself wanting to at least get a day off on the weekend. It would be nice to at least get something to do during the cool nights in Fukuoka.
“Sacchan! Next order!”
The couple was still in deep discussion as I dropped off the bowl between them as I took out the chopsticks from my pocket and placed one in front of them. I ran back for the spoons and gave them before seeing another table emptying and grabbing their bowls of soup to take back as Aika was still using her secret powers to scare me off. As I started to wipe the table, my eyes went to the entrance as a tall figure with an elegant ponytail had walked into the restaurant and scanned the area.
“Excuse me! Okyakusama! There’s a seat here.” My voice reaching a screech as I got the attention as the person took a seat.
“First time here?”
“Un. It is unusual how Fukuoka is rather busy now than in Nagasaki.” The voice came off as a female but her dress made her look masculine with the rock t-shirt and black jeans.
“I’m originally from Kagoshima.” I explained as she gave a gentle smile.
“Ah Kagoshima must be great… Why are you in Fukuoka?” She asked as my hand went for the notepad.
“School.”
She nodded as she looked up at the menu to the right of her as the many selections of ramen we had on the board. I glanced down and about as Haruppi bumped me from behind. Seeing the smile, I tended to wonder about her but I heard her voice come back within my area as she pointed up to the board.
“Chanpon?”
Chanpon? I wondered when the last person to order that was. It was a Nagasaki dish if she had ordered it as I wrote it down before I nodded as she grabbed my wrist.
“Can I also have hot tea? If you don’t mind.”
I nodded as I placed the order into the system. The immediate reactions from the chefs were exactly as mine. Getting the instant powder and scooping into the cup before opening the spout for the hot water, I began to see her as unusual when Haruppi came up to me.
“Trying to be friendly?”
The tone made me irked as she always had pushed it onto me for some reason or another. It wasn’t anything that I tried to speak to many customers to make a quality impression on them but she also saw that no matter what I stayed even among everyone. Despite having to crush on a few of the boys, I never felt consumed by the feeling to actually be asked out.
“Sorry for the wait.” I apologized and offered the tea to her.
“It was no problem. I figured you were talking to the other waitress.” She laughed as I felt the anger growing within me. “I was just wondering what school you go to… You don’t seem to be that much older than I am.”
“I go to the Hakata Secondary school.” I replied promptly keeping my eyes at the window.
“Same here… I hope we see each other soon.” She said as I ran off to get the dish for her.
It was weird that we had this conversation while I had neglected a few table with the exasperated Haruppi running around to fill the orders. I grabbed the dish and carefully walked over to the table. It was heavier than the usual ramen bowls I usually would get as the scent seemed to consume my senses. My eyes went for the table as I dropped it off perfectly in front of her with my hand going for the chopsticks and handing it in front of her but not seeing the spoon, I turned to the window before in the moment seeing the ceiling.
“Are you okay?” She asked when the people slowly huddled around me.
“Yeah… just something.” I laughed it off when I heard a crash in the kitchen.
“Itai!”
“Let me help you up.” She said as her soft hand clasped with mines as I got upright for the moment.
“Thanks.” I brushed off as I could feel back soaked with something and I shook my head before washing my hands to get the spoon for the female. I continued on my rounds, apologizing for neglecting them from before as I saw her finishing up her bowl. I walked over with a tinge of pain running through my back.
“You took a big fall.” She snickered. “Thank you for being a good waitress.”
I saw a coin enter into my hand when I remembered the policy and I tried to give it back but she had waved her hand as she went to the door but I got to the door and stopped her with the breeze hitting my back like a brick wall as my arms crossed in front of me.
“I still can’t accept it.” I explained as she placed it into my pocket.
“It isn’t for you being a waitress. It is you for being cute.” She explained before turning around.
“Thanks… May I know your name?”
“It’s Moriyasu Madoka.” She shouted. “Sacchan, I’ll see you tomorrow at school.”
My first thoughts were cute and a tip. Then, she called me by my nickname at work. I ran back to see the droves leaving when the next set of waitresses had come out for their shift as I scurried to the back with Aika still staring at me from the dishwashing room.
That night I started to think about Moriyasu a bit more and wondered why anyone would want to transfer here.

Chapter 2
The next morning I smelled the linger burning of starches in the morning, the usual alarm that I had to wake up and save my piece of toast from being a charcoal. As I rushed out of the room, I couldn’t imagine such things be burning if I hadn’t been home until she stood there with the plate of mahogany-covered toast before she had walked away with a smile. Did she finally succeed in making toast?
“Ah Shige-san?”
“HAIIIII!” She answered in the usual cheery tone.
“How’s your toast?” I asked as usual but instead of the frown, she had bit into the edge while her jaw moved chewing on the firm exterior before the soft interior made its presence.
“It’s good… Also mother got me this spread, want to try?” She replied as her naturally golden hair swung around with my lips swiftly turning upwards.
Shige-san was weird because she was half-Japanese and half-Russian. Murashige Anna was more rascal than anything else but she was also one of the best students in the school. There were many things that I had liked with her because she liked waking up early and getting herself ready for school. However, she had spent a week on suspension for her hair color before high school.
Her mother had visited us on occasion and rescinded the suspension based on genetics when a stylist had been requested to review her daughter’s hair to the shock of the administrators. She also was the nicest person as she would send her “Anya” anything she pleased but that was something she hated personally to feel spoiled by her mother in front of me.
The only issue was she was an exotic person around the school and many boys liked to ask her out on occasion or out in the town. I grew jealous over the reason because she would accept and then drag me along. The boy being generous would treat both of us regardless but I wanted her to take on her battles alone.
The sticky substance entered my mouth as it stuck to the roof before slowly sliding down my throat with the seeds and honey sticking in my mouth. I ran over to the fridge to get water and glug down the rest as the combination was delightful. I left Anya to her breakfast as I ran back to my room to get ready for school.
The sailor dresses were common at the school for our uniforms as my thought went to Moriyasu-san as her body would fit the sailor dress as her slender legs would reveal more than the usual girl. It was guilty that I had thought of her but she was extremely cute and my heart started to race again when I heard her voice to leave immediately for school.
The weirdest things do usually happen in school and with the fresh pain from last night seemingly giving me the constant reminders that the ramen restaurant has been the trap for students. The main purpose was to get money for the house but with Anya getting people to be tutored in Japanese, I felt I could quit but the problem was I wouldn’t be helping her out. Shige-san had always understood that it was hazard so she wouldn’t be disappointed if I had but there were no other jobs out there.
My eyes were searching for a tall girl within the crowd but with Shige-san pulling me away to the bread truck. She knew about my bread addiction and dragged me over before the line was out of reach and grabbed my usual soft bread and melon pan before walking onto the school campus. The school itself was usually raucous with everything ranging from gossip to talking bad about the teachers but with my few friends, it was rather just the random moments in school or being Shige-san’s partner in the usual act of being asked out by a boy.
“How about a movie on Saturday?”
“Can I take a friend?” She asked as I rolled my eyes while he gave a conceded laugh.
“Sure. I wouldn’t mind.”
“Why do you have to take me?” I asked the same question hoping the answer would be different but my mind was set on the answer.
“Just in case anything happens to me, you can always get help, nee?”
If my back wasn’t in enough pain, I had my face as my next target to smack to rid of the stupidity of the girl. We ran with the bell ringing to our classes. I got in before the next bell as we did the usual morning exercises before she started on social studies.
The teachers usually switch between classes.as we would wait in the room. I scanned around the room to see many of them talking before the next person had come inside for math. My eyes began to turn to the window when the fire alarm had gone off and we all headed out of the room. The hallway had become a single mass as we all headed onto the yard when I felt an elbow into my shoulder.
“Hello again…” She greeted with the long, black sleeves as her hair was in a ponytail looking down at me.
“Why are you dressed like that?” I asked with the questions following one after another coming into my mind.
“I dislike the girls’ school uniform with the mid-thigh skirt so I paid for a full-length set and it’ll be here at the end of the day.” Madoka explained
“Oh…”
“Anyways, we can wait out here until the alarm ends.” Madoka glanced around the area as I saw Shige talking to her classmates.
