I feel a bit bad for not starting a thread for them earlier, but since they haven't been releasing new material for ages, I figured the thread wouldn't be successful. Now however, something's coming...
Butch Vig, Duke Erikson, Shirley Manson, Steve Marker
Garbage is my favourite band in the entire world and their vocalist Shirley Manson is my true Idol and Legendary Goddess.
The band was formed in 1994. Their albums are all different from another, but still have that 'Garbage' sound if that makes sense. And of course they all have Shirley Manson's beautiful, low, sexy, strong voice. Uh ah baby. Their first album is quite dark with 'raw' energy I'd say. Version 2.0 is more electronic but still angry and badass, but also beautiful and quite simply flawless. Beautiful Garbage is a bit weird, playful, wasn't easy to get into at first because it has a more 'pop' sound compared to the previous albums... But still good. And Bleed Like Me goes back to a more rock sound, with more traditional instruments and badassery. These are my ~feelings~ about them haha.
Something about Garbage is so approachable to me, idk. Maybe it's because the band members are so down-to-earth themselves, and it reflects to their music. I've been a fan since I was 13 and saw the video for
I Think I'm Paranoid on tv..., ... Basically, I've been their fan for half my life

From Wikipedia:
Recently the working titles of twelve new songs, "Time Will Destroy Everything", "Blood for Poppies", "Alone", "Control", "Animal", "Automatic Systematic Habit", "Sugar", "Felt", "Lies, Lies, Lies", "Not Your Kind of People", "T.R.O.U.B.L.E" and "Big Brite World" were released via Butch Vig and Garbage's Twitter pages as well as Manson's Facebook page.[105][106][107] The group has on several occasions described the sound of the album as "abrasive", featuring "extreme noise",[108] with Manson going so far as to attest, "All traditional instruments are banned. Instead, one is only allowed to make abstract "noise"."[109] Vig has confirmed that a total of 24 new songs are being "ruff mixed" for possible inclusion on the album
