モーニング娘。の光井愛佳が５/８(日)の中野サンプラザコンサート終わりに、左足関節の違和感を訴え、翌日５/９(月)病院にて診察を受けた結果、「左距骨疲労骨折」と診断され、完治まで約８週間の安静と加療が必要との診断となりました。
上記の診断を受け十分に検討した結果、今後予定されているコンサート・イベント等には予定通り参加させていただきますが、十分なパフォーマンスが出来ない事をあらかじめご了承ください。
何卒、ご理解いただきますよう、よろしくお願い申し上げます。

Come to think of it, her susceptibility to these kinds of injuries might just be why they always give her flats to dance in.

Honestly, I don't really remember ever seeing her wearing heals during performances/concerts. Going off of what Slack said, her predisposition to wearing flats could be an indicator that this may have been a pre-existing condition for her (perhaps even one that she may not have realized that she had). All of the "punishment" that she's put her feet through over 4-5 years worth of dancing could have finally been too much for her foot to be able to physically endure.

At any rate, it's fortunate that, as far as potential injuries go, this one is relatively minor (the way I see it, it's similar to when Aichan twisted her ankle during Yossi's final tour, or when Mako-chan tweaked her leg/ankle during the 2003 Shuffles). She should probably still be able to join in on the performances, she'll just have to do it sitting on a stool and ease up on the dancing for a while. But hey, it's Aika. She'll be back at 100% before we know it.
