I don't think the type of crime committed is at issue here. When you commit a crime, you get punished for it, that's the law. Paris Hilton thinks the law doesn't apply to her, and is trying to use money and her 'fame' to get out of it. That's what's annoying me. I think the whole fascination with this case is the fact that for us 'mere mortals' we love to see celebrities fall from grace.
It's good to see her locked away again. The screaming, crying, sounds like it came straight out of a soap opera.
Like SITS said, I myself don't want to see her plastered over the front page of newspapers just because she's having a fashion disaster or whatever. That's not news, nor should it ever be. At least for 45 days we shouldn't hear anymore about her. A couple more years would do nicely.
