Whoo! A new fanfic! And yes, I know I have a reputation for never finishing anything, but I have this all written out, don't worry! It's an adaptation of a novel of the same name, with H!P characters! And it's a horror, but for now it's a light fic. And yes there is some shounen-ai.
---------------------------------
"Narcissus died because he could only love his image at the expense of himself." - Wikipedia

I've always been one to look at myself in the mirror. Ever since I was a kid, I'd amuse myself, making faces, acting like my primping mother, pouting, and doing whatever!
I was always called a narcissist. My mom would say it, my nanny would say it, my sister would say it, everyone would say it! But I thought otherwise, never seeing myself as preoccupied with myself.
As I became older, I began to look at myself in the beautiful mirror in our parlor, just above the first flight of steps. It was a large mirror, large enough for a giant, and never lied about one's beauty.
I'd primp, polish, comb, strut, dress, brush, and live in front of that mirror.

While practicing for this year's summer concert, my true love, Kamei Eri, approached me. I thought she was going to say something, but she just spun me around for no reason, grabbing my sweatshirt pocket during the process.
I walked down the street from the practice hall to my apartment after practice, and as I shoved my hands in my sweatshirt pocket, I noticed something inside them...

A note!

"Michishige-cha~n!

You want to come to my place for spaghetti? Come by around 8 30-ish?

                      -Kame-chan!"

I ran down the streets in joy from this note! I spun around screaming "YES! YES!" and got a few glares. But I didn't regard their opinions. I was in love. L-O-V-E LOVE!
I sprinted down the streets to my apartment, running over Reina and Miki, barred through Yossie, and smacked right into Makoto, in turn tripping her, dropping her face into Takahashi's ass, which set her off to slap who was at eye level and behind her (which was Konno) which then immediately started a bitch-slap fight, which Gaki just happened to walk into. Yossie tried to calm them down, but to no avail. Miki finally ended up getting them all drunk, but that's not relevant right now. What's relevant is what happened that night to ME.

I got to my penthouse, ran up the stairs, took a long shower and listened to myself on the radio, and got dressed. I looked through my outfits.

Dress? Too formal.
Tank and miniskirt? Too informal. (and too slutty)
Low-cut long sleeve, white cami, plaid miniskirt, and my white heeled roman sandals? Perfect.
And so, I took a trek down that first flight of steps, stood in front of that mirror, checked myself out, and combed away at that hair. Brushed, and brushed, and brushed, and brushed, and brushed, and brushed, and...
...and brushed and brushed, and it was perfect!

And it was 8:20. I began to walk out to get the car, when I thought I hear a laugh coming from the direction of the mirror. I tried to shake it, figuring it was nothing. But nothing could shake the feeling that I was being...watched...And so, I left, trying to forget what happened.
"You'll pay your dues in time, my pretty little Sayu..."

Well, we'll start the comment requirement at 5 comments, then work our way up.

Yay! Chapter 2 is coming up soon, so here's replies!

rndmnwierd: It'll be Sayu's reflection, but not exactly Sayu. KAMEISHIGE FTW!

Yuu: I'm so out of touch with FF terminology, it's not even funny.

FIM: It'll get more intriguing, and an Ace will fall!

Mikitty-saikou: Well I needed something for Narcissism, and KAMEISHIGE FTW!

wordsworth: It won't require payment, it'll do something else

stefy: *gives snacks to help pass time*
------
As I walked out the door, I hit the button on the elevator, and strangely, it gave off a red glow instead of its usual gold. The elevator took a while, but it got up there eventually. I hopped in, pressed the button for B2 (Eri's floor, she liked the bottom!) and waited in the elevator, inching down on its cable...when suddenly, there was a loud snap, and the levator crashed down at a terrifying speed. It's like those drop things at amusement parks, except I wasn't on film on Haromoni, and I wasn't strapped in. Great, my hair was ruined, my makeup was smeared, and to top it all off, I couldn't go back up to my room. So, I pried the door open, and after a while made my way out of the wretched contraption. Eri greeted me, apparently she was waiting in front of it for me.