The blaring sounds hurt my ears as it continued until it ended. I hated the random fire drill as someone would pull it because they were bored or just to keep you alert on the occasion. It did end but the sound seemed to implant the echo before we were allowed back in but taking out half the time in the yard. We had been free to walk around as the students headed to the hallway as Madoka had signaled for me from the level above.
I walked up the stairs with heavy steps as she guided me to the room and seeing the piano in the middle of the room before she moved it over to the side. There was serious, intense gaze at the piano she struck the note and adjusted her seating before she unleashed a melody.
Her hands moved elegantly as I watched in awe of her talent. I wished I could be talented but I tended to not show off as much but within the room it was the music entwining between us two as she focused on the music being played before ending the song as I awoke from the dream.
“That was incredible!” I shouted with hands coming together as she stood bowing toward me.
“Thanks… I never expected to play in front of someone.” She bowed back before peering over to the window. “Do you like classical music?”
I shook my head. Her smile came out but the thing was it was too old for my tastes. Madoka held a smirk as she returned to the piano to start on a song when the familiar rhythm caught my ear as I began to sing to the tune as she narrowed her eyes. I could tell she had been eyeing me since it started and when it ended I could see the lasers coming from her eyes.
“You are quite an act with a voice.” She commented as she went for the door. “I heard that you weren’t ever asked out by anyone...”
Normal response would have come out but from her it was weird because it was a hidden meaning as I stared at her hopelessly. The reasons came to mind but as she drew closer, my heart felt like a time bomb. My mind went into the panic and held my hands on her midsection with little protection from her advancing before she rubbed my head.
“I was never either. It is part of me that would love to have any boy to ask me out but later I found myself liking girls as much.” She smiled when she grabbed my hand. “How about you become my princess?”
My eyes widened before dropping my hand. I was frozen before the sensation ran through my legs as I got out of the room and jumped onto the nearest toilet. Madoka was seriously being open about the relationship but what should I say? I don’t want to reject her but I don’t like her as much. She was making me panic for the first time in my life. These thoughts came into my mind before I managed to realize a mistake.
“Kuso!”
My shout echoed within the room as I exited the stall a little lighter. The air was cooler than usual as the only thing left was to head back to the dorms to retrieve the new pair from the drawer before lunch. I was relieved that my next period was free but Madoka’s question lingered in my mind as I pondered my answer.
-
Whoa Madoka was fast. Then Sakura. Toilet, then getting new pairs from drawer. What did she do in toilet lol.

well you know the natural reaction when you forget to do something in the rush and it happens... It happened :nervous
Chapter 3
My feet felt heavy as I return back onto the campus as the ringing made me want to hurry but the embarrassing moment was weighing on me as I entered before the second bell. As I sat in the class, my thoughts went directly to the question. I wondered if she had been honest in asking although it seemed weird to feel comforted by a girl. A beautiful being that was female.
“Miyawaki-san, can you say this sentence?”
I stood to see the two people looking at each other as I began to replace the faces of the two with Madoka and mines before shaking it off. “Which one?”
I could hear the laughter around me as I sat in my seat with the sudden stress of now thinking about her but she must be just asking for other reasons. I couldn’t allow anymore as I returned to function in the class but it was too far into as I went back and forth into my thoughts until the bell rang.
It was the last class of the day as I began to function myself to having another afternoon with Shige toying around me, when the vice-principal came in and said it was a study period. I took out my book and began to read with the others as I felt someone poking my shoulder.
“Hello… Uwahh!”
My weight was thrown to the floor as I saw her behind me with the school uniform that she had requested. The skirt covered her knees as it only exposed half of her shin with the class staring at me as Madoka extended her hand.
“Gomen.” She apologized and lifted me from the floor. “Let’s head to the music room.”
I tried to explain that I was in study hall but since no one had been in the front, she dragged me up to the room again. It was empty as we both entered closing the door behind me. She sat on the bench, pointing to the chair as I sat down with my legs crossed when she leaned forward.
“I was little too forward the last time but how did that work out?” Madoka grinned toward me as I could only think about the question now being a coy for just making me nervous.
“I pee’d my pants.” I said bluntly.
Madoka tilted her head with a half-smile appearing on her face. I couldn’t understand why but somehow she wanted to laugh but I felt the same way as I couldn’t get myself to think before attempting to consider the natural reaction of going to the bathroom as she patted my head.
“Well… That was quite an adventure when you returned to the dorms.” She commented as I felt my face burning up as I walked alone back to the dorm to get another pair as I just threw the soiled one into the wash basket.
“What I don’t get is just, why me?”
Madoka smirked at the question. She had to pick me for a reason but somehow she knew I was available and I began to think about Haruppi who was also there as I broke eye contact from her. Her hands reached out to mines when my lips started quiver in front of her. She leaned in passing by my face as I could feel the breath by my ear.
“It was because I need a friend. You were the first person I met who hadn’t given me a weird look or judge me.”
My head shot back as my throat became dry as the question had suddenly made me think that it could have been more. It couldn’t be a dream but I heard those words escape from her mouth. I wanted to strike the smirk off her face but she leaned in again.
“Did it work?”
“Yes… That was the first time someone had made my heart flutter.” I replied when she tilted her head back holding her fist in the air.
“It did work! Yatta!”
It was another time when I began to feel the awkwardness of Madoka as she came from behind and grasped my shoulders. Before I could utter a word, she had me in the tightest lock around my shoulder before releasing her grip. It came like waves from the ocean as my body suddenly relaxed. I begun to think Madoka was getting to me. It had to been a trick that she had thought of to get any girl she wanted but I couldn’t stop wanting more from her before it all stopped.
“I’ll make a deal with you.” She whispered as my head spun around.
“What is it?”
“The thing is… since you’ve been my only friend I’ve made here. I want you to at least hang out one time. As for the question… It still stands.”
Her explanation was fine for the first part. As for the second half, I wanted to know what made me want to know more about her. If she could make my heart go crazy, there had to be something that could make feel that way again. It felt punishing but she was a cool person to be around and just wanting more every time I had seen her.
“Why do you like girls?” I asked as it came like snake inputting venom into the prey’s system.
Her eyes had become gray as she walked back to the bench facing her attention to the floor. The sudden change wanted me to take back the question when she faced me again. A smile painted her face as it wasn’t like before but her lips seemed to fidget when she started the explanation.
“Well… it isn’t easy but I had a crush on this girl once back in Nagasaki. She was actually quite… impressive but the thing was secretly she always had compared me to her. I was blinded by her beauty that she had slowly wanted to be me but I couldn’t accept the fact that becoming me would make me like her and eventually she stopped. Then, I was approached by a boy once but I couldn’t see anything I could latch myself too.”
“So you had that feeling?” I asked as she firmly nodded.
“As it slowly became the truth, I could only see her as my one true person.”
The story had caught my interest but I wondered if it had happened to me. I would be concerning and facing Shige with the look of interest over my face. Maybe it was something I hadn’t seen before but she had my heart in her hands already. The question had come back to my mind and I felt unsure how to get the answer out.
“What happened to her?” I snapped back to reality as she turned to the window.
“She moved away. She couldn’t tell me where but she said it was far from here. I wanted to blame myself for making me like her. However, we came to terms that we could at least see each other one day but sadly I lost it when I had moved here.”
“I see.”
My eyes went to the clock as I remembered my shift at the shop was in about half an hour. I stood and ran to the door, feeling her hand grabbing my wrist. That feeling overwhelmed my body as I turned to see her drawing closer as I felt her soft cheek touch mines for the first time. My body grew weak but I kept my composure before leaving the room.
“Where were you?” Haruppi tilted her head as she twirled her hair.
“I was with someone.”
“Who? Can you please tell me who?” She held her hands together as the twinkling in her eyes made me want to smile.
“It’s a secret.” I told her holding my finger to me lips.
“It’s a boy! I knew it! You have a cwush on a boy.” She pointed at me as I dropped my shoulders and shook my head.
I had smacked myself on the face when she got super excited. It brought out a fatal flaw that could make all the boys follow her regardless. I could only look like the part but playing such things felt kind of stupid but hers was a natural lisp that I had rolled my eyes at when I had first met her at the job. The boss had to giggle a bit that she had it while the only person without a smile shook her head before yelling at us to get her more dishes.
