New gadget to make theft of mobile phones harder

Finnish scientists have invented a device to make it harder to steal mobile phones and laptops by enabling them to detect changes in their owner's walking style and then freeze to prevent unauthorised use.

Hmm, I don't know how well that would work. I know for a fact that I change my gait quite a bit. Usually just to entertain myself without getting weird looks... Them crazy Finns!! Love them Nokia!

Also that could hinder selling the laptop used , etc. Or if you shared a laptop, you couldn't let other people carry it about with them.

Or the person who steals it might have the same walk as the person who owns it anyway.