"You're late"

"You didn't hear that elevator crash down into your floor and then nearly kill me?"

"Nope"

Apparently Eri was oblivious. More oblivious than Tsuji. But still, there was Spaghetti, so I didn't care.

She served up the spaghetti in a large, elegant crystal bowl.

"Fettuchine A la Alfredo de Panchetta"

"And that means what exactly?"

"Fettuchine with a bacon-alfredo sauce. I found the recipe on some Marcella* girl's website"

"Hmm...sounds good, so let's dig in!"

And so she and I began to slurp our spaghetti. It tasted very nice, just rich enough so it wasn't a gel, nor was it runny like water. The sauce complimented the pasta perfectly: a rich sauce for a thick pasta.

"Wow Eri! THis is actually really good...never thought you could cook this well!"

"I never truly expose my inner chef. It's a really little known fact, but I love to cook!"

"Wow...and to think I thought you just ordered them here from that Italian place that's coincidentally nextdoor, had delivery service, and has their bags in your kitchen around a plate of Fettucini Alfredo"

"And you say this why...?"

"Because it's true, the delivery guy's probably coming back now to find he was shorted payment by you. Don't worry, I left out what I guessed was the payment you forgot. Plus a little tip, too."

"Wow...you're good...exact change what I didn't pay him and everything"

"Yep. Say, you want to watch a movie? I brought over Kagami**"

"Never seen it, but lets do it! Hold on while I get us some pyjamas" Eri rushed into the other room, faster than Kago seeing shortcake...which is at least 247.9 km/hr

Anyways, we watched the movie together, in fuzzy pyjamas, on her circle bed, on her 9-panel LCD wall, which she got as a present from the rest of us. But what struck me as really odd was that this looked like it happened to me...the new boyfriend, the ominous seemingly-nothing laughter, the narcissism...it was too scary. Not only that, but the set for Hakano's mansion looked nearly identical to my penthouse! Suddenly, I saw a flash outside my window, and the roll of thunder was deafening.

Kamei sprang up (knoching over me, because I was on top of her) and ran screaming to the spot between her bed and her floor (which was reeeeeally a tight fit) I tried to fit, but kept getting stuck at my "assests" which kept making me blush and made Eri's nose bleed. Suddenly, there was some momentary shaking, and Eri's bead cracked, and fell on top of the two of us, narrowly missing my head, and a board fell onto Eri's.

"Fuck" she yelled. "I knew this bed was too cheap"

And so, we lay there, under her bed, neither of us wanting to move. Our heads were close, we were turned towards each other, and that's when it happened.

She kissed me, ever so softly, but oh so passionately. It seemed heavensent, and it was happening to me. Then, we slid out of that bed, and locked the door.

*Marcella Hazan, a famous Italian cook
** Kagami is also known as "The Mirror" and is based on the same novel as this is.

I'm relieved that Eri was able to make spaghetti with all those foreign-sounding ingredients. I believe she had trouble distinguishing what a mango was way back  :D

The kiss was cute. So innocent... ;)

Hahah, that gave me the extreme giggles right there.

Eri being oblivious was cute, and so was how she tried to convince Sayu that she was some sort of amazing cook. <3 But creepy about the movie... o_o I dunno what's going to happen, so I guess I'll have to wait and see. Lol @ the bed and -squee~!- @ the kiss. :3 -prods at you for more-

Third: Who is Hakitty?
Hagiwara Mai is my guess. In one of the songs on MM's 7.5 Mini-album, Miki sings with Okai and Maimai, and in the lyrics she refers to her as "Hakitty".

Yup, Hakitty is Hagiwara Mai-chan. Was going to use another member, but I needed her to not be there yet. So, I used Hakitty!

And for anyone that's wondering, HTF=How the F***?

Well, here we go: chapter 3. And I'd like the credit my amazing editor JFC, thank you~!

---
Over the course of the next few months, Eri and I became closer and closer. We  were spending practically all of our time (both at work AND away from work) together. We did the usual stuff couples would do. We'd hold hands on those cool summer nights, go walking through the festivals, feed each other those delicious Fruit Ices, and of course, exchange warm, loving hugs. Our lives were inseparable, our souls tightly intertwined as if a dream-catcher. There was no stopping us.  Wherever one went, the other, as sure as the rising sun, was sure to follow. For me it was the epitome of joy...until that one cold, cruel November night.