“I won’t say who but if you decide to not bug me a million times during work… I’ll confess.” I said to her as she joyfully led the way out of the school when I turned to see her walk the other way with the slight breeze blowing her skirt, revealing the back of her knees before the door closed behind me.

Chapter 4
The restaurant was packed with people as we had split the tables between us. It had become accustomed to the patrons that us two working together had brought in more money than usual. I didn’t want to truly believe that but the lines grew longer over time as we got to handing out bowls of ramen that maybe it couldn’t be helped that we were working there had helped them.
“Sacchan! Two shio coming up.”
As I ran up to the counter, there was another chef in the back working around the prep area. I hadn’t seen her before but she was pushing it through with ease. I began to see how everything was ramping up to be a big evening of service with the room going to capacity. My hand grabbed the pitcher and went to every table filling up the water as I could hear the voice from the front wanting to get them calmed down.
“Haruppi, I think Riinu needs some help with the crowd.”
As she walked to the front to get the crowd under control, I had picked up the empty dishes and carried over to Aika with her hands deep in the soap. I turned to find another group on the table. My apologies came quick as I wiped up and took their order before Haruppi came back to get their cups. I had imagined the whirlpool of people coming in and out when the head chef came out with his thunderous voice.
“We have sold out!”
The patrons sat with their bowls covering them with the rest of the crowd shuffled from the entrance. It was unusual to have a sellout but I found it truly amusing that we actually ran out of food. Riinu sat on the bench as she gave me a smile, wiping the sweat off her brow. With everything filled, I walked over to the bench and handed her a napkin from the waitress’ counter.
“Thanks!”
“Riinu, you are sure getting skinnier.” I commented softly as she gave a smile.
“Well… I went on a diet recently to shed off some weight but it has done some wonders.” The corner of her lips curled upwards. “I actually have a date too.”
I clapped for her before seeing the group walk by us. I ran back to scoop up the dishes from the table and gave a quick wipe before seeing the prep chef wiping her brow when I remembered her from school. She had been a third year when I first entered and she had given me an umbrella as the kind gesture before she ran home with her bag on her head. Despite having my own, she insisted and didn’t mind waiting for the umbrella to be returned which was promptly after the storm.
“Ah Nakanishi-san?” I said as she walked out of the kitchen and into the dining room.
“Hmm… Do I know you?” She asked with the blank look staring back at me.
“Yes! I’m Miyawaki Sakura. The one you gave your umbrella to when I was a first-year student?” I replied when she softened her expression with a smile.
“I see… I forgot about so many things especially that…” She rubbed her neck. “Do you think we can chat later?”
“Sure.”
I watched her walked to the restroom as the dishes piled up on the table. I helped out Haruppi to clean up each of the tables before turning the sign over to close the restaurant. Nakanishi came out from the restroom and took a seat on the table placing her hat on the top with her face in her hands.
“I see you remembered me.” She laughed. “I probably shouldn’t have returned…”
The stress in her voice made me wonder what had happened the previous year when she had received the umbrella but the next day she was nowhere to be seen. I had a gift for her generosity but I had given it to someone else during White Day. She lifted her head up and smiled. “Sorry, it has been a while since returning her from Tokyo.”
“I see. How was Tokyo?” I asked as she leaned forward and smiled at me.
“It has been fun meeting new people but I wanted to return home for a year before taking on a new challenge.” She explained wiping the sweat with her shirt before standing up from her seat. “Anyways, it is nice to meet you Miyawaki-san.”
Haruppi walked over to the table and sat across of me as she dropped her cloth onto the table, putting her exposed forehead onto the table. “I’m pooped.”
“Same here.” I sighed as I glanced at the clock. “Do you want to get something to eat?”
The chef’s perked up ears heard my voice with his eyes narrowed toward me. I smiled at him only to give me a smile as the answer seemed to only get us out of the restaurant since we were done with our shift. We headed out to the backroom to change into our spare clothes as I peered over to see Haruppi turning her head toward me.
“Um… is there something on my back?” I asked with my back exposed as I lifted my shirt over my head.
“Nothing… just trying to hurry.” She replied as Haruppi finished and ran out to the dining area.
I finished my changing and hurried out with my bag as we walked over next door to the café we usually would have after work on days we weren’t swamped by homework. As we walked in, the man with the salt and pepper beard had greet us to the table by the window.
The place was usually empty by closing time but he allowed us inside anyway as he found out we don’t get a meal for our troubles. He handed us a pitcher of water with two plastic cups as we usually would like with little ice and I poured out the first cup for each of us. I drank half the cup while Haruppi had sipped hers and hummed to the ceiling.
The usually ham melt was comforting but I had told him turkey melt instead and he gleefully accepted it.
“Since I hadn’t bothered you at work…” Haruppi showed her front teeth like a rabbit as I nodded to her.
“It isn’t a boy though…”
It was like I had wiped the smile off her face. I wasn’t sure what I had done since she was being the patient one but she turned away for a bit and chewed on her bottom lip before she smiled again. My words were like a needle that seemed to bother her when I reached out for the water. She grabbed the pitcher and filled it for me.
“What’s wrong?”
“It’s nothing… I was just wondering if you were finally getting a date, you know?” Haruppi swayed her head as she avoided eye contact. I would usually handle her quite easily with a quip or a joke but it seemed to get her deep. I repeated my words to the fact it wasn’t a boy. Madoka was the charming person to me. Why did it bother her so much? The question came into my mind as I tried to get her attention when the melt came out.
“Itadakimasu~” I grabbed my half as she slid the plate over to her side as she nibbled into it.
The warmth and gooey center had no effect on me as I pondered over everything before I heard a thump on the table. Her fist was firmly on the table as her face had become bright red with her cheeks puffed out. My instant thought was maybe she had thought I was going on my own instead of getting her involved and looked away for a bit.
“Sorry I didn’t ask you to go along with me…”
“It’s fine.” She replied biting into the sandwich as she started to wave her hand in front of her mouth before grabbing her cup and throwing water into her mouth to cool off the magma of cheese and hot meat.
“Are you okay?”
Haruppi swallowed it whole as she placed the sandwich back on the plate. The usually happy one had the glazed look in her eyes. It was trying to figure her out without getting anything else as the only path was to the restroom to give her a bit of privacy but as I left she followed me to the bathroom and I locked her out of the only stall as I could see her standing.
“So… you like girls?” She asked as if I was a suspect in a questioning room.
“I guess so but it had been the first time I’ve felt this way about someone in general. Haven’t you felt that?”
I saw her moved to the sink as the water splashing made it easier to go before I stepped out of the stall. I took the next sink when all I could hear was the words snaking into my ear.
“Since I’ve been with you…”
I turned my head before she walked out of the restroom. I had to get on repeat to hear it over and over as I let the warm water cover my hands. Somehow I felt it come from out of nowhere as I returned to our table as she consumed her sandwich. My half was slowly being eaten as I waited for her to repeat those words. I couldn’t believe I had heard it from her mouth but she turned every time I saw her.
“I’ll pay.” I said as I walked over to the man and paid the bill before we left.
Since she had in Fukuoka, she went her way as I returned to the dorms with the words still lingering my mind and shaking it off every time I had heard it again. She couldn’t be in love with me. There were no signs to point to it and now she blindsides me with an admission.
Shige was in her room as I just bathe and went to my studies avoiding the topic for the night. I felt relieved it didn’t come up before I slept in my chair but the next day, I wanted to hear it again to avoid the misconception that the girl had a crush on me.

Chapter 5
The next few days I stayed with Madoka as we sang with each other during lunch. The fresh scene made me think of the confusing times when I had to decline many offers. I began to consider that maybe it was something I hadn’t seen in myself. It wasn’t like I had dislike them just not like them more than friends but I wondered why I hadn’t felt like this before until she came into my life.
“I was wondering…” Madoka glanced around the room. “Since the weekend is coming up…”
“Where shall we go?” I asked immediately when I remembered Haruppi. “I have an idea.”
