In Poland, the spokeswoman for children's rights is considering banning the popular British television show The Teletubbies.

The Polish official has ordered psychologists to investigate whether the television program, which is popular among toddlers worldwide, encourages homosexuality.

Ewa Sowinska has singled out the purple character Tinky Winky as suspicious, saying he has very girly taste when it comes to his fashion accessories. She is concerned that while Tinky Winky has a low voice he also often sports a very glitzy handbag. She thinks he might be promoting a homosexual lifestyle to his young viewers.

I would ban the show because it's so stupid. Not because of homosexuality.

I grew up watching He-Man, I recommend that to kids of today as well. He-Man with his muscular body, blond long hair and furry underpants is much better rolemodel for kids than gay-teletubbies!

Anyway, so what if he's promoting a homosexual lifestyle (whatever that is)? Is that somehow worse than promoting a heterosexual lifestyle?

I don't think sexual preferences of any sort should be focused on in kid's programming. Reflecting the diversity of the country's population is definitely alright though. I see this as being about the same sort of thing as if the KKK was protesting because there was a black Teletubby.

XDDDD actually they really invetigate this one and said that it was nothing wrong in the Tubie using a red handbag and there was nothing of sexual references undercover or anything like that... the conclusion? they just waste time and money in some stupid issue

but i read this one of the investigation in a local newspaper, i mean what a waste investigating if the teletubbies are gays in the closet... but hey! everyone know they can´t be more gay XDDDD it´s not something undercover, it´s evident.

Seriously, kids shows these days are becoming stupider and stupider. I remember going through the tv at like 5am. I went through one of those kids channels like the disney channel or something and there was this show with flying laughing furballs and a bunch of colors... it was like I was on some acid trip or something. lol

We need to go back in the days when kids watched shows like he-man, gi-joe, and ninja turtles. lol