I was out alone on a cold November night, and Eri and I were going on a date.   I was to meet her in the park at 7 o'clock sharp.  Don't ask me why, but for some reason, I didn't wear a coat that night. There I was in the park, wearing a halter, miniskirt, striped scarf, and Ugg boots. It was now 7:20 pm, and she wasn’t there. 7:30 pm, still no Eri. I tried calling her cell phone. First call, no answer. Second call, no answer. ELEVENTH call, and there was still no answer. After that, I did the only logical thing left…I went to her apartment.

I came up to the front door, and press the “buzzer button” to let her know I was there so that she could let me in the building. Strangely though, there was no response. Now I was worried, what if Eri had hurt herself and was unable to call for help? I had to find a way into her apartment. I walked around the tall, red brick building. Seeing that the fire escape was partway open, I crawled down into it. It was a tight squeeze (since, after all it was to be used in emergencies only). I was making my way halfway through B1 when I began to hear what sounded like grunting.

Something’s up…

As I came down, getting closer to Eri's apartment on B2, the grunting only escalated in volume. I finally managed to open the door that leads from Eri's apartment to the fire escape, and…

“OH MY GOD!”
“WHAT THE HELL?”
“I CAN EXPLAIN!”
“OH SHIT!”
“RUN!”
“REINA YOU BITCH!”
“OW~~~!”
“FUCK YOU ERIRIN!”

That's when I ran. I ran away from that image that had burned itself into and broke my heart. I ran away from those two naked, bodies that I had seen intertwined. I ran away from Eri and Reina, both of whom I had loved (though in different ways). Everything that made me who I am was now broken. I ran for what felt like forever. I soon found myself sitting on a park bench under the late night sky. It was there that I cried. I let myself loose, no longer able to contain my emotions. I welcomed the rain when it began to come down. It would hide my tears from the world. After a while I felt the presence of another person beside me. When I looked up and saw who it was, I didn't care that at that moment, she saw me as a blubbering mess.

“Sayu-chan?” she asked.  I replied between sobs,
“Hai, Yuko-senpai.”
“What’s wrong?” She sat with me and let me put my head on her shoulder, at which point I just lost it again. I grabbed onto her like she was a life preserver, buried my face into her coat and managed to wail,
“Eri…*sob*…shewasch…*sob*…eatingonm…*sob*…mewithRe…*sob*…Rei…*sob*…Reinaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”
“Oh dear…well we’ll need to get you fixed up, would you like to stay at my place tonight?”
“That…*sob*…would be nice…thank you Yuko-senpai.”

“Okay then...” the older said, pulling out her cell phone, and hitting one of her speed-dials. As I heard the other end ringing, the rain died down and the clouds began to part.
“Kei-chan? I need a pickup in Tokyo. Right by the fountain. No, Sayu-chan’s here with me. Yeah, we can get some. Ok, see you soon, I love you too. Bye~!” and just like that, she snapped her phone shut.

“Wait…Kei-chan? You mean Yasuda-san?” Since when did she get a car?
“Yes. Didn’t you know she moonlights as a chauffeur outside of H!P?” In my head I began to think, Eh? I never knew tha- when suddenly my mental daze was interrupted by the screeching of limousine tires.  From what I knew of her passion for stage acting, it was strange trying to picture Yasuda-san as someone who'd drive others around for a living. Then again, she was into trying/doing a wide variety of things.

“Huh…normally she can get here faster…” Yuko whispered, dragging me with her to the limousine.
“Hi Kei-chan, mind if I drive this time?”
“I’d rather live through this ride, thanks” I sheepishly squeaked from the back. Yasuda-san chuckled while Yuko-senpai just rolled her eyes at both of us.
“Well then, off to Baskin Robbins I presume?” our driver asked us.
“Please,” I said, wiping my wet face and trying to fix my now nappy hair. I'm going to need a REALLY big spoon....