Haruppi had me tagging along for a date and deciding to bring Madoka may relieve a bit of the awkwardness. However, the other side was letting her know about it. Madoka nodded but then telling her about Haruppi had slipped my mind as I returned to class from lunch.
Haruppi smiled briefly allowing it. She looked okay with it as we went to work. However, the evening had gone slow and she spent most of the time with Aika as she was talking to her. I did the waiting on the elderly couples as the usual Friday night crowd would be after our shift. I turned back when the bell rang as I saw her with a bag on her arm.
“Excuse me… May I have a bowl of ramen?” She asked in a polite manner as I took her to the seat.
Riinu threw a glance as I shrugged my shoulders when I gave her the menu. I observed her wavy hair as she put her finger on top of her lips. The aura she gave off was well beyond what many would give off as a young female. My heart seemed to drop to my stomach before her hand came up and ordered the tonkotsu ramen. As I shouted the order, Haruppi rushed out to see the woman at my table.
“She’s… attractive.”
I felt the weight of her lower jaw hit the floor as she flipped her hair back. Haruppi wasn’t lying about her as she was beyond what we had as females when I grabbed a glass of water for her. She smiled at me as I began to ponder what to start the conversation with when the bag hummed as she grabbed the phone out of the purse. It was an iPhone with crystals placed on the back as she answered it quickly.
“I know! I wonder why she came here for…” I responded as the call for the order came out.
The tray was filled with the bowl and a few side dishes when things were slow. She gave me a nod as I went to the counter to chat with the chef and Nakanishi as she wiped up the counter. My eyes were solely on her with the rest giving her glances as Nakanishi began to point at her.
“She’s famous…”
She probably was a model based on her attire which would be flashy for the plain patrons we would usually have but there was no paparazzi outside so it must be someone on the lower side of the list. We avoided long periods of time to stare at her as she peered up a bit for a breath. Nakanishi stepped out of the kitchen and walked up to her when she extended her hand. Her face lit up as she saw her and gave her a hug.
“Must be classmates?” The chef thought as I tried to remember the female from school.
“I’m not sure but I haven’t seen her before.” I added as I saw Riinu come over to us as she leaned in.
“She’s Matsuoka Natsumi!” Her voice shrilled. “She’s an upcoming model from Fukuoka that got scouted last year for a magazine and won the contest.”
Matsuoka Natsumi. The name wasn’t familiar and I hadn’t followed that ridiculous show but still no cameras were flashing from outside. Something was interesting me as Haruppi and I headed to the table as she finished her soup. I picked up the tray and walked over to the dishwasher as Haruppi introduced herself. I returned with a piece of mochi and she picked it up, throwing it into her mouth mid-sentence.
“Matsuoka… Natsumi?”
“Yes, I am her.” She smiled. “You are wondering why I came here?”
I nodded as she opened up the bag to take out a picture. It was faded but you could see the two in the picture with a peace sign by their faces smiling with the green background and a house with a red roof. I glared at the picture and the structure of the face caught my attention.
“Who is this with you?” I asked as Haruppi walked away.
“Her name is Madoka… I think.” She placed her finger on her chin before slowly tapping it as she turned her attention to me. “I heard she was here for school so I wanted to visit her.”
Madoka? It was her in the picture. I remembered the story she told me about her friend and how she started to like girls because of her. I pondered if it was her she had talked about but I couldn’t say that I knew her and left her to be.
“Ah… I have to return to the hotel before my curfew. Thanks for the meal.”
She left the restaurant and wiped up for the next shift. I admired her beauty and how she had been polite but to think that Madoka was the one crushing on her made me consider comparing her to me. It consumed my mind how a flood took over the barren land during storm. I couldn’t escape from it as I stared at the one spot. Haruppi broke my concentration before I finished my last table and walked to the back to change.
I couldn’t stay as I had to figure out what had been eating me when Shige had passed by with others and tossed the key over to me. I ran up the stairs as fast as I could but my legs were slowly giving way to it as I fell to my knees on the steps. My hand grabbed the railing to boost me back to my feet as I quickly opened the door to get inside the apartment. Natsumi was becoming my only thought when I felt my phone buzz.
How was work? - Madoka
It was slow. I just came home.
I walked to my room, taking a seat on the chair as the buzz caught my attention.
I see… Do you have homework?
Yes… I may be up all night.
I knew she would allow me to do it without interference and I opened up my book to look over the notes from class as the image had been stuck in my mind. I didn’t want to see her but it seemed to be stuck like glue. She was beyond the normal female. She had the intrigue of a model but the way she sounded bothered me when I turned to my phone to see no messages pop up.
Then, the phone rang.
“Hello!”
“Ah… Sakura. It’s Shige. I have to get inside.”
I ran to the door to allow the halfie to get as she sped to the bathroom. I couldn’t hide the look of horror on her face before running off as I closed the door when something blocked it from closing all the way. Madoka had peered in and waved to me.
“You’re on this floor…” She commented. “It looks really nice.”
Madoka glanced around when Shige saw her and gave her a wave before introducing herself. She was usually quite open when meeting new people and they started to talk a bit; leaving me to get a cup with purified water from the pitcher Shige’s mother had given us a semester earlier.
“Here’s some water.”
“Thanks.”
My mouth felt dry as I stared at her for a bit with the thought of Natsumi and her being friends. It wouldn’t be a bad thing to say the truth but a fear had manifested in my mind. I couldn’t say I had met her former crush but letting her venture could be a problem if I had known from before. Shige let out a yawn as the indicator for her exit from the apartment as I closed the door.
“I’m going to sleep.”
That was my last words before locking me in the room with the homework staring at me only thinking about Natsumi.
-
Whoa, that was interesting development that Natsu came to look for Madoka. And poor Sakura. Now wondering what her relationship with Haruppi will be.

Difficult but yet still a manageable one XD
Chapter 6
I awoke to the messages from Haruppi about an immediate meeting at the restaurant and turned off my bed as I just stared at the phone for a few minutes before changing into my clothes. My mind had thought about school but knowing it was the weekend, I left the apartment to walk to the restaurant when Nakanishi stood outside with Haruppi. My legs immediately went with the wind and met up with them.
“What’s up?”
“Chef wanted all of us before we started the meeting and you’re the last one.” Nakanishi informed me as we entered into the restaurant.
“Ah Sacchan! Please take a seat.” He pointed to the chair with his face between smiling and keeping his serious demeanor.
“Everyone we are on the map thanks to someone hidden within the restaurant.” He announced. “Thanks to Sacchan, we got a high recommendation to have a dinner service for a CEO.”
I felt a few slaps on my back as I nodded when the owner handed me an envelope. I glanced at the white item and opened it up to a bunch of coins as it jangled around before closing it again. My smile seemed to give away the pleasure to be recognized as I felt a pair of hands on my back.
“Congrads on helping the restaurant.” Aika forced a smile before going back to stone face as the meeting had ended and I saw Haruppi at the table looking at her phone. I wondered about her as I was with Madoka and insisting the double date but being calm, I managed to take the seat across of her.
“Ah… Would you still be able to go?” She asked when I gave her a nod without hesitation.
“I guess we can have this but I feel like cancelling.”
A sigh escaped from my lips as she knew that it would be best to cancel if she wasn’t interested but her head kept bobbing up and down. I walked out of the restaurant when I saw Madoka coming down the street with a checkered collared shirt and jeans with earphones in her ears. I waved at her as she ran up and wrapped the earphones around her hand as a smile appeared on her face.
“I was wondering… if you were busy.” Madoka rubbed her neck.
“I don’t have anything to do for now.” I replied as she grabbed my hand. “Where are we going?”
“The park. The bench. Just something to do to enjoy the day.” Madoka spoke in short sentences as we left the streets to the small park behind the building hiding in the shadows of structure.
I didn’t know why but the sudden breeze made me shiver as her hand started to grip me harder. My arm was ready to fall off until we have at the blue bench with chipped off paint. She took a seat before I did as I grabbed my hand and rubbed it a bit to get the feeling back as she began to look outwards toward the oak tree. Seeing Madoka’s eyes glimmer in the light made me wonder what about the tree when I glanced to see the plethora of leaves that weren’t green but a color medley of yellow, orange, and brown as they slowly wavered in the wind.
