Gerald R. Ford, the 38th president of the United States, has died. He was 93.

From my hometown of Grand Rapids, and an all American Football player.

It's weird, the Simpsons episode with Gerald Ford aired that night.

He was a nice guy and an alright president.

He died peacefully at home at 93 as a respected man, known for being a good person and surrounded by a couple dozen grandkids. That's how I want to go.

Watching all these tributes, never knew he was a big Michigan football man either. Playing against Lambeau, and other football legends.

So many new revelations suddenly too. The Newsweek tapes on Reagon, Bush Sr. how loyal he was to Nixon. How he didn't want to go to Iraq. A good statesman if he was given the chance.
