i think metallica is a nice name. If they are finding it ugly, i think they should also ban the rock group named such, as well. May be even the rock group should also appeal to the officials ........ now that would be something worth the talk...... what say?!!!!

Well I think it's a stupid name... Children shouldn't be advertisements of their parents' hobbies.

But I still think they should allow it. It is pronounceable and much more like a real name comparing to these other cases in Sweden where parents have named their children by numbers and codes.

There already is a woman named Metallica in sweden. And the tax departement didn't want to "make the same mistake twice" by letting this baby has that name too *hahaah*

If there is no strict law prohibiting such idiotic names, they should allow it. It is her parents who will have to deal with it.

I still dig their old stuff; but the current albums are more like an indie-band project than the old great  (with the edged logo, etc..)