“Watching leaves?” I questioned as the corners of her mouth turned upwards.
“It isn’t just the leaves but everything about where the tree stands, the people under it, and just feeling the autumn breeze hitting my face.” She sighed as her hand touched mines. “You can place you head on top my shoulder.”
I nodded as I moved closer to place my head on top of her when her arm raised and carefully placed around my head. The sudden shiver caught me off guard as I could hear her giggle a bit. It wasn’t so much I haven’t felt it but just I couldn’t allow myself to feel comfortable until I felt something soft on my forehead. My eyes peered up to see her head leaning onto mines.
“It looks nice.”
Seemingly I felt my throat go dry for that moment when I saw the female passing by my view. My heart started to pound. Truth was I wished Madoka hadn’t seen her but I had to let her go if she did but I could still feel her limp arm on my shoulder. A smile came upon my face as the view had passed but rattled still from her, I inched closer to Madoka when I felt her weight go away as she pulled me to the armrest on her side.
“Yes… I want to tell you that I’m still having the offer on the table. It isn’t a rush but…”
“I’ll accept.” I blurted out my answer as I saw her mouth was ajar before resting into a smile.
“Sugoi! I feel better that someone can actually accept me.” She snickered when I felt her lips upon mines.
My chest felt like it was losing air quickly like Madoka had sucked it out of me. Everything in my body started to go numb for the brief moment. I wanted to keep it forever when I could breathe again and slowly I turned away having the widest smile on my face. I turned back to see her again and jumped onto her as it was deeper within her mouth as I could feel we were fighting for the space before she pushed me back into place. The honey-like taste seemed addicting yet it brought a new sense into my mind.
“Do you want to have dinner at my place?” Madoka asked as I nodded regardless what it was but I could resist anything now.
I jumped out as I grasped her bony hand and grabbed as the hardest as I could. I felt invincible for the first time when the brown eyes met between the two. I could feel everything fall apart but the brief moment I became convinced that if it wasn’t meant to be. I couldn’t allow it to last any longer when my hand came up.
“Ah the waitress from the shop. Thank you for the meal.” She greeted as Madoka turned to me with a smile. “Why do you seem familiar?”
“I don’t know but you are a fashion model, right? Matsuoka Natsumi?” Madoka smiled as they extended their hands to each other.
“Yes! Many girls seemed to catch me easily.” She laughed as I nervously went with them until she slipped the picture out of the wallet. “You’re Madoka.”
Madoka glared at the picture before turning up to glance at Natsumi before she caught the note on the back. It seemed that she was caught by a press event awhile back and gave a firm grin to her.
“Right after the picture, I was actually scouted to model but I was too young at the time by a year.” Madoka explained when I saw the model’s eyes turned to our hands.
“Ah… You two were actually together.” She laughed. “You were hiding that… weren’t you?”
I knew it wasn’t anything personal but seeing Madoka I knew I had to lie because I thought it was her but in the end, it seemed to be a normal picture between the two. Natsumi smiled at us when she took out her phone and showed a picture of her close friend. I could see how she would talk about her and pretty much just everything that she had to speak of between us three. I nodded as I could imagine what she had seen in her but the lingering question seemed to wiggle out.
“Have you asked her?”
She smiled widely before shaking her head. “It isn’t right to tell her how I feel about her.”
“You should! I think she may feel the same way and even so maybe just tell her that she isn’t alone in the world.” I came out like lion wanting meat and Natsumi shot her arms out and gave me a hug. I didn’t expect to feel any response but I could feel her knowing that at least Madoka and I were on her side.
“It is nice seeing you. I hope you have more patrons.” She waved before walking past us when Madoka jerked me to the side.
“That was rather nice but don’t try to promote it freely, okay?” She warned me as I nodded.
I felt free from it but I guess to her it was still not normal and with the eyes of others, it seemed to agree with her as we walked back to the building with Shige and her friend out by the lobby as Madoka escorted me into her room. It was cramped with a bed that just barely fit within the walls of the room. The kitchen was in the corner with plugs slithering out from the sockets as she began the game of plugging in the appliances before turning over to the fridge as I took a seat by her computer.
“Give me half an hour and you can rest for a bit.” She informed me as I stretched out on the bed when I felt something brushing by my face and the smell was floral as I grabbed it and my cheeks turned into blackberries immediately. It was something I hadn’t thought but the soft exterior was perfect before I turned to see her grinning to me.
“I was about to mention I’m a bit of a pig but seems you got the memo.”
My words were going to come but I smiled instead before she finished our meal and rolled away to close my eyes for a bit. My heart became relieved that it was just a friendly picture but it was something I thought would have told someone. Still, I thought who could be the person Madoka had been talking about.
-
Oh? Oh?? Oh??? It isn't NatsuMado in the past but someone else? Didn't see that coming!

Chapter 7
“Wake up~”
Her voice got to me as I arose from the bed with the smell lingering throughout the room. My mind had been on the item but she set the table up with the pitcher of water and with the small table I saw the pieces of fish and vegetables on the plate. Her eyes observed my reaction while I had the first mouthful of food in my mouth. The mixture of the food itself was pleasant, casually nodding as I grabbed another bite.
“Is it good?” She asked after swallowing her first bite.
“It’s really good.”
She smirked as I said it with both in our worlds. The concern hadn’t really been put forward in my mind but I wasn’t entirely sure about what was going to happen. It seemed to be climbing the ramp as I only wanted to wait for everything when my heart would become uneasy expecting the deceleration to be coming soon. My mind became cluttered as my fork stopped and placed it onto the plate for my cup.
“Excuse me.”
I walked to the window, gripping onto the wall as my heart started to go like crazy. Questions of when and why came like arrows as I felt something wrapped around my body. I had gone limp in that moment as I could only just anticipate what to happen next. The lights seemed to shine brighter than usual with the afternoon overcast as my head rested on her.
“Are you okay?”
“Yes… just needed some air.” I sighed as I returned to finish the meal.
What is that moment? Where is that moment I wanted to happen? I always read the novels that would get me excited for the female as she would be swept off her feet or wooed by the man but seeing Madoka, I couldn’t expect that from her nor from myself. My mind thought it could be alright if it had happened. I saw Madoka pick up my dish and dropped it off into the sink as I followed her with the dish towel. There were too many things I had to ponder about and luckily I had the day off or I would be a mess.
“Are you and Haruka close?” Madoka asked as the name Haruka shocked me.
“Haruppi? She’s my senior but my junior at the restaurant.” I explained as I saw the smile on her face.
“Hmm… She tries too hard for boys.” Madoka murmured. “She should not be the type to be too open.”
I nodded with her. However, the truth couldn’t be farther than anything else. The words were coming back before I shook it off to wipe up the dishes. I couldn’t let Haruppi ruin the moment as we went to the bed. Madoka pulled me towards her wrapping her arms around my waist as she rested her head on my shoulder. Her breaths slow and light were calming as her hands rode up to my midsection.
“What’s on your mind?” The whispering in my ear made me shiver but I had my thoughts jumbled with her words.
“What can we do?” I asked to myself when I felt her hands rest upon my chest. “That’s too soon.”
“I wanted to see your reaction.” She laughed as she lowered her hands back to my waist. “We could…”
My body turned as I was now between her long legs. I braced my top with my arms as I leaned in when she moved her torso away as I landed on something hard. Hearing the shout, my head shot up but my hand moved up as I looked where I had landed and seeing her strawberry cheeks, I swiftly removed it from the area.
“You said it was too soon.” Madoka teased.
I nudged her in the arm as the embarrassment of missing was not only the worst of everything but being the shorter one I couldn’t manage to keep my balance and hitting her square in the bone brought pain throughout my face. Then, I felt my hands being clasped with hers. I felt like I was on a cloud as I moved up tasting the mixture of our dinner on her lips. I couldn’t resist but think about it but it seemed perfect as I was on top of her before she turned to her side as I landed on the item again with my face pressed against it.
“I’ll clean my room after you leave.” Madoka proclaimed as the embrace continued for another moment as I felt my chest burning from the lack of oxygen before I could feel the bed again.
