Catapult boy is eaten after taunting crocodile in pen

A schoolboy who climbed over a fence into a crocodile enclosure and taunted the animals with sticks and a catapult was dragged into the water and eaten.

Sticks and catapults? Even knights had swords and lances against dragons!

I hope his friends remember that catapults kill fortresses not crocodiles.

man, that's terrible. i feel bad for the kid, but he really shouldn't mess the crocodiles, he shouldn't even try to get near them, i mean to cross the fence and taunt the crocodiles....

well if he didn't know better than his parents should've taught him better...but in a way that's bullshit - when i was a little kid i knew that there's certain things you don't mess around with even tho no one told me...

I know everyone is thinking that he's stupid and everything, but he's really only nine. He probably doesn't know any better. I mean, everyone has done stupid things in the past, right?

That doesn't mean I think this kid isn't stupid though <_<. He just seems to have ventured too far.

Well, the crocs were probably not very active so the kid and his mates must've thought they were docile. We've seen enough documentaries to know how fast they can move whent ehy want to so they must have been preety shocked to see the croc grab their friend. I agree, pretty horrible way to die but hope this lesson can save future lives

if the boy would've been swimming in a river and was attacked by the croc, then that would be one thing...but keep in mind these kids jumped a fence or wall or whatever (which means they were trespassing and shouldn't have been in there in the first place) and i'm sorry, but 9 years old is well old enough to know (well at least supposed to know) that you don't mess with something like a crocodile plain and simple...if it were a 3 year old, then yeah, a 3 year old honestly wouldn't know better...but 9? come on now...so that means either his parents didn't teach him well enough or he was in fact not the brightest crayon in the box...'he didn't know better' yeah right...

I feel sorry for the boy. Yeah it was stupid but that's what kids commonly are.
