Two Rivers Man Arrested for Assault, Threatening Pregnant Girlfriend

Two Rivers police report they have arrested a man for hitting his pregnant girlfriend, taking her money and threatening her with a knife. The victim thought she needed to go to the hospital to deliver her baby last week.

When she told Michael Vinson, the 46-year-old allegedly refused to take her, demanded money for beer and started to beat her when all she gave him was $50. Vinson is being held in the Manitowoc County Jail.

The woman tried to call 911, but he took the phone from her and hung it up. When police responded, they interrupted the assault.