My eyes shot open as she straddled over me, cupping my face as her lips marked a trail from my lips down the jaw line to my neck. The feeling of her mouth was like an off day. My groans urged her to continue as her mouth rounded under my neck with my arms flailing around her. Madoka moved her hand down to clamp onto mines as I had let her continue to mark me until I tapped her shoulder in submission.
“Your sweat…”
“Same for you… I like this.”
The smell was addictive. I couldn’t say no to it but my body was wearing down after our embraces and looking at my phone, I knew I had to return. Madoka saw the time and allowed me to leave but she grabbed my wrist and pulled me back violently into her arms. The goodbye kiss was a sweet as the first before going back to the dorm with the smell of her essence perfumed on me.
The bruising was fresh as I touched it continually until I opened the door where the smell had lingered. It wasn’t anything but it had become too quiet as I headed to my room. Homework was the last thing I wanted to do but feeling my body had been heavy and hearing Anya wasn’t helping but I was locked inside the room as the moans grew louder and I couldn’t resist allowing a sensitive touch or two but I felt neglected to try with the branding of her lips kept me occupied.
The next morning I awoke and went into the common area as Anya had been lying on the bed with her brown hair sprayed on cushion. I could see her smile grew wide as I peeked over the top. My roommate was in good spirits as I ran back to the bathroom to do my business before returning to the couch to see the smile hadn’t wiped off yet.
“You are too loud.” I smiled at her when she narrowed her eyes at me.
“I know!” She replied swiftly. “It felt that good.”
Very little had to be known about her and the guy but it was enough to just walk away from her before she would go on about the experience. Luckily, I escaped from her sight before she caught the spot on my neck. I touched it a few times to clarify what had happened last night was real before dressing up for a little shopping in the town. Anya usually did the cooking so she would leave me a list but with last night, I had asked but with the recent developments we got lucky to only get vegetables that I would choose for our weekday meals.
I grabbed the sky blue bag and left the room to head downstairs to street where the open market had been setting up as I waited observing the people. The chill wasn’t as bad as the days before but I couldn’t help but to feel it, wrapping my arms around my body when I felt a sharp jab in my back.
“Ohayou~”
Haruppi was hand in hand with another female as I saw her smiling toward me. I was glad that she had someone but the grip seemed tight for someone as I bowed to her.
“Ah Ohayou~ who is she?” I had asked in the Kagoshima accent with the pain radiating from the jab.
“This is Anai Chihiro. She visited the restaurant last night and we started into talking about things.” She explained as I gave another bow to her. “We just managed to see the person recommending the restaurant and Chihiro had asked if I was doing anything this morning as Natsumi was attending a photo shoot so I brought her here.
I had grown curious of Haruppi at times as she would force something upon me at times but I guess it was the best place to take her on a Sunday with few places even opening up. Once the horn went off, I surged to the front but the aunties had followed me as I could only move a bit before they would start grabbing and protecting my bag before the register was always noted from previous experiences. I got my stuff before bowling over one of them to the pavement and got to the register.
“Ah Sacchan, you got everything?” She asked as usual seeing me buying for Anya. “Six hundred.”
After I paid, I usually roam around and now with the two behind me snickering, I had just had to avoid everything seeing the area blooming with vendors and artisans from the town. Most knew I shopped in the area and would provide a free sample to me as the other two took some when Chihiro had pointed at the dark circle on my neck. I covered it with my hand as they knew what it was but I had avoided saying it outright. Hiding it from them, I managed to get away before seeing the last stall where there were five bands of rainbow colors on the table as she was busy twisting it on a hook.
“Friendship bracelet?” She asked as Haruppi pointed to her.
“Aoitan!”
She smiled and continued as I ran through the selection and noticed the one with a heart wrapped in the middle. My eyes grew wide as I placed the bill down before wrapping it around my wrist. Haruppi and Chihiro were left talking to Aoi as I left to return home to attempt on the usual day of catching up.
-
Aoitan appearing out of nowhere :o
And lol here comes the ChiiHaru eh.

Chapter 8
My heart was beating like drum every time I thought about Madoka. Her touch. Her smile. Everything seemed to be consumed by her as I stared at my homework hopelessly wanting to finish it. However, I managed to get my mind off it enough to breeze through it but it had grown to be distracting. There were many things I wanted to seek and now I can’t really display it as much as the time seemed to give way to my job.
Work had become a pleasant distraction as I saw Aoitan sitting with her mizutaki bowl as Haruppi and I managed to get the crowd through the afternoon. Seeing the people and the pictures of our menu were giving us motivation as the orders were coming in at a rapid pace. My name being mentioned was like a broken record before the next shift had come in with outstanding orders.
I grabbed my bag and headed out the restaurant when I saw Chihiro with her bicycle and an extra helmet on the handle. Haruppi must have invited her if she had been outside as I jogged over to her. I felt an aura coming from her that there was something between them I hadn’t anticipated with the bag on the other side.
“Dinner?”
“Yes… Natsu is stuck at another photo shoot so we could have dinner in the park.” Chihiro replied with a smile as I walked away from her. “I was wondering if you would want to try modeling.”
I shook my head before jogging away from her. I wasn’t meant for that as I could never be viewed that way to anybody but Madoka had come into mind and casually slowed down at the corner. Madoka was perfect for modeling I thought but I kept my thoughts privately before heading back to the building. As I walked up, the raven-haired girl had been standing outside as her eyes peered toward me before she walked over with a smile.
“Ah you came back from work. Tadaima.” Madoka noted as I tilted my head wondering what she was doing.
“Yeah… What’s up?”
Madoka grinned before placing her lips on my cheek, the quick peck before turning away. My hand grabbed her wrist as she turned back around.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” She said. “I don’t know your schedule so I wanted to at least give you a kiss.” Madoka admitted with a smile as she walked to the other staircase as I entered the room with the thick smell of stir-fry entering into my senses.
Anya greeted with a smile and wave as she started to move the pan with precision. My eyes were solely on her as it moved in a circular motion. I was bothered by the fact that Anya had a smile on her face. It wasn’t I felt angry but just seeing her was kind of irritating as I thought about food to distract my thinking.
“Dinner is ready.”
I walked into the kitchen to get a clean bowl from the cupboard with the streamed mixed rice in the pot. Anya took her bowl and walked over to the pot to get the stir fry. My mind had still been on Anya as I scooped the item into the bowl as I took my seat. Her eyes peered toward me as she waited for me to start eating. I wanted to hide the fact that I loved her cooking but seemingly a smile escaped from the mask as she sat comfortably.
“How was it?” I asked as Anya had placed a small mound of food into her mouth.
“I felt a bit conscious and knowing that it may be sore but I felt comfortable with him.” She explained as the seed had been placed in my mind with Madoka. “Overall, I liked it.”
“I see. I’m happy that you had the experience.” I smiled before stuffing my face with the rest of my bowl before washing it up.
I returned to my room to look over my homework and glared at it to only think about Anya’s words. Pain had been written in red about the situation but something else had seemed to be brought up. My phone was by me when I grabbed it to look at my messages. The blank screen had given me a sense of panic but looking back at my homework, I was confident in it when I started to open up the new thread.
Madoka, are you there?
I’m here. Are you okay?
The question was honest as I had my concerns but I also had my thoughts wrapped around how it would feel. I pondered over my next message as I stared at the screen. My finger tapped on the screen before I typed it out and felt my lips turned upwards.
I’m okay… Just a little lonely. : 3
Moments started to count down as my horns came out a bit. I waited for her to reply as the three dots appeared on the bottom left. I never felt curious for anyone to message me back but I want to see if she would answer me honestly.
I see… If you want to come over, I can entertain you :D
I grabbed my homework and placed it back into my bag before running out of the apartment. My feet seemed to shuffle quicker than usual heading downstairs and stopping in front of the door. I placed my hand on the door when I heard a voice from inside as lightly moved my fist to create a light sound. The door swung open to see Madoka with her arms crossed and a smile that seemed to slice my innocence.
“Lonely? I’ll make something of it.” She grinned as I came into the room to see someone with a cup as it began to drink from as the head turned to see a smile from her.
