I BEATED CID RAINES!!! YAAAAY!!! :panic:
My Team was Lightning as COM, Snow as SEN and Vanille as MED... But i switched the Paradigm many times!
When the Deathcounter appeared, I panicked the hell out of me! And BEFORE my Deathcounter could hit the 10, I won the battle... God this was PURE luck! :sweatdrop:

Congrats!! :w00t: Switching Paradigms is a necessity in that fight. What do you mean, Deathclock? I don't remember Cid having an attack that could do that.

After his HP was under 10000, he casted on Lightning the Deathcounter...
Maybe he didn't used it on you, because you was faster than him? xD But he used it on me, really! >< I started to struggle then the Deathcounter started on me... But I'm now happy that I'm through this X_X

Details of the World Map/Dungeon system for Dissidia Duodecim

So it's kind of a world map, but the actual dungeons are based on the board game style from the first game. Which is cool, I didn't mind that at all.

Oh wow :o Sooo...FFXIII's end boss huh? That guy is, what's the right word......Oh yeh, he's a bit of a huge dick isn't he? Dont' get me wrong, the end boss of any game should be challenging and I'm glad it is but...goddamn, not even past the 6 million mark for his HP and he completely wiped me out with that Judgement attack of his. I think I understand why people dislike it so much, cause of all those debuffs he keeps casting right? Think I could definately use some more preparation.

^You can do it mate!!!

I kept my party fully buffed the whole battle so the Judgment Attack couldn't do that much damage, maybe not the fastest way to beat him, but it eventually worked. Also my charas were around 17-20000 HP

Just keep trying. I got wiped out so many times. But even now my characters don't have much past 10K health so it's doable under that amount. Just keep your buffs up whilst continually medicing when need be.

Yeh I know. I've maxed out each character's main roles already and working through the minor ones. I guess I do need a Medic for most of the time. My friend told me there's even a third form after that! :o I don't wanna die there and do that all over again! I'm actually a little scared  :nervous

They've announced the European release date for Dissidia Duodecim. 25th March. That's not far, and only 3 days ahead of the US release! :w00t: They also announced what's in the Collectors Edition:

Quote
  • 6 Art Prints
  • Downloadable costumes for Tifa and Squall
  • Voucher for 50% off FFI in the PSN Store

I think that's it, didn't read anything about an artbook or mini-soundtrack that came with the first Dissidia. Not bad. I'll be getting it for sure.

I preordered my Legacy Edition yesterday off Game.co.uk

Funniest thing; It's the same price as the regular edition. You'd be a FOOL not to buy it instead.

Also I've started playing Dissidia again and got the strategy guide super cheap. I'm sorta thankful my save got corrupted since it'd been so long since I played it anyway.

But yeah I'm excited :D

EDIT:

Just found this image of Gilgamesh from the game:

You've got to be kidding me. I got him down to half of his HP, sitting at at a respectable HP level, 5 buffs each. The motherfucker does that Judgement attack of his, something I survived previously, twice, and it wipes me out. What the hell?

I didn't feel sucked in by Dissidia which is a shame as there were some things I liked about it. My guess is that it is probably the character which I chose to begin, Cecil, as he was not fun to play with. I also didn't understand well the intricacies of the combat but I hope to give Duodecim a fair chance.

Oh, those still playing it, do you guys thing it would be better to wait or get the one old and give it another shot ?

If you have the first one hanging around somewhere then yeh definately give it another go. I wouldn't buy a new copy though, Duodecim is soon out and looks to include a lot of neat additions over the first.

Cecil was an annoying character IMO. He was good if you knew how to use him but...well I didn't  :nervous But yeah if you still have the game lying around pick it up, dust it off and play it a bit. Try Cloud for an easy character to use or Tidus. If you want a challenging character use Terra since most of her best moves are long distance but require more tactical thinking

^ That's why I hate Terra... :smhid I don't like her way of battling!
Cecil was ok but I couldn't get his moves so well down.... Zidane was ok... Warrior of Light can be used to it, Frion is ok as well... and Butz' EX Burst is cool! =D Cloud and Squall are my favourites!! I'm playing more with these two characters then all the others...
