Well, Miki must be right now talking with UFA and HP top brass. She said on Yando that the pics on Friday magazine were true, and admitted she's been dating this guy. She also said that she was going to talk with UFA bosses about it and that it will be decided her position with MM there. So we should prepare for leader Takahashi.

Yes, she admitted it, and she apologized to her fans for causing them to worry, but what amused me is that Sanma didn't stop poking at her and making sarcastic comments during all the show, and by the reactions of the rest of the crew there (Aichan included), this is no scandal at all, it's just a case of "oh. okay, you're dating, you should have told us, lets move on".

Did the guy admit too? If he isn't ready to come clean about their relationship she's gonna lose both ways. ARGHS, and here I was hoping that things will blow over. Looks like Ai didn't technically shoot her mouth off since Miki let it out herself.

Of course, Aichan's comments on that press conference were made AFTER the Yando recordings, so she knew that Miki would be on air admitting it. It would be stupid of her to deny it when she was present at the Yando recording.

I don't see what the big deal is. Miki is 22 years old so its really no ones business who an an adult sleeps with. This stuff is starting to get really irritating.

UFA did not deny anything. According to a report by FujiTV, someone at UFA said that there was no proof in the Friday article that they were dating. So far UFA has not made an official statement. Now they will issue one, with all the facts at hand. And Miki admits it because:
1 - it is true, and EVERYBODY knew it was true, so no point in denying it now
2 - she probably wants to keep dating the guy, so there's a chance they will be caught again, and it would look worse than admitting it now
3 - since she's an adult, and there's nothing illegal involved, the only thing that may suffer is her status in MM. Worse case scenario, she steps down as Mari did, but unlike Mari, she still has GAM and she's in the middle of a concert tour now, so I don't think UFA will cancel the tour because of this.

"someone at UFA" means they were floating this idea as a response to the story to see what would happen. It might have worked, IF miki had chosen to stop seeing the guy. but now there is no chance of the deny strategy working. UFA now have to make an official statement and miki has a choice to make.

but if she had chosen to just stop seeing the guy she could have stayed silent and seen what happened, but she didn't, which made me think she might have chosen the other option

She just want to leave MM asap, but when she didn't get kicked out, she changed to plan B. A selfish leader indeed, someone who really should have kept her status as a soloist. A poor decision by Tsunku to bring her in. Did she even think about other members, staffs, and the company before she does or says something? I actually never like her before and now I'm starting to hate her. Without her, MM will then be an all nice little girl group (I mean in term of appearance

I'd like to personally congratulate Miki. I think I might write to Young Town just to show her my support. The lady has spoken. Her boyfriend goes first, the group talk comes later. But as I read above, we all knew it. The guy says "contact my agency", Ai says "we shall take care" and Sanma says "Ai look out not to get caught"... I'd say it's even obvious Ai is also dating someone lol

I'm so glad they didn't mention GAM at all. After all, the virginal behaviour is only associated to Morning Musume. And it's nice to read no one booed her at GAM's concert. Now she admitted the relationship, I think it's a matter of time to see the news of her quit (like Mari's) from Morning Musume. That, or UFA might try something new and let her continue and see if it affects sales somehow, for good or for bad, if Miki stays on MM it can be understood as a step to get rid of the stigma that associates MM to old perv fans. There are 8 other girls drawing attention and fans after all.
