hope it's not hacking ....... good thing is I usually change passwords frequently ...... today is the day .......

is it just me or Japanese is no longer available ??? :yep:

^ That's strange. You use a virus checker? You left your passwords saved in your browser and someone played with your account?

That's odd.

It's not really a problem with the forum, but how do I check replies to my PMs? I can see origianl PMs that I've sent out or have been sent to me, but I can't see the ones where I've replied to someone else's PM.

Member A sends me a PM. Instead of sending Member A new PM, I click the "Reply" button in the top right corner. When I view Member A's PM, it says "You have forwarded or responded to this message" in the title of the PM. Is there a way I can view my reply?

^I checked there before but didn't see them. I just checked again and noticed that my Outbox only shows PMs I sent until March 15, 2007. I can only see PMs sent after March 15 if I use "Search Messages". Now I know how to see them, but why aren't they in the full outbox list?

How do you have your PMs set to display? Personally, I've got mine set to show the most recent first and I'm not missing any PMs.

^Mine is set the same way. I tried changing it to the other two ways and then and then switching back to date, but still nothing.

edit: Nevermind. I sorted by sender and now all PMs are showing.

Thanks.

Hi, I want to hide my email address but every time I go to my profile page, it's still there.

I've already gone to my profile to check the box that says "Hide email address" yet it seems to be permanently there.

Can you please tell me if it's only me who can see it? Or is it something to do with the forum?

Thanks!!  :)

PS: I ask because I haven't had much experience with this forum despite joining 2 years ago haha....

You can see it because it's your e-mail address, but for the rest of us it is hidden..

Oh, OK, thanks heaps Guchi_Jnr!!!

I know this is annoying but can you, or anyone else, just double check that my email is not showing? Just reply in this thread to confirm. Thanks heaps!!!

PS: @ Guchi_jnr - Hey man, it's me...the Aussie that used to talk to you on several occasions before, via PM. Sorry mate, I've had the hardest few months and haven't had the chance to contact you and see how you're doing. Even my post count indicates that I haven't been coming to this forum much. How are you doing? {maybe we should continue this talk via PM?}

More of a question than a problem. Is it no longer necessary to use the Youtube tags when/if we want to embed a video in a post?

I put the following in the following post. This is EXACTLY how the text in the post currently stands (tagged video on top, full URL underneath):
Code: [Select]
Lego-Vader FTW.

http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv5iEK-IEzw
http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=1622.msg489263#msg489263

Now for some reason, on my Firefox if I use the tags I don't see the video window that uses the tags, but the full URL of the video works.

If I look at the same post with Internet Explorer, I see windows for both the tagged and the non-tagged versions.

Now, granted I just switched to FF3 today, but I don't think that's the problem, as I had noticed the same thing happening on Thursday when I posted the full URL to a video in the Ogawa Makoto thread where she speaks English. The page on YouTube had said that the uploader had disabled embedding, so I just posted the full URL intending it to be a link. But then when I hit the Post button I found that the video window popped up instead.

That's correct  tru_harmony, almost all user options related to user profiles you need to be registered :D
