Hello folks~
I have been absent for the past months, periods, semester, etc in the forum. Probably lurks and gave thanks to some fics around, as I gather some thoughts on my own stuff like how am I goin to update my stories and so on. But I guess there was a period that every writer would get when they are lost in their own thoughts of how they should continue their stories. If that's the case, then that was what happened to me.
Lost in thought.. drifting to somewhere else..
Then I decided to combine all my thoughts into this story. It's a combination of all of my ideas for the past years before I even started writing in this forum. I didn't know elsewhere to post this story and yet I always wanted to do an OC based fics. I combined them with NMB, all my feelings for 48G and here I have it.
I'm not really sure if I will continue my other fics however, I will try my best on it. But for this story, I'm willing to give this all my feelings as if it might be my last ever fics in this forum as I am considering to retire at anytime soon.
Enjoy~ Thanks for Kuro-nii, MbakYuk and Amechan on the advice, and supports they gave.
Please do feel free to comment and sorry for the English mistakes~

Once upon a time on Terra that you know of, a situation was very different than what is happening in the world now. You might be fiddling with your gadget as you listened to this story, waiting for your friend’s reply to your invitation to go to the ice cream parlour together soon, or perhaps.. You’re not listening at all and instead listen to the music blasting from your bluetooth earpiece.
But anyways.. Yes, the Terra on different situation.
The Terra that you know of are actually just one of a kind place where creatures lived, majorly by Humans like you and animals. There are many others like Terra as well, filled with creatures that you could never think of existing, creatures that you see in books as legends or myths, creatures that makes you wanted to check your insanity, creatures that your parents would not believe…
But let me tell you something; they are real.
Here’s the thing.. Those creatures don’t come from the Terra naturally, they arrived from somewhere else through a gate called pýli tou állou or known as Gate of Another, a mysterious gate that appears unscheduled and almost unpredictable. The Gate works as a door to another world as well as an entrance to Terra, an opportunity that other creatures tend to use to come to Terra. However, not all creatures wanting to arrive to Terra are good.
The only problem was, not everyone can see them. Those that can see them are believed to be given a special gift or a curse, it depends on how you see them. These gift/curse can be gained in many ways, but the ability itself were mostly passed down from their ancestors. Those who could see them are called Theatís or The Viewer. And what they could see with their eyes, weren’t just Dark Creatures but also pretty much every other creature from outside Terra. Yes, if your friend says that they have seen things like Bigfoot, Yeti, or perhaps Monsters. They really do exist.
Among the Theatis then, Keepers were assigned. The Keeper’s main job was to guard the gate from incoming dark forces or dark creatures, they are the peace keeper. They keep peace of the Terra we live in with their powers and abilities to fight off the dark creatures and keep chaos away from Terra. Each Keepers were appointed in each of their region, to secure one unpredictable gate among thousands spread across the world, the duty were passed on to their descendants and it is inevitable to escape from the duty.
Now that I have told you this, you should know now that your friends that are called Theatis, they might as well be a Keeper that fights for Terra’s peace.

“Keith”I opened my eyes to see a clear blue sky. I felt a simple breeze brushing off my fringe and in instant I knew I was no longer in Mrs. Watson’s class. I gazed at the blue sky aimlessly, admiring the blue sky and the breeze before I heard it calling out to me again.
“Keichi”Keichi..It’s a name that my mother would sometimes called me when she felt tired. The pronunciation of Keith sometimes are hard for my mother’s tongue as English was her second language. My mother came from a place called Asahi, a far away land from Astralis. She never told me much of her old home nor her past, just some phrases of the language she used to scold me at times or proverbs. Oh how my mother love proverbs…
“Keith Takata Brown.”That will be the que for me to stop spacing out into other things. My parents would call me that when they had enough of me at times. When I would rebelled against them, when I did something that they don’t like, like…
Except it wasn’t my parent’s voice.
I sat up, looking around to see green hills surrounding me, some sort valleys of greens bellow with patches of forests and dots of cottages.. And a giant white windmill standing on top of one of the hills.
“Keith,” I looked behind, to see a tree standing behind me and someone else..
Her eyes were the first that caught my attention, they were pure crystal blue, almost like turquoise. Her hair was light shade of brown, medium but wavy, tied into a ponytail. She was wearing a white dress that goes down to her knees, they were clean without any speck of dirt nor wrinkles. She was barefoot and… she looked as if she’s 18 in appearance but the eyes somehow told me my guesses were far off.
“Now you see me, Keeper.” she spoke with the exact voice she used to call me earlier.
“Who are you?” I asked for the first time. “What Keeper?”
She flashes a smile, not a happy nor pleased. But more of a weak smile, as if she pitied me.
“The time will be soon, Keith. It is inevitable and inescapable, things will get crazy from now on.”“What do you mean crazy?” I asked confusedly. I wasn’t liking the pity smile,“What am I running away from?!”
