Woah, some potential epic news! Thanks for the info RionZ!! I wonder if they simply meant the story is continued in FFVII, without making any hint of a remake.

And I wonder if the FFVIII-2 rumour is true. I was on the side of FF fans who liked FFVIII, so I'd be happy to know more about this. The Tokyo Game Show is next week, so who knows, it could be made official then.

GameTrailers don't seem to have the next installment in their FF retrospective up yet, but they have uploaded a crazy number of videos relating to Crisis Core. Each lasts about 1 min in length, 2 min maximum, and they would be worth more value if you can understand Japanese, but, the graphics!

Play-asia is selling it at SGD105 while the actual stuff costs only SGD55+-.  :bleed eyes:

Okay, if u beat the PSP FF7 Crisis Core twice...there's a new ff7 trailer...but some say its just the ps3 tech demo from 2 years ago...but then some disagree and say its a remake of the ps3 tech demo from 2 years ago, wtf? lol

and at the end:

WTF?! RINOA!?

i guess this might clear up the doubters of Ultimecia = Rinoa..

Hate to burst your bubble, but I'm quite sure that pic is fake.

http://www.psu.com/Famitsu-hints-at-Final-Fantasy-VII-remake-News--a0001352-p0.php

Famitsu hints that tomorrow (I think at the TGS) Square-Enix will announce a third-party game that "will save the ps3 in Japan."

Well, here they go again, people thinking its a FF7 remake.

Save the ps3 in Japan? for all we know it could be a Square-Enix fitness game...

But it would make sense to have a third-party developer remake FF7 since Square-Enix on countless occasions, have said that they don't have the developmental resources to make a remake until at least 5 years from now...hmm....

Hopefully some news comes up tomorrow

Might have to hook up my playstation to play my FF games, after reading thru some of this thread.
"Yo, microphone check one, two, what is this? The five foot assassin with the roughneck business"
"Are you my mummy?"
"Hello, Sweetie."
"Who's scruffy looking?"

Final Fantasy Retrospective X - Covers the numerous spin offs of FF over more than the video game medium e.g. Sword of Mana, FF : The Spirits Within, Last Order, Advent Children.

Final Fantasy Retrospective XI - Covers the different franchises associated with Final Fantasy (e.g. Crystal Chronicles, Kingdom Hearts)

It'll be a week since I was expecting FF Tactics tomorrow. I better get it this week, cause they're planning to launch rolling strikes from Mon i.e. one department strikes on Mon, Delivery Office strikes Tues, drivers strike Wed etc. :(

Just noticed this thread.

I do hope that FFVIII pic is true though. I really hope, especially since FF8 was (is?) my favorite one, right there with 10 and 10-2. FF7 is a good game but i've never understood what the big deal about it is, I just dont get it. I do get fairly annoyed by Aeris fanboys however.

FF9 wasn't bad but I have to admit I'm not a fan of the Medieval European setting, never have been, probably never will be. If I was then I probably would have liked 9 more than I currently do. As far as FF12 goes...well, I find it to be a total disappointment.

I felt it should have been Payne to save Rikku and Yuna's asses. But still a great vid. Fanservice is correct!

same here, I thought I was expecting Pain to show up, but that's what made the video that much better though.

I watched every single one of the final fantasy retrospectives yesterday. Boy, I'm crazy. It was fun though. Even though I knew most of the stuff in those videos.
It was like 'ahhh~ reminisce' xD

Those videos really made me want to play Crystal Chronicles. o__o But I don't wanna buy a gamecube....

A game to save the ps3? Maybe they're just talking about XIII.

Final Fantasy Retrospective Part XII - This one deals with the ports some titles have gone through (and there have been a lot!)

Next edition is also the last. They apparently build a FF from scratch (?) and predictably, look at what the future holds.
