I think the marriage or at the point of the retirement announcment the engagement was the reason but if this was Yumi's own decision to retire from gravure or if other parties told her to retire I don't know. So at least indirectly he was the reason. Also I can't rembemer if Yumi said before or after quitting gravure that she wants to focus on acting. Wanting to act more could also be a reason.

I should have asked her parents about that when I met them after the play almost 5 months ago.
I'll do my best next time. Gonna become a voice of this forum for her

No so close. It's a long story, but I finally met her in real for the first time after the play was finished. The one called 女帝 on May 31 back in 2018 if you remember.
We had a short but exciting conversation and we took a picture together. Then I decided to go there again a couple of day later and then after meeting with her for the second time, she introduced her parents to me, they were waiting for her behind my back. I was shockingly surprised, it was like winning a jackpot! They are so lovely!
We had a wonderful conversation. Her father can speak English very well. He asked me to support Yumi by buying tickets

We accidentally met each other again in June this year after the play. But I couldn't meet with Yumi. After a short conversation I got his email. That's all for now

In an Interview after the marriage she mentioned learning English and I think as she was in China for photoshoots this year, she said that she was talking English there.

She's not fluent. I asked her if she studies English and she said a little. During 3 months of my stay at that time I learned a little of Japanese, so we were speaking Japanese. And surprisingly, it was so easy to understand her and express myself. And I'm glad it's not

I got her father's email, not hers. But anyway, he didn't reply to me. I wanna send a Christmas email to him anyway.
He told me Yumi is the youngest. She has elder brother and sister and they both have children.

I don't know her ex's appearance, but I think I didn't see him. I guess I would notice him if he came to her with flowers etc.