The girl shook her head,
“I am not pitying you, my child. It is your parents that I pitied, their decisions to keep you in the dark.. The destiny fallen for the entire clan-"“What are you talking about?!!” I said loudly. I could feel my voice starting to shake as I stare into the girl’s eyes, anxiously. “What destiny??!!”
“Your destiny as a Keeper, Keichi.” said the girl. “Yo
u will be one sooner or later and you will face many friends and foes along your duty. A connection of worlds shall be made, The storm and Fire shall dwell and a curse shall be broken.. You have many things ahead of you coming as we speak, Keeper.”I opened my mouth to ask more question to her, but soon I see her fading away, blown by the wind as if she was a pile of leaves. “Wait!” I chased her essence.
“You must follow your fate, Keichi Takata Brown. An Angel and a separated one will be on your sides as you go along the path, but in the end you will face the darkness alone. Only one will stand, by the end of the eclipse.” she said again.
Just before her face completely disappeared, she smiled, “We will meet again, Keeper. In different circumstances.”
Then she was gone.

I gasped as I sat up on my bed. The sound of loud ringing from my alarm clock has woken me up, and so does my mother’s yell from downstairs.
“Keith, Breakfast!!”
I blinked and shook my head gently to get rid of my fatigue before turning off the alarm clock ringing. Carefully, I put my feet on the floor and looked around.
Back in my room…
But what was it? The dream…Keeper? What are they..? I thought to myself. Surely it definitely aren’t those soccer players that guards the goal post from the opposite team’s kicks..
But another question soon linger longer than anything else.
“I am not pitying you, my child. It is your parents that I pitied, their decisions to keep you in the dark.. The destiny fallen for the entire clan-”
If she’s right.. My parents are hiding something from me.. I thought.
Something big.
My thoughts were flying again, drifting back to the dream until I heard my mum’s yell once more, “KEITH!!”
I snapped back to reality and shook my head off. It’s all just a dream…
=====================================================================
After taking the cold shower I got downstairs to find my dad already at the table reading the newspaper with a cup of coffee on the side and a classic breakfast of smoky bacon and sunny side up.
“Morning, Keith.” said dad folding the newspaper. “Took your mum quite a voice to get you up.”
“Chemistry test with Mrs. Parker today.” I answered cutting my bacon with my knife before stuffed it into my mouth. “I studied.”
“You better, young man.” said mum settling down onto her seat. “High school might be tough, but trust me it is fun at some point.”
“Your football coach texted me this morning and he said to be expecting you well for this weekend’s match.” said dad munching on his breakfast. “Might as well practicing my motivational yell-”
“Oh no please..” I groaned.
Mum and dad laughed looking at my expression, before dad finally let out a chuckle and ruffled my hair. “Just joking, but don’t blame me if our mother started cursing in her language if one of the boys tackled you down.”
“Any mother would do that if they see their son gets tackled down, Richard.” eyed mother with a pout. “But of course, we’ll be there to watch your match.” she smiled.
I smiled and finished off my breakfast. Well there goes my parents..
My dad is a lecturer in one of the leading University and Research Center in Astralis, while my mother is a housewive with a part time lecturing at a local language course nearby. My mother as I mentioned before came from a place called Asahi, a totally different place from Astralis. She taught Asahi’s spoken language to the students there and would teach my dad and I a few phrases as well as proverbs. There are even times that she would scold me in her language.
But other than that, I loved them. My dad can be such a goofy man and my mother might be a bit annoying, but they are amazing all the way. The three of us would have movie nights since I was little, trips on holidays where dad would take us to beaches or mountains. My dad can be busy at times on his job but he would spare time for all of us, like my football matches for example.
I finished my breakfast and dropped the plate to the sink before rushing up stairs to get my school bag. Just when I reached the bottom of the stairs with my bag sling on my shoulder, the doorbell rang.
“I’ll get that!” I yelled and walked over to the door. I opened the door only to see a figure standing by the door with it’s back on me.
“Good morning.” I greeted the figure. “May I help you?”
“Ah yes,” the figure turned back to me and revealing a young woman’s face, framed with strands of light brown hair coming from the side her bunned hair. She was wearing a high collared black coat that looks pretty thick for the cold winter, a black leather pants and black boots. Her face like I described before, was young. Around mid twenty or so with light brown hair, almond eyes and light brown irises. She smells faintly like jasmine and green tea, almost like mother.
She looked at me for a second in surprised before eventually realizing I was staring back at her. She smiled lightly and nodded, “Good morning, is this the Brown Residence?”
“Yes, mam.” I nodded politely like my mother taught me to since I was little. “Are you looking for someone?”
“Well, yes.” said the woman. “I am looking for Nagisa Shibuya. Is she here?”
I frowned, the first name sounded familiar but not for the surname. “Mam, there is no Nagisa Shibuya in this house.”
“That girl must’ve change her name..” the young woman sighed. “How about Nagisa Takata Brown, is there any?”
