Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but since all the FF specialists are here maybe someone can help ^^

I downloaded a song that was wrongly labeled as a FF7 song and now I'm trying to find out where it's from.
The thing is it does sound familiar, stylewise it could be from one of the Crystal Chronicle games maybe.

I've listened to all the FF soundtracks and played Crystal Chronicles, and that song does not sound familiar to me at all.

Someone from another board said it's the main theme from FFIV, the song plays apperently the first time you enter the worldmap.
I haven't been able to confirm that yet since I don't have the OST.

It's far different in terms of setting. FFVII as you know had a futuristic setting with an emphasis on 'realistic' looking characters. FFIX goes back to the series roots with a more traditional fantasy setting and with some outlandish looking characters. Personally I wasn't a huge fan at the time. I wonder how I would feel now that I'm relatively older and wiser since then.

Bah, what an idiot I am! 4hrs into FF Tactics and only now I realise that the ability to change job classes was available from the start. No wonder I was struggling! BTW, it seems like Tactics is reason enough to buy a PSP :thumbsup

Wish I still had it.

FF Tactics was 1 of the hardest game for the FF series IMO. Tactics advance on GBA was quite easy though.

Ok, I did a little research myself and it is the FFIV main theme: http://www.rpgfan.com/soundtracks/ff4piano/index.html

It is the piano version but you can clearly hear that it is the same song.

New trailers for FFXIII and FF Versus XIII :w00t:

Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy Versus XIII

And how awesome do they look? Still no gameplay footage as of yet (except perhaps the hint in the FFXIII trailer), but what a way for the trailer with FFXIII to close off! Could it really be who I (and any other FF fan) think it is? What does that say about the setting then? Oh so many questions!!

Would you believe I'm still playing FFXII? Game is so addicting with all this elite marks and sub bosses to take care of. Although I'm beginning to wonder if some of them are even possible without getting the best and rarest possible equipment for each character, something of which I see in a lot of user videos. I wanted to finish the story though, so I created another save file, and tried to finish the game on it, except:

**SPOILER**

Vayne in his undying form keeps killing me! Fucking perfect defense. I'll need to really go over my gambits I think.

And Tactics is going great. But like with Tactics Advance, it's difficult to know how to unlock the higher job classes. I want to unlock as much of them as I can by own accord, not by going to GameFAQ's.com. Facing a tough battle at the min though at Golgollada Gallows. Always seems to have at least one character of mine die permanently, and after spending all the time I have with them already, I'm not willing to lose them. One of my characters is a Mystic, who I thought would be pretty weak as it's a type of magic user, but turns out, she can pack quite a blow with her Cypress Pole!

I just had an orgasm watching those trailers. But for something that takes place in the same world, the settings look nothing alike.

I finally got past the part in FF Tactics!! :w00t: BTW, if anyone should ever come across the same difficulty I had, get the Geomancer class, and the Wind Slash ability. Works wonders!