“Oh… I remembered you from the restaurant.” Natsumi smiled. “Madoka and I were talking about being scouted before you came. Want to join us for tea?”
I politely declined as I decided to sit on her bed to see what else had been lying around. The scent had become addicting all of a sudden as she came over to sit next to me as Madoka followed her to the bed. Being between the two, I felt squished between them but shifting my body made the space tolerable as I saw the model’s hand on top my thigh. I scooted back to the wall as the loud thump indicated with my hand on the item again.
“Seems interesting having a girlfriend like Sakura…” Natsumi commented. “I wished for someone like her who’s really cute and yet shy.”
“Well… maybe one day but seems like you have business elsewhere right?” Madoka smiled as the model seemed to get the message as she leaned in to give me a kiss on the cheek.
“Moriyasu… whenever is a good time. I’ll be waiting for a portfolio. I’ll see you once again when my schedule allows it.”
Natsumi had left the apartment when Madoka had turned to me with the soft eyes as I could feel her hands cupping my face as we both felt the soft bed beneath us. Her hand switched from my face immediately to under my shirt. I jerked my body away with a smile as her cold hand had touched my skin. She leaned in again as the lips seemed to hook me into her as I reached under to touch her bare skin.
I began the thought process from before. I felt distracted as my lips seemed to freeze but forcibly moving with her to stay with the flow but she paused with a smirk on her face. I could see it happening that I wasn’t ready for this. My mind was set on going this far but I wanted to get there eventually.
“I think a massage will calm you down.” She recommended when I felt her grab the bottom of my shirt and threw it off. My arms crossed in front of me giving me smile before guiding y hands to her shirt and peeling it off. I relaxed my pose as Madoka patted the bed as I laid on my front. She climbed on top my back, placing her hands on my shoulder blades before moving them in a circular motion opposite of each other.
“I’m curious on how big they are.” She whispered.
“I didn’t notice the size.” I laughed through the pillow when she moved to my lower back.
The pain seemingly went away as every move seemed to ease the aches. My mouth seemed to release the pleasure freely before she stopped and the weight came off from me.
“If you don’t mind… can I take off your shorts?”
I lifted my hand to make a signal as she slid them off my body. The cold air hitting my legs made me quiver from initial charge but she threw the blanket over it before slowly massaging down to my feet. My body felt the warmth of the releasing the tension as I became relaxed in her bed. The moment seemed brief as I could hear a sound from me before I shifted over to my side.
Her eyes peered down as the air seemed to be hitting more of my skin as I saw her. I didn’t have any words for what I had seen but I felt my heart race as she slid next to me with my hands firmly pressed up against her. My mind went blank like a camera without film until the next day when everything I had come back to me as I touched her again to confirm my suspicions.

Chapter 9
I spent the next week in a fog as I began to interpret everything that had happened that night. Looking into everything, I felt anxious and not seeing Madoka made it worse. I couldn’t understand what she had had done but it was enough to severely ponder what is the next step. I began to think that Madoka had avoided me and walking over to her apartment, she hadn’t been home since that morning I told her bye before school.
“Sakura!”
My head spun around to Haruppi as I saw a smile creep onto her face. It didn’t seem good and I forced a smile when she had pulled me to the side. My heart started to beat quickly as we headed to the roof before managing to break my grip away from her.
“What’s up?”
“I’m thinking of quitting the shop.”
My brows rose up as it wasn’t like her to quit easily. I remembered that I had convinced her many times to stop chasing although it was the other way around at times but seemingly I could argue why to ponder over such things. I would truly want to do the same but we had a boost in customers with the recommendation.
“Why?” I asked as her head turned away.
“Personally… I have decided to follow Chihiro.”
My next question seemed to flutter away as I knew what the purpose of it was but somehow I had to consider all the things here before even leaving school but Haruppi was in position to do so without any problems. She had been ahead of the game and only a few classes before graduation. My mind had been on Madoka as I just nodded.
“What do you think? I have a chance right?”
“Yeah… Although Natsumi is quite a model compared to you.” I said bluntly as Haruppi smiled.
“True… However, I had to give up a bit to allow Chihiro to scout me and now I have an agreement with them that if the school will allow me to graduate early, I can join them by fall break.” She explained as I remembered Natsumi and Madoka talking about being scouted.
“I see.” I sighed. “Good luck.”
I wasn’t sold on anything but the feeling grew that Madoka had enough to go forward and being here would be worth it if she was wanting to finish but I had to consider what else as the week had become a blur for me as work seemed to be next and knowing that I was probably be by myself tonight, I had to place the fact that maybe someone would take Haruppi’s spot.
“Ah… I was looking for you two.”
I turned to the door as the twin tails were my first reaction as she walked over stoically to us as she bowed before speaking. It wasn’t easy to let Haruppi take the day off but it seemed for the best as she left when I knew who would be great in replacing her. Riinu watched Haruppi exit the roof as she turned back to me.
“Well… can you cover Haruppi’s shift?”
“Sure!”
I grabbed my phone and searched through the messages I had sent Madoka over the past week and wondered what was concerning her and decided to head back to the dorms. My heart felt heavy for the first time in a while. I wondered what had happened when I arrived to the door of her apartment as she came in with her backpack. I turned my head when she grabbed my hand and held it to her chest.
“Gomen ne. I had to return to Nagasaki for the week.” She spoke when she handed me the bag. “I brought back some stuff. Forgive me because I was in a hurry to leave that morning.”
She opened the door to the apartment as I came inside placing the bag onto the table as she jumped onto the bed. My lips quivered as I saw her lying on the made bed and the brief memory before the lapse returned when I walked to the bed and took a seat.
“I missed you a lot.” She snatched my hand and placed it on top of her lips. “Also, how much you begged for more.”
“I don’t remember a lot what had happened that night. It seems like a dream.” I explained as she tugged me onto the bed.
“It was a dream.”
Madoka had stripped me down while I did the same to her. It was everything I wanted to remember but somehow I forgot to press record the previous time but now I had it set on for the whole time. Everything seemed to be based off instinct. Her hands touched the right buttons as I felt prepared for it as we both released the stress from the week upon each other while our souls touched beyond our bodies as the mixture had seemed to ease the worry of what had happened during the week.
The only problem had been time. I hadn’t known that my body had resisted such pleasure points for long enough as my lungs gasped for air as my rotten mouth had escaped every horrible word I knew in my vocabulary. My body felt worn as work came to mind and turned to look at my phone. It had escaped me that I was with her for two hours and had to be at work in half an hour only made me wonder when she held my wrist.
“I’ll tell you the next time, okay?”
“Sure.” I replied as her body was quickly covered up by the blanket.
I quickly dressed up and ran to the restaurant with all my effort which I began to realize how idiotic I had been running through the streets before slipping inside with ten minutes to spare and changed to take my first order for the night. Everything was blissful that I didn’t have to be set with my mind as I felt warmed by how her fingers played me like the piano at school.
The night had gone smoothly and with Riinu as my partner, it seemed to gather more customers on her side as she was model for our uniform with the hems perfectly showing off her thighs. Her smile seemingly charmed enough that I couldn’t believe how much she had done as she would usually be out in front greeting customers.
“Riinu! Looks like you did well on your first night.” I shouted as I wiped up my last table for the night before returning to the back to change.
The night seemed peaceful as I glanced outside as I changed into my school uniform with the next shift before heading back to the streets. The path seemed clear as the moon beamed on top as I returned to the room where the usually noisy Shige was studying and seeing dinner on the table, I took my seat and began eating as she glanced over with quick smile as I started to eat the lukewarm items.
My thoughts were to wash up before sleep but I couldn’t resist seeing Madoka again to at least say good night. I glanced at my phone for a bit to see if I could hint her about my return but I grew anxious and left the dishes in the sink as I raced over to the door and knocked as she answered with a long shirt as I saw someone waved from inside. Madoka allowed me inside as Natsu and Chihiro were talking on the table as I didn’t have to think about what was next.
“Stop it you two!” Chihiro snarled at us as I turned to see the two in the midst of an embrace.
“Haruppi…” I muttered when I saw her come out from the bathroom.
“Sakura… What are you doing here?” She asked as I began to consider that question.