Before I could answer, my mum yelled from the kitchen “Who’s at the door Keith?”
“Someone looking for you.” I said as my mum coming out to the hallway with raised eyebrows. By the time she saw young woman, her eyes widened in shock as if she has seen a ghost or somesort.
“You..” she whispered. “Why are you here?”
I glanced at the young woman, hearing my mum speaking her language to the woman. She had never use the language other than to me, dad or her students. And somehow I do not believe that this woman is her student.
“Nagisa..” the woman nodded. “It has been a long time.” the woman spoke back at my mum.
My mum’s face suddenly turned pale as she eyed the woman, “Why are you here?”
“I have matters to be discussed with you and your husband.” said the woman. “May I come in? Astralis has some pretty strong winds I must say, so much different than Asahi of course.”
======================================================
After letting the woman into the house, my mum let her passed me to the living room but held my wrist back to follow her. “Go to school, Keith. You’ll be late.”
“But mum,” I tried to protest. “Who is she? Why.. why are you afraid of her?”
My mum bit her lips, “I’m not afraid of her, Keith. Trust me.”
“No I won’t.” I shook my head. “Is she threatening you? Is she dangerous? Then we have to call the police!”
“No no no!!” hissed my mum before holding both of my hands. “She’s.. An acquaintance of mum and dad. Your dad visited Asahi before we marry each other and that’s how the two of us know her.”
“She must be so young when you two met her.” I said. “Like toddler.”
“Not exactly..” sighed my mum. “But listen to me Keith, she’s a good person. We owed her and so does my side of family back in Asahi, she might be your only guide later if-”
“If what?!” I couldn’t hold my voice. “Mum, why are you telling me all of these?”
“Because time is running out.” said the woman appearing out of nowhere on our side. “They took your husband, Nagisa.”
“What?!” yelled my mum. “Richard!!” she rushed to the dining room. I followed her with my heart beating fast, I was stunned to find the dining room was in a mess and the windows broken.
“Mum!” I yelled. “Where’s dad?!!”
My mum looked back at the woman. “You brought them here!! Now look what-”
“They’ve been keeping eyes on your family, Nagisa!” said the woman. “Of course they would strike as soon as I warned- DUCK!!”
I felt a hand pushed me downwards and my nose hit the wooden floor, it hurts so much but thankfully not bleeding.
“You’ve got to be joking me..” I heard my mum gasped.
“They certainly aren’t, Nagisa.” I heard the woman.
I glanced up and saw what used to be the TV room was now trashed and the wall was torn down into rubbles. As soon as the dust calms down, my eyes widened upon what’s on our front lawn.
Ten or maybe fifteen dark creatures with various forms were standing on the lawn with weapons such as axes, swords, javelins, even boomerangs were raised as they growled towards us. Their eyes were red in rage and bloodthirst, pointing in one direction;
Me.
“How are we going to handle this then, Nagisa?” asked the woman pulling a blade out of her coat. “I hope you still remember your trainings-”
“Oh I do..” nodded my mum. “But it’s all on me.”
“What?”
My mum glanced at me and the woman, “Take Keith, now. I’ll hold them off.”
“MUM NO!!” I yelled, grabbing her shoulder. “What are you talking about? We have to go together!!”
“Can’t Keith..” shook my mum. “Listen to me carefully, you have to stay safe with her. Do what she says, respect her, learn things from her..”
“No mum..” I shook my head, with tears streaming down my face. I haven’t cried in a long time and yet here I am. “I don’t understan-”
“You will one day, Keith.” smiled my mum before landing a kiss on my forehead. “Your father and I should’ve told you a long time ago about this.. And here we are because not doing it..”
“Mum..”
“Promise me you’ll survive Keith. No matter what.” said mum. “Come on give me a pinky promise now.” she offered her pinky at me.
“Mum, no..”
“Keith..”
“Nagisa…” said the woman in a warning tone.
“Keith..” said my mum looking at my eyes carefully. “You are the best thing I have along with your dad. We’ll meet again, I swear.”
“You’ll see me again?” I asked. “When and where?”
“I don’t know when or where, dear..” smiled my mum with glimmering eyes. “Just promise me now and I promise to see you with your dad.”
I hesitated but then I took her pinky and intertwined it with mine. “A promise.”
“Promise that won’t be broken nor forgotten.” continued my mum with a smile and tears. “Go now.” she nodded to the woman.
The woman nodded and took my hand, “Be alive, Nagisa Shibuya.”
“I will, old lady.” smirked my mum to the woman. “Take care of my son, Aunt Ijiri.”
The next thing I knew was my mum turned her back from me and shined into something red and blaring, but I couldn’t catch anymore as white stuff surrounded me and blocking me away from something red and warm.
“Hang on, Kid.”
The I felt my eyelids closed by itself with a sudden coldness enveloping me, putting me almost to sleep and drifted away from my consciousness
