The problem is, if you have been following JPOP news in the last years, that the other labels wait for Zetima to announce their releases, and they announce accordingly. At least it has been like that for two years, I remember last year AVEX waited for the GAM release announcement to release Koda Koumi's singles, and same with Utada (or was it Hamasaki?) waiting for the Matsuura release date to release the same day. So maybe they know who will release, but the trick is to know when, and also who will announce first.

They got 2nd for the week! Woohoo!
Everytime they release its against the odds of something or another (I mean Kinki Kids with Kanashimi was a hard battle) but they stick to it the best they can and rank up high! Morning Musume keeps rolling~ and they deserve to be happy for doing as well as they do!

All the planning when to release and other people purposely releasing at the same time... sounds all political and businessy... it's one of those necessary icky things I guess. At least its for the good cause that is Musume right?

yah i guess MoMusu will have these tough competitors competing for the top spot. and from how things are said, seems that that other labels purposely release their singles in the same week as MoMusu for some reason. But despite that, they were still able to take part in the Top 10 position, which is extraordinary. That proves that MoMusu are tough competitors too and is here to stay.... and it not just the top 10, but in the top 5 and most is even in the top 3 spot. their are the group to be reckon with.

Actually, its smart to release in a week with a big name competitor. It brings more people to the stores, and thats more potential customers who will see the new MM CD in the new releases section next to the one that they planned to buy in the first place.

I wonder if that accounts for some of their dips in sales. I remember a few years ago that if a really big name announced a release on the same day, the MM. date would sometimes move.

Yay go Morning Musume. #2 is pretty good. Even though I would want them to be #1. Peach is really catchy plus Otsuka Ai is cute as hell.

there's no doubt Ai Otsuka's PEACH will get to #1, its becuase it is the ending theme of a very popular dorama currently airing in japan ryt now. Hana Kimi or hanazakari o Kimitachi he. It is being played on TV every week. and the dorama was really good too so thats how otsuka hets the #1 spot (IMO)

well, for a 'popular drama' its doing pretty crappily, same with Orange Range's song for the same drama, it did crappily. With the ratings that it has, the songs should be selling much much more.

and maybe the MM fans who def will buy the MM single will expend some more XDD but i just guessing, probably they expend the extra money in H!P merchandising XDDDDD