“I guess you two seem to be ahead of us so we’ll take the mattress.” Chihiro pointed as I noticed the exterior shine in the room.
It didn’t take long to release the tension in the room. The mess of moans and groans grew within the room as everything was orchestrated between the five of us as I stayed within the comfort of Madoka. She was creative with her ways although the amount of times I could release for any one person seemed to reach a peak at a heightened pace. I grew greedy for it until my body expired as I could feel our hearts beat at the same time pressing against her chest.
“Sakura… Would you be angry if I switch for a moment?” She whispered into my ear, nibbling on my earlobes.
“I guess not…”
My answer seemed to get her to leave quickly as someone had returned but I covered myself when I saw her with a wide smile. Her body was spectacular to my eyes although I couldn’t believe it for sure but she slid onto the bed when I felt my chin being lifted.
“Can you go one more round?” She asked with a wide smile seeing her forehead in front of me. “I’m curious.”
“Please go slow.”
I revealed my body slowly to her as we started briefly but my body felt worn to the final round as I felt her body touch me and I couldn’t relieve such a night. It was beyond everything I had expected as we cuddled up one time and let our instincts go at it again.

My God lol what have you done lolol. I'm... Speechless!

Chapter 10
The mangled bodies were the first thing I had awoken to with the light peering in through the slit in the curtains. I lifted my head off a body when her bare skin under my finger awoke her from the slumber as I leaned in for a kiss. Her lips were still warm but her revenge was even sweeter when I covered my chest quickly with the shrewd smile on her face.
“Good morning~”
“That hurt a lot.” I replied as she brushed my hair back and gave a quick peck on my forehead.
“It’ll only get worse with time.” Madoka informed me when she pointed to Haruppi on the floor with the other two. “You two were going all night and especially on everyone else.”
“Oh really?”
Madoka was quick to pinch me again and I remembered when we were together that Haruppi was making me exhausted with every single blow she had attempted. It wasn’t light blows but everything felt like a roundhouse until I passed out but when I awoke, Natsu and Madoka were active and joined them allowing my frustrations on them before we all decided on sleep.
“To be honest… I’m jealous of Natsu because she has everything perfect and yet she has asked for changes.” Madoka sighed as she turned her attention to the one sleeping with Chihiro in her arms.
Seeing Madoka’s expression brought me to wonder about her. It wasn’t unusual to consider “changes” especially in this world but I couldn’t bear watching her as I pressed my body against her. Her eyes stared down as she ran her fingers through my hair with little change of her figure.
“One more time?”
I nodded as I lay upon the bed as her fingers danced across my body. The soul had become raw from all the touching but it seemed to be enough to allow the punishment to come again and she made it quick. Questions were never had to be asked as we snuggled up again with our warm bodies becoming one.
“Breakfast or lunch?”
Seeing Natsu’s body was a dream-like entity being in front of me. Everything seemed to match up with her even down to her patch had been set for her. My heart started like raindrops from the sky as I heard her but only to see Chihiro’s arms wrapped around her body. I didn’t have to see her but it seemed like a possession to her as we all agreed on lunch as Haruppi was the last one to shake off the sleep, covering her body while her cheeks had become a scarlet red from the night.
As we dressed up, I had the view of the model’s backside as I set it aside but also seeing everyone else my mind had wandered off into the abyss of my mind. There were many things I hadn’t considered but I had thanked Madoka for breaking the seal of my new life. Once we were dressed, the group had headed to the convenience store as Natsu had volunteered to take the bill but the rest instead of Chihiro had insisted to foot our own and bought little things before heading to the park to have a small picnic.
Chihiro and Natsu sat in one spot and Haruppi had sat with us although a bit of greenery would have come better if Haruppi hadn’t shown it from before. We opened our microwave meals together as it started with a nature-filled conversation around us before I turned to the tree.
“Sacchan… Are you planning to quit soon?” Haruppi asked as I shook my head.
“I need a little more money before I returned back to Kagoshima.” I answered with a smile as Haruppi nodded.
“I want to do it right away.”
Madoka saw in my face why the answer would seem awkward. Haruppi had been a friend and seeing her being hurt continuously wasn’t my idea of fun to her but somehow I had to see it through if I could but it was obvious that she had been chasing again. My first thoughts were to get the message through bluntly but I nibbled on the noodles to throw off the truth of my feelings.
“Maybe you should stay for a bit…” Madoka suggested breaking the silence between us. “Natsu and Chihiro are going to be on the road soon so maybe hang on a bit to pursue the dream.”
Haruppi nodded. “When are they coming back?”
Madoka shrugged her shoulders. “They are usually on the road so maybe a chance to reconsider the role you play now.”
It felt confirming that Madoka had her wise words to say but somehow it felt that Haruppi could be sold again to leave swiftly if the opportunity came. I wasn’t sure what would happen if I had the opportunity but somehow my feelings now seemed to mask what the future had presented to me. A smile came upon her face though as the muddy situation could only shield Haruppi’s feelings as Madoka took me to the side.
“The best thing is don’t let her quit.” She whispered into my ear. “They have been together working with each other for awhile so I want you to stay close until they leave.”
“Okay…”
I took Haruppi to the mall as the three were left talking as she tried to fight it off but I couldn’t let her get away and she complied as she saw the cute clothing at the new boutique. I wasn’t sure how long but Madoka texted me that they were planning to leave in the evening. Haruppi had brought me over to the boutique to do shopping as I admired the selection for the season as she dragged me inside as we touched the clothes. I knew my limits when it came to it but I couldn’t help to be excited as she was.
For the moment, I had given it a thought that Haruppi had the momentary blindness of the two when she received a text. The corner of her lips turned downwards as she let out a sigh before we walked over to the food court to get juice from the bar. Haruppi was quick about the situation and shrugged her shoulders as I couldn’t let her get too down about it but it seemed to sink in quickly before she walked up to a boy and took her to the theater leaving me alone sipping my juice.
“Sakura!”
I turned to see Anya and her boyfriend with her as they offered a drive back to the building. He was mixed to as Anya had mentioned many times before with his Toyota, borrowed from his older brother, as we drove off to the building. I texted Madoka about Haruppi and we went back and forth about the situation when we arrived as she stood by the gate with a smirk directed toward me.
“So… I was considering telling you this beforehand but… the visit was actually a disguise to allow me return back to Nagasaki for the break.”
“What’s your decision?”
“As for now, I’m considering a short return but I need to also consider another offer.” Madoka breathed as she grabbed my hand.
“The thing is… we also have been scouted by them two.” She smirked with the hand trapped within hers. “A person actually is coming down here to do more shots with us individually so I may be away longer because our schedules may conflict.”
It wasn’t unreasonable but it seemed to be okay by me to have a talent scout to have a glance at us but I could see the anxious feeling Madoka had about it. Natsumi had been insistent on having Madoka does it full time but she had refused to study but with time of opportunity slowly closing maybe it wasn’t a terrible idea to take a chance on the situation.
“I’ll consider it but it has to be part-time at best.”
She nodded before I returned to the apartment to take a shower before having Anya and her boyfriend for dinner. I was a mixture of things I hadn’t really considered but it wasn’t bad to take it on part-time before moving onto other stuff after school. Madoka was indeed beautiful and even beneath, I couldn’t stop my eyes from tracing her body continuously and how we became one for moments had become blissful.
As I was in my dreams for the moment, my phone buzzed as a call came from Madoka.
“Hello?”
“Hey! I saw Haruppi outside on the bench and I brought her inside my apartment. Can you come over?”
“Sure.”
I placed my dishes in the sink and flew out the door to Madoka’s place to see Haruppi with her face in her hands. My voice disappeared as I saw the tattered clothing and a cut by her cheek, freshly made as it was carved along her jaw line. Her voice was incoherent at best as Madoka had shown the only thing I had feared over time when I had considered my relationship with Madoka as I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around the grieving girl.
“I’m sorry.”
“It isn’t your fault… I should have known it would happen.”
“I’ll call the police.” Madoka said as I kept her close to my body as Madoka confirmed they should be over soon to take a statement about the situation as my mind became weighted by my mistake.
